Geert Wilders' Solution To The ISIS/Radical Islam Problem In The Netherlands

Geert Wilders gave an impressive speech to the Dutch parliament with a workable solution for the ISIS/Radical Islam war against the rest of the world, at least when it comes to his country.

In the video he blames the 'elite' for the current trouble with Muslims in the Netherlands, admonishing them for wasting 10 plus years doing nothing about the problem. And there seems to be a major one. Wilders tells them:

"According to a study 73% of all Moroccans and Turks in the Netherlands are of the opinion that those who go to Syria to fight in the jihad are "heroes"- people to be admired."

After 9/11 he says that:

"..three-quarters of the Muslims in the Netherlands condoned this atrocity."
According to Wilders, that's hundreds of thousands of Muslims condoning terrorism in his country, and calls it a ticking time bomb.

He then Quotes from the Quran to prove his point that the Quran is a handbook for terrorists, and a "hunting permit" for millions of Muslims. Essentially "A license to kill."

Surah 8, Verse 60:

Prepare to strike terror into the hearts of the enemies of Allah.
Surah 47, Verse 4:

Therefore, when ye meet the unbelievers, smite at their necks.

Surah 4, Verse 89:

So take not friends from the ranks of the unbelievers, seize them and kill them wherever ye find them.
He says this is not a clash of civilizations, but rather a clash between barbarism and civilization.

At the 7:53 mark on the video he comes up with his solution.

Watch the video here.

Definitely worth a watch. He's a brave man.

Geert Wilders' Ex-Colleague Turned Muslim, To Produce Mohammed Film

I truly do not understand the appeal of Islam to a Westerner, particularly a female. There are many ways of finding God and living a good spiritual life without having to go to such extremes. But somehow, it does appeal. To many. And sometimes to the most unlikely of converts. Take Arnoud Van Doorn, the Dutch politician who used to be a member of Geert Wilders far-right Freedom Party (PVV), until he converted to Islam. Apparently, he was even involved in producing the film FITNA, which caused an uproar for equating Islam with violence back in 2008.  But, Van Doorn, for some bizarre reason, was drawn to Islam and has just made a trip to Saudi Arabia for his first pilgrimage after converting this year.  Not the Hajj.  Yet. But a pilgrimage nonetheless.

Arnoud said of his Umrah:

“If any person told me that I will visit the land of the two holy shrines, I would have told him that he must be insane."
"But what happened now is realization of a dream and it is still unbelievable for me that I am now in the holy city that hosted the Prophet (pbuh). I couldn’t control my feelings when I stood in front of the grave of the Prophet (pbuh) as well as in Rawdah Sharif, near the pulpit used by the Prophet (pbuh). When I prayed at Rawdah Sharaif, my eyes were full of tears as I had the feeling that I am in a part of the Paradise.”
“Finding Islam is a dream came true,” a tearful Doorn added.
Doorn, a member of the far-right Freedom Party (PVV) has embraced Islam earlier this year after an extensive study into the religion.

Apparently Doorn's interest was piqued after Muslims balked at the film.

Now, as penance for being such a bad Islamophobe, he is planning on producing a film about Islam and Mohammed, in association with the Canadian Dawah Association (CDA). The CDA was instrumental in getting him to convert to Islam, or revert as Muslims like to call it, since they believe all humans were born Muslim.

Since converts are often more zealous about their new found religion, Doorn hopes to dedicate his life to proselytizing.

“I will spare no efforts to protect the rights of Muslims in all European countries as well as to serve Islam and its followers throughout the world. I will try my best to repair the damage that I caused to Islam and its Prophet through the film ‘Fitna’."
As for repairing the damage that the film caused:

“I will use all my experience in producing an alternative film, which will speak about the true image of Islam and all aspects of the personality of the Prophet as well as his great qualities.”
As for his involvement in the film FITNA and his ultimate conversion:

“It was unfortunate that I did not make any efforts to know what really Islam is and who is the Prophet before blindly believing in the misinformation campaign being unleashed by the anti-Islamic forces. When I came to realize that it was not Islam, I decided to study about the religion and that led to my conversion. Now, I am really enjoying the beauty of Islam and am extremely delighted in Allah’s great blessing to guide me onto His path. It is an explicable experience for me.”

