Unsolved Murder of Pakistani Girl Was Honor Killing By Her Dad

Another Pakistani honor killing, although the murder of 16-year-old Musarrat Ahmad wasn't initially designated as that.  Not much information regarding why, other than the fact that the young girl went off somewhere on her own at 10 p.m. without telling anyone. When she finally returned, her dad allegedly beat her to death. Her brother finally confessed that the father was the culprit.

The investigation into the murder of a young girl at the Air Force Complex, E-9, took a stunning turn when the victim’s younger brother alleged that their father was the killer. According to him, his father threw the dead body from the apartment and later lodged an FIR with the Margalla Police Station against the unidentified assailants.
Musarrat Ahmad, 16, was found dead with multiple wounds in different parts of her body and a broken arm near her apartment.
The Air Force official allegedly tortured his teenage daughter to death over the ‘honour issue’, beating her with an iron rod and a cricket bat and kept hitting her head, stomach and back till her death, the investigators, quoting his confessional statement, told ‘The News’.
Pakistan isn't Saudi Arabia, and women have more freedom there, but obviously not this teen.

Slovak Hang-Gliders Detained In Iran For Spying

The uber-paranoid Iranians have detained a group of  five or six Slovak hang-gliders accusing them of spying.  The group were part of a hang-gliding club that decided to spend their vacay in Iran, and were allegedly taking photos of sites including military facilities. Who knows if they did or not, or whether it was intentional or not, but it's highly doubtful they are spies, though that won't stop the Iranians from detaining them indefinitely.

According to RFE/RL, back in January another Slovak, 26-year-old Matej Valuch, was accused of spying for the US, but was later released.

Brian Lilley Talks About The Canadian Section 13 Thought Crime Going Bye-Bye

Brian Lilley, of Sun News, discusses the Canadian Senate finally repealing Section 13 of the Canadian Human Rights Act. The part of the CHRA  that made it an offense "to post something online that was likely to expose an identifiable group to hatred and contempt." Emphasis on likely.

For those who might not be familiar- it's the issue Canadian bloggers have been fighting against for years. Many have been sued over it, including Blazing Catfur. It will still be a crime to incite violence, it's just the 'thought crime" legislation that will go bye-bye next year. Finally.

Mark Steyn was the catalyst for inspiring Section 13. After excerpts from his book "America Alone" were posted on the website of McLean's magazine, Muslim activists set out to target both Steyn and McLeans, as punishment, thus Section 13 was born.

Congrats to our Canadian cousins. Keep up the good work. It's a first step.

Tammy Duckworth Blasts Braulio Castillo For Gaming Veterans Benefits System

Okay, so Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth is a Democrat from Illinois, but she also happens to be a military veteran who lost both her legs (and might lose her arm) serving with the National Guard in Iraq. And she's very passionate about military veterans issues. So when it came to light that Braulio Castillo, CEO of  the computer services company Strong Castle, Inc was awarded million dollar contracts from the IRS reserved specifically for businesses owned by service-disabled vets, she (and others) balked. You see, Braulio Castillo hurt his ankle years ago while playing football at a military prep school that he attended prior to college. That's it. He continued to play football in college but has never served in the military, and yet he was given service-disabled designation because of his ankle injury. A friend at the IRS allegedly helped secure those contracts. Unfair? You bet.

During a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing, Duckworth layed into Castillo for essentially gaming the system, and taking away work from those who rightfully deserve it. That video (below) has gone viral.

"I'm so glad that you would be willing to play football in prep school again 'to protect this great country." "Shame on you, Mr. Castillo. Shame on you. You may not have broken any laws, we're not sure yet ... but you certainly broke the trust of this nation. You broke the trust of veterans. Iraq and Afghanistan veterans right now are waiting an average of 237 days for an initial disability rating and it is because [of] people like you who are gaming the system are adding to that backlog so that young men and women who are suffering from post-traumatic stress, who are missing limbs, cannot get the compensation and the help that they need."
Somehow Castillo received a disability rating of 30 percent for his ankle injury in prep school, while Duckworth received 20 percent for her severely injured arm. When asked if Castillo believed his rating was accurate he replied, yes. Duckworth's response:

"You know, my right arm was essentially blown off and re-attached." "I spent a year in limb salvage with over a dozen surgeries over that time period and, in fact, we thought we would lose my arm and I'm still in danger of possibly losing my arm. I can't feel it. I can't feel my three fingers. My disability rating for that arm is 20 percent." [snip]
"I recovered with a young man, a Navy corpsman, who — while he was running into an ambush where his Marines were hurt — had his leg knocked off with an RPG." "He put a tourniquet on himself and crawled forward. He is [the one] who played through the pain, Mr. Castillo, you did not. You took advantage of the system. You described this status just today, [saying] that other companies were using these special statuses as 'competitive weapons' against you — you, who never picked up a weapon in defense of this great nation very cynically took advantage of the system. You broke the faith with this nation. You broke the faith with the men and women who lie in hospitals right now at Walter Reed in Bethesda, at Brook Army Medical Center in [San Antonio], you broke the faith with them. And if this nation stops funding veterans' health care, and stops.. and calls into question why veterans deserve their benefits. its because cases like you have poisooned the publics's opinions on these programmes."  [snip]
"Twisting your ankle in prep school is not defending or serving this nation, Mr. Castillo."
Brava, Ms Duckworth!

More info about Castillo, including the fact that he claims in his bio on his website that he served in the military.

Anjem Choudary Justifies Murder Of Lee Rigby

In this video, Muslim hate-preacher Anjem Choudary justifies the murder of soldier Lee Rigby in Woolwich by Christian-turned-radical Muslim Michael Adebolajo, calling him a "nice man".  He also talks about having no sympathy for Rigby or any other non-Muslim, and that Lee will go straight to hell for not being a Muslim.

"So as an adult non-Muslim, whether he is part of the Army or not part of the Army, if he dies in a state of disbelief then he is going to go to the hellfire."

"That's what I believe so I'm not going to feel sorry for non-Muslims."

And this man gets to live on the dole and preach hate, when people like Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer are banned from entering the U.K. Looks like free speech is selective in Britain.

Orthodox Jews To Protect North London Mosque

Well, this is very nice of them. The Orthodox Jewish 'Shomrim' patrol has agreed to protect a mosque in the predominantly Jewish town of Hackney in north London. After the beheading of British soldier Lee Rigby in Woolwich, there has apparently been an increase in hate crimes targeting Muslims, so the North London Community Center in Hackney asked for help.

The deal was brokered at a recent meeting coordinated by Ian Sharer, a member of the local council, the Hackney Gazette reported this week.

[snip]

Sharer, who is Jewish, told the Gazette that he was asked by “Muslim friends to chair the meeting. The meeting was a great success. The Shomrim patrols have agreed to include the local mosques and other buildings as part of their routine patrols.”

Unlike the Muslim Patrol that aggressively harasses non-Muslims and Muslims alike in Muslim London neighborhoods, members of the Shomrim patrol the streets in order to protect.  It was created in 2008 to protect Jews from anti-Semitic hate crimes. There are 22 members who have been trained by local police. The streets are patrolled day and night.

If there was a mosque in a mostly Muslim British borough, I wonder if the Muslims would agree to provide the same protection?

No Women At Saudi Conference On "Women In Society"

Saudi Arabia allegedly hosted a global conference last year on "women in society", at the University of Qassim. Supposedly 15 countries were represented there.  But check out the photo below, they're all men.

The photo is only now going viral, for obvious reasons- the fact there is not one female in attendance at a conference devoted to women.  Although, when you think about it, it actually makes sense to not include women, since they are mostly hidden from society in places like Saudi Arabia. Just another example of the diminished role women have in most Islamic countries. And then there's that gender segregation issue.

Of course, who knows if this is for real. Huffington Post did do some research and found the photo on Beladalorb.com which was sourced from the Saudi paper Okaz, but you never know.

Hamas' Ismail Haniyeh- Palestinians Will Not Recognize Israel

From the lips of Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh:

"We had two wars in which hundreds of people died, and thousands of acres of land were destroyed, but Palestinians did not and will not recognize Israel."
He said this to a bunch of pro-Palestinian international activists a few days ago, thanking them for visiting Gaza, and called on more to come.

