Dutch Muslim Mayor Tells Muslims Who Don't Want Freedom- "F**k Off" "Pack your bags and leave"

The Moroccan-born mayor of Rotterdam, Ahmed Aboutaleb, got it right when he told fellow Muslims in the Netherlands that if they don't want the freedom that is part and parcel of living in the West, then  "pack your bags and leave."  He came out with that pithy remark right after the Charlie Hebdo massacre in Paris. he also told them to eff-off.

According to the U.K. Daily Mail, Aboutaleb was quoted as saying on live Dutch TV:

“It is incomprehensible that you can turn against freedom." “But if you don’t like freedom, for heaven’s sake pack your bags and leave.”

“..and if you can't accept humorists who create a newspaper, then I would like to say f*** off.”

This is stupid, this so incomprehensible. Vanish from the Netherlands if you cannot find your place here. All those well-meaning Muslims here will now be stared at'.
53-year-old Aboutaleb was a journalist before eventually becoming mayor in 2008.

His message to immigrants:
'stop seeing yourself as victims, and if you don't want to integrate, leave'.

Yes. His is a voice of reason. We need more Aboutalebs. Though who knows how long he'll last being this outspoken.

Dutch Mother Rescues Jihadist Daughter From ISIS

So, Monique, this Dutch mum, treks on over to Raqqa, Syria, to retrieve her Muslim convert daughter Aicha after she traveled there to join ISIS. Aicha allegedly changed her mind, but can you really trust a radicalised Muslim?  I certainly wouldn't.

Both daughter and mum were arrested in Turkey because daughter has no passport.  Mum could also face criminal charges upon her return to Holland, since "provision of assistance" to terrorists is a crime.

Dutch Biker Gang Members Fighting With Kurds Against ISIS

The Kurds in Northern Iraq are getting help from an unlikely source- Dutch motorcycle gang members. Granted, there aren't many of them, but it's something.

Though it's illegal for Dutch nationals to join any foreign army, let alone a terrorist organization like the Islamic State, Dutch authorities have said the bikers are not committing a crime, so they are being allowed to help battle ISIS.

“Joining a foreign armed force was previously punishable, now it’s no longer forbidden,” public prosecutor spokesman Wim de Bruin told AFP.

“You just can’t join a fight against the Netherlands,” he told AFP after reports emerged that Dutch bikers from the No Surrender gang were fighting ISIS insurgents alongside Kurds in northern Iraq.

The head of No Surrender, Klaas Otto, told state broadcaster NOS that three members who travelled to near Mosul in northern Iraq were from Dutch cities Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Breda.

A photograph on a Dutch-Kurdish Twitter account shows a tattooed Dutchman called Ron in military garb, holding a Kalashnikov assault rifle while sat with a Kurdish comrade.

Video footage apparently from a Kurdish broadcaster shows an armed European man with Kurdish fighters saying in Dutch: “The Kurds have been under pressure for a long time.”

The Netherlands, like other European countries are trying to prevent their citizens from joining ISIS- warning of prosecution should they choose to return- if not killed- and taking away passports so they are unable to travel in the first place.

“The big difference with ISIS is that it’s listed as a terrorist group,” said De Bruin.
“That means that even preparing to join ISIS is punishable.”

Although they can fight with some Kurds, they are not allowed to fight with the blacklisted Terrorist-designated Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).

Geert Wilders' Solution To The ISIS/Radical Islam Problem In The Netherlands

Geert Wilders gave an impressive speech to the Dutch parliament with a workable solution for the ISIS/Radical Islam war against the rest of the world, at least when it comes to his country.

In the video he blames the 'elite' for the current trouble with Muslims in the Netherlands, admonishing them for wasting 10 plus years doing nothing about the problem. And there seems to be a major one. Wilders tells them:

"According to a study 73% of all Moroccans and Turks in the Netherlands are of the opinion that those who go to Syria to fight in the jihad are "heroes"- people to be admired."

After 9/11 he says that:

"..three-quarters of the Muslims in the Netherlands condoned this atrocity."
According to Wilders, that's hundreds of thousands of Muslims condoning terrorism in his country, and calls it a ticking time bomb.

He then Quotes from the Quran to prove his point that the Quran is a handbook for terrorists, and a "hunting permit" for millions of Muslims. Essentially "A license to kill."

Surah 8, Verse 60:

Prepare to strike terror into the hearts of the enemies of Allah.
Surah 47, Verse 4:

Therefore, when ye meet the unbelievers, smite at their necks.

