Egyptian Islamic thinker and reformer Dr Tawfik Hamid claims Palestinian suffering is a result of Palestinian leadership- most notably Hamas, not Israel. And it's up to Palestinians to change that.

NFL's Reggie Bush Compares Ferguson To Palestine
Detroit Lions footballer Reggie Bush, who was Kim Kardashian's main squeeze for a while, is one of those fools who has likened Ferguson to the Gaza, Palestine problem.
He posted a photo on Instagram of an Arab-looking man, holding a banner that reads:
"The Palestinian People know what mean [sic] to be shot while unarmed because of your ethnicity. #Ferguson #Justice.”As expected he has both supporters and detractors.
He believes the Ferguson "problem" is a global one, and wrote the following to accompany the above mentioned photo:
“No matter who you are, what color skin you have, where you live, we are all in this together! This isn’t a Ferguson problem it’s a Global Problem! We need change NOW! What happened to humanity? #JusticeForMikeBrown”It has 16.8k likes.
Abraham H. Foxman from the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) jumped into the fray in an attempt to educate the idiot:
“The conflict between Israel and the Palestinians is not based on race, it is a political dispute based on claims to land.
“By conflating the death of Michael Brown with the conflict in the Middle East, Reggie Bush demonstrates a severe lack of understanding of both issues. He should stick to football."Addressing those who criticized him, Bush responded with another photo of a girl holding a sign that reads:
"Ferguson with love from Palestine."And the following explanation.
“This issue is a GLOBAL issue (I believe I said that already in one of my posts as well) as you can see."
“People all over the world have been affected by the unfortunate events that have taken place in Ferguson! I chose to take a stance on this issue because I'd rather have an opinion than to sit back and be quiet and say nothing at all! I wasn't expecting everyone to agree with me and I wasn't expecting everyone to like my posts!”
“…I wasn't expecting everyone to agree with me and I wasn't expecting everyone to like my posts! An [sic] unarmed young man lost his life period! And that's unfortunate! I don't know much about shooting people or getting shot but I do know if you shoot someone once in each leg (not 6-10 times) maybe even 3 times, chances are they will slow down! So my heart goes out to the family members of Mike Brown and anyone else that has gone through similar or worse tragedy!”
Go educate yourself Reggie, before you opine. Or better yet, as Foxman suggests- Stick to football!

Boycott Israel Bozos Protest Ferguson In Seattle
Guess who showed up at a Seattle protest rally after the Ferguson, Missouri verdict? A bunch of Boycott Israel bozos- because, of course, the Ferguson verdict has everything to do with Jews and Israel.

Gazans Back Up Claims Of Hamas War Crimes
Mudar Zahran posted an article on Gatestone Institute detailing the interviews he had with ordinary Gazan civilians. Although the world has condemned Israel for alleged atrocities during the 50 day war, these Gazans confirm that Hamas was responsible for much of the death and destruction.
Here are just some of the comments:
The whole story here.
While the world's media has been blaming Israel for the death of Gazan civilians during Operation Protective Edge, this correspondent decided to speak with Gazans themselves to hear what they had to say.
They spoke of Hamas atrocities and war crimes implicating Hamas in the civilian deaths of its own people.
Although Gazans, fearful of Hamas's revenge against them, were afraid to speak to the media, friends in the West Bank offered introductions to relatives in Gaza. One, a renowned Gazan academic, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that as soon as someone talked to a Western journalist, he was immediately questioned by Hamas and accused of "communicating with the Mossad". "Hamas makes sure that the average Gazan will not talk to Western journalists -- or actually any journalists at all," he said, continuing:
Here are just some of the comments:
"If Hamas does not like you for any reason all they have to do now is say you are a Mossad agent and kill you." — A., a Fatah member in Gaza. And yet there are still fools, people I know, some of them Jews, who still blame Israel.
"Hamas wanted us butchered so it could win the media war against Israel showing our dead children on TV and then get money from Qatar." — T., former Hamas Ministry officer.
"They would fire rockets and then run away quickly, leaving us to face Israeli bombs for what they did." — D., Gazan journalist.
"Hamas imposed a curfew: anyone walking out in the street was shot. That way people had to stay in their homes, even if they were about to get bombed. Hamas held the whole Gazan population as a human shield." — K., graduate student
"The Israeli army allows supplies to come in and Hamas steals them. It seems even the Israelis care for us more than Hamas." — E., first-aid volunteer.
"We are under Hamas occupation, and if you ask most of us, we would rather be under Israeli occupation… We miss the days when we were able to work inside Israel and make good money. We miss the security and calm Israel provided when it was here." — S., graduate of an American university, former Hamas sympathizer.

