Al-Shabaab Kills Somali Preacher and Followers Over Music

Somalia's al-Shabaab continue to exact their special kind of barbaric Islamist punishment on those they believe are not following their kind of Islam.

Two attacks on the same day. A car bomb killing at least 6 and injuring more in Mogadishu. Apparently targeting soldiers there. The other attack was by two suicide bombers who killed an Islamic Imam along with 17 or more followers. Apparently the cleric was playing music during a religious ceremony.

Two suicide bombers exploded in front of the preacher's residence, which is also a Sufi shrine, and then four gunmen stormed the building and opened fire, said Ahmed Awale, a police officer in Galkayo. At least 20 others were injured, he said.

Somali security forces responded and there was a battle with heavy gunfire in the building. Three attackers were killed in the shootout and one was captured alive, said Awale.

Somalia's extremist rebels, al-Shabab, have claimed responsibility for the attack in Galkayo.

The attack killed Sheikh Abdiweli Ali Elmi, who has hundreds of followers and has been controversial because videos show him and his followers chanting religious poems with music, which some extremists say is not Islamic. Sheikh Elmi had defended his actions, saying music is not contrary to Islamic teachings.

Note of interest- This is the same country that Democratic member-elect of the U.S. house of representatives Ilhan Omar hails from. Not to say she has any affiliation with al-Shabaab. It's just interesting she chooses to still wear an hijab.

Hacktivist Group Anonymous Wages War Against ISIS, Again. #OpParis

After the Charlie Hebdo massacre in Paris this past January, the hacktivist group Anonymous set its sights on the Islamic jihadist perpetrators. #OpCharlieHebdo was aimed at tracking and taking down the social media accounts of all terrorists and their sympathizers including ISIS. They are apparently doubling down after the latest multiple terrorist attacks in Paris with #OpParis.

One day after the carnage, they took down over over 5,000 Twitter accounts, though I'm sure by now it's more. They've also set up websites in case you want to help.  Here's the official Twitter account for #OpParis, where they are warning that ISIS is setting up fake accounts. So beware.

They have also published the names, addresses and phone numbers of 5 ISIS recruiters living in Afghanistan, Somalia and Tunisia, and one allegedly living in Europe.

Of course, there is no way to determine how many they have really shut down, and naturally they will sprout back up like nasty weeds, but  at least ISIS is somewhat thwarted by the hackers.

Jordanian Pilot Burned Alive By ISIS- Will Jordan Follow Through With Promise To Retaliate?

Up until now, all of the high profile ISIS video killings have been non-Muslims from the West, and then Japan, in the case of  47-year-old journalist Kenji Goto, and Haruna Yukawa, the man Goto went to save. Most have been innocent journalists. Beheaded. But now they've killed one of their own, Muslim Jordanian pilot Muath al-Kaseasbeh who was captured back in December.  No beheading this time.  The man was burned alive, in a cage, apparently on January the 3rd- which is why Jordan wanted to make sure that the pilot was still alive before they swapped 44-year-old female Iraqi terrorist Sajida al-Rishawi.

Sajida has been jailed in Jordan since 2005 after a failed suicide bombing at a hotel wedding celebration that killed at least 57 people and injured 90 more. It was a family affair, her husband managed to set his off.

Jordan had allegedly said that if al-Kaseasbeh was killed they would retaliate by killing Sajida and any other captured Islamic State of Iraq and Syria

Now Jordan has reportedly stepped up its rhetoric by warning of its intent to retaliate if the negotiations end in bloodshed.

Elijah Magnier, chief international correspondent for Kuwait's Al Rai newspaper, told MailOnline: 'I have reliable contact in the Jordanian government who says a message has been passed to ISIS.

'It warns that if they kill the pilot they will implement the death sentences for Sajida and other ISIS prisoners as soon as possible.

'There are other prisoners in Jordan that ISIS would like to free.'

Okay, Jordan. Time to keep your promise.

Maybe this will propel Arab nations to finally get their butts in gear and do something about ISIS.