As for  members of the PVV that are not happy with his conversion, he has this to say:
“The party stands against Islam and its spreading in Europe. Some of them now consider me as a traitor.” [Snip]
“Let me tell them that this is my personal decision and I see a new life in Islam that I don’t want any way to give it up. I happened to see on social networking sites several comments, expressing feelings of antagonism and hatred toward me.”
According to Al Arabiya:

... he took a pledge in front of the grave of the Prophet (pbuh) that he would strive to spread his true message and his great qualities that are instrumental in promoting peace and harmonious relations among the people worldwide.

Promoting peace and harmonious relations among the people worldwide? Maybe they should start with each other. When they start getting along with fellow Muslims, when they stop killing each other (and us), when they stop foisting their religion down our throats, then maybe people will start to respect their religion.

The Dutch Ditch 1930s Blasphemy Law

It's hard to believe that there are still a slew of Western countries that still have blasphemy laws in their penal codes. Those laws don't belong in modern, free societies. It's not up to the court systems to punish people who blaspheme, that's up to the individual and his/her God, if they are believers. The West is not Pakistan (or any other Shariah compliant nation) with draconian, backward laws. This is the 21st century, and we need to start acting as if we live in a modern world.

At least the Dutch are on the right track. After a decade of trying, they've finally trashed their blasphemy law which was still on the books since the 1930s, though it had not used for fifty some odd years. Ironically, it was the conservative and far right parties in the Netherlands that wanted the law to remain intact. Their loss in the general elections this past September is credited for facilitating the lifting of the ban, along with Geert Wilders trial last year. According to Marc Veldt, of the University of Applied Sciences in Utrecht, says:

... the move to lift the ban on blasphemy was also an indirect result of the legal case involving anti-Islam Dutch politician Geert Wilders. In June 2011, a Dutch court ruled that Wilders had the right to criticize Islam, even though his opinions insulted many Muslims.

Wilders, who leads the Freedom Party, had described Islam as "fascist" and compared Islam's holy book, the Koran, to Adolf Hitler's autobiography and political manifesto "Mein Kampf." Amsterdam judge Marcel van Oosten said Wilders' statements were directed at Islam and not at Muslims. Van Oosten said the statements were "gross and denigrating" but still "acceptable within the context of public debate."

Wilders said at the time that the verdict was "not only an acquittal for me, but a victory for freedom of expression in the Netherlands."

The Netherlands still retains hate speech laws, however, and some Western countries have replaced old (Christian) blasphemy laws with revamped versions, like England with its law "against incitement to religious hatred."  Ireland took it one step further:

Ireland introduced a new law in 2010 that makes blasphemy a crime punishable by a fine of up to 25,000 euros ($32,485). The Irish law defines blasphemy as "publishing or uttering matter that is grossly abusive or insulting in relation to matters sacred by any religion thereby intentionally causing outrage among a substantial number of adherents of that religion, with some defenses permitted."
That's a hefty fine, and if Ireland has any similar organization to the U.S. Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), anyone critical of Islam better watch out.

Many are advocating getting rid of all blasphemy laws, with good reason.  Padraig Reidy of London-based "Index on Censorship" says:

... blasphemy laws are no longer relevant in the 21st century. He says there is no place for a law defending religion, which he calls an "ideal." He says it should be people who have rights, not ideals.
"There's no question that blasphemy laws are a severe restriction on free speech. Any push back against blasphemy laws -- [against the notion that ideas] should be protected -- is a good thing. It's very important that blasphemy laws should be repealed," Reidy says.

On the other hand you have the Organization of Islamic  Cooperation (OIC) pushing for a global blasphemy law, because they have no clue about the notion of free speech.

