Sick Baby Named Al-Sisi Denied Care By Islamist Egyptian Doctor?

Maybe Arab Muslim doctors don't take the Hippocratic Oath when they embark on their healing careers, if an Egyptian doctor at the Kafr el-Sheikh General Hospital near Cairo is any indication. Senior physician Ezzat Abdulaziz refused to treat a three-month old baby with a high temp because the little boy's name was al-Sisi.  He's apparently an Islamist Muslim Brother supporter, and obviously took offense to the fact the child was named after General Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the savior of anti-Islamist Egyptians.

“I took my baby to the hospital, but the doctor expelled me out of the room refusing to treat the baby after learning that his name is al-Sisi,” the baby’s mother told the private Dream TV.
“I took my baby, who had a high temperature, to another woman doctor who examined him and issued a prescription for him,” the mother added.

The governor of Kafr el-Sheikh called the doctor's inaction negligent.

Yemeni Nobel Peace Prize Recipient Admits She Supports The Muslim Brotherhood

Yemeni journalist, activist and politician, Tawakkol Abdel-Salam Karman, is a co-recipient of the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize. The 'face' of the Yemen Arab Spring uprisings, she also happens to support the violence-prone Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood. Probably because she belongs to the Al-Islah party, an Islamic political party whose members are mostly Muslim Brotherhood and Salafists.

In an interview (courtesy of MEMRI), a reporter questions her support of the Muslim Brotherhood, and why she's so bothered about what's happening in Egypt.

As we all know, not everyone deserves those Peace Prizes.

She has come a long way, though.  She used to wear the niqab (veil that covers all but the eyes), now she wears colorful hijabs.

Pro-Morsi Islamist Tries To Set Colleague On Fire Over Pro-Egyptian Army Ringtone

Don't like your colleague's politics- set them on fire. That's what an Egyptian pro-Morsi Islamist tried to do to a female co-worker after he heard the pro-army ringtone blaring from her cell phone.

The newspaper said the 23-year-old woman had told the police that her colleague started insulting her after he heard the ringtone. He then attempted to set her on fire by dousing her in petrol.

The suspect reportedly works in a pharmaceutical company and frequently got into big arguments with his coworker for using a ringtone praising the Egyptian army.

The song “Tislam al-Ayade” or “May God Reward the hands” gained massive popularity among Egyptians after the army, led by Egypt's army chief General Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, toppled Mursi on July 3, sparking a violent crackdown on Muslim Brotherhood supporters and officials.

Not that something as bizarre as this hasn't happened in this country. The last presidential election raised the hackles of many a voter on both sides of the fence, including the Arizona woman who ran over her husband for not voting, blaming him for another four years with Barack Obama.

Video: Anwar Sadat's Daughter Camelia On The Terrorism Within The Muslim Brotherhood

Camelia Sadat, the daughter of the third President of Egypt Anwar Sadat, has some interesting things to say about Islamists and the Muslim Brotherhood.

Regarding the recent bloodshed- she places partial blame on her father for releasing the Islamists from jail back in the day because he believed that "they could join the fabric of Egyptian society again."  As a result he was assassinated.

She talks about the "terrorism within"  which is ultimately destroying them.

"They will never change."

She says it all starts with their pledge to the General Guide which has them with one hand on the Quran and the other on a pistol.

Some history on Camelia, who was married off at 12 by her father, and back in 2002 was practically destitute and living in the U.S. Couldn't find any recent information on her, other than the snippet of an interview below.

Video: The Destruction Of Christian Churches and Businesses In Egypt By Muslim Brotherhood Activists

Human Rights Watch documents the destruction and looting of Christian churches, businesses, schools, and even an orphanage by Muslim Brotherhood activists and other Islamists all over Egypt. All of this in retaliation after police and security forces tried to break up the Muslim Brotherhood sit-ins in Cairo.