Allah Told Boko Haram To Kill Thousands, Leader Claims In Video

In the beginning of January, while the world was focused on the Charlie Hebdo Paris massacre, an even more unimaginable Islamic terrorist massacre occurred in north eastern Nigeria. Boko Haram jihadi animals slaughtered up to 2,000 people, mostly women, children and the elderly, in a matter of a few days when they raided the town of Baga- population 10,000- and burned most of it to the ground.

Over the years, they've been  responsible for the murder of thousands of innocent people in their quest to establish an Islamic State in Nigeria. This is the same group that kidnapped 276 young girls from the Chibok Secondary School, launching the #BringOurGirlsBack hashtag. The same that murdered sleeping students in their beds.

Now the leader of the group, Abubakar Shekau, says he massacred all those people because God commanded him to. He shared that revelation in a YouTube video, and promised much more to come. The Baga massacre was just the beginning of worse to come.

”We are the ones who fought the people of Baga, and we have killed them with such a killing as he [God] commanded us in his book,” said Shekau, as Nigeria and its neighbors worked to deploy a regional force to confront the violent Islamist militia.

“This is just the beginning of the killings," he said. "What you've just witnessed is a tip of the iceberg. More deaths are coming.”

In the 35-minute video, Shekau also burned Nigeria’s flag and declared the country's constitution dead. "This will mark the end of politics and democracy in Nigeria," he said as gunmen fired automatic weapons into the air, yelling “God is great.”

Since Boko Haram has started venturing into neighbouring countries like Cameroon, there is fear among West African nations that the terror will spread. West African leaders have been mobilizing in an attempt to thwart Boko Haram. In fact, Baga was to be a joint regional military base for Nigeria, Chad, Niger and Cameroon, headquarters for 2,800 troops. This was to have commenced sometime in November, but when the Baga attack occurred in January, Niger's soldiers had already left, Chadian troops had not yet arrived, so Nigeria was left to fend for itself. That military base was overrun and Boko Haram had a field day with all the weaponry and ammunition they suddenly inherited.  Shekau said:

“Kings of Africa, you are late," he said. "I challenge you to attack me even now. I'm ready.”

Something must be done to stop these extremists from multiplying and spreading their evil across the globe.

2005 Book Predicts The Future Of Terrorism With Frightening Accuracy

Back in August 2005, Spiegel Online published an article about an Arab language book written by Fouad Hussein titled "al-Zarqawi - al-Qaida's Second Generation."  Hussein's book predicts the future of terrorism, and so far his predictions have been uncannily and frighteningly spot on.

Hussein, a Jordanian journalist who was jailed for a while as a political prisoner, had the opportunity to spend some quality time with Abu Musab al-Zarqawi (before he was offed in 2006) and other al-Qaeda leaders, including Egyptian terrorist Seif al-Adl (who is still out there).

Al-Qaeda has a master plan for establishing an Islamic Caliphate, and Hussein shares that two decade, seven phase plan in his book.

The First Phase Known as "the awakening" -- this has already been carried out and was supposed to have lasted from 2000 to 2003, or more precisely from the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 in New York and Washington to the fall of Baghdad in 2003. The aim of the attacks of 9/11 was to provoke the US into declaring war on the Islamic world and thereby "awakening" Muslims. "The first phase was judged by the strategists and masterminds behind al-Qaida as very successful," writes Hussein. "The battle field was opened up and the Americans and their allies became a closer and easier target." The terrorist network is also reported as being satisfied that its message can now be heard "everywhere."

The Second Phase "Opening Eyes" is, according to Hussein's definition, the period we are now in and should last until 2006. Hussein says the terrorists hope to make the western conspiracy aware of the "Islamic community." Hussein believes this is a phase in which al-Qaida wants an organization to develop into a movement. The network is banking on recruiting young men during this period. Iraq should become the center for all global operations, with an "army" set up there and bases established in other Arabic states.

The Third Phase This is described as "Arising and Standing Up" and should last from 2007 to 2010. "There will be a focus on Syria," prophesies Hussein, based on what his sources told him. The fighting cadres are supposedly already prepared and some are in Iraq. Attacks on Turkey and -- even more explosive -- in Israel are predicted. Al-Qaida's masterminds hope that attacks on Israel will help the terrorist group become a recognized organization. The author also believes that countries neighboring Iraq, such as Jordan, are also in danger.

