Simone O'Broin -Anti-Israel BDS Lawyer Arrested After Drunken-Fueled Racist Rant on Air India

Simone O'Broin- a 50-year-old Irish human rights attorney for the Boycott Israel movement (BDS)- just showed her true colors in a drunken foul-mouthed racist rant while traveling Business Class on Air India from Mumbai to London. Already totally besotted she was furious that the crew refused to give her more wine.

Telling the crew members- who remained remarkably calm and collected- that she was:

“a barrister, human rights lawyer and international criminal lawyer for the f---ing Palestinian people.”
--Calling a female crew member an “Indian f---ing money-grabbing b-----d.”
--Telling a male staffer, “I’m working for all you people, the f---ing Rohingyas … the f---ing people of all nations [other news sources transcribed it as Asia], for you. International criminal lawyer. Don’t get any money for it by the way. But you won’t give me a f---ing glass of wine, is that correct?”
--Identifying herself as “leader of the f---ing boycott movement” and adding, “if I say ‘boycott f---ing Air India,’ Done!”
--Berating fellow business-class passengers – again using expletives – for not speaking up for her.
Apparently this went on for 5 hours. Not being allowed to smoke contributed to her meltdown.

She was arrested upon arrival.

South African Anti-Israel Protesters Chant To Exterminate The Jews

At an anti-Israel protest in Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa, call for the annihilation of the Jews.

The protesters start with glorifying martyrdom ("shahidim") and follow with praising the Hamas terror organisation. Protesters donning the headband war garb of the jihad, the keffiyeh, and chant the Islamic death dirge, “Khaybar, Khaybar, ya yahud", jaish Muhammad sayahud.” The threat of Khaybar is the threat of extermination, hearkening back to Muhammad’s annihilation of an entire tribe of Jews.
The yellow Hezbollah flag and PLO flag are clearly visible.

South African Muslim Student Calls BDS Activists Jew Haters

Not all Muslims support the Boycott Israel movement. In fact there are some who believe the BDS movement is actually harming the Palestinian people.

After Bassem Eid, a Palestinian human rights activist, started criticizing the boycott movement at a debate at the University of Johannesburg, BDS activists started threatening him, and calling him "a liar and a sell-out." University security had to evacuate him from the lecture hall.

The event was organized by the SA Union of Jewish Students as part of a program to debate the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. A meeting with the university will be held shortly to discuss the incident, the press release stated.

“It is especially telling that BDS disrupted a speech by a Palestinian human rights activist that was sharing his experiences and thoughts for peace, making it evident that peace is less on their agenda than is forcing others to abide by their intolerant agenda,” the statement by the Jewish Board of Deputies read.

In February, the student representative council at the Durban University of Technology in South Africa urged the institution’s management to expel its Jewish students, especially those who don’t support the Palestinian cause.

Like Bassem Eid, there are other Muslims who can separate Israeli policies that they might not agree with from the Jewish people themselves.

One young Muslim student who was at the lecture pleads with supporters of Israel to continue their support, and calls out the BDS activists as Jew haters.

Watch the video of the young woman here on YouTube.

Bassem Eid is the same activist who has called on Palestinians to get rid of Hamas.

Miss Israel, Miss Lebanon Selfie Causes Backlash

Politicizing sports, beauty and art events- how pathetic. But it happens all the time, and usually involves Israel. In this case it's the Miss Universe contest in Miami, Florida, where a selfie taken by Miss Israel (Doron Matalon) with Miss Lebanon (Saly Greige) has caused a firestorm of criticism. Of course it's the Lebanese who are up in arms, some want her to lose her title for daring to be photographed with an Israeli, and it has Greige trying to defend herself in a not-so positive way.
Jumping to her own defense, Greige said on social media that Miss Israel -Doron Matalon - had “repeatedly” attempted to take photos with her, effectively “photobombing” the selfie.

“From the first day I arrived at the Miss Universe pageant I was very careful not to take any pictures with Miss Israel, who tried repeatedly to take pictures with me,” she said, according to the el-Nashra fan entertainment website.

“While I was preparing with Miss Slovania and Miss Japan to get our photograph taken, Miss Israel jumped in and took a selfie with her phone and posted it on social media.”

She continued: "This is what happened and I hope to have your full support in the Miss Universe contest".
Greige even cropped Miss Israel out of the photo.

