Islamists- Destruction of Israel A "Matter of Time"

Gatestone Institute has posted a sobering article by Dr. Mitchell Bard about just how futile it is to expect peace in the Middle East. In fact, if Islamists have their way, the destruction of Israel is just "a matter of time."

What makes negotiations with Iran, ISIS, Hamas or any other Islamist group impossible is that their leaders believe they are acting according to the immutable word of God. America, Israel, other Muslims with whom they disagree, cannot do anything to satisfy them except "submit" (the Arabic word "Islam" means "submission"). As Egyptian cleric Muhammad Hussein Ya'qub said in a televised sermon in 2009, "If the Jews left Palestine to us, would we start loving them? Of course not. The Jews are infidels not because I say so but because Allah does... They aren't our enemies because they occupy Palestine; they would be our enemies even if they had not occupied anything."

Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad and other terror groups do not conceal their intentions. The Hamas covenant explicitly calls for Israel's destruction and does not distinguish between Israelis and Jews:
"Our struggle against the Jews is very great and very serious... It strives to raise the banner of Allah over every inch of Palestine... It is one of the links in the chain of the struggle against the Zionist invaders...
The Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him salvation, has said: "The Day of Judgment will not come about until Muslims fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say, 'O Muslims, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him'".... There is no solution for the Palestine question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors. Palestine is an Islamic land."

But the ultimate goal of Islamists is not just the destruction of Israel, but the Islamization of any land Muslims have occupied in the past, like Spain, and beyond.

NFL's Reggie Bush Compares Ferguson To Palestine

Detroit Lions footballer Reggie Bush, who was Kim Kardashian's main squeeze for a while, is one of those fools who has likened Ferguson to the Gaza, Palestine problem.

He posted a photo on Instagram of an Arab-looking man, holding a banner that reads:

"The Palestinian People know what mean [sic] to be shot while unarmed because of your ethnicity. #Ferguson #Justice.”
As expected he has both supporters and detractors.

He believes the Ferguson "problem" is a global one, and wrote the following to accompany the above mentioned photo:

“No matter who you are, what color skin you have, where you live, we are all in this together! This isn’t a Ferguson problem it’s a Global Problem! We need change NOW! What happened to humanity? #JusticeForMikeBrown”
It has 16.8k likes.

Abraham H. Foxman from the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) jumped into the fray in an attempt to educate the idiot:

“The conflict between Israel and the Palestinians is not based on race, it is a political dispute based on claims to land.
“By conflating the death of Michael Brown with the conflict in the Middle East, Reggie Bush demonstrates a severe lack of understanding of both issues. He should stick to football."
Addressing those who criticized him, Bush responded with another photo of a girl holding a sign that reads:

"Ferguson with love from Palestine."
And the following explanation.

“This issue is a GLOBAL issue (I believe I said that already in one of my posts as well) as you can see."
“People all over the world have been affected by the unfortunate events that have taken place in Ferguson! I chose to take a stance on this issue because I'd rather have an opinion than to sit back and be quiet and say nothing at all! I wasn't expecting everyone to agree with me and I wasn't expecting everyone to like my posts!”
“…I wasn't expecting everyone to agree with me and I wasn't expecting everyone to like my posts! An [sic] unarmed young man lost his life period! And that's unfortunate! I don't know much about shooting people or getting shot but I do know if you shoot someone once in each leg (not 6-10 times) maybe even 3 times, chances are they will slow down! So my heart goes out to the family members of Mike Brown and anyone else that has gone through similar or worse tragedy!”

Go educate yourself Reggie, before you opine. Or better yet, as Foxman suggests- Stick to football!

Col Richard Kemp- Israel Unfairly Demonized Over Gaza Conflict

Former British Colonel Richard Kemp is not Jewish but he's a fierce supporter of Israel. After thirty years in the British Army experiencing terrorism and extremism up front and personal in Afghanistan, the Balkans, Iraq and other areas in the Middle East he is outraged at the demonization of Israel.

