The U.S. Navy's new "Terrorist Catch and Release" program

"The US Navy today announced that it has released a senior Al Qaeda terrorist after questioning him extensively for 27 days while being held prisoner aboard a US aircraft carrier in the Arabian Sea. In a humanitarian gesture, the terrorist was given $50 and a white 1962 Ford Fairlane automobile and sent on his way."

    Very good! I enjoyed your post. I hope you will someday feel good about proclaiming your true feelings. I felt that way about my time in Vietnam for a long time. Now I'm ok with it. I did the right thing.

    The caption reads that this took place in 2003. The photo was taken in 1978, but given the caption, nobody used it in a slideshow in 2001.

    The actual event took place in 1978. I was there.