Matalon, on the other hand, took the high road. She claims she didn't photobomb Miss Lebanon, that "it wasn't a surprise."  She just wanted to reach out, even for a moment.

"I hope for change, and I hope for peace between us; even just for three weeks, even just between me and her," Matalon said.
"That's what we need to remember: we represent the country and the people, not the government and not the political issues."
And:

"It doesn't surprise me, but it still makes me sad. Too bad you can not put the hostility out of the game, only for three weeks of an experience of a lifetime."

She's right.

Lebanon's hatred for Israel stems from the 2006 war against Hezbollah (a terrorist organization) where 1,200 people were killed versus 160 Israelis. Lebanese casualties were mostly civilians, Israel mostly soldiers. Important to note, Hezbollah started the conflict by firing rockets at Israeli border towns.

Boycott Israel Bozos Protest Ferguson In Seattle

Guess who showed up at a Seattle protest rally after the Ferguson, Missouri verdict?   A bunch of Boycott Israel bozos- because, of course, the Ferguson verdict has everything to do with Jews and Israel.

They were members of the Palestine Solidarity Committee.

Video- Anti-Israel Protestors Target Sabra Hummus

This video of a bunch of pro-Palestine, anti-Israel BDS protesters, demonstrates just how simpleminded and ignorant they are.

Dan Joseph of MRCTV interviews a bunch of them protesting the Sabra Hummus restaurant in Georgetown, Washington D.C., asking which is more dangerous Hamas or Hummus.

I'm sure I don't need to tell you what the response was. It is amusing though, in a pathetic, scary way.

Boycott Israel Hits Brazilian Art Scene

Looks like the Boycott Israel movement has hit Brazil. ISIS is spreading like cancer, bringing with it death and destruction, but artists in Sao Paulo, Brazil, are more concerned about dissing Israel which engaged in a war (not genocide) to protect its citizens. And those citizens don't happen to be only Jews.

Apparently, the Israeli consulate in Sao Paolo donated $40,000 to the 31st Art Biennial- as sponsors- and over 50 artists are demanding that the money be returned.

The biennial, which started in 1951 and is the second oldest art biennial in the world after Venice, dating back to 1895, is scheduled to open its doors next Saturday.

[snip]

An artist from Ramallah, Ruanne Abou-Rahme, due to exhibit at the show with fellow Palestinian Basel Abbas, was among some 60 signatories to an open letter to organizers, prompting Globo daily Saturday to dub the event the "Biennial of conflict."

Three Israeli artists are set to feature with around 70 participants in total at this year's event. The exhibition's website shows the Israeli consulate, which could not be reached for comment Saturday, as a sponsor.

The Consul-general Yoel Barnea said:

"We are democratic -- there are different points of view in our country," said Barnea, adding he did not want to see culture and politics mix. He insisted the sponsorship would not be withdrawn and that he planned to attend the show.
There was no word as to whether the artists would actually boycott.

Is it so hard to keep politics out of the arts and sports?

Singer Bryan Adams Proud Israel Hater

You can add Canadian rocker Bryan Adams to the list of  I hate Israel celebs, and his Twitter supporters are ecstatic.

On August 9 he wrote:
Bryan Adams @bryanadams · Aug 9
Mr. Prime Minister, @pmharper, The UK PM is sending 20M in aid to #Gaza. Where is Canada's support for the Palestinian people? #gazachildren

Adams responded with the following after several people questioned whose side he was on, although it's kind of obvious.

Bryan Adams ✔ @bryanadams
@southernstacy @SoulM8dSunshine I can't speak for others, I only speak for myself: I say the war against Gaza was a crime against humanity

And then this to the same two when they questioned him about the three young Israelis who were killed in the West Bank- which was one of the mitigating factors in Israel's was with Gaza:

Bryan Adams ✔ @bryanadamsFollow@southernstacy @SoulM8dSunshine it was never proved who was responsible, and it's not justification for murdering 2000+ people...541 kids.

Then referring to the blockade.

Bryan Adams ✔ @bryanadamsFollow@southernstacy @SoulM8dSunshine ..and the Israeli blockade of #Gaza just entered its 8th year, leaving its 1.7 million inhabitants destitute7:06 PM - 19 Aug 2014
No mention of Egypt's blockade.  I tweeted him about that, and asked if he has opined about the genocide in Iraq and Syria by ISIS. No response.