"Israel has no choice but to respond [to Hamas]."

In the video, he discusses the disproportionate obsession with the Gaza conflict as opposed to the horrors occuring in Syria, Yemen, Nigeria, other East African countries, and in Iraq where many Christians have been wiped out, forced to convert or driven out of the country. He criticizes the world for protesting the Gaza conflict while ignoring the killing in those other regions.  He blames it on rampant anti-Israel sentiment.

"Israel should not be lectured by any country in the world about its humanity. Israel is an extremely humane country. It's a Western liberal democracy, and it's as strong in its morality, it's as strong in its ethos, as its human ethos, as any other country in the world. Although I'm not Israeli, I'm not Jewish I find it personally insulting to hear Israel abused in this way."

"I believe that the evil of  violent Islamic jihad is an evil that faces the entire Western world."

The video is peppered with snippets of news footage from various sources including the son of one of the founders of Hamas, Mosab Hassan Yousef (an Israeli supporter himself) who says:

"The destruction of the state of Israel is not Hamas' final destination. Hamas' final destination is building the Islamic khilafah. Which means an Islamic State on the rubble of every civilization."

Kemp claims that Israel is at the front line of the fight for survival, and they deserve out support, because we can rest assured that we will be next.

Jon Voight Blasts Cruz and Bardem Over "Ignorant" Letter

In response to the 'open letter' Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem wrote condemning Israel's latest actions in Gaza, calling it a 'genocide', Jon Voight penned a letter of his own blasting the duo for fomenting anti-Semitism around the world.

In a guest column published in The Hollywood Reporter, he wrote:

My name is Jon Voight and I am more than angry, I am heartsick that people like Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem could incite anti-Semitism all over the world and are oblivious to the damage they have caused.

They are obviously ignorant of the whole story of Israel’s birth, when in 1948 the Jewish people were offered by the UN a portion of the land originally set aside for them in 1921, and the Arab Palestinians were offered the other half. The Arabs rejected the offer, and the Jews accepted, only to be attacked by five surrounding Arab countries committed to driving them into the sea. But the Israelis won. The Arabs tried it again in 1967, and again in 1973, launching a sneak attack on the holiest Jewish holiday. Each time the Jews prevailed but not without great loss of life. And when Israel was not fighting a major war, it was defending itself against terrorist campaigns.

And yet Israel has always labored for a peaceful relation with its Arab neighbors. It voluntarily returned the Sinai Peninsula to Egypt in return for peace, and gave the Palestinians all of Gaza as a peace gesture. What was the response? The Palestinians elected Hamas, a terrorist organization, and they immediately began firing thousands of rockets into Israel.

After years of trying to make peace, the wars they had to fight, being attacked by their enemies, and still being attacked, and finally after years of running into bomb shelters and having hundreds of civilians killed by suicide bombers, civilians being killed in their sleep, stabbed to pieces, finding enough is enough and finally retaliating, instead of my peers sticking up for the only democratic country in that region, they go and take out poison letters against them.

You have forgotten how this war started. Did Hamas not kidnap and kill three young teenagers for the sake of killing, and celebrated after the killing? What a travesty of justice.

I am asking all my peers who signed that poison letter against Israel to examine their motives. Can you take back the fire of anti-Semitism that is raging all over the world now?

You have been able to become famous and have all your monetary gains because you are in a democratic country: America. Do you think you would have been able to accomplish this in Iran, Syria, Lebanon, et cetera? You had a great responsibility to use your celebrity for good. Instead, you have defamed the only democratic country of goodwill in the Middle East: Israel.

You should hang your heads in shame. You should all come forth with deep regrets for what you did, and ask forgiveness from the suffering people in Israel.

Of course, Voight is an unapologetic conservative- he's a star, he can afford to be.

