Pro-ISIS Tweeter @ShamiWitness Arrested In India

24-year-old Mehdi Masroor Biswas, who is thought to be the popular Pro-ISIS jihadi Tweeter @ShamiWitness has been arrested by police at his apartment in a shishi area of Bangalore, India.

Mehdi had been working as an executive for an Indian food conglomerate during the day, and inciting violence on Twitter at night. He was outed by Britain's Channel 4 News.

Tweets from @ShamiWitness contained jihadist propaganda as well as information for would-be recruits and messages praising fallen fighters as martyrs. Police in Bangalore raided his house in an upscale suburb early Saturday and seized his mobile phone, laptop and other documents for evidence. “On the basis of credible intelligence inputs ... we have apprehended Mehdi Masroor Biswas from his rented oneroom apartment,” police director general L.R. Pachuau said at a news conference. “He has confessed to the fact that he was operating Shami Witness Twitter account for the last many years ... he used to work in the office in the day and became active on the Internet late at night,” he said. India’s moderate population of 150 million Muslims have not often been drawn into sectarian conflicts in the Middle East and elsewhere. However, an Indian student was recently charged with terror- related offences after he returned home from Iraq where he is alleged to have worked for the jihadists.

[snip]

Biswas was “particularly close to English speaking terrorists” and had become a source of “incitement and information” for youngsters trying to join the IS group. “Through his social media propaganda, he abetted IS in its agenda to wage war against the Asiatic powers,” Pachuau said. A preliminary case of abetting war against the state has been registered against Biswas.

Other jihadi ISIS Tweeters are probably crawling under rocks about now.

Well done India.

ID Of Man Behind Top ISIS Twitter Account #ShamiWitness Outed- UPDATE

UPDATE: #ShamiWitness has been fully outed by Twitter sleuths.  He's allegedly Mehdi Masroor Biswas, and some claim he might actually be a student not an executive.  But he's closed his Linked-In and Facebook accounts, in addition to his Twitter account. Many other pro-ISIS jihadis are running scared and shutting down their accounts as well.  I also erroneously mentioned he was married with kids.  The familial obligations were actually his parents.  I think.

There are a slew of pro-Islamic State Twitter accounts with thousands of followers. Many are supporters, some are actually jihadis fighting in Syria and Iraq. Those accounts that happen to get suspended usually resurface very quickly.  One popular account with foreign jihadis- Shami Witness- had 17,700 followers and was considered to be one of most influential pro-ISIS accounts on Twitter. But Shami Witness is no more. A Channel 4 News investigation made sure of that. They discovered who was posting anonymously as Shami Witness and it turns out he was an executive with a business conglomerate based in Bangalore, India. He is Indian. His name is Mehdi. Married with kids. Obviously educated.

He spent his mornings, afternoons and evenings sending thousands of tweets of propaganda about the Islamic State militant group, acting as the leading conduit of information between jihadis, supporters, and recruits.[snip]Two thirds of all foreign fighters on Twitter followed him. When a fighter's Twitter account is suspended, he often promoted the new one and urged people to follow it.
He spoke to British jihadis regularly, before they leave to join the Islamic State, after they arrived, and if they died he praised them as martyrs.
Channel 4 has kindly decided not to identify him. Lucky Mehdi. He told them his life would be in danger. If it weren't for familial responsibilities he would have joined ISIS.

He also has a Facebook page, with a different persona.

On his Facebook pages he regularly shares jokes, funny images and talks about superhero movies, posting pictures of pizza dinners with friends, and Hawaiian parties at work.
He actually removed his own Twitter account after he was outed, but when it was in full swing he joined many other pro-ISIS Twitterers in posting videos of the beheadings of innocent foreigners:

Using the @ShamiWitness account he five times tweeted the video of the execution of US aid worker Peter Kassig, and dozens of Syrian soldiers within minutes of it being uploaded to the internet.

"May allah guide, protect, strengthen and expand the Islamic State ... Islamic State brought peace, autonomy, zero corruption, low crime-rate", he wrote on Twitter in November.
[snip]
And he said to British fighter Mehdi Hassan "May Allah give you brothers decisive victory there". Hassan later died fighting in Kobane.
[snip]
ShamiWitness seemed to express glee at the deaths and rapes of Kurdish fighters on Twitter, but later said that this comment was taken out of context.

