ISIS Has Arrived In Afghanistan

The Islamic State has apparently arrived in Afghanistan and the government, in denial for quite some time, is finally admitting there is a potential problem, although they are handling it before it becomes an issue.

"Islamic State or those people who call themselves Islamic State are active in some areas and our intelligence reports confirm it and we cannot deny it," Interior Ministry spokesman Siddiq Sidiqqi admitted during a February 10 interview with RFE/RL's Radio Free Afghanistan.
[snip]
But he said that national security forces were on top of the situation, offering assurances that "wherever they act we destroy them and don’t give them the opportunity to become active in Afghanistan."

They did off ex-Guantanamo prisoner/Taliban leader Mullah Abdul Rauf, who was recruiting for Islamic State in southern Afghanistan. And nabbed the Afghan spokesman for IS, Abdul Qadir Wahidi, who is now spending some time in prison. According to RFE/RL:

He said that he was arrested about two months ago by NSD officers when he appeared in Kabul for what he thought would be peace talks with government officials.
Wahidi said it was he who sent and appeared in a video to a Radio Free Afghanistan correspondent in September in which he claimed to represent a group called the Islamic Organization of Great Afghanistan, and expressed its willingness to fight for Islamic State "caliph" Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi.

Many believe there is no way the Islamic State will gain foothold in a country that houses the Taliban and Al-Qaeda.
Some pointed to cultural clashes that would erupt when outsiders adhering to a strict form of Wahhabism encroached on long-established tribal traditions in Afghanistan. Others asked whether disgruntled Taliban were simply saying they were allying themselves with Islamic State in order to gain street cred. And the possibility was raised that provincial officials were heightening alarm in order to attract more funding and security from Kabul.
Though there's not much difference between these groups, there are cultural differences that might not appeal to the likes of the Taliban. After all, Islamic State jihadists kill homosexuals, Taliban actually use young boys as sex slaves.  That might doom the ever popular bacha bazi entertainment- dressing up young boys in dress for dancing and sex. Islamic State might just be a tad too strict.

So it seems Islamic State fighters might have a fight on their hands. Mohammad Jan Rasulyar, deputy governor of Helmand Province had this to say:

"... the Islamic State militants, who were carrying black flags to indicate their allegiance to Al-Baghdadi's group, were clashing with white-flagged Taliban.
We consider both groups an enemy, both of them are enemies of Afghans and killing Afghans," Rasulyar said. "But, it would better for us if they would fight each other and our Afghans were spared from their evil."

That's what I was thinking. Let them duke it out and be done with it, but others think Islamic State and Taliban will iron out their differences and become a major problem if the government doesn't do something about it now.
Speaking before a gathering of Afghan clerics in the northern city of Mazar-e-Sharif on February 13, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Afghanistan Mohammad Mohaqiq called on the Afghan government to take serious action to counter Islamic State's activities.

Military analyst Jawed Kohistani said that, if Kabul doesn't answer the call now, it will mean trouble by as early as this summer.

"They [IS recruits in Afghanistan] will resolve their problems with the Taliban, find resources to fund their activities, and will be prepared for offensive operations," he told Radio Free Afghanistan on February 13. "If [the government] doesn't make good use of the capabilities and abilities of its military forces and doesn't pay attention to intelligence, we will be confronted with enormous problems in the future."

But Islamic State of Syria and Iraq's (ISIS) head honcho, Abu Bakr al-Baghdad, allegedly called the Taliban's head honcho, Mullah Mohammad Omar, a fool and illiterate war lord, and that ISIS has accomplished more in two years than the Taliban has in the past ten years. Them 'thar are fightin' words.

Just let them off each other, please.

ISIS Caliph Al-Baghdadi Calls For Saudi Supporters To Kill Shiites, Saudi Leaders and Crusaders

An audio message allegedly from Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, Caliph of the Islamic State (aka ISIS, ISIL), who might or might not be wounded, calls on Saudi supporters to kill the Shiites, then the House of Saud and its soldiers, and then the crusaders and their bases. In that order.

Guess we infidels have a bit of a breather.

"Tear them to pieces and kill them in droves." [snip] "And very soon, Allah willing, the vanguards of the Islamic State will reach you."