PA Officials Call Youth Soccer Match With Israel "Crime Against Humanity"
The Peres Center for Peace sponsored an interfaith soccer match between young Palestinian and Israeli kids. Great, right? However, the effort to promote coexistence on a kibbutz in southern Israel was met with anger by Palestinian Authority (PA) officials who called it "a crime against humanity."
And these are the folk who are supposed to be moderates.
They have their parents to thank for the lack of peace in that region.
And these are the folk who are supposed to be moderates.
Jibril Rajoub, the deputy secretary of the Fatah Central Committee and the head of the Palestinian Supreme Council for Sport and Youth Affairs, said the match represented “an Israeli attempt to cover up their crimes against [Palestinian] athletes,” according to a Palestinian Media Watch report released Monday. Not only that, Abd al-Salam Haniyeh, who is a member of the Palestinian Olympic Committee, wants the Palestinians involved with the effort to help Palestinian and Israeli kids to get along punished.
“Any activity of normalization in sports with the Zionist enemy is a crime against humanity,” Rajoub said in a September 6 Facebook post.
The match, the first of a planned series, was hosted by the Peres Center for Peace on September 1 as an effort to build bridges between Israeli and Palestinian youths after a fraught summer of war with Gaza and West Bank tensions.
“The [Palestinian] organizers of this match betrayed the blood of the children of Gaza and of the martyrs, which has yet to dry a week after the end of the barbaric Israeli aggression."
“Immediately interrogate the organizers of the match, settle the account with them and prosecute them on charges of serious treason against the blood of the martyrs [who died in the Gaza conflict] and violating the decisions made by the Palestinian sports community’s leadership."Over 600 Israeli and Palestinian kids are scheduled to take part in these interfaith soccer matches.
More than 600 children from Israel and the Palestinian territories will take part throughout the year in the Twinned Peace Soccer Schools events. The program creates “twinned” relationships between Israeli and Palestinian cities. Sderot and the Sha’ar Hanegev Regional Council, both down south close to the border with Gaza, are twinned with the Palestinian town of Yatta, which is located south of Hebron in the West Bank. The tragic thing is that the children are open and willing.
“I love it when we play together like this. I hope that one day there will be peace between Arabs and Jews and that there will be no more wars and death,” a Palestinian boy told AFP after the first event.
They have their parents to thank for the lack of peace in that region.

Gazans Must Get Rid of Hamas- Claims Palestinian Activist
There are Palestinians who actually realize their future does not lie with the terrorist leadership Hamas. Bassem Eid, a political commentator and human rights activist who lives in East Jerusalem is one of those enlightened ones.
This was posted on YNetNews.
Someone finally taking responsibility for the situation over there. Well done!
There is hope yet, as long as he's not a lone voice about to be snuffed out.
This was posted on YNetNews.
For 26 years I have been devoting my life to the mission of defending human rights. I have seen wars and terror. And yet, the past month has been one of the most difficult times in my life.
I live in East Jerusalem and witness the destruction of life around me. Highway 1 has once again turned into the line separating between east and west. The Palestinians in the capital attacked traffic lights and damaged the Light Rail and power supply lines. But I cannot accept that as a social protest – it's pure vindictiveness.
The coexistence I have been fighting for my entire life has been executed in the city square.
There is no doubt that the death and destruction Gaza has been hit by are like a tsunami. Both people are in pain, but each side denies the other side's pain, and so the pain gets worse.
And still, as a Palestinian, I must admit: I am responsible for part of what has happened. We can no longer deny our responsibility for the death of our own people.
Most of the Palestinians were against the rocket fire on Israel. They realized that the rockets would not give us anything. They called on Hamas to stop firing, knowing that it had paved the way for the death of its own people.
We knew that Hamas was digging the tunnels which would to lead to our destruction. We knew that three people live on every square meter in Gaza. And Hamas knew that an attack on Israel would lead to mass death, but it's leaders are more interested in their own victories than in the lives of their victims.
Indeed, Hamas depends on death, which gives it power and allows it to raise funds and purchase weapons. Hamas has never been interested in liberating the Palestinian people from the occupation. And Israel will never be able to destroy the infrastructures it has built. Only we, the Palestinian people, can do that.
It was the Gazan residents' responsibility to rebel against the Hamas rule. We knew what they were doing to us, but we let ourselves off easy and allowed it to happen.
Will all this death finally teach us a lesson? I hope so. The lesson is that we must get rid of Hamas and completely demilitarize Gaza. And then open the crossings.
I'm saying this as a loyal Palestinian. I'm saying this because I am concerned about my people's future.
Someone finally taking responsibility for the situation over there. Well done!
There is hope yet, as long as he's not a lone voice about to be snuffed out.

