11-Year-Old's Painful Rendition Of National Anthem

Little Harper Gruzins- who calls herself a “singer-songwriter"- from Coppell, Texas, massacred the Star-Spangled Banner at a soccer match between Los Angeles and Dallas. I'm not sure what she was trying to do but it actually sounds like an old warped record.

Her performance has been touted by many as being the worst rendition of the National Anthem, ever, topping Roseanne Barr and Steve Tyler's abysmal performances. Naturally, her parents are very upset about the kid being ripped to shreds. Okay, so she's only 11-years-old, and maybe some of the criticism is a little harsh, but it was bad. Of course, she blamed it on the blowhorns:

“It wasn’t my best performance because I couldn’t hear myself and the blowhorns got me off key.”

But it wasn't just being off key that made it so painful. But you be the judge.

If the kid wants to perform publicly before she is ready- and I blame the parents and her vocal coach for that- then she has to take the criticism if she isn't up to par.

Warning, do not turn up the volume. This is actually painful, but has to be listened to be believed.

Here's Harper singing at an indoor game without blowhorns, and she's only a tiny bit better.