Surah 4, Verse 89:

So take not friends from the ranks of the unbelievers, seize them and kill them wherever ye find them.
He says this is not a clash of civilizations, but rather a clash between barbarism and civilization.

At the 7:53 mark on the video he comes up with his solution.

Watch the video here.

Definitely worth a watch. He's a brave man.

Irony Alert- Anti-Zionist Neturei Karta Rabbi Attacked By Muslim In Amsterdam

How ironic. A 50-year-old Neturei Karta rabbi, Yosef Antebi, was the victim of a hate crime in Amsterdam. Apparently, a man who appeared to be Muslim stopped his car while Antebi was walking down the street, and proceeded to insult and then attack him.

According to a friend of the rabbi:

“As he was walking down the street, a car stopped next to him, and a man who appeared to be a Muslim immigrant came out. The immigrant started shouting anti-Jewish slurs at the rabbi. Rabbi Antebi is anti-Zionist, he does not advocate for war in the Middle East but he was identified as a Zionist. The Muslim started yelling at him and threatening him, and the rabbi noticed that the immigrant was going to attack him.”

“He tried to escape, and the Muslim [man] began to run after him, caught him and started kicking him in the stomach and lungs. “He felt that he could not breathe, collapsed, began to vomit blood, while the immigrant spat on him. After the attacker fled the scene, Rabbi Antebi recovered a bit and managed to photograph him.”
[With his cellphone]
Antebi was hospitalized with internal bleeding and some broken ribs.

The irony, of course, is that Neturei Karta are anti-Zionists.  Some representatives even attended Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's Holocaust Deniers Tehran Conference in 2006. In fact, they are very similar to Muslims in the way they treat their women, and their desire for Israel to be wiped off the map. The head of the Neturei Karta, Rabbi Meir Hirsch, has said as much.

I doubt this will change Antebi's attitude towards Israel and his fellow Jews.

Dutch Talk Show Host Breastfeeds From Stranger

You can count on the Dutch to push the envelope of decency when it comes to entertainment.  In 2011 two co-hosts of a Dutch TV show cannibalized each other. Valerio Zeno and Dennis Storm of the show “Proefkonijnen” ("Test Rabbits" in English) wanted to know what human flesh tasted like, so they allegedly tried it.

“We went to the butcher, the surgeon and the studio, then we looked at each other and just ate it,” Storm said. “The special thing is, it was his flesh, of course.” There were no fava beans and chianti. Not even spices, just human flesh cooked medium rare. “The chef cooked it in a frying pan with sunflower oil. We didn’t add any salt or pepper because we wanted to know what it tasted like.”
“The punchline of the show is to get really simple answers on stupid questions, such as, ‘Can you shave with ketchup’ or ‘can you drive blind?’” Storm said. “And we wanted to find out how human flesh tasted.”

Now we have Dutch talk show host Paul de Leeuw taking a hike down that same road of bad taste.  He was interviewing some mothers who are part of a group that shares breast milk, when he decided he wanted to sample some himself.  Not from the bottle offered by one of the mothers, but directly from her breasts. Both of them. The woman seemed very happy to oblige. He liked the second one best, though he mentions he could tell she had eaten asparagus.

Ick.

Here's the video, in Dutch.

Geert Wilders' Ex-Colleague Turned Muslim, To Produce Mohammed Film

I truly do not understand the appeal of Islam to a Westerner, particularly a female. There are many ways of finding God and living a good spiritual life without having to go to such extremes. But somehow, it does appeal. To many. And sometimes to the most unlikely of converts. Take Arnoud Van Doorn, the Dutch politician who used to be a member of Geert Wilders far-right Freedom Party (PVV), until he converted to Islam. Apparently, he was even involved in producing the film FITNA, which caused an uproar for equating Islam with violence back in 2008.  But, Van Doorn, for some bizarre reason, was drawn to Islam and has just made a trip to Saudi Arabia for his first pilgrimage after converting this year.  Not the Hajj.  Yet. But a pilgrimage nonetheless.

Arnoud said of his Umrah:

“If any person told me that I will visit the land of the two holy shrines, I would have told him that he must be insane."
"But what happened now is realization of a dream and it is still unbelievable for me that I am now in the holy city that hosted the Prophet (pbuh). I couldn’t control my feelings when I stood in front of the grave of the Prophet (pbuh) as well as in Rawdah Sharif, near the pulpit used by the Prophet (pbuh). When I prayed at Rawdah Sharaif, my eyes were full of tears as I had the feeling that I am in a part of the Paradise.”
“Finding Islam is a dream came true,” a tearful Doorn added.
Doorn, a member of the far-right Freedom Party (PVV) has embraced Islam earlier this year after an extensive study into the religion.