Two employees on a tourist boat restaurant who were hiding when it was attacked, were found dead. One was a Christian, the other was a Muslim.

No-one came to help before or after the attacks.

Fake Deaths And Injuries In Egypt Aired On Al-Jazeera

No doubt there have been casualties in Egypt- that happens when two opposing sides engage in violence as they battle for power. But for a news outlet to stage something to further the agenda of one of those 'sides' is reprehensible. Raymond Ibrahim posted an interesting video demonstrating how some Arab media outlets do just that.

Al-Jazeera videotaped a scene showing a man bandaged and bleeding.  He looks like he is either dead or close to it. In the background you hear a woman screaming, apparently blasting the Egyptian military for "supposedly killing peaceful Brotherhood protesters."  We are to assume that this man was one of those injured or killed by the military. However, at about 8 seconds into the video below, as someone is about to lift the man's shirt to inspect what one would assume to be bullet wounds, you will see the 'unconscious' or 'dead' man raise his left leg and surreptitiously shove the person's hand away, while his eyes and the rest of his body remain immobile.  At :24 seconds the kicking is repeated several times.

How much of this is going on?

Cartoon That Clarifies The Egyptian Crisis

Tennessee's Chattanooga Times Free Press published this cartoon.

It very simply clarifies what the whole Egyptian revolution is all about.  After toppling the autocratic- albeit mostly secular- rule of Hosni Mubarak, the battle is now raging between those who want Democracy, and those Islamist/Muslim Brotherhood types who want a Theocracy.

The secular Egyptians believed that Mohammed Morsi and his Muslim Brotherhood would rule with a moderate hand. That proved to be an incredibly foolish mistake. Now they are all suffering the consequences.

I doubt either side is going to give up.

Video interview with the 11-year-old boy who was beaten up at a pro-Morsi protest.

The brave young kid has been identified as Ahmad Osama Sayyed, and he claims that he was telling the protesters "Shame on you. You're destroying the country. To hell with Morsi" when he was attacked by pro-Morsi goons.  According to the boy, one of those was allegedly Yahya Hamid, the Minister of Investment in Mohammed Morsi's cabinet.  Ahmad tells the interviewer that he hates the Muslim Brotherhood because he considers them barbaric.

Egyptian Islamists Beat Young Boy- Viral Video

Al Arabiya has posted a video that has gone viral of a young Egyptian boy being attacked by a group of pro-Morsi Islamists after they discover he's not there to support Mohammed Morsi.

Islamists flooded Ramses Square in Cairo after stuffing their faces for Iftar- the meal that breaks the Ramadan fast.

Thousands of Islamists poured into the square after breaking their Ramadan fast on Monday seeking to organize a sit-in there, threatening to paralyze traffic in one of the busiest parts of Cairo.

Their move prompted police intervention and violent clashes throughout the night. During the clashes a boy showed up to the scene and the angry Islamists grabbed him with one of them asking him:

“Who sent you here?” “Who are you?” “Are you with Mursi?” and “Who are you with?”

The horrified-looking boy was then beaten on the back of his head and then he was slapped.

When a man attempted to stop the assault, they shouted at him saying that the boy was hired by Mursi’s opponents.

“I know he is, but he’s just a child,” the young man responds. The crying boy pleads for help as several men continue to beat him.

“This isn’t merciful,” says a man approaching them.

He and others take the boy away, but it is unclear what happened to him afterwards.

At the end of the video, a protester notices that the incident is being filmed, so he tells the cameraman to film photos of Mursi instead.

So here we have a group of adults beating a defenseless young boy during Ramadan the holiest of holy Muslim holidays. One of the Five Pillars of Islam. Maulana Muhammad Ali said of Ramadan fasting:

“The real purpose of fasting is to attain righteousness. A person who undergoes hunger and thirst, but does not behave righteously, has done nothing. If someone is told the aim and object of doing a certain duty, and he does that duty but does not attain the required aim and object, it is as if he has not done that duty.”