Cruz and Bardem did 'clarify' their position after a barrage of criticism regarding the letter, but it's too little, too late. The damage is already done

Bardem issued this statement:

“My signature was solely meant as a plea for peace. Destruction and hatred only generate more hatred and destruction.

While I was critical of the Israeli military response, I have great respect for the people of Israel and deep compassion for their losses. I am now being labeled by some as anti-Semitic, as is my wife – which is the antithesis of who we are as human beings. We detest anti-Semitism as much as we detest the horrible and painful consequences of war.

I was raised to be against any act of violence, and the consequent suffering of humanity for it, regardless of religions, ethnicities and borders. Too many innocent Palestinian mothers have lost their children to this conflict. Too many innocent Israeli mothers share the same grief. There should not be any political reason that can justify such enormous pain on both sides. It’s my hope that leaders involved in this complicated struggle will heed the call of United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, ‘In the name of humanity, the violence must stop.’

Palestinians and Israelis in the region deserve to have their safety and human rights recognized and respected so in the near future they may find peace and co-existence, for themselves and their innocent children. So generations to come could bring hope, forgiveness and compassion for each other. This is the most basic and necessary way to peace for all of us.”

Cruz earlier released this statement:
“I don’t want to be misunderstood on this important subject. I’m not an expert on the situation and I’m aware of the complexity of it. My only wish and intention in signing that group letter is the hope that there will be peace in both Israel and Gaza. I am hopeful all parties can agree to a cease fire and there are no more innocent victims on either side of the border. I wish for unity, and peace.”

Most wish for unity and peace, but that's not going to happen as long as Hamas remains in power, and you're an idiot if you think otherwise.

Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem Condemn Israel's Genocide In Gaza

Actress Penelope Cruz and her actor hubby Javier Bardem, along with film director Pedro Almodovar and several other Spanish entertainment names, have signed an 'open letter' protesting Israel's incursion into Gaza, calling it "genocide."  Calling what is happening in Gaza 'genocide' is as ignorant as calling Israel an apartheid state, neither of which are true, but they're actors, after all, ruled more by emotion than intellect.

The actors demanded a stronger response by the European Union to stop the military operation that has so far killed more than 1,200 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Civilians, including many children, have made up the majority of those killed in the offensive that Israel says is necessary to stop Hamas firing rockets at its cities.

The letter, printed by Europa Press and other Spanish news outlets, reads: "Gaza is living through horror these days, besieged and attacked by land, sea and air.

"Palestinians' homes are being destroyed, they are being denied water, electricity [and] free movement to their hospitals, schools and fields while the international community does nothing."
Of course, no cognizance or acknowledgment of the fact that Hamas flagrantly uses Gazans as human shields, or that Hamas actually encouraged Gazan citizens to ignore the  IDF's warnings to evacuate the area, leading to more casualties than might have occurred had they fled.

Labelling the Israeli military the "Israel Occupation Forces", it demanded an immediate ceasefire and urged Israel to "lift the blockade, which the Gaza Strip has suffered for more than a decade".
It blamed the latest hostilities on Israel’s advancement into Palestinian territories instead of observing the 1967 borders pre-dating the Six-Day War.
The latest hostilities are a result of a non-stop bombardment of rockets launched by Hamas into Israeli territory. And demanding the lifting of the blockade? How come they don't demand Egypt do the same thing? And the Israelis would be idiots to do that considering Hamas wants to annihilate Israel, it says as much in the Charter.

Others who signed their names to the letter were some lesser known actors and musicians:

Benito Zambrano, actors Lola Herrera, Eduardo Noriega and Rosa Maria Sarda and two musicians, Amaral and Nacho Campillo.

Hillary Clinton Explains To Anti-Israel Jon Stewart The Truth About The Situation In Gaza

I don't like Hillary Clinton, although I believe she would have been a much better president than Barack Obama, but she clearly explains to the pro-Pali, anti-Israel Jon Stewart the Gaza/Israel problem.