Apparently Doorn's interest was piqued after Muslims balked at the film.

Now, as penance for being such a bad Islamophobe, he is planning on producing a film about Islam and Mohammed, in association with the Canadian Dawah Association (CDA). The CDA was instrumental in getting him to convert to Islam, or revert as Muslims like to call it, since they believe all humans were born Muslim.

Since converts are often more zealous about their new found religion, Doorn hopes to dedicate his life to proselytizing.

“I will spare no efforts to protect the rights of Muslims in all European countries as well as to serve Islam and its followers throughout the world. I will try my best to repair the damage that I caused to Islam and its Prophet through the film ‘Fitna’."
As for repairing the damage that the film caused:

“I will use all my experience in producing an alternative film, which will speak about the true image of Islam and all aspects of the personality of the Prophet as well as his great qualities.”
As for his involvement in the film FITNA and his ultimate conversion:

“It was unfortunate that I did not make any efforts to know what really Islam is and who is the Prophet before blindly believing in the misinformation campaign being unleashed by the anti-Islamic forces. When I came to realize that it was not Islam, I decided to study about the religion and that led to my conversion. Now, I am really enjoying the beauty of Islam and am extremely delighted in Allah’s great blessing to guide me onto His path. It is an explicable experience for me.”

As for  members of the PVV that are not happy with his conversion, he has this to say:
“The party stands against Islam and its spreading in Europe. Some of them now consider me as a traitor.” [Snip]
“Let me tell them that this is my personal decision and I see a new life in Islam that I don’t want any way to give it up. I happened to see on social networking sites several comments, expressing feelings of antagonism and hatred toward me.”
According to Al Arabiya:

... he took a pledge in front of the grave of the Prophet (pbuh) that he would strive to spread his true message and his great qualities that are instrumental in promoting peace and harmonious relations among the people worldwide.

Promoting peace and harmonious relations among the people worldwide? Maybe they should start with each other. When they start getting along with fellow Muslims, when they stop killing each other (and us), when they stop foisting their religion down our throats, then maybe people will start to respect their religion.

The Dutch Raise Terror Threat Level With Returning Jihadist Fighters

At least 100 Dutch men are fighting as jihadists in Somalia and Afghanistan, but the bulk have joined forces with the Islamist militant group Jabhat Al-Nusra Front in Syria. Al-Nusra wants to turn secular Syria into an Islamic state and has been designated a terror organization by the U.S.

Because of the involvement of these Dutch citizens, the Netherlands has upped the terror threat for the country from "limited" to "substantial".

"The number of those jihadists travelling from the Netherlands to Syria has rapidly increased," the National Counterterrorist and Safety Coordinator (NCTV) said in a statement.
"There is a risk that those who travel for jihad pick up experience in conflict areas and upon return to the Netherlands form a threat because they could come back radicalised, traumatised and willing to commit violence," the government's anti-terror body said.
The threat of an attack against the Netherlands or its overseas interests has grown, prompting the NCTV "to increase the threat level from limited to substantial," it added.

Read the rest here.

The Dutch aren't the only ones frightened about the return of radicalised fighters, so is France and Germany, and I would think England should be just as worried.

The Dutch Ditch 1930s Blasphemy Law

It's hard to believe that there are still a slew of Western countries that still have blasphemy laws in their penal codes. Those laws don't belong in modern, free societies. It's not up to the court systems to punish people who blaspheme, that's up to the individual and his/her God, if they are believers. The West is not Pakistan (or any other Shariah compliant nation) with draconian, backward laws. This is the 21st century, and we need to start acting as if we live in a modern world.

At least the Dutch are on the right track. After a decade of trying, they've finally trashed their blasphemy law which was still on the books since the 1930s, though it had not used for fifty some odd years. Ironically, it was the conservative and far right parties in the Netherlands that wanted the law to remain intact. Their loss in the general elections this past September is credited for facilitating the lifting of the ban, along with Geert Wilders trial last year. According to Marc Veldt, of the University of Applied Sciences in Utrecht, says:

... the move to lift the ban on blasphemy was also an indirect result of the legal case involving anti-Islam Dutch politician Geert Wilders. In June 2011, a Dutch court ruled that Wilders had the right to criticize Islam, even though his opinions insulted many Muslims.