ISIS Leader Al-Baghdadi Critically Wounded

There are reports that head honcho of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS)- Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi- has been critically injured in al-Qaim, a border town in western Iraq.  One can only hope, though we know if one falls, another one will take his place.

Senior ISIS members were reportedly meeting in the town of al-Qaim near Mosul. After the strikes, the fighters evacuated a nearby hospital and used loudspeakers to ask for blood donors, Sky News reported.

U.S. Central Command confirmed in a statement that U.S.-led air strikes targeted ISIS leaders near their northern Iraqi hub of Mosul late Friday, without confirming whether Baghdadi was killed, AFP reported.

“This strike demonstrates the pressure we continue to place on the ISIL [ISIS] terrorist network and the group's increasingly limited freedom to maneuver, communicate and command," US Central Command said.

Anbar province MP Mohammad al-Karbuli told Al Arabiya News Channel that coalition aircraft had targeted a gathering of ISIS leaders in al-Qaim that led to the killing of tens of people and wounded.

Karbuli said chaos ensued the air raid with ISIS members scrambling to transport their wounded to al-Qaim hospital which was overwhelmed with the number of patients.

Theo Padnos- Journalist's Story Of His Capture, Torture, and Release By Syria's Nusra Front

Theo Padnos is a journalist who has written about his time as a kidnap victim in Syria. It is a detailed account of his capture, torture, and eventual release by the al-Qaeda affiliate Nusra Front. It's a long but harrowing tale, and what we take away from his story is that there are no good guys in Syria. There are no "moderates" in the rebel forces. The Free Syrian Army (FSA) is untrustworthy, after all, on several occasions, they handed him over to the jihdaists Jebhat al-Nusra. And the Nusra Front and the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) are essentially one and the same.

On the problem between the two jihadist armies, who both have the same goals and penchant for violence, but who are now fighting each other, he writes:
The real issue between the Nusra Front and the Islamic State was that their commanders, former friends from Iraq, were unable to agree on how to share the revenue from the oil fields in eastern Syria that the Nusra Front had conquered. On the one hand, I was pleased by this. It made the men despise each other. Had their armies reconciled, I would have become the prisoner of a reunited fundamentalist organization under the command of the stronger of the leaders, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi of the Islamic State.

On the goals of the Islamists to export jihad to Western nations, and establish Islamic emirates, he writes:

Over the last 22 months, I had stopped being surprised when Nusra Front commanders introduced their 8-year-old sons to me by saying, “He will be a suicide martyr someday, by the will of God.” The children participated in the torture sessions. Around the prisons, they wore large pouches with red wires sticking out of them — apparently suicide belts — and sang their “destroy the Jews, death to America” anthems in the hallways. It would be a mistake to assume that only Syrians are educating their children in this manner. The Nusra Front higher-ups were inviting Westerners to the jihad in Syria not so much because they needed more foot soldiers — they didn’t — but because they want to teach the Westerners to take the struggle into every neighborhood and subway station back home. They want these Westerners to train their 8-year-olds to do the same. Over time, they said, the jihadists would carve mini-Islamic emirates out of the Western countries, as the Islamic State had done in Syria and Iraq. There, Western Muslims would at last live with dignity, under a true Quranic dispensation.

The rest here. Worth a read.

I hope the world is taking note.

10,000 ISIS Jihadists Surround Baghdad

So much for the supposed 350 airstrikes against Islamic State jihadists in Syria and Iraq. The Kurdish town of Kobane, in northern Syria is poised to fall to ISIS, and now Baghdad, Iraq, has been surrounded. Much of Anbar province- Baghdad's back yard- is under ISIS control. If they capture all of all of it, including the city of Ramadi, Anbar's capital, this does not bode well for Baghdad and the 1,500 or so U.S. troops helping Iraqi forces there.

ISIS’s heightened activity led to speculation that the group’s offensive to control Kobane was only a decoy architectured by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the self-proclaimed ISIS “caliph.”
Observers, the Telegraph reported, say that while an ISIS-controlled Kobane would not greatly benefit the group strategically, the capture of Ramadi and other cities in Anbar would, as it would be catastrophic for both the Iraqi government and the U.S.-led coalition hoping to contain the group.

According to an Iraqi official there are around 10,000 ISIS terrorists surrounding Baghdad. That's a mighty force.

ISIS Leader Al-Baghdadi Is A Jew/ Mossad Agent- Conspiracy Theory of the Day

YouTube is such a source of entertainment.