He had written and later deleted the tweet where he said: "@ArjDnn I should thank PKK for recruiting female fighters, specially the ones caught alive by rebels. lol".
And yet on Facebook, he was a vocal advocate against rape.

I'm sure Mehdi/Shami Witness, like all the others, will reincarnate under a different Twitter account in no time. Unless the Indian government was informed and starts keeping tabs on him.

Vogue India's Campaign To End Abuse And Rape- Video

India has a major rape culture and domestic violence problem, and it's not just Muslims who are the perpetrators.  Vogue Empower is tackling the issue with the release of a short film titled "Boys Don't Cry."  Directed by Vinil Mathew of Bollywood fame, and produced by the Managing Director of Conde Nast India, Alex Kuruvilla, it focuses on how teaching young boys to not cry can eventually lead to violence as adults.

The hard-hitting film features an endless cycle of parents scolding their sons, from toddlers through adolescence, for crying. It then powerfully culminates in an image of a man holding back tears. The camera shot then pans out to unveil that he is converting his emotions into violence by physically abusing his already battered female partner.
At the end of the video, a woman says: “We have taught our boys not to cry. It’s time we teach them not to make girls cry,”

Kuruvilla was inspired to produce the film after a Susan Sarandon comment at the Goa Film Festival:

“If you want to make a change, start with the boys.”
He said:

“The idea of the film is centered around the fundamental truth that women’s empowerment is not about women alone, which is why I pledged to create a short film that communicates clearly the need to change the mindset of boys before they become men."

[snip]

“When we teach young boys at an early age to not do something ‘like a girl’ – the distinction that what a girl does is insignificant is imprinted in the young boy’s mind. Growing up, when these boys don’t see eye to eye with their partners they feel the need to enforce their views through aggression.”

Unlikely Supporters Of Israel

Back in early August. South Africans held the largest pro-Israel rally ever in Johannesburg. Side by side were over 10,000 Jews and non-Jews, blacks and whites, and people from Nigeria, Cameroon and elsewhere, waving Israeli and South African flags, and voicing their support for Israel- especially notable considering the SA government does not support Israel.

Video here.

And Indians support Israel, too. They held their own pro-Israel, anti-radical Islam rally in Kolkata on August 16. Some 10,000 strong took to the streets in a show of solidarity.

And this oddity: Pacific Islanders, South Pacific Hebrews, supposed descendants of the Naphtali Tribe here singing about Israel. They have a Facebook page, though not very current.

And whoever created the page is not very thrilled with Obama. This was a post back in 2013.

Lucas 10:18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

- Baraq in hebrew (ברק) means LIGHTNING.

- The Hebrew letter vau is translated as "O" or "U", and is mainly used to make a connection between two words or two concepts

- BAMA is used to refer to the “Heights” of Heaven (Isaiah 14:14)

So who is the president of the USA Mr. Barak O Bama ?!?!?!?!

Lord of the FLIES : Also, in recent years recordings of Obama were taken with a fly on his face. Lord of the Flies in hebrew = Beëlzebub = the false god Baäl = Satan

Do I have to say more !?!?!

Very brave of these people, considering being pro-Israel isn't a very popular stance these days.

Hindu Extremists Destroy Paintings, Jewish Extremists Vandalize A Monastery

Muslims aren't the only ones with extremists in their midst. Most religions have them. Although people of other faiths might not have as great collective penchant for physically harming their fellow man as Muslims do (this is a fact- just read the news), they share the problem of destroying property that does not belong to them. Shameful, in its own right.

Egyptian Islamists might burn down and destroy Christian churches, but so do Jewish extremists. Although only minimal, it is thought that a fire bomb caused damage to the exterior of a monastery in Jerusalem.   And according to Luba Samir, police spokeswoman, "price tag" was also plastered on the outside of Beit Gemal Monastery.
In recent years, vandals have targeted mosques, churches, monasteries, dovish Israeli groups and even Israeli military bases to protest against what they perceive as the Israeli government's pro-Palestinian policies in the West Bank. Vandals call the attacks the "price tag" for the policies they oppose.

What began as small-scale attacks against Palestinians and their crops in the West Bank in response to Palestinian militant attacks or Israeli measures against settlements have since evolved into hate crimes inside Israel proper.

Last December, a Greek Orthodox monastery in Jerusalem was spray-painted with anti-Christian messages. Mosques have been burned and defaced with slogans insulting the Prophet Mohammed.
The attacks have been condemned, across the board, by Israeli leaders.