The Fourth Phase Between 2010 and 2013, Hussein writes that al-Qaida will aim to bring about the collapse of the hated Arabic governments. The estimate is that "the creeping loss of the regimes' power will lead to a steady growth in strength within al-Qaida." At the same time attacks will be carried out against oil suppliers and the US economy will be targeted using cyber terrorism.

We are currently in the Fifth Phase, and remember this was written back in 2005. Although ISIS is not directly affiliated with al-Qaeda, they still have the same short term goals.

The Fifth Phase This will be the point at which an Islamic state, or caliphate, can be declared. The plan is that by this time, between 2013 and 2016, Western influence in the Islamic world will be so reduced and Israel weakened so much, that resistance will not be feared. Al-Qaida hopes that by then the Islamic state will be able to bring about a new world order.

If we don't do something about this now, the following two phases are what we can expect, though it seems we are entering the Sixth Phase, a tad early.

The Sixth Phase Hussein believes that from 2016 onwards there will a period of "total confrontation." As soon as the caliphate has been declared the "Islamic army" it will instigate the "fight between the believers and the non-believers" which has so often been predicted by Osama bin Laden.

The Seventh Phase This final stage is described as "definitive victory." Hussein writes that in the terrorists' eyes, because the rest of the world will be so beaten down by the "one-and-a-half billion Muslims," the caliphate will undoubtedly succeed. This phase should be completed by 2020, although the war shouldn't last longer than two years.

The author of this article, Yassin Musharbash, like most fools did not believe back then that al-Qaeda (and other Islamists hellbent on creating an Islamic caliphate) was capable of achieving its goals.

Nevertheless, there is no way the scenario he depicts can be seen as a plan which al-Qaida can follow step by step. The terrorist network just doesn't work like that anymore. The significance of the central leadership has diminished and its direct commands have lost a great deal of importance. The supposed master plan for the years 2000 to 2020 reads in parts more like a group of ideas cobbled together in retrospect, than something planned and presented in advance. And not to mention the terrorist agenda is simply unworkable: the idea that al-Qaida could set up a caliphate in the entire Islamic world is absurd. The 20-year plan is based mainly on religious ideas. It hardly has anything to do with reality -- especially phases four to seven.

I guess he had no idea that new terrorist organizations like ISIS would pop up to implement the last phases. I wonder what he thinks now.

78 Christians Killed In Pakistani Church Bombing, And Other Massacres This Past Week

Every week there are major acts of violence rooted in Islam. Sometimes it's Muslim on Muslim violence, other times the targets are people of other religions.

This past week was no exception.

At least 78 people were killed in a suicide bombing at a Christian church in Peshawar, Pakistan, this weekend. Of 100 or more wounded, 11 of those are critical, so the death toll will probably rise. Not surprisingly, the government seems more concerned about peace talks with the Pakistani Taliban.

Speaking to RFE/RL's Radio Mashaal, regional Information Minister Shah Farman said the attack should not be allowed to derail the country's peace process with Tehrek-e-Taliban Pakistan, the Pakistani Taliban.

"It's a tragic incident, but overall, these kinds of incidents have decreased," Farman said. "There is a peace process going on. We don't want this process to be derailed. We're waiting for the results of the final investigation to see who did this and why."

Tragic incident?  It's an abomination, but what do they care. The minority Christian population has always been expendable.

Then there was the terror attack in the Kenyan shopping mall, by those Somali al-Shabaab neanderthals. The targets there were also non-Muslims. 68 killed, 175 wounded, so far. There are still some hostages being held by the gunmen.

But it's just as easy  killing fellow Muslims.  They were having a grand old time killing each other in Iraq this past week. Let's see, a suicide bomber blew himself up at a Sunni funeral on Sunday, killing at least 12.  70 were killed at a Shiite mosque the day before. 18 were killed at a Sunni mosque on Friday, and I'm sure I'm missing more. No doubt the Sunnis will retaliate for this latest massacre.