Haniyeh said aid groups who visited Gaza in solidarity had a political and a humanitarian message, showing that Gaza did not stand alone.

"These groups, along with the help of God and the Palestinian steadfastness, eased the siege," he added.
Regarding Jerusalem:

"The (Israeli) occupation built a hundred synagogues around al-Aqsa to deceive the world and falsify facts."
I guess he forgets that Christians were in Jerusalem way before Muslims.

And this is why there is no peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians.

Aussie Imam- Over 100 Extremists Capable Of Violence Living In Sydney

A moderate Australian imam, Afroz Ali, admits that there are well over 100 radicalized young Muslim men living in Sydney suburbs who are on the verge of going over to the dark side of terrorism, and there's nothing he can do about it, although he's tried his damnedest.

Ali voiced his concern to 20 other imams during the April National Imam's Consultative Forum, which has the backing of the Aussie government.

"We have had a program for the last seven years now in which we have had 240 people who were considered to be moving in a direction which may have led them to violent radicalisation - to terrorism," Imam Afroz told the national forum.

"What we have found is, of the 240 people, 120, exactly half of them, are people who have changed their thinking, their mindset. That is something that I don't necessarily share too widely in public, but I am happy to share it here."

The videotaped conference is only just  airing on Channel 7's Today Tonight, and they were unable to contact Afroz for comment.  However, ex-radical Maajid Nawaz was available to talk.

He said he did not consider it a success that there were still 120 young radicals potentially headed for terrorism.

"I find it astonishing we've got one centre that has 240 radicals," Mr Mawaz told Today Tonight

"If 120 can become violent in one Islamic centre, that tells me the scale of the problem. It's massive because that's only one centre."

Australians should be very scared.

We're Coming To Slaughter You- Syrian Art Collective Satire Video To Stop Sectarian Violence

Through music and satire, Bidayyat- a Syrian art collective- is shining light on the horrendous use of children to stir up sectarian violence and slaughter in Syria.

It all started back in February, 2013, when the video of a young boy in Idlib province, northern Syria, showed up on YouTube. Filmed by Syrian rebels, the boy is shown singing al-Qaeda songs glorifying Osama Bin Laden, and calling for the slaughter of Alawites and Shiites. That video was used by both sides of the conflict to incite sectarian violence. Shortly thereafter, a video was posted on YouTube of another little boy, this time from Damascus, glorifying the bloody exploits of the Syrian Army's 4th Brigade, and how they were "coming to slaughter you."  This video was also used by both sides to stir things up.

The collective decided to tackle the increasing and troubling trend of using kids to foment violence, by producing the following video.

"We came to the conclusion that irony is one of the few means capable to resist violence, hatred and sectarian killing." "Irony prevails over hate speech, as it uses the more human impulses of laughter, joy, dancing and sarcasm."

Therefore, we produced this sarcastic video in the aim and hope that the two children of opposite will someday live side by side in dignity and freedom in a new Syria, free of tyrants and sectarian hatred.

New Syria, a country characterized by peaceful co-existence, justice and freedom as well as happiness and irony.

Note how the artists mock the sawing arm motion of the kid in the first video.

More Syrian Rebel Barbarism

We're about to officially supply arms and weapons to the Syrian rebels, and we all know some of those arms are going to end up in the hand of these barbarians.

According to Syrian Rebel Watch, the jihadists are from a mostly Chechen group Jaish al-Muhajireen wal-Ansar. You can see from the video that they're foreigners, both from their language and physical appearance.

Three blindfolded civilian men are kneeling as a crowd, including children, chanting Allahu Akbar (God is greatest) witness the beheading of two of the men. I assume the third was decapitated as well. It's horrific, inhumane, barbaric. These people are smiling, laughing and clicking away with their cellphones. And this is who the U.S. is indirectly supporting.

FBI Caves To Islam- Will Remove 'Faces Of Global Terrorism" Bus Ads

The FBI caved to pressure regarding its "Faces of Global Terrorism" bus ads. Am I surprised? No. Disappointed, yes. The ads were not racist considering the bulk of the most wanted terrorists happen to be Muslim.

But Democratic Congressman Jim McDermott got his way.

The FBI says it’s pulling some advertisements off buses in the Seattle area, after some people complained that they stereotyped Muslims.

The ads, which began running this month in connection with a State Department program, features pictures of 16 men wanted around the globe for terrorist activities below the words: “Faces of Global Terrorism.”
Among those criticizing the ads was U.S. Rep. Jim McDermott of Seattle, who suggested they gave the impression that “terrorism only comes from one religion or one color of people,” and said the ads might increase the risk of hate crimes against Middle Eastern, South Asian and Muslim Americans.

Seattle FBI Special Agent Fred Gutt says the agency agrees that the ads could be taken that way. The FBI is working swap out those ads with others promoting the State Department’s “Rewards for Justice” program.

Newsflash Jim, terrorism today does come, predominately, from one religion, and race has absolutely nothing to do with it.

The Beauty Of Israel Through The Eyes Of A Muslim Physician

Fascinating narrative on her first visit to Israel by Dr. Qanta Ahmed, professor of medicine at State University of New York at Stony Brook. She's a Muslim of Pakistani heritage who got the grand tour via helicopter, or as she puts it "how God sees it."  Uri, her tour guide, an Israeli air force vet.

On the Golan:
No one has prepared me for the soft beauty of the Golan. In my brain I had conjured images of a demilitarized zone, barren, desecrated and godforsaken. Instead I see a landscape which speaks England. Neat fields, intensely green, pepper the landscape. Soft brown hills evoke the Scottish Highlands save the purple heather. This land was host to conflicts and wars, bunkers and bombs? Somehow, like the rest of Israel, the resilient land has recovered and not only repaired, but blossomed, responding to destruction with incredible vitality and bold beauty. What spirit, this land!
On the greening of the desert:

After fifteen years of traveling to the Arab Gulf, I find it impossible to believe desert was once here.
Irrigated green strips interrupt freshly tilled soil eager for crops. On the Jordanian side I see more nascent cultivation, but greenery nonetheless. “It was part of the peace agreement” Uri tells me “Israel had to share its irrigation and agricultural technology with Jordanians as part of the deal. Israel even had to share its water.”

On the border fence:

After two weeks of being in Israel, I now accept there are many things here I will not understand, including how Israelis can move towards not only tolerance in peace, but nurturing partnerships with those once their mortal enemies.
We pass an innocuous fence. I can hardly see it. Uri becomes even more animated. “Can you see it? Can you see it? THAT’S the border!” At first, I see nothing. Straining, I finally spy the slender wire fence which separates Israel from Jordan. This, a border? Couldn’t possibly be. There is no separation. Compared to the borders of the United States or Pakistan or India or Afghanistan – all of which I have visited – this is incredibly intimate. But good fences, an abiding and treasured value of observant Jews (to define, separate, enshrine, and through this separation respect and honor) -make for good neighbors. Israel’s neighborliness is visible from the air.
On Israel in general.

This is the Land. This is what my American Jewish friends in New York City, surviving on the other side of The Holocaust, yearn for without words. This is the fabled place to which deeds from the 20th century are still treasured by Palestinian families long gone. This is the scene from where Islam’s Prophet began his night journey. This is what he must surely have seen as he charged ahead on Barak.
This is the Land. Ha’Aretz. And I learn, quite simply: like many, I had long loved her without knowing, and will love her wherever I go, whomever I become, whomsoever I worship. Wherever destiny may choose to pit me upon her unseen path, this will always be Israel.
She loves and appreciates Israel.

Along with photos, read about her trip here.

Video- Anti-Morsi/Anti-U.S. Protest In Egypt Led By Women

Some very angry Egyptians protesting against the man they voted into power. Looks like they are having buyers re-Morsi.  A group of women (and men), led by a veiled older lady in the town of Manufiyya, chanting for the "dog" to get out.

Note the anti-U.S. sentiment, though. Apparently they don't want our money, too bad that can't be arranged. But I can see why they might feel resentment towards the U.S. After all, the Obama administration has embraced the Muslim Brotherhood. And then we have the U.S. Ambassador to Egypt Anne Patterson criticizing their protests.