Then we have the Hindu extremists  (in this case, members of the youth group Bajrang Dal), who destroyed over 30 paintings being exhibited  at the Amdavad Ni Gufa Art Gallery in Ahmedabad in the Indian state of Gujarat.  An eyewitness said that some of the extremists shouted:

‘While Pakistan brutally kills our soldiers, we are busy promoting their art. They should be taught a lesson,.’
And yet, 6 of the artists exhibiting there- along with 11 Pakistanis- were Indian, and their paintings were also destroyed.

And we have Christian extremists, like the Westboro Baptist freaks, who might not destroy property or physically harm others, but who are just as vicious with their un-Christian-like actions.

Pakistan Bans Indian Film About Muslim Hindu Love-Affair

No interfaith movies for Pakistan. Nope, too inflammatory and potentially offensive to the Muslim majority. And the Film Censor Board, along with the rest of the world, knows too well what happens when Muslims in Pakistan get offended. So, the Indian produced film “Raanjhanaa” has been banned.

“The censor board did not clear this movie because of its controversial story,” Arshad Ali, a senior government official and chairman of the board, told AFP.

“The board recommended that the movie’s storyline could offend the majority Muslim population in the country and a law and order situation could arise in response,” he said.

According to press reports the film is the love story of a Hindu man and a Muslim woman.

It's not the first movie banned because it could incite the masses to violence.

Pakistani movie distributors boycotted Hollywood film “Zero Dark Thirty” about the hunt for Osama bin Laden, who was killed by U.S. troops in Pakistan on May 2, 2011 to the country’s humiliating.

In 2012, Pakistan banned Agent Vinod, India’s answer to James Bond in which an Indian secret agent thwarts Pakistani spies from detonating a nuclear bomb in Delhi.

India and Pakistan have fought three wars since independence from British rule in 1947.

In 2010, censors also refused permission for Indian film “Tere bin Laden”, which poked fun at bin Laden. The board claimed it would incite suicide attacks.

Sad that Pakistan (and the rest of the world)  is being held hostage to the violence that Islam inspires in some people.

Cell Phones Banned For Women In Muslim Indian Village

Once again ignorant, chauvinistic Muslims, this time in India, show us what little regard they have for women.

A village in Northwest  India  has banned cell phone usage for women (except at home in front of their parents) because it debases "the social atmosphere of the village." According to cleric Shobat Khan Pathan, they are trying to prevent young women from eloping. In light of all the violence against women in that country, it's obvious they couldn't care less about the safety of those same young women. Not that a cellphone helped the poor young rape victim in Delhi.

The village council is also establishing a dress code for women, and have banned singing and dancing at weddings, for the women only.

Israel To Expel Illegals and Welcomes Indian Jews (Benei Menashe) To Their Ancient Homeland

While Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu is planning on deporting thousands of illegals back to Africa:

“Our aim is to repatriate tens of thousands of infiltrators now in Israel to their countries of origin,” he said, adding Israel had been in contact with several African governments.

“After having been confronted by the threat of hundreds of thousands (of illegal migrants), this month not a single infiltrator has reached cities in Israel,” he said, quoted in a government statement.

“We have reached this result over the past several months, and next month we will have completed the construction of the fence on the border with the Sinai,” facing Egypt, he said.

Israel began constructing the fence in late 2010 to stem the influx of thousands of illegal migrants through the porous border, which has also been a major drug and human trafficking route into Israel.

“Now we are moving on to the next stage, the repatriation of the infiltrators already here.”

Netanyahu and Israel are also prepping for the influx of Indian Jews.  7,200 of them. The Bnei Menashe- a community of Indian Jews who are supposedly descendants of one of the 10 Lost Tribes of Israel- are headed 'home'.  50 just arrived to join some 1,700 others who have already emigrated from India, the rest will be brought to Israel soon. Living in the northern part of India (between Burma/Myanmar and Bangladesh) their story is a fascinating one. Animists and headhunters prior to converting to Christianity in the 1800s, the Tibeto-Burmans remained Christian up until 1951 when one of the Pentacostalist flock, Chalianthanga (aka Mela Chala), had a dream in which he was told by God that they should return to their pre-Christian religion (Judaism) and migrate back to their ancient homeland.