Then there's the self-loathing Jew piping in with her support.

Chavaleh @ChavaBallFollow@bryanadams thank u so much for speaking out for Gaza and Palestine! I'm Jewish and we MUST speak out agnst Israeli war crimes! #freegaza7:32 AM - 24 Aug 2014
War crimes?  Why aren't these people crying out about what's happening to thousands of Yazidis, Christians and other Muslim minorities in Iraq and elsewhere.

The fools just don't get it.

Hollywood Stars Sign Pro-Israel Statement Condemning Hamas

The Boycott Israel (BDS) movement has its celebrities including Emma Thompson, Danny Glover, Roger Waters, Russell Brand, Stephen Hawking, Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem, Alice Walker and a slew of others. Some have just bowed to the pressure of BDSers and cancelled appearances and visits to Israel, others have signed petitions and actively condemned Israel for doing what it has every right to do- defend its citizens from Hamas aggression and violence.

Cruz and Bardem recently signed a letter condemning Israel, calling what was happening in Gaza genocide, now some pro-Israel celebs have signed their own statement calling for an end to "singling out" Israel.

Among those almost 200 Hollywood stars and execs signing the statement were Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Seth Rogen, Sherry Lansing and:

Sarah Silverman, Minnie Driver, Ziggy Marley, Kelsey Grammer, Tom Arnold, Benji Madden, director Ivan Reitman, writer Aaron Sorkin, producer Michael Rotenberg, composer Michael Nyman, producer Haim Saban, Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun.

Initiated by the Creative Community For Peace (CCFP) the petition condemns Hamas for its "ideologies of hatred", as well as efforts to boycott Israel.

The full Statement:

We, the undersigned, are saddened by the devastating loss of life endured by Israelis and Palestinians in Gaza. We are pained by the suffering on both sides of the conflict and hope for a solution that brings peace to the region.

While we stand firm in our commitment to peace and justice, we must also stand firm against ideologies of hatred and genocide which are reflected in Hamas’ charter, Article 7 of which reads, “There is a Jew hiding behind me, come on and kill him!” The son of a Hamas founder has also commented about the true nature of Hamas.

Hamas cannot be allowed to rain rockets on Israeli cities, nor can it be allowed to hold its own people hostage. Hospitals are for healing, not for hiding weapons. Schools are for learning, not for launching missiles. Children are our hope, not our human shields.

We join together in support of the democratic values we all cherish and in the hope that the healing and transformative power of the arts can be used to build bridges of peace.

Good for them. It's about time. But check out the comments on the link below.  Anti-Semitism is alive and well in the USA.

Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem Condemn Israel's Genocide In Gaza

Actress Penelope Cruz and her actor hubby Javier Bardem, along with film director Pedro Almodovar and several other Spanish entertainment names, have signed an 'open letter' protesting Israel's incursion into Gaza, calling it "genocide."  Calling what is happening in Gaza 'genocide' is as ignorant as calling Israel an apartheid state, neither of which are true, but they're actors, after all, ruled more by emotion than intellect.

The actors demanded a stronger response by the European Union to stop the military operation that has so far killed more than 1,200 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Civilians, including many children, have made up the majority of those killed in the offensive that Israel says is necessary to stop Hamas firing rockets at its cities.

The letter, printed by Europa Press and other Spanish news outlets, reads: "Gaza is living through horror these days, besieged and attacked by land, sea and air.

"Palestinians' homes are being destroyed, they are being denied water, electricity [and] free movement to their hospitals, schools and fields while the international community does nothing."
Of course, no cognizance or acknowledgment of the fact that Hamas flagrantly uses Gazans as human shields, or that Hamas actually encouraged Gazan citizens to ignore the  IDF's warnings to evacuate the area, leading to more casualties than might have occurred had they fled.

Labelling the Israeli military the "Israel Occupation Forces", it demanded an immediate ceasefire and urged Israel to "lift the blockade, which the Gaza Strip has suffered for more than a decade".
It blamed the latest hostilities on Israel’s advancement into Palestinian territories instead of observing the 1967 borders pre-dating the Six-Day War.
The latest hostilities are a result of a non-stop bombardment of rockets launched by Hamas into Israeli territory. And demanding the lifting of the blockade? How come they don't demand Egypt do the same thing? And the Israelis would be idiots to do that considering Hamas wants to annihilate Israel, it says as much in the Charter.