Circumcision Controls A Woman's Sexual Needs, Claims Egyptian Cleric al-Badri

Egyptian cleric Sheikh Yussef al-Badri, the same idiot who claims there is no such thing as marital rape in Islam, believes female genital mutilation (FGM) is a necessary procedure, and even though it has been illegal in Egypt since 2008, he wants the ban reversed.  In an interview with BBC reporter Aleem Maqbool he explains why, though I wouldn't recommend watching the video if you have high blood pressure.

He  doesn't seem to care that a 13 year-old girl just died after being butchered. Another 13-year-old, Nermine El-Haddad, lost her life in 2010 because her ignorant parents forced her to undergo the painful torture of FGM. And because they knew what they had done was illegal they buried the child so as not to get caught.

El-Haddad, from the village of Abu Nashaba in Menoufiya, was a pupil at Al-Khatatba preparatory school. She died after severe haemorrhaging following an operation at Menouf Public Hospital last week conducted by Dr Fatheya Mahmoud Eweida. Fearing legal action against them, her parents did not report the incident to the police. Eweida allowed the burial of El-Haddad without a death certificate or an official burial licence, and the incident only came to attention when one of Eweida's colleagues at the hospital phoned the ministry's child rescue hotline (16000).

In spite of the 2007 ban, which bans doctors from performing FGM in hospitals and a law enacted in 2008 (childhood law number 126) which makes it a crime, the practice continues, especially in the south of Egypt. Egypt is sponsoring programmes to help educate the people, but some traditions, tragically, die hard. In the meantime, young girls are being mutilated and in some cases dying because of ignorance, and misogynistic clerics like al-Badri who encourage the practice.

It is believed that 75% of Egyptian women, both Muslim and Christian, have been circumcised.

Al-Badri believes that female circumcision is ordered by Allah. It's a way to control a woman's need for a man. When the reporter asks him about a man's needs- al-Badri responds that those are controlled by marriage.  So a woman gets mutilated to control her needs, while a man gets to marry.

Fadel Shaker- Singer Turned Islamist Boasts About Killing Two Lebanese Soldiers

44-year-old Fadel Shaker used to be a famous Lebanese singer until the Syrian war turned him into a Salafist militant who believes music is haram (forbidden). Joining radical Sunni cleric Sheikh Ahmad al-Assir's terrorist ranks, he is now a fugitive, along with Assir (or Ahmed al-Asir, as he is sometimes called), after they killed 17 Lebanese army soldiers in Sidon.

In a video that has recently surfaced, Shaker proudly announces that he was responsible for killing two of those soldiers, and wounding four.

“We killed two of your carcasses [sic], you dogs, you pigs… two carcasses and four injured pigs [sic],” Shaker said.

Oddly enough, Assir opposes both the Bashar al-Assad regime and fellow Lebanese terrorists Hezbollah. I guess it's that whole Shia versus Sunni conflict.

Busted- Porn and Nerf Footballs Charged To IRS Expense Accounts

After all the controversy regarding targeting certain pro-Jewish and conservative groups, and wasting $50 million on conferences, the IRS has been busted, once again, for allegedly letting employees charge things like porn, stove top hats, Nerf footballs, and popcorn machines to their official IRS distributed credit cards. Which means, we paid for all of that.

A new report by the Treasury's inspector general for tax administration looking at spending over two financial years says that although "the majority of IRS cardholders appear to use their purchase cards properly," a small number of employees made "inappropriate" charges. "Inappropriate" as in the cards of two employees—one who is still with the IRS—were used to pay for online porn, reports NBC News. (In fairness, both employees reported their cards missing or compromised, though one reported five cards as lost.)
One woman racked up $2,655 on things like diet pills, romance novels, steaks, and a smartphone, which were then filed as "reference books and office supplies." Other questionable spending identified in the report: a government luncheon where 41 guests drank 28 bottles of wine; and $4,000 in items intended for team-building and morale, such as Thomas the Tank Engine wristbands, kazoos, and the "world’s largest crossword puzzle." The inspector general has made 11 recommendations to increase oversight of the program.
Okay, so it's only two, and their cards might have been compromised, I know several of my credit cards have been, but five lost cards?  Come on.

Egyptian Salafist Mob Kills 4 Shia Muslims

A mob of Egyptian Salafists stormed a home full of Shia Muslim worshippers in Abu Mussalam, Egypt (near Cairo) brutally killing four of them. According to citizen journalist Hazem Barakat, women were inciting the violence, and no-one including police did anything about it. Barakat tried to get the Central Security Forces to intervene, to no avail. He has it all on tape.

They just can't get along.

Ahmadinejad Will Return With The 12th Imam Claims Iranian Spokesperson

Gholam Hossein Elham, Iranian spokesman (for what I'm not sure), has said that soon-to-be ex-President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will return with the Hidden Imam, whenever that might be.  Also known as the 12th Imam and Imam Mahdi, the Shia Muslims have been breathlessly waiting for his return to save the day since the 10th century. But Ahmadinejad predicted that the dead-resurrected Hugo Chavez would return with the Mahdi hand in hand with Jesus Christ, so I'm not quite sure how Mahmoud will return if he's not dead. But Elham is hoping he will.

"God willing, with the manifestation of Imam Mehdi, Ahmadinejad will also return and work for the establishment of pure Islam."
You might remember that Hugo, when he was still alive, was a firm believer in the return of the Mahdi and Jesus, at least according to this chat

So, I guess, dead or alive Mahmoud will join Chavez, the Mahdi and Jesus when they return.

No Radicals Or Polygamists Allowed In The First Ever Matchmaking Agency In Tajikistan

No E-Harmony or Match.com for the Tajiki people.  However, there's a new matchmaking agency in the northern city of  Khujand, actually the first ever in Tajikistan, but no radicals or polygamists need apply.  It's targeted towards middle-class, divorced and widowed men and women in their 30s and 40s.

Arranged marriages for young ones are commonplace in the secular, predominately Islamic country, but no-one wants to arrange marriages for the divorced, so Shuhrat Ayomov stepped in to take care of that demographic. He took over a failed, bankrupt matchmaking company, and turned it around.  Yusuf and Zulaikha is doing gangbusters business arranging love matches for a mere $4.00 a pop, plus commission if the match turns into a marriage.

"We have received more than 200 applications from men and women looking for a potential spouse, and the number is growing as more people are hearing about our service," Ayomov says. "So far, eight people we introduced to each other have gotten married."
An electrical technician and nursery-school teacher, both divorced, were the first to get hitched a few weeks after their first date. Firdavs and the unveiled Nigora both have a child from their previous marriages.

"In our traditional society you don't go out and socialize with the opposite sex when you're a divorced man in your mid-30s," Firdavs says.
It was Firdavs's grandmother who "heard some gossip about a matchmaking agency in the neighborhood" and encouraged him to check it out. "I didn't know what to expect and it didn't seem like a good idea at first," says Firdavs, speaking outside the electronics repair shop where he works in downtown Khujand.
As for the requirements for those looking for permanent love:

"We have three major requirements," Ayomov says. "An applicant has to be physically and mentally healthy. If they have some kind of disease, we tell them to get medical treatment first. We don't accept people affiliated with illegal extremist groups. And we don't accept applications from married men looking for a second wife, because polygamy is illegal."

But that's not the only requirement.

Clients are required to attend workshops on how to manage a household budget and how to deal with in-laws, and female applicants are offered cooking and sewing classes. "Most of our male clients are looking for a fairly good-looking, intelligent woman who is a good homemaker and has strong moral values," Ayomov says. "Female customers as a rule want a good husband who is financially capable of looking after his family."
Ayomov has four employees.  He predicts matchmaking will become the norm throughout Tajikistan, but no mention of taking it to the Internet.

Macedonian Ad To "Reintroduce Religious Tolerance" Wins Cannes Lions Award

Ten Meters Apart, a Macedonian ad encouraging inter-faith tolerance, has just won the Titanium Lion at the 2013 Cannes Lions- the Academy Awards of the advertising industry- and the first time a commercial from the Balkans has won the title.

In response to the Macedonian government's call "to try and reintroduce religious tolerance," and coexistence, the ad campaign was inspired by a small village in the middle of nowhere, where Muslims and Christians use the same temple to worship.