Violence is not righteous.  This just demonstrates how hypocritical the most self-righteous and supposedly pious Muslims really are.

Sexual Jihad Coming Soon To The Pro-Morsi Sit-In Camps In Egypt

"Sexual Jihad" is nothing more than Islamically sanctioned prostitution, although the sanctimonious jihadists don't seem to see it in those terms. And there have actually been fatwas encouraging it in Syria.

Now those pious female Egytpian Muslim Brotherhood (MB) groupies are poised to offer their bodies to their co-jihadists at the sit-in camp in Rabea al-Adawiya Square in Cairo, and other squares where the MB have settled in to protest Morsi's ouster.

Hardcore Muslim Brotherhood (MB) supporters are awaiting a signal to commence a campaign of 'sexual Jihad' within their sit-in camp in Cairo; which is something a Fatwa (religious edict) posted on a MB-affiliated Facebook paged suggests will soon be allowed.

The fatwa came in response to a question by a female Brotherhood supporter asking if 'sexual Jihad' is allowed in  and the rest of Egyptian squares where people have been protesting since 30 June.

The religious answer was: “Not now. Let us wait first for what will happen, may God strengthen the Mujahedeen.”

“Sexual Jihad” refers the female Islamists offering their sexual services to their male counterparts so they remain motivated to continue the struggle for their cause.

More here.

No wonder Islamists love jihad, it's the only way they can get some sexual 'action'  without being stoned to death for adultery.

22 Al Jazeera Staff Resign Over Bias In Favor Of Muslim Brotherhood

We all know that journalists are supposed remain unbiased, but often are not. Same goes for news channels. But according to Gulf News a bunch of Al Jazeera based Egyptian journalists resigned, en masse, because of biased reporting in favor of the Muslim Brotherhood.

The news channel Al Jazeera Mubasher Misr saw 22 members of staff resign on Monday in Egypt over what they alleged was coverage that was out of sync with real events in Egypt.

[snip]

Mahmoud said that the resignations had been brought about by a perceived lack of commitment and Al Jazeera professionalism in media coverage, adding that “the management in Doha provokes sedition among the Egyptian people and has an agenda against Egypt and other Arab countries.”
Mahmoud added that the management used to instruct each staff member to favour the Muslim Brotherhood.

He said that “there are instructions to us to telecast certain news”.

Haggag Salama, did the same thing on-air live.  Kudos to them.

Head Of Egyptian Military, el-Sisi, Islamist Sympathizer?

Some troubling background information on General Abdel Fattah el-Sisi- the defence minister who made the statement about ousting Mohammed Morsi- from the Guardian UK.

Sisi, a career soldier, was head of military intelligence and the youngest member of the 19-strong Supreme Council of the Armed Forces. But despite coming from the heart of the security establishment he had a reputation for being sympathetic to the Muslim Brotherhood — the reason, many Egyptians assumed, Morsi chose him for the job. Sisi is said to be a religious man, and his wife, unusually, wears the full niqab (face veil.)

Mohamed Beltagy, a senior Brotherhood figure, has described receiving a "brotherly" warning from the intelligence chief about an impending attack by regime thugs on demonstrators in Tahrir Square in what became known as the "battle of the camel" — one of the brutally defining moments of the revolution that overthrew Hosni Mubarak, in February 2011.

But Sisi also attracted criticism for appearing to defend the behaviour of the armed forces in detaining and beating women protestors who were subjected to strip searches and "virginity tests" and threatened with prostitution charges.
Apparently Sisi also allowed Islamists to attend the "apolitical" military officer's training academy.

Hopefully he will remain neutral.

Video- Anti-Morsi/Anti-U.S. Protest In Egypt Led By Women

Some very angry Egyptians protesting against the man they voted into power. Looks like they are having buyers re-Morsi.  A group of women (and men), led by a veiled older lady in the town of Manufiyya, chanting for the "dog" to get out.