More Fauxtography From Hamas In Gaza
Believe it or not, these photos were posted on a Muslim Facebook page Ummat al-Islamiyah Media Network along with pleas to stop sharing staged photos of alleged "Zionist oppression" in Gaza.
No, they're obviously not pro -Israel, but I thought it was interesting that they do not approve of the misleading, fake information Hamas is throwing out there in order to garner world favor to further the Palestinian cause.
Take this photo, that someone discovered was a fake. The original, sans the red lettering, claimed this was an IDF soldier. Apparently not.
And the real photo, below.
Then these poor children, that were apparently killed in Syria, turned up dead in Gaza.
Ummat al-Islamiyah Media even posted an anti-Hamas video calling for the world to save the children of Gaza from Hamas.
But faking news out of Gaza has become such a common occurrence that the staging of these events has its own name: Pallywood. Just search YouTube and you will find a slew of videos showing how Hamas (and others) have had a grand old time manipulating the Western media.
And remember the photo making the rounds on social media that Hamas originally posted on Twitter of an horrifically mangled teenage girl in a mini-skirt that was allegedly killed in Gaza? A still from the horror flick Final Destination 4. If the obviously over-the-top mangledness wasn't enough to tip someone off that this was a fake, the young girl's attire should have.
This is not to say that there haven't been any civilian casualties- there have been, and the death of any innocent is tragic- but Hamas uses it for propaganda purposes which is unconscionable. But Hamas is ultimately responsible for those deaths by taking the fight to schools and hospitals.

Arab States Remain Silent On Gaza
New York Times article discussing the deafening silence of the Arab States vis a vis the situation in Gaza. In a nutshell- they fear Islamist Hamas more than they hate Israel. Interesting turn of events.
The rest here.
The Arab States fear political Islam, they see what's happening in neighbouring countries- Syria, Iraq - African countries being overrun by the likes of Boko Haram and Al-Shabaab. And yet we have Western tools who are siding with Gaza. Yes, what is happening to the civilians there is tragic, but I fault Hamas.
Battling Palestinian militants in Gaza two years ago, Israel found itself pressed from all sides by unfriendly Arab neighbors to end the fighting.
Not this time.
After the military ouster of the Islamist government in Cairo last year, Egypt has led a new coalition of Arab states — including Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates — that has effectively lined up with Israel in its fight against Hamas, the Islamist movement that controls the Gaza Strip. That, in turn, may have contributed to the failure of the antagonists to reach a negotiated cease-fire even after more than three weeks of bloodshed.
“The Arab states’ loathing and fear of political Islam is so strong that it outweighs their allergy to Benjamin Netanyahu,” the prime minister of Israel, said Aaron David Miller, a scholar at the Wilson Center in Washington and a former Middle East negotiator under several presidents.

Hillary Clinton Explains To Anti-Israel Jon Stewart The Truth About The Situation In Gaza
I don't like Hillary Clinton, although I believe she would have been a much better president than Barack Obama, but she clearly explains to the pro-Pali, anti-Israel Jon Stewart the Gaza/Israel problem.
In an interview on his The Daily Show, Stewart tries to get Clinton to agree that he "the humanitarian crisis in Gaza is overwhelming, and that the world must do more for the people who are trapped by this conflict." Hillary explains that they're trapped by a leadership that is "committed to resistance and violence," and "doesn't really want to make the situation too much better because that gives them a lot of leverage over the poor people in gaza."
Hillary tries her best to enlighten Stewart on Hamas.

Jon Stewart Gets It Wrong On Gaza
Jon Stewart launched a verbal attack against Israel during his July 14 show regarding the Israel/Gaza conflict. He lambastes Israel for notifying the Gazans about an imminent air strike by exploding a small mortar on the roof of some building, while they use a high tech smartphone alert system. Stewart makes it sound as if this is the only warning that Israelis give Gazan citizens about an impending attack. But that's a blatant lie, or willful ignorance. Israelis do warn the Palestinians- with leaflets, phone calls and text messages. In fact, Israel just warned the Gazans to evacuate, and Hamas told them to ignore the IDF's warning, even encouraging them to act as human shields, which is something they have a penchant for. The small roof attack is simply a last resort when the other warning systems are ignored.
Then Stewart snarkily asks where are the Gazans supposed to evacuate to, talking about Gaza as if it's a few square blocks, and a shithole. Let's see how terrible Gaza really is. This video was filmed by a Palestinian (so you don't think it's Israeli propaganda), titled My Beautiful City- Gaza Palestine. Doesn't look too shabby to me- lots of fresh food and goods in bustling outdoor markets, horseback riding, swimming in the ocean, it even shows one young horseback rider with a fancy Canon DSLR camera. Oh, and they used to have a water park with luxury restaurants, until Hamas burned it down. And here's Gaza's shopping mall. There are plenty of places to evacuate to Jon. If you would just do some research before you open your mouth.
MidEastTruth has compiled a video rebuttal to Stewart's misinformation, including snippets of an interview back in 2009 with British Commander Richard Kemp who led troops in Afghanistan in 2003 and who claims that in the history of warfare there is no army "that has made more efforts to reduce civilian casualties, and deaths of innocent people than the IDF is doing today in Gaza." The video then shows a compilation of photos showing the bright, prosperous side of Gaza living. Then there are snippets of an interview with the Palestinian envoy to the UNHRC, who talks about the indiscriminate bombing of Israel by Hamas as a "crime against humanity" because those rockets are targeting civilians, unlike the IDF's retaliatory attacks that are specifically aimed at Hamas targets. And unlike the IDF, there are no warnings from Hamas.
Watch it here.