In an interview on his The Daily Show, Stewart tries to get Clinton to agree that he "the humanitarian crisis in Gaza is overwhelming, and that the world must do more for the people who are trapped by this conflict."  Hillary explains that they're trapped by a leadership that is "committed to resistance and violence," and "doesn't really want to make the situation too much better because that gives them a lot of leverage over the poor people in gaza."

Hillary tries her best to enlighten Stewart on Hamas.

Conspiracy Nutters Claim Malaysian Air M17 False Flag Operation

It didn't take long for the conspiracy theory wackos to crawl out of the woodwork regarding the tragic shooting down of Malaysian Airlines Flight M17 over the Ukraine. No-one knows for sure what exactly happened, and everyone is pointing fingers- the Ukrainian government, the pro-Russian Ukrainian separatists, the separatists with the help of Russia, Russia. Much of the evidence points to the separatists, and that perhaps it was an accident- they goofed up thinking they were targeting a Ukrainian military plane. But bottom line, 298 innocent souls were blown out of the sky by a Russian surface-to-air missile. However, separatist rebel commander Igor Girkin aka Strelkov thinks otherwise. He believes those 298 bodies were already dead, placed there by the Ukrainians. Girkin claims witnesses told him "a significant number of the bodies weren’t fresh" and some had no blood. I'm not sure how they could determine that burned and disintegrated bodies were not fresh, but they have. He also questioned the blood serum and medications found at the site, obviously unaware that there were a slew of HIV-AIDS doctors and researchers on that flight. Raw Story says the "theory" is similar to an episode of a popular British TV series

If the rebel leader’s assertion sounds like a plot twist from a particularly far-fetched spy film, that’s because it was. In an episode of the U.K. TV series “Sherlock,” an airplane loaded with corpses was brought down from the sky in order to convince a group of saboteurs that their encryption codes had not been cracked by the government.
That's the first of our conspiracy theories.

Then there's the obligatory 'the Zionists' did it narrative, and other crap.

The Central Bankers did it to start WWIII.

US/NATO/Israel did it.

To be honest, I had no stomach to plow through most of the above b.s. I skimmed through much of it.

Sadly, many of these wackos are conservative, usually racist, bigots. Not all of them are uneducated, which is what is most frightening. And they are totally predictable.  You can rest assured that anything that happens in this world will be blamed on a false flag operation.

Pro-Palestinian NYU Group Slips Fake Eviction Notices Under Dorm Room Doors

A pro-Palestinian New York University organization took their fight to the New York University dorms.  Around 2000 undergrad students found fake "eviction notices" under their dorm room doors with the following notice:

"We regret to inform you that your suite is scheduled for demolition in three days."
"If you do not vacate the premise by midnight on 25 April, 2014, we reserve the right to destroy all remaining belongings. Charges for demolition will be applied to your student accounts."

Although Students for Justice in Palestine placed "This is not a real eviction notice" at the bottom of the flyer, and they were slipped into dorm rooms of both Jews and non Jews alike, it had the Jewish students particularly fearful.

"It's an attack on the Jewish community," said sophomore Laura Adkins, 19, a pro-Israel activist. "It's specifically targeting Jewish students, which makes them feel not so safe."
[snip]
"People are fearful," she said. "Parents of prospective students have called me asking, 'Is my student safe going to NYU?' "

Not a peep from the Council on American-Islamic Relations.  You know there would be hell to pay if someone had slipped a flyer about Muslim terrorism under the doors of the NYU grads.

More here.

However, this isn't the first time pro-Pali student groups have done this.  They pulled a similar stunt at Florida Atlantic University, in Boca Raton, Florida a few years back.

64 Years Of Chinese Occupation In Tibet - Video

China invaded Tibet in 1950. During the last 64 years of  'occupation' the Tibetans have suffered greatly at the hands of the Chinese. Oppressed and suppressed, over one million people have lost their lives. Self-immolation is common, and there are more ethnic Chinese there now, than Tibetans.