The ad (click here) shot on 10/18/2012 features Muslims and Christians praying together, the first time ever. People now want to make it an annual event: National Prayer Day
The joint prayer is led by Miftar Islami, an official representative of Macedonia's Islamic community, and Father Mihail, an official representative of the Macedonian Orthodox Church.
It highlights efforts by the Christian and Muslim communities in the war-torn region to come closer together.
Lovely idea, but I didn't see any women in the ad. I guess they don't see inclusiveness of all religions and genders as an integral part of tolerance.

There are still lingering problems in Macedonia after the short, albeit bloody and violent conflict in 2001 between ethnic (Muslim) Albanians and Macedonian forces. Apparently, the country has seen a rise in ethnic and religiously motivated hate crimes.

I suppose you have to start somewhere, and as it states at the end of the commercial:

Peace is a never ending process.

Irony Alert- Anti-Zionist Neturei Karta Rabbi Attacked By Muslim In Amsterdam

How ironic. A 50-year-old Neturei Karta rabbi, Yosef Antebi, was the victim of a hate crime in Amsterdam. Apparently, a man who appeared to be Muslim stopped his car while Antebi was walking down the street, and proceeded to insult and then attack him.

According to a friend of the rabbi:

“As he was walking down the street, a car stopped next to him, and a man who appeared to be a Muslim immigrant came out. The immigrant started shouting anti-Jewish slurs at the rabbi. Rabbi Antebi is anti-Zionist, he does not advocate for war in the Middle East but he was identified as a Zionist. The Muslim started yelling at him and threatening him, and the rabbi noticed that the immigrant was going to attack him.”

“He tried to escape, and the Muslim [man] began to run after him, caught him and started kicking him in the stomach and lungs. “He felt that he could not breathe, collapsed, began to vomit blood, while the immigrant spat on him. After the attacker fled the scene, Rabbi Antebi recovered a bit and managed to photograph him.”
[With his cellphone]
Antebi was hospitalized with internal bleeding and some broken ribs.

The irony, of course, is that Neturei Karta are anti-Zionists.  Some representatives even attended Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's Holocaust Deniers Tehran Conference in 2006. In fact, they are very similar to Muslims in the way they treat their women, and their desire for Israel to be wiped off the map. The head of the Neturei Karta, Rabbi Meir Hirsch, has said as much.

I doubt this will change Antebi's attitude towards Israel and his fellow Jews.

Ban On Abortions Is White Supremacy, Claims Professor Salamishah Tillet

Salamishah Tillet is an associate professor at the University of Pennsylvania. An educated woman, obviously. And yet, Salamishah seems to think that Republican opposition to late term abortions is simply a desire to foster white supremacy, because whites are running scared.  Yep. That's what she said on MSNBC's Melissa Harris-Perry show in response to the proposed ban on late-term abortions.

“I think that there’s a kind-of moral panic, a fear of the end of whiteness that we’ve been seeing for a long time, and Obama’s ascension as president symbolizes that to a certain degree."
“I think this is one response to that sense that there’s a decreasing white majority in the country, and that women’s bodies – and white women’s bodies in particular – are obviously a crucial way of reproducing whiteness: white supremacy, white privilege.”
Huh?

If that were the case, if racist whites truly wanted to level the playing field, would they not promote  abortion rather than ban it, considering blacks are more likely to get an abortion? According to the CDC, in 2009, for every 1,000 births white women had 138 abortions, compared to 501 for black women. That's why many think that abortion is a form of black genocide.  But the convicted abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell, who butchered the late term fetuses of patients who were primarily poor minorities and immigrants, was himself  African-American.

So which is it, Salamishah? Genocide or white supremacy?  It can't be both.

And these fools are teaching our kids.

Vietnam Targeting Bloggers And Government Critics

You don't hear much about Vietnam these days, but just like Islamic Republics and other Communist countries, there is little to no freedom, and zero tolerance for political dissent.

According to Human Rights Watch, there have been a spate of arrests and attacks on bloggers and  critics of the Vietnamese government. In a statement on its website, HRW is calling for their release.

Human Rights Watch called for the immediate and unconditional release of recently arrested bloggers Truong Duy Nhat and Pham Viet Dao, as well as internet activist Dinh Nhat Uy, and an investigation into allegations that police assaulted internet activists Nguyen Chi Duc, Nguyen Hoang Vi, and Pham Le Vuong Cac, whose security the authorities should protect.

“Vietnam’s strategy of repressing critics big and small will only lead the country deeper into crisis,” said Brad Adams, Asia director. “The latest arrests and assaults on bloggers show how afraid the government is of open discussion on democracy and human rights.”

Many of the arrests have come under Vietnam Penal Code article 258, one of several vague and elastic legal provisions routinely used to prosecute people for exercising their right to freedom of expression. Recent cases of arrest and assault include the following:

On May 26, 2013, Ministry of Public Security officers arrested blogger Truong Duy Nhat for “abusing democratic freedoms to infringe upon the interests of the State, the legitimate rights and interests of organizations and/or citizens,” according to the Vietnamese newspaper Thanh Nien. The arrest at his home in Da Nang of the 49-year-old followed his posting on his popular “A Different Perspective” blog of a call for the resignation of Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and ruling Communist Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, blaming them for leading Vietnam into worsening political and economic difficulties.
HRW is also asking "donors and trading partners" to

“..  stand with those in Vietnam struggling for their rights and make it clear that no one should be arrested or assaulted for their opinions."“They should insist that the only future for countries trying to develop and modernize is a free and open society in which the authorities accept that criticism is a normal part of the political process.”

Good luck with that!

Pakistani Actress Burned With Acid For Refusing Marriage Proposal

Acid attacks aren't just a popular Islamic form of revenge, after all, Bolshoi Ballet's head Sergei Filin has been left almost blind by an acid attack that jealous company member Pavel Dmitrichenko set in motion; but they are more prolific and commonplace in countries like Pakistan.

And the Bolshoi acid attack isn't the only acid attack on someone in the entertainment industry.

A popular  young Pashto actress of TV/Film and Stage was attacked with acid by a married producer, Shaukat Khan, after she turned down his marriage proposal.

According to Pervez Khan, the brother of the 18-year-old victim, Bushra,

“A man climbed the wall of our house in the early hours, threw acid on my sister and fled."
Bushra was burned over 33 percent of her face and shoulders.

Uzbekistan Bans Meaningless Songs That "Don't Praise The Motherland"

If you think our government has too much control over our lives, check this out:

In a statement on its website, Uzbekistan's Culture and Sports Ministry has announced a ban on "meaningless" songs that fail to "praise the motherland."

In a rather insensitively worded ruling, the music of pop groups Mango and Ummon and singers Dilfuza Rahimova, Otabek Mutalhojaev, and Dilshod Rakhmonov were condemned as being "meaningless from musical and lyrical standpoints." (Ouch!)

They were stripped of their performing licenses, which are issued by an agency within the ministry, Uzbeknavo, and which are needed in order to perform in public in Uzbekistan.

Says the ministry:

"Their songs do not conform to our nation’s cultural traditions, they contradict our moral heritage and mentality. We should not forget about our duty to praise our motherland, our people, and their happiness.”
Seven other performers were issued "harsh warnings" and given a deadline of July 1 to eliminate what the ministry euphemistically calls their "creative shortcomings."
Of course, the daughter of Uzbek President Islam Karimov- Gulnara Karimova (aka Googoosha)- is not subject to that ban.  Here's her latest music video- "How Dare", which definitely does not comply with the nation's cultural traditions, whatever those happen to be. Note that the clothing and jewelry are Gulnara's designs. The jack-of-all-trades also happens to be an economist and diplomat.

Dem Congressman Wants Racist Most Wanted Terrorist Bus Ads Removed

Washington state Democratic Rep Jim McDermott wants the FBI to reconsider plastering on Seattle buses a Joint Terrorism banner ad titled 'Faces of Global Terrorism'  featuring mug shots of international terrorists because he thinks it's racist and offensive to Muslims.