The Indians say they are the descendants of the 10 tribes who lived in the kingdom of Israel in Biblical times and who were dispersed, according to the Bible, after the invasion of the Assyrians in 721 BC.
Michael Freund of the Shavei Israel group (meaning “those who return to Israel” in Hebrew), which arranged their journey, said more than 7,000 people have sought help from the Israeli government to emigrate from India.
“The members of this tribe have never forgotten where they came from and we are excited to be able to help them come back,” he told AFP, adding that hundreds of others were expected to arrive in coming weeks.

Israel has welcomed other 'descendants' of the 10 Lost Tribes including the Ethiopian Jews, aka Beta Israel.

Hindu Youth Set On Fire For Loving A Muslim Girl Dies

Star-crossed lovers, the stuff of musicals and classic plays. But in real life, it's usually far more brutal and much less romantic. This story- of Jithu Mohan, a Hindu boy, and Shabana, a Muslim girl, who fell in love- turns terribly tragic, like Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet". But in this case, rather than having their lives extinguished by their own hands, like the classic R&J, only Mohan died. An horrific death- murdered by his girlfriend's family.

Shabana's family lured him to their house where he was doused in gasoline and then set on fire, by a policeman, no less, an inspector Wahab.

The Vice Captain of Kerala Junior football with bright future, Jithu was in love with Shabana, a Muslim girl hailing from Chunakkara. On getting a whiff of the relationship, the girl’s relatives opposed it and smuggled her to another relative’s house. Following this Jithu filed a habeas corpus in the Kerala High Court, following which the girl was produced before the court. She was, however, allowed to leave the place with her relatives. The attack on Jithu took place soon after the court hearing.

The testimony of Jithu being taken forcibly to the girl’s relative’s house was given by his friends. They said that Jithu made frantic calls for help as he was being attacked. “He was forcibly taken to the house of Shabana’s sister who resides in Kodungallur by her brother in law. Also in league with is an inspector Wahab. The incident of setting Jithu afire took place in Wahab’s house,” said sources.

Hindu organisations have called for a hartal tomorrow in Kodungallur and Mavellikara. They have demanded the arrest of Wahab and the others involved in the crime.

Will anything happen to Jithu's murderers, it's doubtful.

Indian Man Hacked To Death For Marrying Muslim Girl

Most in-laws of couples in inter-faith marriages get along. But religion can be very divisive, and not all families are so understanding. The most drastic thing I've heard is a son or daughter being disowned by his/her family for marrying someone of a different religion; or the daughter or son-in-law being terribly mistreated. Not nice, but it happens, and everyone suffers. But Ramesh, a 24-year-old Indian man (Hindu, I assume) didn't fare so well when he married a Muslim girl. Muslim girl's brother so hated that Ramesh married his Muslim sister that he (and some of his buddies) hacked Ramesh to pieces.

Ramesh, a goods carrier operator based here, had some months ago married the girl belonging to Idalakudi though her family had opposed it.

On June 14, two persons had engaged Ramesh's vehicle and taken him to Idalakudi where a seven-member gang including the brother of his wife attacked him with iron rods, police said adding he succumbed to injuries at a hospital yesterday.

As the news about his death spread, a group indulged in stone throwing at some localities in the area while some people blocked road traffic protesting the violence.

Police rushed to the spot and dispersed both the groups.

Six hundred police personnel had been deployed in the affected areas. Besides additional reinforcements had been rushed from Rajapalayam and Palani, police said.

Shops in Idalakudi and Ilangadai areas remained closed.

Police said they have arrested two persons and were looking for five others. The situation was tense but under control in the area.

In Islam, if you don't like someone (or something) you cover them up, hide them, or kill them.

Very sad.

Salman Rushdie Bashes Indian Government For Not Protecting Free Speech At Literary Fest

It's been almost 23 years since Sir Salman Rushdie had a death fatwa placed on his head by then Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. On February 14 1989, Khomeini issued the following:

"We are from Allah and to Allah we shall return." (Qoranic verse). I am informing all brave Muslims of the world that the author of The Satanic Verses, a text written, edited, and published against Islam, the Prophet of Islam, and the Koran, along with all the editors and publishers aware of its contents, are condemned to death. I call on all valiant Muslims wherever they may be in the world to kill them without delay, so that no one will dare insult the sacred beliefs of Muslims henceforth. And whoever is killed in this cause will be a martyr, Allah Willing. Meanwhile if someone has access to the author of the book but is incapable of carrying out the execution, he should inform the people so that [Rushdie] is punished for his actions.