Will it ever end? Doubtful. And Muslims wonder why their religion is looked upon so unfavorably these days.

Thai Buddhist Couple Killed In Front Of Son

More cruel Ramadan violence. This time in Thailand.

A married Buddhist couple- 52-year-old Chuay Dermmuak and his 43-year-old wife Prapa Sanguanphan- were gunned down in front of their 4-year-old son.  Witnesses claim the family were riding their motorcycle when they were flagged down by two men riding another motorcycle. They were then murdered in front of the child. One of the men collected the spent cartridge and absconded on Dermmuak's bike.

According to police the killers were separatist militants, in other words- Muslims.

Islamic Militants Massacre Nigerian Students At Boarding School- Many Dead

More heartbreak from Nigeria: schoolchildren massacred, not by a lone madman but by barbaric animals, in the name of their Allah, who have no regard for the sanctity of human life.

The information is just coming out so the numbers vary, but what is known is that a group of Boko Haram Islamic terrorists, in an early morning attack at a boarding school in Mamudo Village in northeast Nigeria, shot and killed from 30 to 42 people.  Most of the dead are schoolchildren, some of whom were burned alive.

"We were sleeping when we heard gunshots. When I woke up, someone was pointing a gun at me," said 15-year-old Musa Hassan.

He put his arm up in defense, and suffered a gunshot that blew off all four fingers on his right hand, the one he uses to write with.

He said the gunmen came armed with jerry cans of fuel that they used to torch the school's administrative block and one of the hostels.

"They burned the children alive," he said, the horror showing in his wide eyes.

Police are still searching for dozens of kids who managed to escape into the surrounding bush.

Some parents have vowed to remove their children from school. Farmer Malam Abdullahi who lost two of his boys, 10 and 12, said:

"That's it, I'm taking my other boys out of school. It's not safe. The gunmen are attacking schools and there is no protection for students despite all the soldiers."

He has three other kids at another school. His 10-year-old had been shot in the back.

Some think the attack was in retaliation for the recent killing of 22 Boko Haram militants by the Nigerian military, but since Boko Haram means "western education is evil" it would seem that killing school children is in line with part of their mission. And if parents start withdrawing their kids fearing for their lives, then Boko Haram has done its job.

CAIR Files Complaint Against Florida Professor, Wants Him Fired Or Muzzled

A Belgian professor at the University of Central Florida (UCF) is in the crosshairs of Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). Jonathan Matusitz teaches a class on Terrorism and Communication which, obviously, includes Islam. Considering that the bulk of terrorist activity in this day and age, all over the world, is rooted in that religion, he's going to focus on that more than other terrorist activity.  Not that Islam is the only focus. In this video, Fifteen Reasons Why Terrorism Exists, he discusses the various reasons for terrorism, including religion, oppression, publicity, he even includes the Basque ETA terrorist organization, and white supremacist groups who target blacks and Jews. But CAIR filed a complaint against Matusitz  because they claim he supports Brigitte Gabriel's Actor for America (ACT), which it believes is an anti-Muslim hate group.

According to Matusitz, he just spoke with ACT.

CAIR posted this video of Matusitz  "spewing anti-Islam hate" in class.

"So why? Why do so many Muslims relative to other religions want to kill us? The answer is easy. Very easy. It's seven letters: culture."

"Imagine that symbolic interaction that from the cradle until you're an adult teaches you to hate."

CAIR says his classes are full of inaccuracies, bigotry and hostility, and accuses him of hate speech. But he speaks the truth, so how is that hate speech? Palestinians do teach their children to hate from the cradle,  and in most cases it lasts until the grave, which if they're martyrs isn't too long after they're born. Every day we read about multiple, horrific acts of violence, and often Muslim versus Muslim. He's not making anything up, and trying to muzzle people who do talk about it isn't going to make the problem go away. That is up to the Muslim world.

Matusitz said of the complaint:

"They've never been in my classes. They don't know the context of my classes."
"I think they're wrong. I think they're afraid of truth-tellers and they want to stifle free speech."