"There have been reports of cultural, economic, religious and political oppression for decades."

Flying a Tibetan flag or shouting "Free Tibet" can get you arrested.

China, of course, denies it all, and world leaders rarely bring the issue of occupation to the table when meeting with Chinese leaders. They're too afraid to ruffle feathers of what has become an emerging super power.

Ironically, those who are quick to rule Israelis as occupiers remain relatively mum about the Chinese occupation of Tibet, which truly is an occupation. The only Hollywood-type to come to mind is Richard Gere, who has long been involved in the Free Tibet movement. On the other hand, the Boycott Israel movement  (BDS) has a very long list of Hollywood supporters.

Then there are the fools who compare what is happening in Tibet to what they believe is happening in Israel, and many of those are not liberals. But there is no comparison.

Why haven't they created a Boycott China movement?  Because, I believe, the whole Boycott Israel movement has more to do with rampant anti-Semitism than it does any so-called occupation.

L.A. Comedy Club Cancels Jewish Show Because "They Don't Support Israel".

The Boycott Israel movement has hit the comedy circuit.  According to Jewish Canadian comedian Stephen Glickman, a comedy club in Burbank, California canceled a stand-up comedy show featuring various Jewish comedians- including Glickman - "because club management did not want its venue used to support Israel."  The show was scheduled for 7 p.m on Sunday night.

Glickman posted on Twitter:

“The Purim stand up show at @FlappersComedy has been cancelled because the owners said they do not support benefits that support Israel.”
“Everyone should have the right to believe what they want but a COMEDY CLUB being ANTI ISRAEL is disgraceful and as a Jewish man I am hurt!” .
Since the all-Jewish show was already scheduled, did the BDS movement pressure management to cancel?

No response from the comedy club, so we don't yet know its side of the story. And some individual commenting on The Algemeiner mentions that one of the owners is Jewish, as if that should negate claims of anti-Semitism.  There are many self-loathing Jews out there, some of whom I am very acquainted with.

Arab Voice Of Donald Duck Proud He Was Fired For Anti-Israel Tweets

The Arabic voice of Donald Duck used to be Egyptian Wael Mansour until he started tweeting anti-Israel posts which resulted in a big fat pink slip. And he's dang proud of the fact that he was fired. He posted that on Twitter too.

“Disney decided I am no longer the official voice of Donald Duck in its middle-east dubbed cartoons because of an anti-Zionism tweet. Proud!”

He told al-Arabiya:

“I am proud of what happened, I do not regret it at all as it was exactly how I felt at that time.”

“I am against Zionism and Israel but I love the Jews,” He highlighted several times during the conversation clarifying that he even got text messages from Jews telling him that they respected his opinion.

He loves the Jews?  Doubt that very much, but he does respect and understand Disney's decision to fire him.
“Now, I understand what they come from especially that it is an International organization which cares about its image.”
The Twitter post that led to the firing was:

“I truly wish #Israel is demolished, I hate Zionism, I have so much hate inside me with every single child they murder or land they seize!”
Yes we are free to say whatever we like, but we will suffer the consequences for that freedom.

Tunisia Banned From 2014 Davis Cup After Boycott Of Israeli Player

Politics has no place in the arts or sports, but it happens all the time. Tunisia is finding out the hard way. As of now, Tunisian players have been banned from competing in the 2014 Davis Cup competition after the Tunisian Tennis Federation told its top player Malek Jaziri to not play Israel's Amir Weintraub during a tournament in Tashkent last month.

Although Jaziri was cleared by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), the International Tennis Federation (ITF) was not so understanding, and rightfully so.

“The ITF Board of Directors found that the Tunisian Tennis Federation was in breach of the ITF Constitution by interfering with international sporting practice and ordering Tunisian player Malek Jaziri not to compete against Israeli player Amir Weintraub at the 2013 Tashkent Challenger in October."