Others who signed their names to the letter were some lesser known actors and musicians:

Benito Zambrano, actors Lola Herrera, Eduardo Noriega and Rosa Maria Sarda and two musicians, Amaral and Nacho Campillo.

64 Years Of Chinese Occupation In Tibet - Video

China invaded Tibet in 1950. During the last 64 years of  'occupation' the Tibetans have suffered greatly at the hands of the Chinese. Oppressed and suppressed, over one million people have lost their lives. Self-immolation is common, and there are more ethnic Chinese there now, than Tibetans.

"There have been reports of cultural, economic, religious and political oppression for decades."

Flying a Tibetan flag or shouting "Free Tibet" can get you arrested.

China, of course, denies it all, and world leaders rarely bring the issue of occupation to the table when meeting with Chinese leaders. They're too afraid to ruffle feathers of what has become an emerging super power.

Ironically, those who are quick to rule Israelis as occupiers remain relatively mum about the Chinese occupation of Tibet, which truly is an occupation. The only Hollywood-type to come to mind is Richard Gere, who has long been involved in the Free Tibet movement. On the other hand, the Boycott Israel movement  (BDS) has a very long list of Hollywood supporters.

Then there are the fools who compare what is happening in Tibet to what they believe is happening in Israel, and many of those are not liberals. But there is no comparison.

Why haven't they created a Boycott China movement?  Because, I believe, the whole Boycott Israel movement has more to do with rampant anti-Semitism than it does any so-called occupation.

L.A. Comedy Club Cancels Jewish Show Because "They Don't Support Israel".

The Boycott Israel movement has hit the comedy circuit.  According to Jewish Canadian comedian Stephen Glickman, a comedy club in Burbank, California canceled a stand-up comedy show featuring various Jewish comedians- including Glickman - "because club management did not want its venue used to support Israel."  The show was scheduled for 7 p.m on Sunday night.

Glickman posted on Twitter:

“The Purim stand up show at @FlappersComedy has been cancelled because the owners said they do not support benefits that support Israel.”
“Everyone should have the right to believe what they want but a COMEDY CLUB being ANTI ISRAEL is disgraceful and as a Jewish man I am hurt!” .
Since the all-Jewish show was already scheduled, did the BDS movement pressure management to cancel?

No response from the comedy club, so we don't yet know its side of the story. And some individual commenting on The Algemeiner mentions that one of the owners is Jewish, as if that should negate claims of anti-Semitism.  There are many self-loathing Jews out there, some of whom I am very acquainted with.

Israel's Netanyahu Offers California Help With Its Extreme Drought Problem

Israel turned desert land into an oasis, California has a pretty nasty drought problem, so Israel has kindly offered to help alleviate California's problem. In an interview on Bloomberg Television, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said:

“California, I hear, has a big water problem. We in Israel don’t have a water problem. We use technology to solve it, in recycling, in desalination, in deep drip irrigation and so on. And these technologies could be used by the state of California to eliminate its chronic drought problem.”
If you look at a drought map of the U.S., California is one of the few states that has an "exceptional" or "extreme" drought problem.  In fact, 74% of the state. Some of the recent rain might have helped a tad, but it's still pretty darn dry.

California Governor Jerry Brown says he welcomes the help, but I wonder what all those Boycott Israel folks will have to say about that.

Bloomberg has more info on the amazing ways Israel has found ways to conquer the 60 percent of desert that makes up Israel.

Video: For The Boycott Israel Fools

For all the boycott Israel fools.. here's a clever video showing just how much they would have to do without if they truly were to boycott Israel.

Boycott Of Israel's SodaStream Could Hurt Palestinian Workers

The boycott Israel folk (BDS movement) have been targeting SodaStream, a machine that makes, well, soda, and it's been working. Apparently, they've lost money the last year, but so will many of the 900 or so Palestinians who work in the West Bank factory.  But the BDS movement, don't seem to care.

“SodaStream has always been a target of the BDS movement, and has developed into a major campaign since late 2011,” a BDS spokesperson told Al Arabiya News.
“We reject any suggestion that the reality that Palestinians are sometimes left with no choice but to work in illegal Israeli settlements is a reason not to take action to end international complicity in human rights violations,” the spokesperson added.

Maybe SodaStream, which has 20 manufacturing facilities worldwide, should just shut down the factory in the West Bank. Maybe that would make the stupid BDSers happy.

