Secret Worlds: the Universe within

If you want to experience how truly insignificant and minute we truly are, in the grand cosmic scheme of things, click here.

It starts off with the Milky Way (10 million light years from Earth) and quickly moves through space, towards earth, and ends with the subatomic universe of electrons and protons of an oak tree leaf.

Our world is amazing!

Enjoy.

Truly facinating. I have often wondered if smallness might not be as infinite as largeness.

Fascinating? I can only assume that you Americans need little things like this to make you understand something. The rest of us read or get educated in schools.

I hope this simple little thing will wow some of you. For the rest of us, we'll show it to our kindergarten students.

I've seen this before. It's a great illustration that really helps put things in perspective.

I guess Fidelio does not realise that some of us reading this blog are not Americans !And even though all of us learnt this in school(I know the Americans did because my step kids have learnt it in school)it is still fascinating.
Hey Fidelio...get a life...some lame comments on a blog does not an intelligent person make ...

Thanks for sharing that. I sent it along to my son and husband. Both are space/science freaks. After the recent space shuttle adventure, it's good to be inspired.

Fidelio is showing his own level of intelligence, isn't he? When a person can't find an argument then the name calling begins. It is the least of the debating forms. I don't understand why anyone would discourage curiousity at any level.

DANNY: It is a wonderful reminder, is it not.

FIDELIO: Ha! I must say I do get a laugh at the various AKAs you manage to come up with Purist/Lambent/Troika/Richard.. Oh and Char Siu Bao... remember that one? I've forgotten some of the other one's. Is there a reason you don't have the courage to admit who you really are? At least I admit I'm a coward. And I should have added "reminder" somewhere in the post, but figured I didn't need to. I'm glad this made you feel superior. Here to serve.

PAN: It certainly does. At least for those who feel they are grander than they really are, in the cosmic scheme of things.

FRASY: Read my response to Fidelio, FRASY. He's an ex-pat who lives in Hong Kong who loves to bait me. And that's fine. He obviously needs to. I've no idea what they teach kids in the U.S. because I did not grow up here, either.

KAREN: Again, if you read my response to Fidelio and Frasy you will see that it is more laughable than anything else. He's just who he is.

That was funny Incog! About the calling out Fidelio part...I was wondering about how you did it but it is easy when you have a sitemeter!Fidelio and Troika are the same...Interesting...
So glad you dont mention where you live,Incog.

Everyone needs reminded that they are not the center of the universe - especially Fidelio!

Thank you, Incog. That was terrific! Am sending the site to my teenager who constantly debates with his father on various scientific items!