If we want to ensure that those of us who are critical of radical Islam, or any religion for that matter, continue to have the freedom to do so, then we need to make sure that every Western country that still has blasphemy laws on the books throws them out.  And we must fight any organizations or special interest groups that try to make criticism of a religion a crime. There is a difference between criticism and inciting to religious hatred.  Blasphemy laws belong in another century, not this one.

Geert Wilders Needs Our Help

Dutch politician Geert Wilders, producer of the film FITNA, defender of free speech and major anti-jihad promoter is in need of major funds in the upcoming Dutch elections. Blazing Cat Fur alerted me to the Gates of Vienna post regarding this. If you are so inclined to post or donate, the info is as follows:

Urgent: Geert Needs Our Help
by Baron Bodissey

As you all know, Geert Wilders and the Partij voor de Vrijheid (Party for Freedom) are running in next month’s general elections in the Netherlands. Unlike all the other Dutch political parties (and most other European parties), the PVV is self-funded and receives no government subsidy.

In the last two years Mr. Wilders has become the de facto leader of the European Counterjihad, and his success will have great importance far beyond the borders of his own country.

Ten thousand ordinary people giving a few bucks each can make up for the lack of government money or wealthy donors. Those who want to help may use the Paypal button for donations at the Geert Wilders website.

A PVV member emailed us this morning and requested our help getting the word out. The party’s appeal is below, and I’ve added an image in case anybody wants to use it. Please spread the word and help this message go viral:

Geert Wilders Needs Your Help Urgently

With four weeks to go before the general elections in the Netherlands, Geert Wilders and the Party for Freedom are now engaged in a life-and-death struggle against the forces of jihad. In the last couple of years Geert Wilders has emerged as the international symbol of the struggle against Islam.

The Party for Freedom (PVV) refuses government subsidy in order to remain independent. All other Dutch parties receive government money. Therefore, the PVV is facing a serious challenge in order to survive this election season. Dutch state television is engaged in a massive campaign to smear the PVV.

The Party for Freedom needs your help urgently. Every donation is welcome.

The Death Of Free Speech: Geert Wilders' Anti-Islamization Film "Fitna" Pulled After Threats

Not many, but some do get it, in Europe. Those with enough awareness and foresight to envision the adverse affects the threat that global Islamization will have on the free world as we see it today. Those few brave souls who have the courage to do something about it, and at great personal risk. Those who refuse to allow themselves to succumb to fear or complacency or inertia. One such person is Dutch politician Geert Wilders. He just produced a powerful video entitled "Fitna" which highlights the barbarity of the darker aspects of Islam. And there are many. Quoting Surahs from the Koran, there are graphic and harrowing images of 9/11, the bombings in Spain and London, a beheading, along with preaching of hate from mainstream Imams across the globe. There are photographs of demonstrators with placards boldly stating "Islam Will Dominate The World". And these are not terrorists, or small factions of extremists, these are ordinary Brits and other European Muslims proudly carrying those signs that call for death to all "infidels".

Liveleak.com was the only source that was brave enough to host Wilders' film, no-one else dared. I had the opportunity to watch it a few nights ago, before it was unceremoniously pulled from their servers. Why? Because of serious threats to staff members. One can only assume those threats originated from the Muslim world. It has happened before, and obviously will happen again. If you click on the video below, what was once the film is now an official notice indicating why they can no longer safely allow it to remain on their servers. This is indeed a tragic day for freedom of speech, and just serves as a gross reminder of what we are actually dealing with, and what we have to look forward to.

Any religious ideology that calls for world domination, that resorts to violence and threats of death to achieve those ends, is not a religion but an aberration. Sorry, but there is no one religion that holds the franchise on God. God belongs to all, not just the Muslims, and until they decide they are willing to share Him, that they can play in the global sandbox we call earth with their non-Muslim brethren, in a civilized manner, I will continue to criticize and raise my voice in anger.

I will defend my right to worship as I please! I will NOT submit! And I will NOT be silenced!

UPDATE 3/29/08:

Here's a transcript of the film and it is now on youtube, although who knows for how long.

UPDATE 4/1/08

The video is back up and running, but apparently a modified version is in the works, sans the cartoon.
