Hindu Extremists Destroy Paintings, Jewish Extremists Vandalize A Monastery

Muslims aren't the only ones with extremists in their midst. Most religions have them. Although people of other faiths might not have as great collective penchant for physically harming their fellow man as Muslims do (this is a fact- just read the news), they share the problem of destroying property that does not belong to them. Shameful, in its own right.

Egyptian Islamists might burn down and destroy Christian churches, but so do Jewish extremists. Although only minimal, it is thought that a fire bomb caused damage to the exterior of a monastery in Jerusalem.   And according to Luba Samir, police spokeswoman, "price tag" was also plastered on the outside of Beit Gemal Monastery.
In recent years, vandals have targeted mosques, churches, monasteries, dovish Israeli groups and even Israeli military bases to protest against what they perceive as the Israeli government's pro-Palestinian policies in the West Bank. Vandals call the attacks the "price tag" for the policies they oppose.

What began as small-scale attacks against Palestinians and their crops in the West Bank in response to Palestinian militant attacks or Israeli measures against settlements have since evolved into hate crimes inside Israel proper.

Last December, a Greek Orthodox monastery in Jerusalem was spray-painted with anti-Christian messages. Mosques have been burned and defaced with slogans insulting the Prophet Mohammed.
The attacks have been condemned, across the board, by Israeli leaders.

Then we have the Hindu extremists  (in this case, members of the youth group Bajrang Dal), who destroyed over 30 paintings being exhibited  at the Amdavad Ni Gufa Art Gallery in Ahmedabad in the Indian state of Gujarat.  An eyewitness said that some of the extremists shouted:

‘While Pakistan brutally kills our soldiers, we are busy promoting their art. They should be taught a lesson,.’
And yet, 6 of the artists exhibiting there- along with 11 Pakistanis- were Indian, and their paintings were also destroyed.

And we have Christian extremists, like the Westboro Baptist freaks, who might not destroy property or physically harm others, but who are just as vicious with their un-Christian-like actions.

Satanists Turn Westboro Baptist Fred Phelps' Dead Mama Gay

Here's one for the bizarro file. After the hideous Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) wackos claimed they planned on picketing the funerals of the victims of the Boston Bombings (which they actually did not), members of the Satanic Temple decided it was payback time. So what better way of aggravating the "God Hates Fags" church founder Fred W. Phelps and his devotees than to perform a "Pink Mass" at the grave of his mama Catherine Idalette Johnston.  According to the Satanic Temple, dead mama Phelps is now gay.

As per Jonathan Smith of Vice.com:

The Pink Mass is a Satanic ritual performed after death that turns the deceased's straight spirit into a homo one—it’s not unlike the Mormon practice of baptizing the dead, only much gayer.
On Sunday the Satanic Temple, which first came into the national spotlight last January when the organization announced its support for Florida Governor Rick Scott, went to the Phelps family graveyard in Mississippi to perform the ritual. (Two Pink Masses were performed, one with a female couple and another with men.) I contacted Lucien Greaves, the Temple’s spokesperson and officiator of the ceremony, to find out what exactly the Pink Mass entials. While he didn't get into specifics, he told told me via email that "there were, in fact, scriptures recited, candles lit, and a ceremonial proceeding that we may eventually post the details of at our website, westboro-baptist.com. That is, if the Pink Mass generates sufficient interest to the point that other responsible parties, respectful of the graveyard, wish to perform their own."

Satanists versus Christian extremists- a match made in heaven, er, hell. [A side note here, Fred Phelps and WBC might be Christian extremists, but Phelps is a Democrat. I assume the others are as well.]

It's not the first time the WBC has been targeted by fringe groups. The hacktivist group Anonymous targeted them as well after they announced they would picket the funerals of the Sandy Hook Massacre.