According to McDermott, the “ad featuring sixteen photos of wanted terrorists is not only offensive to Muslims and ethnic minorities, but it encourages racial and religious profiling.”
McDermott continued, “Representing terrorists, however, from only one ethnic or religious group, promotes stereotypes and ignores other forms of extremism. The FBI’s ‘Most Wanted Terrorists List‘ includes individuals of other races and associated with other religions and causes, but their faces are missing from this campaign.”
Someone needs to inform the congressman that Islam is not a race.

Apparently, he took offense because the FBI left off a couple of terrorists who don't happen to be Muslim, and chose to publicize only the Muslims. Of course, the bulk of the 32 most wanted terrorists happen to be Muslim. The two non-Muslims are Joanne Deborah Chesimard, who was part of the Black Liberation Army and serving a life-sentence for murdering a police officer before she escaped, and Daniel Andreas San Diego, involved with animal rights extremist groups and wanted for several bombings.

I suppose next we'll have others demanding the FBI remove 'most wanted' mug shots because they offend the families of the criminals, or offend other ethnic or religious groups.

Ireland Pimped Out Like Prostitutes For Obamas, Rages Irish TD Clare Daly

Irish Lefty TD Clare Daly blasted her fellow politicians (and the media) for the "almost unprecedented slobbering" over the Barack Obama family visit to Ireland:

“It’s really hard to know which is worst, whether it’s the outpourings of the Obamas themselves or the sycophantic falling over them by sections of the media and the political establishment."

She also accused Taoiseach (Prime Minister) Enda Kenny of showcasing Ireland "as a nation of pimps, prostituting ourselves in return for a pat on the head”.

She rips Obama a new one, calling him, among other things, a "war criminal" for deciding to arm the "Syrian opposition, including the jihadists, fuelling the destabilization of that region, continuing to undermine secularism and knock back conditions for women."

Wow. Don't think she likes the Obamas too much.

More Christians Sentenced To Jail Time In Iran

More Christians have been sentenced to jail time in Iran.

The Revolutionary Court in Shiraz, 571 miles (920 kilometers) south of Tehran, issued prison sentences of 44 months to Mojtaba Seyyed-Alaedin Hossein, Mohammad-Reza Partoei, Vahid Hakkani, and Homayoun Shokouhi for “attending a house church, spreading Christianity, having contact with foreign ministries, propaganda against the regime, and disrupting national security,” according the Mohabat News Agency. They were tried in absentia.

They had been arrested in February 2012, when police raided their house-church meeting. Officials rejected their appeal for release on bail. Hossein and Shokouhi, previously arrested in 2008 on similar accusations and handed five-year suspended sentences, received an additional eight months of imprisonment above last week’s sentence of 44 months. Additionally, Shokouhi’s wife, Fariba Nazemina, and their son, Nima Shokouhi, each received two-year suspended prison sentences.

The four men are being held in Adel Abad Prison in Shiraz, which houses hardened criminals and often lacks heating or health facilities. Officials also routinely deny medical treatment to prisoners, and as a result, Hakkani is in critical condition due to internal bleeding, according to Mohabat. Prison doctors say he is in urgent need of surgery but has little chance of receiving treatment.

Will moderate Hassan Rohani make any changes when he takes over from Mahmoud Ahmadinejad? I sincerely doubt it, but I hope I'm wrong.

Iran's President-Elect Tied To 1994 Argentinian Jewish Center Bombing?

While some consider Iran's President-elect Hassan Rohani a moderate, others don't.  He certainly wasn't some 20 years ago when his son committed suicide over his dad's extremism. And now there are allegations that he probably knew about and was part of the planning of the bombing of a Jewish community center in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1994.
Iranian President-elect Hassan Rowhani was on the special Iranian government committee that plotted the 1994 bombing of a Jewish community center in Buenos Aires, according to an indictment by the Argentine government prosecutor investigating the case.

The AMIA bombing is considered the deadliest terrorist attack in Argentina’s history, killing 85 and wounding hundreds more. The Argentine government had accused the Iranian government of planning the attack and Iran’s terrorist proxy Hezbollah of carrying it out. Numerous former and current Iranian officials are wanted by Interpol in connection with the bombing.

Former Iranian intelligence official Abolghasem Mesbahi, who defected from Iran in the late 1990s, testified that the decision to launch the attack was made within a special operations committee connected to the powerful Supreme National Security Council in August 1993.

According to the 2006 indictment, Mesbahi testified that Rowhani, who was then serving as secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, was also a member of the special committee when it approved the AMIA bombing.

CAIR Files Complaint Against Florida Professor, Wants Him Fired Or Muzzled

A Belgian professor at the University of Central Florida (UCF) is in the crosshairs of Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). Jonathan Matusitz teaches a class on Terrorism and Communication which, obviously, includes Islam. Considering that the bulk of terrorist activity in this day and age, all over the world, is rooted in that religion, he's going to focus on that more than other terrorist activity.  Not that Islam is the only focus. In this video, Fifteen Reasons Why Terrorism Exists, he discusses the various reasons for terrorism, including religion, oppression, publicity, he even includes the Basque ETA terrorist organization, and white supremacist groups who target blacks and Jews. But CAIR filed a complaint against Matusitz  because they claim he supports Brigitte Gabriel's Actor for America (ACT), which it believes is an anti-Muslim hate group.

According to Matusitz, he just spoke with ACT.

CAIR posted this video of Matusitz  "spewing anti-Islam hate" in class.

"So why? Why do so many Muslims relative to other religions want to kill us? The answer is easy. Very easy. It's seven letters: culture."
"Imagine that symbolic interaction that from the cradle until you're an adult teaches you to hate."
CAIR says his classes are full of inaccuracies, bigotry and hostility, and accuses him of hate speech. But he speaks the truth, so how is that hate speech? Palestinians do teach their children to hate from the cradle,  and in most cases it lasts until the grave, which if they're martyrs isn't too long after they're born. Every day we read about multiple, horrific acts of violence, and often Muslim versus Muslim. He's not making anything up, and trying to muzzle people who do talk about it isn't going to make the problem go away. That is up to the Muslim world.

Matusitz said of the complaint:

"They've never been in my classes. They don't know the context of my classes."
"I think they're wrong. I think they're afraid of truth-tellers and they want to stifle free speech."
UCF's response:

"Dr. Matusitz expressed his opinion, which is his right. He was not speaking on behalf of the university and we do not endorse his views."

CAIR's YouTube video has disabled comments.

More on the issue.

Video- Famous Egyptian Belly Dancer Pokes Fun Of Hijabis- I think

I found this video on Facebook, and since it's an Arabic site I have no clue who they are and what they stand for.

I think this is the famous Egyptian belly dancer/actress Sama al-Masri (or el-Masry) who performed a satirical anti-Morsi constitution belly dance protest last year, but I could be wrong. They have the same style.

I have no clue what she's saying, or what she's lampooning, but she's amusing as ever. Looks like she might be poking fun at hijabis, but who knows.

Most of the people commenting on the video were not very complimentary, as far as I could glean from the Bing translation.

FSA General Wants Shariah For Syria, Demands West Supply Arms

Interviewed on Al-Jazeera, General Abdel Baset Tawileh, the Free Syrian Army (FSA) Northern Front commander, was asked what "form of state" did he support. His answer:

"I would like to see a civilized state, with Islamic law."
Civilized and Islamic law in the same sentence is a joke, but he goes on to say that he also wants the army to have a "clear Islamic nature."

He also demands that the international community supply the FSA and rebels (the jihadist, Islamist militants who behead and eat people's internal organs) with arms and ammunition. He gives the world 1 month  to supply the weapons or the FSA will "reveal all the evidence we have (about use of chemical weapons)."  Not sure when the interview took place, since the alleged evidence has already been provided.

Of course, no mention of the fact that the rebel opposition have been caught with their own chemical weapons.

His interview here.

However, Bashar al-Assad is totally to blame for what is going on in that country. He's a nasty dictator. Had he made some changes when the people first started protesting, it would never have escalated to a civil war, and opened the door for the Islamists to take over.