“The Board was not satisfied with the case put forward by the Tunisian Tennis Federation and voted to suspend Tunisia from the 2014 Davis Cup competition.”
According to ITF President Francesco Ricci Bitti:

“There is no room for prejudice of any kind in sport or in society. The ITF Board decided to send a strong message to the Tunisian Tennis Federation that this kind of action will not be tolerated by any of our members.”
Way to go ITF.

More on the story here.

Haaretz Lied About Rihanna Giving Nod To Palestine During Israel Concert- Retracts Story

The singer Rihanna has been at the center of quite a bit of controversy during her recent Middle East tour. It started in Abu Dhabi where she was tossed out of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque for taking some "inappropriate" selfies before her scheduled concert there, and then posting the photos on her Instagram account.  She's actually covered from head to toe, but that wasn't enough to stop the usual suspects from becoming offended.

Then she pissed off the Boycott Israel crowd by performing in Israel, so much so that the ultra liberal Haaretz newspaper felt the need to fabricate a story. In an article titled “All Rihanna sees ‘is Palestine’, but Israelis didn’t seem to care,” Haaretz claimed that in her song "Pour it up" she switched the lyrics from "All I see is dollar signs" to "All I see is Palestine," and that "she just kept inserting calls of “Tel Aviv!” in every song – never once saying the word Israel.”  Problem is, Michael Dickson of StandWithUs was at that same concert, and although she did keep throwing in "Tel Aviv"- since that's the town she was playing in, and that's usually what musicians do, mention the town not the country- he never heard her say "Palestine."  But it wasn't just Haaretz, The Huffington Post picked up on the Haaretz story and posted it there, titled: "Rihanna's Tel Aviv Concert Includes Nod To Palestine." Dickson, troubled by what he read, wrote a piece for The Times of Israel regarding what seemed to be a complete fabrication, mentioning he had tried contacting Haaretz for either a back up of the claim or retraction, and was being ignored.  Then a video of the concert surfaced which clearly shows she did NOT, after all, give a nod to Palestine, and this eventually led to a retraction by Haaretz and Huffington Post, along with a change of title on Haaretz, but not on Huffpo.

Shameful for HuffPo to not even do due diligence by checking out the video before reporting on the story, and even more shameful for Haaretz to have posted an outright lie.

Here's Dickson's thorough rundown including the video and updates.

Video: Egyptian Lawyer Arrested For Surfing Israeli Websites

Ayman, an Egyptian lawyer, who was surfing Israeli websites in an Internet Cafe was arrested as a Mossad spy after the owner called security forces.

Ayman wants peace with Israel and is learning Hebrew, but according to the woman interviewing Ayman and the man who turned him in, the "people" in the Middle East do not.

Some snippets of the conversation:

Interviewer (no hijab, mind you):

"Are you telling me that you- an intellectual and a lawyer - are not aware that it is written in both the Quran and the New Testament that the (Jews) want a state from the Nile to the Euphrates, and want to divide the Middle East into mini-states, and that America and Israel have devised a global plot to take over the Middle East? [snip] You live according to a far-fetched agenda, talking about peace..."

And the snitch owner scoffs at one of the messages Ayman received:
"You are the State of Israel's eternal ambassador in Egypt."
Claiming that anyone who wants normalization with Israel must be a spy.

Anyone who thinks that peace in the Middle East is possible in the foreseeable future is a fool.

But at least someone is trying.

Anti-Obama Viral Video By Egyptian Belly Dancer

Egyptian singer/belly dancer/satirist Sama Al-Masri (Elmasry) has another viral video on her hand. Not afraid to show her disdain for Mohammed Morsi, she's now tackling Barack Obama and U.S. Ambassador to Egypt Anne Patterson for their support of the Muslim Brotherhood. She's also not too fond of Turkey and Israel.