UCF's response:

"Dr. Matusitz expressed his opinion, which is his right. He was not speaking on behalf of the university and we do not endorse his views."

Syrian Islamist Rebels Found With Sarin Gas In Turkey

There have been reports that Assad's forces have chemical weapons, but Syrian Islamist militants with Jabhat al-Nusra (Nusra Front) were caught in southern Turkey with a cylinder of sarin gas and a load of weapons. They had planned on using the sarin in a bomb which was to be set off in Adana, Turkey.

Twelve suspected terrorists were taken into custody by Turkish anti-terror forces, although five were later released.

That's not to say Bashar al-Assad doesn't also have his dirty hands on some chemical weapons.

There are no heroes in this war.

Katherine Russell, The Hijabi Wife of Boston Bomber Jihadi Tamerlan Tsarnaev

While MSNBC's Melissa Harris-Perry argues about the irrelevance of Tamerlan Tsarnaev and his wicked brother Dzokhar's Islamic faith- since "there is no evidence suggesting the suspected attackers may have embraced a radicalized version of Islam"- more information is emerging indicating the bombers were not your run-of-the-mill secular Muslims. As much as liberals would like to believe.

The boys' mum started wearing a hijab in recent years, and Tamerlan's young Christian-turned-Muslim wife and mother of his child, Katherine Russell, also started wearing full Islamic garb.  Non-religious Muslims don't wear hijab nor do their husbands expect them to. Not to say that all religious Muslims are radicalized, but I would venture to say they could be one step away from that.

As for Tamerlan's wife, if we can believe her lawyer Amato DeLuca, it turns out that Katherine had no clue her husband was plotting to blow up innocent people.  Apparently she was too busy working her butt off as a home health care aide 70 - 80 hours per week, while her hubby took care of their 3-year-old daughter Zahara, and worked out the details of the Boston Marathon terrorist attack with his little bro.

According to DeLuca:

“When this allegedly was going on, she was working, and had been working all week to support her family."

Who knows if this is true or not, at least her lack of knowledge, but it's a little hard to believe that she would be so totally clueless since she lived in the same cramped apartment.

The DailyMail has some interesting information, as does AP's Big Story, on Katherine and how she became involved with Tamerlan. According to friends and others, this promising artist was dominated and influenced by her religious husband, a man she married in spite of being violently beaten up by him in 2009.

Too bad she took the wrong fork in the road when she married Tamerlan.

Saudi Florida Family Had Ties To People Connected To 9/11 Terrorists- Declassified FBI Report

In 2001, Saudi Abdulaziz al-Hijji was living with his family in an upscale luxury home in a gated community in Sarasota, on the east coast of Florida. In late August of that year, the family suddenly disappeared, abandoning the home, three cars (one of them brand spanking new) expensive clothing and jewelry, toys, diapers a fridge full of food, fruit on the kitchen table and other items.  We all know what happened 2 weeks later on 9/11.  There has been speculation that the al-Hijji family had indirect ties to at least  three of the terrorists responsible for hijacking those planes that September day, and newly (partially) declassified FBI documents seem to confirm that notion, contradicting the 'official' FBI story that the al-Hiji's had no connection whatsoever.

One partially declassified document, marked “secret,” lists three of those individuals and ties them to the Venice, Fla., flight school where suicide hijackers Mohamed Atta and Marwan al-Shehhi trained. Accomplice Ziad Jarrah took flying lessons at another school a block away.

Atta and al-Shehhi were at the controls of the jetliners that slammed into the twin towers of New York’s World Trade Center, killing nearly 3,000 people. Jarrah was the hijacker-pilot of United Airlines Flight 93, which crashed in a field in rural Pennsylvania.

The names, addresses and dates of birth of the three individuals tied to the flight school were blanked out before the records were released to BrowardBulldog.org amid ongoing Freedom of Information Act litigation.

The information in the documents runs counter to previous FBI statements. It also adds to concerns raised by official investigations but never fully explored, that the full truth about Saudi Arabia and the 9/11 attacks has not yet been told.