US Ambassador To Egypt Pisses Off Opposition Groups By Criticizing Their Protests

The U.S. has had a history of backing the wrong people in foreign lands, and Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood is no exception. Sure, the Egyptian people voted overwhelmingly for the Islamists, but that doesn't mean we need to get cozy with them, or meddle in their affairs. Egyptian opposition  groups are holding President Mohammed Morsi's hand to the fire by continuing to protest, and we have no right to tell them they can't. But that's what we've apparently done, courtesy of Anne Patterson, U.S. ambassador to Egypt, who pissed off a lot of people when she criticized plans for demonstrations aimed at forcing Morsi to step down.

Anne Patterson responded to widespread talk among Egyptian liberals that Washington had thrown its weight behind Islamist President Mohamed Mursi by saying in a speech on Tuesday that the United States was working closely with the elected government and also listening to all Egypt’s political groups.

But by Thursday, after extensive local media coverage of her remarks and condemnation by opposition leaders of “interference” in Egypt’s internal affairs, social media was dominated by angry and hostile comments directed toward Patterson and her embassy.

Among the more polite, tycoon Naguib Sawiris tweeted: “Madam Ambassador, ... Please bless us with your silence.”
The Egyptians foolishly voted the Muslim Brotherhood in, and now they want Morsi out, but Patterson feels the protests are only risking more violence and that they should just deal with who they have in power.

“This is the government that you and your fellow citizens elected,” she said. “Even if you voted for others, I don’t think the elected nature of this government is seriously in doubt.
“The United States took the position that we would work with whoever won elections that met international standards.”
“Egypt needs stability to get its economic house in order, and more violence on the streets will do little more than add new names to the lists of martyrs. Instead, I recommend Egyptians get organized.
“Join or start a political party that reflects your values and aspirations. Egyptians need to know a better path forward. This will take time. You will have to roll up your sleeves and work hard.”
She doesn't realize that Egypt is not the U.S.,  and if Islamism is allowed to take root in that country it will be very difficult to return to secularism and democracy.  We need to let the people of Egypt do what they have to do to create a democratic, secular state. We need to stay out of it.

Christian Women Beaten and Paraded Naked In Pakistan

According to the Asian Human Rights Commission (AHRC), as an act of revenge, Muslim thugs in Pakistan beat up and then proceeded to rip the clothes off of three Christian women. The women were then paraded around in public as a show of power.

Three Christian women – Arshad Bibi, Sajida Bibi and Sauriya Bibi – the daughter-in-laws of Sadiq Masih, a resident of Sereser Chak No 21, Kasur, were brutally beaten and then paraded naked by armed men employed by Muhammad Munir, the son of Abdul Rasheed, a landlord who has the support of the ruling party, the PML-N. The incident occurred on the night of June 3 when the male members of the family were attending to their jobs. The attackers, armed with weapons and batons, were able to enter the house by scaling the boundary wall and unlocking the gate from the inside. At that time, the women were sleeping in the house along with their father-in-law Sadiq Masih, 73, and mother-in-law Rani Bibi, 70.
The mob, lead by Muhammad Munir, Abrahim, Muhammad Rafique and their sons Ahmed, Asif, Abid, Wassem, Waqas and Shabir and three unidentified persons, entered the house. When the attackers invaded the house, they started looking for the sons of Sadiq Masih, checking all the rooms and throwing their belongings about. When they could not find his sons, they started beating the three women.
The reason for the attack:  Sadiq's goats wandered onto the landlord Munir's fields, several times, so he confiscated them. When one of Sadiq's sons, Shaukat,  accompanied by the sister-in-laws, asked for his goats back, Munir beat him up. Shaukat slapped him back, and the rest is history.

Since the landlord is a supporter of the ruling party (PML-N) nothing will happen to the attackers. The family filed a complaint, but the police filed a counter complaint on behalf of the landlord. End of story.

"Jihad" Spray Painted On Sound Barrier Off I-95 In Florida

Someone spray painted "jihad" in huge letters across one of the sound barriers off of I-95 in Delray Beach, Florida, and a fight ensues between two men: one who is offended, the other who claims there are no terrorists and that it's just a word.

They still have no clue who the culprits are.

Syrian Jihadist Opposition Execute 3 Civilians Near Allepo

More Syrian jihadist savagery. Yes, Assad's fighters are no angels, they have killed many innocent people, but what some of the opposition militants have done is even more heinous. They are the ones who will behead and cannibalize their victims.

In this video, shot somewhere near Aleppo, one man was beheaded and two women were shot dead and the three were dumped in shallow graves. It is thought that they were killed because they refused to take part in jihadist temporary marriages.

Take note of the foreign fighters, the red heads, who are probably Chechens.

Afghan Women Lose Political Power and Talks With Taliban Spells Trouble

Talks with the Taliban, and the surreptitious removal of the law requiring at least a quarter of the seats in the provincial councils be held by women, does not bode well for the female segment of the Afghan population.

A legal requirement that women make up at least a quarter of all provincial elected officials was quietly removed by conservative male parliamentarians, officials said, the latest in a series of decisions undermining advances in women's rights in Afghanistan.

The change, engineered in mid-May, was only discovered by women members of parliament a few days ago.

The action has sparked fears among women's rights activists that President Hamid Karzai's government is increasingly willing to trade away their hard fought gains to placate the Taliban as part of attempts to coax them to the peace table.

Activists said it could also reduce the number of women serving in parliament's upper house, as most women are elected there via their role as elected provincial officials.
According to Farkhunda  Naderi, a rights activist who also happens to be one of the few MPs in the current Afghan government, believes:

"This is a political strategy: to please (the Taliban) in peace talks they're willing to give up women's rights."

I hate to think we wasted so many years and so many lives for nothing, but once we are gone, I have no doubts that the Taliban will work there way back into power.

Such a shame.

Iran's President-Elect Rohani's Son Killed Himself Over Dad's Extremism

The eldest son of Iran's so-called "moderate" president-elect Hassan Rohani committed suicide in 1992. The reason?  According to his suicide note: his dad's affiliation with Iran's head honcho, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

"I hate your government, your lies, your corruption, your religion, your double acts and your hypocrisy," wrote the future president's son in his suicide note, published in London by exiled Iranian political commentator Ali Reza Nouri.
"I am ashamed to live in such environment where I'm forced to lie to my friends each day, telling them that my father isn't part of all of this. Telling them my father loves this nation, whereas I believe this to be not true. It makes me sick seeing you, my father, kiss the hand of Khamenei," read the letter published in the London-based al-Sharq al-Awsat

Naturally, the Iranian press denied it had anything to do with politics and blamed it on troubles in love, but we all know which is more likely the truth.

People can and do change, but has Rohani truly changed?  We shall see.

Terrorist Summer Camp For Kiddies In Gaza

As Americans ship off their children to summer camp where Joey and Sally might learn some cool things in arts and crafts, swim, hike, enjoy some campfire sing-alongs along with roasted marshmallows, Gazan parents are shipping off Ahmed and Mustafa to terrorist-run summer camps. Those lucky kiddies will get to play with live ammunition and simulate kidnapping IDF soldiers, nothing new, apparently, since they get that in school. Hamas officials expect 100,000 or so young-uns to attend.

Hamas, the Islamic Jihad and the Popular Resistance Committees are all holding their own summer camp.

The Islamic group's leader in Gaza Ismail Haniyeh said the goal of the summertime activities is to instill children with values, strengthen their moral core and spread the spirit of Jihad.
Parents do have other choices.

UNHCR, UN's refugee agency, offers a summer camp centered on sports.
The agency said it expects some 150,000 children to attend its camps spread all along the coastal enclave. In previous years UNRWA's camp facilities were vandalized in protest for their instilling values incompatible with those of terror groups.

Saudi Women Jailed For Helping Canadian Woman and Her Kids Leave Husband

No good deed goes unpunished in Saudi Arabia, especially if you're a woman. That's because women are nothing more than the property of their husbands and male family members.

A Saudi court handed two Saudi women 10-month jail sentences on Saturday for seeking to help a Canadian woman who wanted to leave her Saudi husband with their children, human rights activists said.

The court also banned Fawzia al-Ayuni and Wajiha al-Huaider from leaving the kingdom for two years, rights activist Aql al-Bahli said.

They have a month to appeal against the judgment.

The two women were convicted of the Islamic sharia law offence of takhbib, or incitement of a wife to defy the authority of her husband, Bahli said.