It should be noted that Sama was secretly wed to a Salafist MP, Anwar al-Balkimi (or Balkimy) aka the "nose job MP", until she discovered he was married with kids. Al-Balkimi denied the marriage, then again he also denied having a nose job, which is a major no-no in Islam. All rather odd since she so hates Islamists.

Israel A Wound That Needs To Be Removed- Says New Iranian President Rohani

Anyone who thought things might change under the leadership of the new so-called 'moderate' Iranian president Hassan Rohani (Rouhani) can lay those hopes to rest. At least when it comes to Iran's relationship with Israel. Rohani claimed that Israel is "a wound" that must be excised.

"The Zionist regime has been a wound on the body of the Islamic world for years and the wound should be removed," Rouhani was quoted as saying by the semi-official ISNA news agency.

The president-elect also expressed doubts about the possibility of an Israeli-Palestinian peace deal even as the two sides resumed negotiations in Washington this week, ending a five-year freeze in Mideast talks.

"Israelis show a compromising face to the world but continue their expansionism in practice," Rouhani said, according to Fars, another semi-official news agency.
Talk about showing one face to the world, but he's simply echoing what most every Muslim in the Middle East believes.

Peace in that region? Never. The Muslims will always hate the Jews/Israelis, and the Sunnis will always hate the Shia and vice versa. They're incapable of embracing peace. There are a few exceptions, but not enough to make a difference.

Saudi Arabian Airlines Defends Ban On Israeli and Jewish Passengers

Apparently neither Israelis NOR Jews are allowed to fly on Saudi Arabian Airlines. According to Khalid al-Melhem, director general of the airline, it's because Saudi Arabia and Israel do not have diplomatic relations, and if a passenger happened to get stuck in Saudi Arabia in transit there would be major trouble.
“If there is an absence of political relations between [Saudi Arabia] and any other country, we will not allow that country’s citizens into the kingdom,” Melhem told Saudi’s Al-Watan newspaper.

Bill de Blasio, NY public advocate, responded with:

“No city in the world has closer ties to Israel than we do, and yet Israeli citizens are being discriminated against right here at JFK [airport]. It’s not only illegal; it’s an affront to who we are."
And he promised that if the Saudi airline doesn't change its ban against Israeli travelers, or comply with international aviation laws that bar discrimination,

“[he]...will act to make sure they’re excluded from United States airports, starting with JFK."

“We won’t stop with just exposing these practices. We’ll pursue this with authorities in Albany and in Washington until Israeli nationals’ rights are respected.”
Just imagine if an airline refused to allow Muslims on board.

Anti-Israel Muslim Student Activist Appointed To UC Berkeley Board

The University of California at Berkeley (UCB) is having a similar share of controversy as Florida Atlantic University (FAU).  FAU recently bestowed a prestigious award upon anti-Semite, pro-Palestinian activist Noor Fawzy, now UCB is getting flak for appointing 21-year-old Sadia Saifuddin to the governing board as a student member for a one year term beginning in 2014. Like Fawzy, Sadia has been active in anti-Israel campaigns. She will be the first Muslim to serve as a student member, but there are some who are not very happy with this decision- not so much because she is a Muslim, but rather because of her polarizing activities.

Jewish groups including the prominent Simon Wiesenthal Center strongly objected to her nomination, citing her involvement in a campaign to divest university funds from companies with business connections to the Israeli military.

They also objected to her sponsoring a student senate resolution that condemned a lecturer at the system’s Santa Cruz campus for what the resolution said was Islamophobic rhetoric. The groups said it was Saifuddin who showed an intolerance toward opposing viewpoints.

“In a year where campus climate issues have been the dominant theme of the UC system, a vote to appoint somebody who has served to polarize thousands and thousands of people in the campus community and beyond is shocking,” said Rabbi Aron Hierof the Wiesenthal Center, which petitioned the regents to deny Saifuddin a seat on the board.