Note the anti-U.S. sentiment, though. Apparently they don't want our money, too bad that can't be arranged. But I can see why they might feel resentment towards the U.S. After all, the Obama administration has embraced the Muslim Brotherhood. And then we have the U.S. Ambassador to Egypt Anne Patterson criticizing their protests.

Egyptian Artists Stage Sit-In Until Islamist Culture Minister Steps Down

Protesting the perceived gradual Islamization of Egypt's cultural life, about 30 artists and others headed on over to Cairo's Ministry of Culture and staged what they are calling an  "open-ended" sit-in.  They will not leave until Muslim Brotherhood-friendly Minister of Culture Alaa Abdel-Aziz resigns.  Among the protesters were screenwriter Mohamed El-Adl, film director Khaled Yousef, actors Mahmoud Kabil and Nabil El-Helfawy, along with some other film industry notables including Galal El-Sharkawy, Fardos Abdel- Hamid and Sameh El-Seriety. Also present were novelists Son'allah Ibrahim and Bahaa Taher, and visial artist Mohamed Abla.

El-Helfawy told the press that artists cannot stay silent and ignore the current attack on Egyptian culture.
"The intellectuals, writers and artists inside the ministry announce their rejection of the minister, appointed by the religious fascist regime, who has embarked on his plan to destroy national culture," read the statement.
"They [protesting artists] declare that they will not accept the presence of a minister that does not fulfil the aspirations of intellectuals to cultivate a culture that lives up to the hopes of the great revolution since it started on 25 January 2011 and achieves its goals."
Protesting artists have declared an open-ended sit-in until the position is filled by someone who supports and works towards "enshrining values of diversity, citizenship and cultural richness, which were hallmarks of Egyptian culture across the ages."
Of course, there were Islamist counter-protesters there.

It all started back on May 28th when Abdel-Aziz pink-slipped the heads of the Cairo Opera House and Fine Arts Sector. People were not happy with that decision.

Sexual Violence Against Women Has Increased Under Egyptian Islamist Rule

Apparently, Egyptian women have seen an increase in sexual violence and harassment since the Islamists have taken leadership of the country. Not that they weren't harassed prior to the takeover of the Muslim Brotherhood. Big time.  It's just gotten worse, if that's at all possible.  The numbers are outrageous.

Sexual violence against women in Egypt has increased in the post-revolutionary Islamist rule, according to official reports and rights activists.

The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality said in a report published on May 23 that 99.3 percent of Egyptian women have experienced some form of sexual violence.

Nearly 50 percent of women reported more harassment after the revolution; 44 percent said the level of harassment remained the same before and after the revolution. Meanwhile, more than 58 percent of men surveyed said harassment increased after the revolution.

Egypt's general directorate of moral police at the ministry of interior reported that 9,468 cases of harassment, 329 sexual assaults and 112 cases of rape took place in 2012.

Activists say the figures released by the government are smaller than the actual ones because many women do not report cases of harassment against them to the police in fear of shame.

The U.N. study found that only 19 percent of women actually report sexual violence against them to the police. It said 32.2 percent keep quiet and move away from the scene, while 26.9 choose to insult or hit back the assailant.

Read the rest here.

So much for Islam treating women with dignity. Where are the Imams and Clerics? They should be condemning this kind of behaviour in their Friday afternoon prayers. They should be issuing fatwas against sexual violence and harassment.

I won't hold my breath.

Young Egyptian Girl Blasts Muslim Brotherhood

The hope for Egypt seems to lie in the hands of the very young.  With their talent, intelligence, and courage, things could turn out differently for that country.

This 12-year-old boy blasted the Muslim Brotherhood, as did 10-year-old Habiba Yahya Abdulmoneim.  But in Habiba's case, it was through a poem written by her father. She had been  chosen to recite a poem for the Education Minister, Ibrahim Deif- who is not a Muslim Brotherhood member- and Habiba chose her dad's poem of protest.