Here's another hoot of a conspiracy theory.  Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the self proclaimed Caliph of the Islamic State, is actually a Jew, Elliot Shimon, trained by Israel's Mossad, in cahoots with the UK, the US and Israel to create a greater Israel, which would include parts of Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Turkey, Jordan, Saudi Arabia.  In other words, the Brits, Americans and Israelis actually created the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) to accomplish that goal.

Oh, and traitor Edward Snowden is allegedly the source of this information.

And there's this video, courtesy of Technology Unlimited News. Obviously one of the many False Flag, Conspiracy Theory lunatic groups living in the US.

ISIS Forces Out The Last Christians In Mosul, Iraq With Their Jizya Or Convert Demands

After living there for centuries, there are no more Christians in Mosul.  ISIS/ISIL gave them an ultimatum after gaining control of the northern Iraqi city- Convert to Islam, retain Dhimma status and pay the jizya (infidel tax), or death by the sword. They had until yesterday, July 19th to decide. The few remaining families left on the eve of the deadline, most with just the clothes on their back. Apparently, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the appointed Caliph of the Islamic State, announced that those who chose to leave would not be allowed to take any of their possessions. The few who tried, claim they were robbed.

Many fled to Iraqi Kurdistan, others to Hamdaniya, a predominately Christian town southeast of Mosul protected by Kurdish forces. One 60-year-old woman had this to say about leaving:
"We have lived in this city and we have had a civilisation for thousands of years - and suddenly some strangers came and expelled us from our homes."

Another man spoke about being robbed:
"The Islamic State stopped my relatives at a checkpoint when they were fleeing and when they found out they were Christians, they took everything they were carrying, including their mobile phones. They left them only with the clothes they were wearing."
But the Christians aren't the only ones ISIL has targeted, the Sunni radicals have forced Kurdish Yazidis, and Turkmen and Shabak Shi'ites to flee as well. Those they haven't captured or killed.

And that area was once considered the "cradle of civilization."

More on what they have endured.

Caliphate Passport To Be Issued By ISIS

After recently declaring a caliphate, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is allegedly planning to issue passports to those living within the confines of the caliphate.

The "State of the Islamic Caliphate” appears to be inscribed at the top of the purported passport. At the bottom, it says: “The holder of the passport if harmed we will deploy armies for his service.”

ISIS reportedly said the new document will be distributed to 11,000 citizens living in cities bordering Iraq and Syria.

The militant group, which operates in both Iraq and Syria, said their caliphate would spread from Aleppo in northern Syria to Diyala in eastern Iraq.

The passport is reportedly being printed in a government facility in Mosul that was built in 2011.

The facility known as the “Identification and Passport Center” was scheduled by the Maliki’s government to start issuing new ID card next week, according to Iraqi media reports.
The leader of the caliphate, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, has called on Muslims to immigrate to the Islamic State because it's "a duty." He's especially interested in Muslims who have skills:

“judges and those who have military and managerial and service skills, and doctors and engineers in all fields.”
He also told the jihadists fighting in Syria and Iraq:

“Terrify the enemies of Allah and seek death in the places where you expect to find it. "“Your brothers, on every piece of this earth, are waiting for you to rescue them.”

ISIS Jihadists Establish Islamic Caliphate

Those lovely jihadists fighting in Syria and Iraq as part of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) have just nominated their leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi as "the caliph" and "leader for Muslims everywhere."  Yes, Muslims finally have that caliphate so many have dreamed of since the fall of the Ottoman Empire in the early 1900s.

"The Shura [council] of the Islamic State met and discussed this issue [of the caliphate] ... The Islamic State decided to establish an Islamic caliphate and to designate a caliph for the state of the Muslims," said ISIS spokesman Abu Mohammad al-Adnani.
"The jihadist cleric Baghdadi was designated the caliph of the Muslims," said Adnani.
Baghdadi "has accepted this allegiance and has thus become the leader for Muslims everywhere."
"The words 'Iraq' and 'the Levant' have been removed from the name of the Islamic State in official papers and documents," Adnani said, describing the caliphate as "the dream in all the Muslims’ hearts" and "the hope of all jihadists."
Ever since the Prophet Muhammad’s death, a caliph was designated "the prince" or emir "of the believers.”