Wilders, who leads the Freedom Party, had described Islam as "fascist" and compared Islam's holy book, the Koran, to Adolf Hitler's autobiography and political manifesto "Mein Kampf." Amsterdam judge Marcel van Oosten said Wilders' statements were directed at Islam and not at Muslims. Van Oosten said the statements were "gross and denigrating" but still "acceptable within the context of public debate."

Wilders said at the time that the verdict was "not only an acquittal for me, but a victory for freedom of expression in the Netherlands."

The Netherlands still retains hate speech laws, however, and some Western countries have replaced old (Christian) blasphemy laws with revamped versions, like England with its law "against incitement to religious hatred."  Ireland took it one step further:

Ireland introduced a new law in 2010 that makes blasphemy a crime punishable by a fine of up to 25,000 euros ($32,485). The Irish law defines blasphemy as "publishing or uttering matter that is grossly abusive or insulting in relation to matters sacred by any religion thereby intentionally causing outrage among a substantial number of adherents of that religion, with some defenses permitted."
That's a hefty fine, and if Ireland has any similar organization to the U.S. Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), anyone critical of Islam better watch out.

Many are advocating getting rid of all blasphemy laws, with good reason.  Padraig Reidy of London-based "Index on Censorship" says:

... blasphemy laws are no longer relevant in the 21st century. He says there is no place for a law defending religion, which he calls an "ideal." He says it should be people who have rights, not ideals.
"There's no question that blasphemy laws are a severe restriction on free speech. Any push back against blasphemy laws -- [against the notion that ideas] should be protected -- is a good thing. It's very important that blasphemy laws should be repealed," Reidy says.

On the other hand you have the Organization of Islamic  Cooperation (OIC) pushing for a global blasphemy law, because they have no clue about the notion of free speech.

If we want to ensure that those of us who are critical of radical Islam, or any religion for that matter, continue to have the freedom to do so, then we need to make sure that every Western country that still has blasphemy laws on the books throws them out.  And we must fight any organizations or special interest groups that try to make criticism of a religion a crime. There is a difference between criticism and inciting to religious hatred.  Blasphemy laws belong in another century, not this one.

The Netherlands To Ban Muslim Face Veils In 2013

The Netherlands, one of the most liberal, progressive countries in the world- where prostitution is legal and drugs, like marijuana, are tolerated- has decided to join France in banning Muslim face veils. As of next year, anything that covers the face, like burqas and niqabs, will be verboten in public.

There are approximately 1 million Muslims in a country that has a population of 17 million, and they've been pretty much left to their own devices. Because of the Netherlands's lax and permissive attitude towards everything, there are an abundance of mosques, some of which preach radical Islam. I can't imagine they're going to be very happy about the decision. Remember Theo Van Gogh, the Dutch filmmaker who was slaughtered like an animal in 2004 by a 26-year-old Dutch Islamist of Moroccan heritage because he was offended by the short film "Submission" that Van Gogh and Ayaan Hirsi Ali  had produced?   He was shot eight times, his throat slit, and then Mohammed Bouyeri rammed a five page note to Van Gogh's body with a knife.  All because "Submission" dared broach the subject of abuse against women in Islam.

Written in Dutch, the bloody letter called Hirsi Ali an “infidel fundamentalist” who “terrorizes Islam” and “marches with the soldiers of evil.” With her “hostilities,” she “unleashed a boomerang and it’s just a matter of time before this boomerang will seal your destiny.” In capital letters it said: “AYAAN HIRSI ALI, YOU WILL SMASH YOURSELF ON ISLAM!” The letter ended with a kind of chant: “I know for sure that you, O America, are going to meet with disaster. I know for sure that you, O Europe, are going to meet with disaster. I know for sure that you, O Holland, are going to meet with disaster.”

The face veil isn't the only thing on the chopping block. According to Deputy Prime Minister Maxime Verhagen, motorcycle helmets and balaclavas (those ski masks that criminals like to wear) will also be banned in places they shouldn't be worn, like stores, so they're hoping it won't be seen as a religious ban aimed at Muslims. The interior affairs ministry said,

“People should be able to look at each other’s faces and recognize each other when they meet.”

The ban should only affect around 100 to 400 or so women, since the headscarf is more commonly worn than the niqab or burqa.

If someone is caught with their face covered, they could face a fine of up to $510.00, that's if the law is approved. The ban won't affect the use of a face veil in a church or mosque, or on airplanes. Nor will Santa Clauses or Halloween costumes be banned.