They had been briefly detained by police a year and a half ago in the company of the Canadian woman who at the time wanted to flee the kingdom with her children after a row with her husband, he added.

I'm sure it was probably more than just a row.

When will women finally learn that marrying a religious Muslim man and moving to a country that practices Shariah law is not going to be all fun and romance. Who hasn't heard of "Not Without My Daughter", the gripping true-life story about American Betty Mahmoody's attempts to escape from her husband and life in Iran with her child.

Gazan Woman, 21, Has 11 Kids

A 21-year-old Gazan woman and her 25-year-old government worker husband (whose monthly salary is less than $500) just had quintuplets. Yay. Problem is, they already had sextuplets so now they have a grand total of 11 kids.

“I really don’t want to keep on giving birth, but this is what happened to me,” Naima al-Batash told Al Arabiya.
“After one course of breastfeeding and bottle-feeding, I put one child to sleep, but then the second child will wake up, so I start breastfeeding, and the same thing happens again… My head is spinning,” she said.
“Crying won’t help. If God gave me these children, he’ll help me raise them,” Batash added. Naima’s husband Raad is feeling the financial strain, as the salary from his government job is less than $500 a month, and half of it goes to paying debt.
“I feel what’s demanded from me is more than I can give as a 25-year-old, a lot of money every day to buy milk and pampers,” he said.

Have they never heard of birth control?  Depending on the source, Islam does approve of birth control under certain circumstances, including having a woman's tubes tied (as long as it's reversible), which is what they should have done after giving birth to sextuplets.

Naima got married when she was 14, and wants more government help, which probably comes from US aid to Palestine.

I suppose eventually they'll be old enough to become martyrs.

See the parents and their brood in a video on Al Arabiya.

Pet Shop Boys Won't Cave To Boycott Israel Lobby- Israel Not Apartheid State

The Boycott Israel tools are at it again, this time targeting the upcoming concert of mega successful British electronic pop duo Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe of The Pet Shop Boys- who are no longer boys but rather middle-aged men. Perhaps that's why they're refusing to cave- they're old enough to know better, not that there aren't old fools who have embraced the boycott mentality. Take writer Alice Walker who recently told Alicia Keys (who also refused to be intimidated into canceling her concert) that she would lose her soul if she performed in Tel Aviv.

It's the same old story- Israel is an apartheid state, which it clearly is not. A poster featuring the singers wearing glasses with "1 child killed every three days" and "2 kids caged every day" plastered on the lenses, has been produced by a pro-Palestinian group in the U.K. called Innovative Minds appealing to the duo to:

"Open your eyes to the ugly reality of apartheid Israel. Cancel your Tel Aviv concert. Stand with the oppressed."

But The Pet Shop Boys aren't buying it. Their response to the demands:

'Israel has universal suffrage and equality of rights for all its citizens, both Jewish and Arab'
Neil Tennant said of the criticism:

"I don't agree with this comparison of Israel to apartheid-era South Africa," Tennant wrote on the group's official website. "It's a caricature. Israel has (in my opinion) some crude and cruel policies based on defense; it also has universal suffrage and equality of rights for all its citizens, both Jewish and Arab.
"In apartheid-era South Africa, artists could only play to segregated audiences; in Israel anyone who buys a ticket can attend a concert."
Of course, there will be the pro-Pali demonstrations, including a protest in front of the British Film Institute. The lads will be attending a screening of the Sergei M. Eisenstein classic 1925 silent pic "Battleship Potemkin" which features a brand new soundtrack composed by them.

Good on them!

Quotes From Iran's New "Moderate" President Hassan Rohani

No more Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to make fun of, but I'm happy that the Iranians have someone who is relatively moderate (emphasis on relatively) taking the reigns.  They just might have a chance to join the rest of the world, though only time will tell; after all, Hassan Rohani (aka Rowhani and Rouhani) is a cleric, and was part of the Islamic Revolution that turned the country into an Islamic state.

So who is this man, who handily won the election? RFE/RL  put together a list of recent quotes from interviews, his website and the presidential debates that provides a little insight into the president-elect of Iran:

"Using the Internet, I must say, is one of my hobbies regardless of whether I need it."

"Regarding reading, I must say I prefer reading academic papers rather than a novel. I prefer historical movies, but in general I like movies and I spend part of my free time watching films."

"Eight years of isolation is enough."

"All the people in our country, no matter which ethnicity or tribe they're from, should feel they're the citizens of one country and enjoy equal rights."

"We need moderation and rationality; we have to move away from extremism. Likewise regarding the issue of foreign policy -- we need to preserve the interests and national security of the country and we have to create the conditions for the necessary opportunities in the political, economic, cultural, and other spheres for our people."

"If we want to compete with countries like Turkey, Malaysia, and South Korea, we need to create a real revolution in our economy."

"There are a number of media in our country, but there is no variety. The press should work within the framework and shouldn't play with people's reputations."

"Our revolution was a revolution of light and morality, but today, where is morality in our society?"

"We have to give people a free hand; we shouldn't intervene so much in people's private lives and culture."

"In a government of 'Hope and Prudence,' men and women, boys and girls will feel free."

And from Al Arabiya, a list of other quotes on various subjects while campaigning:

Women
“Discrimination against women will not be tolerated.”

Nuclear issue

“We will stand firm to get our nuclear rights recognised as we do for sanctions to be lifted. We need nuclear energy for the nation’s progress and my government will ensure this right is recognized at the lowest cost.”

Iran-U.S. relations

“The U.S. is a world reality which no one can ignore. It is a superpower and the world’s first economy, military and scientific power.”

“We will first convert existing hostile relations to a one-on-one relationship but with tensions, and in the second phase we will gradually decrease tensions. It is then that one can think of other phases in relations.”

The economy

“I have come forward to save Iran’s economy and forge a constructive interaction with the world through a government of wisdom and hope.”

“This administration (of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad) made fun of sanctions, deriding them as scrap paper, while we could have avoided them or to some extent reduced them.”

Unemployment

“There are 3.5 million people unemployed in Iran, of whom 867,000 are university graduates. We have to concentrate on national production and technology development. We will invest in small businesses that do not require much capital.”

Political affiliation

“Personally, I believe that the majority of the people seek moderation and rationality. In all of my political career I have had very good relations with the moderates of both political factions, reformists and conservatives. I believe the majority of our society is comprised of moderates.”

He sounds promising, and perhaps anyone would be better than Ahmadinejad, but some people just aren't buying it. Joel C. Rosenberg, author of "The Last Jihad" and "The Twelfth Imam", is one of those, and he explains why.

Jew Bashing Video- People from left to right, Christian to Muslim

Wow. In this video, they're not talking "we're anti-Zionist, anti-Israel but we love the Jews" b.s., these people interviewed are flat-out anti-Semites. Jews are responsible for everything- bad, that is- according to these people. And it's coming from all sides: neo-Nazis, left-wingers,Muslims and Christians. One Missouri white supremacist, Alex Linder, wants them exterminated.

You'll see all sorts of people you might recognize, including African-American writer Alice Walker, Nation of Islam's Louis Farrakhan, Lauren Booth (Tony Blair's sister-in-law), Brother Nathanael (fka Milton Kapner, a Jew-turned-Christian anti-Semite).

As Alan Dershowitz, Harvard University says at the end: imagine if they talked this way about blacks, gays or Muslims.

Unbelievable.

Muslim Girl: You Owe Your Husband Sex Since He Cooks, Cleans and Provides For You

Here's a good laugh.  A breathtakingly stupid American hijabi, who claims she's a feminist, talks about gender equality in Islam, and extols the virtues of being a Muslim female.

According to Miss Thang, Islam has given the most rights to women. Women in the West have had to fight for their rights, but Muslim women already had it. They have always had the right to vote, so she claims. Per Islam, they have been given the right to be spoiled by their husbands. They don't have to work, although they can if they want to, and the husband has to provide everything: food, clothing, a house. Hubby also has to cook, clean and work for his wife, because Prophet Mohammad did that for all his wives and she provides some passages to back that up.

In return, the woman has to do one thing: sleep with her man. Whenever he wants. After all, she says, a man is doing everything for his wife, cleaning, cooking, providing for her, giving her "whatever the hell she wants", the least she can do is give him that. Give him what he wants, even if you have to literally be "laying down like a dead star fish."