A 10-year-old prizewinning schoolgirl has become a media sensation in Egypt after being asked to recite a poem to the Education Minister and using the opportunity to launch into a bloodthirsty denunciation of the state of the country.

Habiba Yahya Abdulmoneim, who had won a national poetry recital competition, surprised her audience with a composition by her father.

''The feast-day sheep butts me, it wants to slay me,'' she said, with the full range of hand gestures and facial drama that audiences expect from Arabic performances. ''But its price is high. It is I who will roast you, it says, I who will destroy everything that is of value to you. I will not feed you, my wool will not warm you.''

The poem was immediately understood by the audience - the opposition regularly refers to followers of Egypt's ruling Muslim Brotherhood as sheep because of the obedience it demands of its members.

Video- Smart Egyptian Boy Slams The Muslim Brotherhood

Whip-smart 12-year-old Egyptian boy excoriates the Muslim Brotherhood.

Too bad the majority of Egyptians who voted the Islamists to power don't have even a small fraction of the intelligence of this boy. His analysis is spot on.

Muslim Brotherhood Blames Boston Marathon Bombing On Mali

And the blame for what happened in Boston during the marathon, as totally ludicrous as it might be, is placed on the shoulders of Americans- for a war we are not even involved in.

Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood blames it on Mali.

Essam Elerian, vice chairman of the Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), wrote in a statement posted in Arabic on his Facebook account that the “events began with the sending of French battalions to Mali in a war against organizations that are said to be part of al Qaeda.”
Elerian expressed sympathy with the families of the victims, but said the attacks “do not stop us from reading into the grave incident.”

“Who interfered in democratic transformations, despite the difficult transition from despotism, corruption, poverty, hatred and intolerance to freedom, justice, tolerance, development, human dignity and social justice?” he asked. “Who created Islamophobia through research and media? Who funded this violence?”

Earlier, Elerian’s FJP party published a statement in English condemning the “heinous attacks in Boston,” which killed three people and wounded more than 170 others.

The party said it “offers heartfelt sympathies and solemn condolences to the American people and the families of the victims.”

“Islamic Sharia [law] strongly condemns the attacks on civilians and the terrorizing of innocent people.”

Naturally, they say one thing in English to placate the Westerners, and another in Arabic- which is usually how they truly feel.

Egypt's Satirist Bassem Youssef Now Charged With "Insulting Pakistan"

It didn't take long for Bassem Youssef (Egypt's 'Jon Stewart') to make headline news again. Last week, the courts threw out a lawsuit filed against him for skewering President Mohammed Morsi and Islam, this week some new complaints have surfaced- this time for "insulting Pakistan", "spreading atheism", and another charge for "insulting Islam."

In his weekly show al-Bernameg, the satirist wore a hat similar to, but much bigger than, that worn by Mursi while receiving an honorary doctorate from a university in Islamabad last month.

Another lawsuit claimed Youssef was attempting to “spread atheism” after he allegedly made fun of the prayer ritual, which constitutes “questioning one of the five pillars of Islam,” Egypt’s Tahrir newspaper reported.

The third lawsuit accused him of disrespecting a lawyer at the public prosecutor’s office, and police officers outside the court, when he was summoned in March.

Youssef posted satirical comments on Twitter such as: “Officers and the lawyer at public prosecution’s office want to take a picture with me.” The complaint considered the Tweet “insulting,” Tahrir reported.

The charges against Youssef have raised international concerns.

Mursi’s presidential office has insisted that citizens’ complaints, not the office itself, are behind the probe.

Youssef’s high-profile case has prompted the United States to express “real concerns” about the direction being taken by the Egyptian government.

Although the court threw out the lawsuit demanding Youssef's show be banned, the charges of insulting Islam and Morsi are still pending, and he's out on bail pending further investigation.

And we give this country millions in aid.
