Danish Imam Preaches Against Interfaith Dialogue

‎“I will discuss a topic that is both old and new: interfaith dialogue... The Messenger of ‎Allah [Muhammad] lived near Jews in Medina. Did he call for closer relations, harmony ‎and dialogue with them, like the UN and its supporters, who seek to reconcile truth and ‎falsehood? Or did he call on them to worship the one and only Allah? When they [the ‎Jews] broke their treaties [with Muhammad], you know how he treated them. His ‎biography tells of his war against the Jews... According to their view [interfaith dialogue ‎supporters], Jihad has become ‘suicide,’ Jihad has become ‘barbarity,’ Martyrdom-‎seeking has become suicide, and taking [financial] interest is permitted... [Allah] has ‎made laws for us that regulate our relationship with them [Jews and Christians] when ‎we are in their countries. These laws do not include so-called interfaith dialogue. On ‎the contrary, [we must] preach and adhere to the ideological struggle to counter their ‎false arguments, refute their claims and present Islam as an alternative to their bogus ‎cultures, which have led them into the abyss of vileness and corruption, and caused ‎them to deteriorate from humans to beasts.”‎

Danish ISIS Jihadists Receiving Unemployment Benefits

No-one knows for sure exactly how many European fighters are fighting with the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq. There are only conservative estimates. Denmark has over 100 jihadists fighting in Syria, and 28 of those have been receiving unemployment benefits.

Out of the 28 Danish people identified by the Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET) as having received benefits, 15 had been ordered to pay the money back, eight people were still being investigated, and five cases had been dropped due to insufficient evidence, tabloid BT reported.

“It is incredibly important that we are not naive,” Danish Justice Minister Mette Frederiksen told the daily when asked about the data, which was found by merging records kept by different authorities.

Denmark has one of the world’s most generous unemployment insurance systems, with those on the scheme receiving up to 801 kroner per day (108 euros, $134) for up to two years.

However, some of the jihadists were on a significantly more modest basic unemployment benefit also paid in Denmark.

Arab Christian Women Attacked In Denmark By Muslims

It's not just Jews being attacked by Muslim youth in Scandinavian countries. In Copenhagen, Denmark, Arab Christians (particularly women) are being targeted as well.

On this video on YouTube, a Lebanese young woman and Iranian Christian mother discuss what they have been subjected to by local Muslim youth.  Both speak about being called Christian whores and told they should be stoned.

Danish Muslim Lab Techs Could Be Fired For Refusing To Wear Short Sleeves

Two female Muslim lab technicians at a hospital in Denmark are about to lose their jobs because they refuse to wear short sleeves- a dress-code requirement at the Hvidovre Hospital near Copenhagen. The dress-code is a measure the hospital has implemented for sanitary reasons.

According to the hospital Deputy Director, Torben Mogenson, this has been an ongoing issue since last fall:

"Short sleeves are part of the Capital Region's dress code. This is in the interest of our patients. You can not wash your hands with long sleeves. We do a lot for people with different ethnic backgrounds. But when it comes to hygiene we do not compromise the safety of the patients. We have fought for years to get doctors to use short sleeves."

This is the first case where someone could be fired because of their religious practices.

Both of the women are on sick leave, and one of them explained that she'd visited with several imams who told her that good Muslim women must always wear long sleeves at work. In other words, health of the patients be damned

I guess they don't have an equivalent of CAIR (Council on Islamic American Relations) over in Denmark, because you know if that happened here they'd be on the case in a flash, and those lab techs would be working with their long sleeves, happily compromising the health of patients and others.

Muslim Student Chef Gets Concession To Not Taste Pork, Wine Dishes

I will be the first to condemn any Muslim unwilling to integrate or for attempting to impose their religious dictates on the rest of us. But every once in a while I come across a story that I can actually relate to, like the problems Ikram Korkmaz had at his culinary school in Valby, Denmark. Korkmaz is a Turkish Muslim who was told by the school administration that if he didn't taste any of the dishes that contained alcohol or pork he would not graduate. The college even brought in an imam to convince Korkmaz that it was okay, but he still refused. Schooled in Turkey, Korkmaz said,

“Perhaps some Muslim students believed what that imam said and tasted pork, but I will never do so,” he told Today’s Zaman.

After trying to reason with the various school officials, Korkmaz eventually complained to the Education Ministry and came out the winner.  According to Mette Klingsey Møller, spokesperson for the Ministry, the school has now made a concession for Korkmaz (and others who might have similar problems with certain foods) whereby other students can taste the dishes for them.

According to The Copenhagen Post, both the leftist Enhedslisten party and the right-wing Dansk Folkeparti actually agreed, for the first time, on the issue.

“It is a completely crazy case,” Johanne Schmidt-Nielsen, the spokesperson of Enhedslisten, told public broadcaster back in February. “I expect that the Education Ministry will take action right away. I also do not think that you can tell a lactose-intolerant person that he or she cannot become a chef.”

“It seems odd not to want to taste the food that one is going to serve,” added Dansk Folkeparti deputy leader Peter Skaarup. “But it can never become a requirement, to make someone eat or taste something specific.”

And I do too. As a vegetarian, non-drinker, I would not want to be forced to taste meat or alcohol-doused dishes of any kind. You might then say, then don't go to culinary school. But if I chose to become a vegetarian chef, I would still need to learn the basics. And, those with dietary health restrictions, as Schmidt-Nielson said- are you going to tell them they can't become chefs? There have been many times I have turned down commercial auditions because I would have had to eat meat. Does that mean I shouldn't have become an actress?

I honestly don't think that the student chef was politicizing the issue, unlike the UK MPs who insisted they get halal meat on the menu at Westminster eateries, and am glad the college made this exception.