One interesting tidbit of knowledge she shares.  A father goes straight to heaven if he has two or more daughters who are very good Muslimahs. I wonder if that's part of the rationale for honor killing daughters who stray from the path.

Afghan Doctor Stoned For Treating Female Patient Without Chaperone

Someone snitched on an Afghan doctor who was treating a female patient, and soon the angry mobs appeared. Although the police attempted to escort the two out, the doctor was pushed off the second-floor balcony of his office, and was subsequently stoned.

A mob attacked an Afghan medical doctor and his female patient, stoning the doctor after the two were discovered in his private examining room without a chaperon, Afghan officials said on Thursday.

There were conflicting accounts that the doctor had been killed or that he had been severely injured and sent out of Afghanistan for treatment. The woman was initially feared missing, but was later reported to be at a women’s shelter, according to an official there.

The attack took place in Sar-i-Pul, a government-held town in the northern province of the same name, on Tuesday, but news was slow to leak out and officials initially denied that anyone had been hurt.

The provincial police chief, Abdul Raouf Taj, said that local villagers and shopkeepers stormed the private clinic when they heard that the doctor, Ajmeer Hashimi, was treating a patient, a midwife named Mahboba, alone in his examining room.
The doctor and midwife both worked at the same hospital.

As is often the case, it will take a while to find out the details, if we are ever privy to them.

Israel Building 1,140 Houses In West Bank For Palestinians

While the mainstream Western media is blasting Israel for expanding West Bank settlements, no-one is mentioning anything about the fact that 1,140 of those homes are destined for Palestinians near Jericho.

The Civil Administration of Judea and Samaria has deposited a plan for a large project of 1,140 Palestinian homes on Israeli state land in Area C of the West Bank near the city of Jericho.

The project, on 1,800 dunams of land, would provide a legal housing solution for Palestinians in that area living in illegal homes and unauthorized villages that are not properly connected to utilities, according to the civil administration.

Pat Condell 6/13- Singling Out A Billion Muslims

Pat Condell's latest here.

First time I have ever encountered a YouTube warning while clicking onto one of his videos. Not sure, however, that you will get the same notice, since I have linked from here.

No Mosques Monitored, Everyone Else, Yes

The whole NSA phone surveillance scandal has pretty much split the nation, even down party lines.  On the one hand, we have those who believe that monitoring is a necessary evil, a means to protect our country from terrorists and a repeat of 9/11, and that if you have nothing to hide then what's the big deal. On the other hand, we have those who believe that it's a huge "Big Brother" infringement upon our privacy. Regardless of where you stand on the issue, I think we can all agree that if nothing else we should be monitoring mosques, considering the bulk of terrorist activity in the 21st century is Islamic-based. But apparently mosques were not being monitored. That's right, the FBI were not allowed anywhere near mosques, unless it was approved.

According to Investor's Business Daily:

Since October 2011, mosques have been off-limits to FBI agents. No more surveillance or undercover string operations without high-level approval from a special oversight body at the Justice Department dubbed the Sensitive Operations Review Committee.

Who makes up this body, and how do they decide requests? Nobody knows; the names of the chairman, members and staff are kept secret.

We do know the panel was set up under pressure from Islamist groups who complained about FBI stings at mosques. Just months before the panel's formation, the Council on American-Islamic Relations teamed up with the ACLU to sue the FBI for allegedly violating the civil rights of Muslims in Los Angeles by hiring an undercover agent to infiltrate and monitor mosques there.

Before mosques were excluded from the otherwise wide domestic spy net the administration has cast, the FBI launched dozens of successful sting operations against homegrown jihadists — inside mosques — and disrupted dozens of plots against the homeland.
If this is true, it's outrageous.  Then again, airport security will pat down an old-lady in a wheelchair, rather than singling out those who would be more likely to harm us.

One has to wonder had the FBI been monitoring mosques could the Boston Marathon bombings been prevented?

The FBI never canvassed Boston mosques until four days after the April 15 attacks, and it did not check out the radical Boston mosque where the Muslim bombers worshipped.

The bureau didn't even contact mosque leaders for help in identifying their images after those images were captured on closed-circuit TV cameras and cellphones.

One of the Muslim bombers made extremist outbursts during worship, yet because the mosque wasn't monitored, red flags didn't go off inside the FBI about his increasing radicalization before the attacks.
This is particularly disturbing in light of recent independent surveys of American mosques, which reveal some 80% of them preach violent jihad or distribute violent literature to worshippers.

If you're going to monitor everyone, then don't exclude a segment of the U.S. population that has spawned radicals from its midst.

Tajik Imam's Home Sex Tapes Cause Outrage

I always thought Muslim women were allowed to remove their head scarves in the privacy of their homes, but apparently the wife of a Tajik imam was wearing her green hijab when her hubby took pictures with his cell phone of the two of them having sex.  No-one quite knows how those three videos wound up on YouTube and Facebook, and no, I have not seen them, and no, they are no longer available, not that I have checked. But apparently those videos of a middle-aged, buck-nekkid, stocky man with a dark beard and his green hijab-headed wife (no mention of whether she too was naked) have caused quite a stir in Tajikistan.

An imam in Bolshevik, Tajikistan confessed to filming his sexual activities with his wife on his cell phone, but denies that he was the one who posted them on the YouTube. Supposedly he lost the phone, which is entirely possible, since he would have to be terribly stupid to post them himself, considering it is un-Islamic to take photos of sexual activities, at least in Tajikistan.

No names have been revealed, though the person who posted them on YouTube- Soleh Hotamyon- incorrectly identified the man.

One caption erroneously identified the man in the video as Muhiddin Kabiri, the nonbearded chairman of the Islamic Renaissance Party of Tajikistan (IRPT). The captions for the two other clips mention IRPT Deputy Chairman Mahmadali Hait, who has a white beard.
The imam might lose his job, and authorities are trying to find out who posted them on the Internet. Invasion of privacy.

The local population are outraged.

On the website of RFE/RL’s Tajik Service, one visitor wrote:

"Nowadays our blind people believe anyone wearing a beard or a turban and worship him. The guy recorded his intimate scene on his mobile phone. Do you really believe that he thinks about the image of Muslims? I don't believe so!"

Others wrote:

“It's so disgusting. How is it possible to record sex with your wife and publish in on the Internet?? He does not deserve to be a cleric. Don't call him a cleric."

"Mullahs like you are discrediting our dear Islam. Do you know how much you pleased the enemies of Islam? If I were an official, I would give you a life jail sentence."

On June 20th, the powers that be will discuss the situation and what, if anything, should happen to the imam.

Bizarre DPRK Entertainment- Moranbong all-girl Band Formed By Kim Jong-Un

More bizarre entertainment from North Korea.

Footage of a missile firing on a huge screen behind a mini-skirted, all-girl band.

And take a look at the staged audience. And all those suited men.

The Moranbong Band, is one of Kim Jong-un's pet projects. Like father like son.

It's all so very creepy.

Wife-Beating In The Quran Great For Sadists and Masochists, Says Kuwaiti Cleric

Kuwaiti scholar Jassem al-Mutawa discusses the rules and benefits of wife-beating.

Since men are the "guardians" of women (read, "own"), wife-beating is acceptable. After all, it says so in the Quran.

For disobedient wives, the first course of action, per the Quran, is to admonish them. If that doesn't work, then no sex, and as a last resort, they get to beat them. But not on the face (probably because that's the only visible part of their bodies), and no broken bones. I suppose beating them black and blue would be okay.

And, it's "immoral" for the wife to beat her hubby, because "this would be undermining the authority of the husband." If the husband misbehaves, she has to get a court order to have someone else beat him, because women are too weak and fragile.

And, best of all, wife beating is the perfect solution for men who suffer from sadism and women who suffer from masochism, or sadism. He explains why.

Of course, al-Mutawa claims, even though the Quran permits wife-beating, no woman has ever died from wife-beating,  not like in the West where it happens all the time. No, they have no cases of death resulting from it, and if there have been any it is rare. They just pour acid, or cut off noses and ears.

Watch this idiot for yourself.