Less then a month later that fatwa was the catalyst for the breakdown of diplomatic relations between Britain and Iran.  It wasn't until 1998- in order to reestablish relations with the U.K.- that then President Mohammad Khatami had to make a statement claiming Iran would "neither support nor hinder assassination operations on Rushdie."  However, in 2005 they backtracked and the current Ayatollah Ali Khamenei declared it was still cool to kill Rushdie for writing his 'blasphemous' novel "The Satanic Verses".  Banned in all but one Muslim-majority country (Turkey), it was also banned in several other nations including Venezuela and Rushdie's birthplace India.  It is no longer banned in Egypt and Libya, but still banned in India.

But what's most astonishing (or maybe not) is that after all these years people are still taking that fatwa to heart.   Rushdie was scheduled to speak at the Jaipur Literary Festival in India this week, but had to cancel because of assassination threats, and threats of violence.  Even a video-linked appearance was cancelled, although Rushdie has "doubts about the accuracy" of the intelligence sources that warned of  "paid assassins from the Mumbai underworld may be on their way to Jaipur to "eliminate" him.  Rusdhie believes the Indian government is kowtowing to Muslim extremists, and bashed officials for being more concerned about Muslim votes in upcoming elections than protecting free speech. He was also highly critical of

"Muslim groups that were so unscrupulous, and whose idea of free speech is that they are the only ones entitled to it". "[If] Anyone else, who they disagree with, wishes to open his mouth, they will try and stop that mouth. That's what we call tyranny. It's much worse than censorship because it comes with the threat of violence."

Rushdie has never been harmed but others affiliated with the work were not so lucky a publishers in Norway and Italy were shot and knifed respectively, and a Japanese translator was killed.

Sadly, Muslim extremists have long memories, great patience and unforgiving hearts.

It's A Girl- Female Infanticide and Foeticide In China and India

Women are not highly regarded in certain cultures, religions and countries.  In fact if you're female in certain regions of the world you'd be lucky if you even make it out of your mother's womb. In those places where males are valued more than females gendercide is astonishingly prevalent. According to the United Nations there are more than 200 million 'missing' girls as a result of 'femicide'.

If you live in China or India (followed closely by Taiwan, Pakistan and South Korea) you have less of a chance of surviving birth or toddlerhood than anywhere else in the world. It's estimated that China and India combined kill more infant girls than are born in the U.S. per annum. If they're not aborted, the infants are killed or abandoned and neglected.

The documentary film "It's A Girl!", produced by ShadowLine Films, documents this tragedy.

It tells the stories of abandoned and trafficked girls, of women who suffer extreme dowry-related violence, of brave mothers fighting to save their daughters' lives, and of other mothers who would kill for a son. Global experts and grassroots activists put the stories in context and advocate different paths towards change, while collectively lamenting the lack of any truly effective action against this injustice.

Girls who survive infancy are often subject to neglect, and many grow up to face extreme violence and even death at the hands of their own husbands or other family members.

The war against girls is rooted in centuries-old tradition and sustained by deeply ingrained cultural dynamics which, in combination with government policies, accelerate the elimination of girls.

Shot on location in India and China, It’s a Girl! explores the issue. It asks why this is happening, and why so little is being done to save girls and women.

According to Safe World For Women, more often than not it's women who are responsible for the death of their baby girls. One harrowing interview in the film trailer (see below), a giggling woman nonchalantly discusses killing 8 of her young daughters. Oftentimes, it's the mother-in-law who forces the issue:

The most insidious force is often the mother in law, the domestic matriarch, under whose authority the daughter in law lives. Policy efforts to halt infanticide have been directed at mothers, who are often victims themselves. The trailer shows tragic scenes of women having to decide between killing their daughters and their own well-being. In India women who fail to produce sons are beaten, raped or killed so that men can remarry in the hope of procuring a more productive wife.

And poverty and ignorance are not always a factor in gendercide.

Firstly, there is no evidence of concerted female infanticide among poverty-stricken societies in Africa or the Caribbean. Secondly, it is the affluent and urban middle classes, who are aware of prenatal screenings, who have access to clinics and who can afford abortions that commit foeticide. Activists fear 8 million female foetuses have been aborted in India in the last decade.

Read the rest of the article on gendercide.

"It's A Girl" is scheduled for a release in 2012.