Hamas Tells Gazans To Become Human Shields, Ignore IDF's Calls To Evacuate
Since Hamas terrorists love to use civilians as human shields, the Israelis warned the people of Gaza to evacuate so they would not become casualties while the IDF targets militants. In response, Hamas officials told them to stay put.

Fatah Official Says To "Liberate" Jerusalem Soak The Land With Blood Of Palestinians
On December 19, 2013, broadcast on offical PA TV at a World Teachers' Day event in Bethlehem, Fatah member Tawfiq Tirawi told the audience:
And Fatah members are supposedly the moderate faction of the Palestinian people.
Can you see why there will never be peace in that region. At least in my lifetime.
"I say, from a position of responsibility, not a centimeter of Jerusalem will be liberated unless every grain of Palestinian soil is soaked in the blood of its brave people. For Jerusalem doesn't need negotiations, because negotiations will not bring Jerusalem back to us. What will bring back Jerusalem are the struggle and the resolve... We have conducted negotiations, while not laying down the rifle. It [the rifle] may be resting but we will not neglect our principles. We will rest the fighter's rest, but each period has its method of struggle. From fighting to Intifada, to popular resistance, to negotiations -- but we will not abandon [our principles] -- not in negotiations and not in any other way. I say, from a position of responsibility, the negotiations resulted in nothing except for the [release of the] prisoners.""Bring Jerusalem back to us." I think someone needs to give the Palestinians a history lesson. The Jews and Christians were there before the Muslims.
And Fatah members are supposedly the moderate faction of the Palestinian people.
Can you see why there will never be peace in that region. At least in my lifetime.

John Kerry Warns Of Israeli Apartheid State
John Kerry, the man who wanted the presidency in 2004 and is currently our secretary of state, told world leaders at a Trilateral Commission meeting that Israel could become an "apartheid state" (just like South Africa in the past) if they don't go for a two state solution.
The rest on the Daily Beast.
If there's no peace in Israel it's because the Palestinians don't want it.
“A two-state solution will be clearly underscored as the only real alternative. Because a unitary state winds up either being an apartheid state with second-class citizens—or it ends up being a state that destroys the capacity of Israel to be a Jewish state.”Apartheid state, John? Of course many feel Israel already is, but tell that to Arab/Israeli politicians, or the black Ethiopian Miss Israel 2013.

If there's no peace in Israel it's because the Palestinians don't want it.

On Fatah's official Palestinian Authority TV- the ones who are supposed to be moderate.
PA TV reporter: "Let's meet these girls who want to recite a short poem."
Girl 1: "I do not fear the rifle because your throngs are in delusion and ignorant herds.
Jerusalem is my land, Jerusalem is my honor
Jerusalem is my days and my wildest dreams.
Oh, you who murdered Allah's pious prophets (i.e., Jews in Islamic tradition)
Oh, you who were brought up on spilling blood
You have been condemned to humiliation and hardship.
Oh Sons of Zion, oh most evil among creations
Oh barbaric monkeys, wretched pigs
Girl 2: Jerusalem is not your den
Jerusalem opposes your throngs
Jerusalem vomits from within it your impurity
Because Jerusalem, you impure ones, is pious, immaculate
And Jerusalem, you who are filth, is clean and pure.
I do not fear barbarity.
As long as my heart is my Quran and my city
As long as I have my arm and my stones
As long as I am free and do not barter my cause
I will not fear your throngs
I will not fear the rifle."

Hamas' Ismail Haniyeh- Palestinians Will Not Recognize Israel
From the lips of Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh:
And this is why there is no peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians.
"We had two wars in which hundreds of people died, and thousands of acres of land were destroyed, but Palestinians did not and will not recognize Israel."He said this to a bunch of pro-Palestinian international activists a few days ago, thanking them for visiting Gaza, and called on more to come.
Haniyeh said aid groups who visited Gaza in solidarity had a political and a humanitarian message, showing that Gaza did not stand alone.Regarding Jerusalem:
"These groups, along with the help of God and the Palestinian steadfastness, eased the siege," he added.
"The (Israeli) occupation built a hundred synagogues around al-Aqsa to deceive the world and falsify facts."I guess he forgets that Christians were in Jerusalem way before Muslims.
And this is why there is no peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians.