The company produced a video in December 2012 touting the benefits Palestinians gain from working there, including health insurance, and much better pay. Though the pro-Pali site The Electronic Intifada claims it's not true.  No surprise there.

And no surprise that uber-lefty organizations like CODEPINK support BDS.

However, SodaStream has tapped Scarlett Johansson to be  its "celebrity brand ambassador." That, of course, has caused a furor.

“It was very surprising that Scarlett Johansson has decided to become the new face of Israeli apartheid, especially given that she is also an Oxfam ambassador,” said the BDS spokesperson.
“We’re sure she'll soon realize that there's nothing green about Israeli apartheid.”

Meryl Streep Blasts Disney For Anti-Semitism While Praising Emma Thompson

The National Board of Review had its annual pre-Golden Globes dinner. Emma Thompson is up for a Best Actress award for Disney's "Saving Mr. Banks", where she plays P.L. Travers, the creator of "Mary Poppins," and Meryl Streep was there to heap praises on good 'ol Emma.  Meryl's 9 minute speech included a rant against Walt Disney himself for his anti-women, anti-Semitic stances, all the while calling Emma "practically a saint." Meryl even wrote a poem for her buddy Emma titled "An Ode to Emma, Or What Emma is Owed."

Calling Emma practically a saint all the while criticizing Disney for supporting anti-Semitic lobbying groups?  Doesn't Meryl know that Emma is queen of the anti-Israel Boycott and Divestment movement, which is just another form of anti-Semitism?

Meryl, Meryl.

Mahmoud Abbas Says No To Israel Boycott, American Professors Say Yes.

Believe it or not, Palestine's Mahmoud Abbas opposes boycotting Israel, how's that for a shocker. He took the opportunity to tell it to the world while he was at Nelson Mandela's funeral. No doubt actress Emma Thompson and all her BDS movement cronies are foaming at the mouth, pro-Palestinian and anti-Israel factions across the world, including the South African BDS movement, have already expressed outraged. Not surprising.

Of course, Abbas does support boycotting products from "illegal" Israeli settlements in the West Bank, just not Israel itself. In response to a question, Abbas said:

“No, we do not support the boycott of Israel." “But we ask everyone to boycott the products of the settlements. Because the settlements are in our territories. It is illegal. But we don’t ask anyone to boycott Israel itself. We have relations with Israel, we have mutual recognition of Israel.”

But on the heels of Abbas' anti-boycotting statement comes this: a group of around 5,000 American professors and scholars- members of the American Studies Association- voted 2 to 1 to boycott Israeli professors and academic institutions. The Association of Asian American Studies announced its boycott earlier this year.

Well what do you expect from liberal academia.

More here and here.

Ari Lesser's- "Boycott Israel" Song

According to Ari Lesser's Facebook page, he's a rapper, reggae singer and spoken word artist from Cleveland, Ohio.

In this song he talks about if you're going to boycott Israel, then you better boycott all the nations of the world with major human rights violations. I don't agree with a few of his examples, but it's a clever song. And he has a point. Not that it will make one whit of a difference to the BDS (Boycott Israel) movement.

Tunisia Banned From 2014 Davis Cup After Boycott Of Israeli Player

Politics has no place in the arts or sports, but it happens all the time. Tunisia is finding out the hard way. As of now, Tunisian players have been banned from competing in the 2014 Davis Cup competition after the Tunisian Tennis Federation told its top player Malek Jaziri to not play Israel's Amir Weintraub during a tournament in Tashkent last month.

Although Jaziri was cleared by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), the International Tennis Federation (ITF) was not so understanding, and rightfully so.

“The ITF Board of Directors found that the Tunisian Tennis Federation was in breach of the ITF Constitution by interfering with international sporting practice and ordering Tunisian player Malek Jaziri not to compete against Israeli player Amir Weintraub at the 2013 Tashkent Challenger in October."

“The Board was not satisfied with the case put forward by the Tunisian Tennis Federation and voted to suspend Tunisia from the 2014 Davis Cup competition.”
According to ITF President Francesco Ricci Bitti:

“There is no room for prejudice of any kind in sport or in society. The ITF Board decided to send a strong message to the Tunisian Tennis Federation that this kind of action will not be tolerated by any of our members.”
Way to go ITF.

More on the story here.