“An appropriate Muslim candidate could have ably served in this position. We don’t believe Sadia is that appropriate candidate,” he added.

Despite the opposition, 25 university regents voted on Wednesday to confirm her appointment with one member, Richard Blum, abstaining from the vote. He cited concerns about Saifuddin’s divestment efforts.

But not all Jews objected to her selection. Regent Bonnie Reiss, the chair of the student regent selection committee, said:

“Sadia is a remarkable young woman. She is committed to supporting all of UC students, and to this university and this country which she loves."

Reiss does not believe Sadia is anti-Semitic in spite of her divestment efforts.

Of course Ibrahim Hooper, of Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), had to pipe in calling the critics Islamophobes.

“Anytime an American Muslim rises to a prominent position, or starts to rise to prominence, that tiny minority of ‘Islamophobes’ in our society goes into action and seeks to marginalize and disenfranchise that individual,” Hooper said.

Typical.

Islamist Terrorism Today A Result Of Soviet Anti-Israel/U.S. Campaign, Claims Ion Mihai Pacepa

According to Romanian defector Ion Mihai Pacepa (who switched sides in 1978), the Soviet Union's anti-American, anti-Israeli propaganda campaign 40 years ago in the Middle East is responsible for international Islamist terrorism today.

In his new book, "Disinformation," he and his co-author, U.S. scholar Ronald Rychlak, claim that under the leadership of Yury Andropov, the Soviet KGB helped sow the seeds of today's anti-American and anti-Israeli hatred in the Arab and Muslim world by initiating a sophisticated and covert propaganda campaign in the early 1970s.
Andropov, who led the Soviet spy agency from 1967 until he became Soviet leader in 1982, was "the father of a new disinformation era which revived anti-Semitism and generated international terrorism against the United States and Israel," Pacepa and Rychlak write.
Wow. If true, Russia is also suffering the consequences, with their very own problems with terrorism.

Read more on RFE/RL, which interviewed  Pacepa through an intermediary. Apparently, he is still protected by the CIA.

The ratings of the book are rather interesting. With the few on Amazon, people have either hated it or loved it.

Pet Shop Boys Won't Cave To Boycott Israel Lobby- Israel Not Apartheid State

The Boycott Israel tools are at it again, this time targeting the upcoming concert of mega successful British electronic pop duo Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe of The Pet Shop Boys- who are no longer boys but rather middle-aged men. Perhaps that's why they're refusing to cave- they're old enough to know better, not that there aren't old fools who have embraced the boycott mentality. Take writer Alice Walker who recently told Alicia Keys (who also refused to be intimidated into canceling her concert) that she would lose her soul if she performed in Tel Aviv.

It's the same old story- Israel is an apartheid state, which it clearly is not. A poster featuring the singers wearing glasses with "1 child killed every three days" and "2 kids caged every day" plastered on the lenses, has been produced by a pro-Palestinian group in the U.K. called Innovative Minds appealing to the duo to:

"Open your eyes to the ugly reality of apartheid Israel. Cancel your Tel Aviv concert. Stand with the oppressed."

But The Pet Shop Boys aren't buying it. Their response to the demands:

'Israel has universal suffrage and equality of rights for all its citizens, both Jewish and Arab'
Neil Tennant said of the criticism:

"I don't agree with this comparison of Israel to apartheid-era South Africa," Tennant wrote on the group's official website. "It's a caricature. Israel has (in my opinion) some crude and cruel policies based on defense; it also has universal suffrage and equality of rights for all its citizens, both Jewish and Arab.
"In apartheid-era South Africa, artists could only play to segregated audiences; in Israel anyone who buys a ticket can attend a concert."
Of course, there will be the pro-Pali demonstrations, including a protest in front of the British Film Institute. The lads will be attending a screening of the Sergei M. Eisenstein classic 1925 silent pic "Battleship Potemkin" which features a brand new soundtrack composed by them.

Good on them!