It does make one wonder about the original Saudi 'person of interest' in the Boston Marathon Bombing Massacre. Quickly ruled out as a suspect, Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi was rumored to be deported next week, although Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano has denied that possibility. I'm not questioning the guilt of the two Chechen brothers, but were there others involved, and could it possibly have been Alharbi after all?

Taliban Shoots 14-Year-Old Rights Activist In Head

Young 14-year-old rights activist Malala Yousafzai is struggling to stay alive in a Peshawar hospital after the Pakistani Taliban shot her, point blank, in the head. All Malala wanted to do was go to school, while the Taliban want to keep their women barefoot, pregnant and ignorant- the better to control them. She is now suffering the consequences.

A team of senior doctors late Tuesday completed her medical examination in a combined military hospital (CMH) and described her condition as critical.

“We have thoroughly examined her, she is in critical condition. The bullet travelled from her head and then lodged in the back shoulder, near the neck,” a doctor in the CMH told AFP, requesting anonymity as he was not authorized to talk to the media.

“She is in the intensive care unit and semi-conscious, although not on the ventilator,” he said, adding that the next three to four days would be crucial.

Earlier another doctor in Saidu Sharif Medical Complex in Swat’s main town of Mingora had said the bullet penetrated her skull but missed her brain, leaving her out of danger.

Seeking revenge for her activism, Taliban militants targeted her while on her school bus. Two other girls were also wounded, though not critically. And they threatened anyone who might dare to criticize their actions.

I don't recall Malala's story, but apparently three years ago she partnered with the BBC to write a blog about the horrific things the Taliban were doing in the Swat region of Pakistan. That was when girls' schools were being torched at the behest of cleric Maulana Fazlullah.

In 2011 she received several accolades including the

.. first-ever national peace award from the Pakistani government last year, and was nominated for the International Children's Peace Prize by advocacy group KidsRights Foundation in 2011.

What shocks and frightens many Pakistanis is that this happened during the day in an area where the army was supposed to have flushed out the Taliban- three years ago.

As happens, stories regarding the attack on Malala changed over the course of the day.

Initially, an officer told AFP Malala was shot as she was getting on the bus, then later that a gunman had flagged down the vehicle some distance away.

“One of them, who had a small beard, went inside and asked the children which was Malala,” Shah told AFP.

“He fired three shots. One bullet hit Malala’s head. The second hit the shoulder of her school friend and the third inflicted a minor leg injury to another girl on the bus,” the policeman added.

Taliban spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan told AFP the Islamist group carried out the attack after repeatedly warning Malala to stop speaking out against them.
“She is a Western-minded girl. She always speaks against us. We will target anyone who speaks against the Taliban,” he said by telephone from an undisclosed location.

“We warned her several times to stop speaking against the Taliban and to stop supporting Western NGOs, and to come to the path of Islam.”

Yes, that's the way civilized people deal with opposition and criticism- just shoot 'em dead. Even children.

Of course there were the useless and obligatory condemnations from the usual suspects including Pakistan's President Asif Ali Zardaro, who said they would continue to fight Islamist militants. Right, this from a country that harbored (knowingly or not) the world's most wanted man (Bin Laden) for so many years. Then the U.S. State Department's Victoria Nuland said:

“Directing violence at children is barbaric, it’s cowardly, and our hearts go out to her and the others who were wounded, as well as their families.” 

You think?

Amnesty International piped in with:

“This attack highlights the extremely dangerous climate human rights activists face in northwestern Pakistan, where particularly female activists live under constant threats from the Taliban and other militant groups.” 

As though any of that will make one iota of difference in how the Taliban militants deal with what they consider infidels.  And everyone thinks they are becoming a more moderate, gentler, kinder Taliban, as Lara Logan put it.  What a joke. They're as vicious and stronger as ever.

It's Ramadan and The Killing Goes On- Roundup of Violence

It's still Ramadan, the holiest of Muslim holidays, and you'd think they'd take a little break from all the violence and bloodshed that has become synonymous with Islam. But no, the carnage continues.

Afghanistan was the center of a series of suicide bombings and attacks on Tuesday that killed more than 41 people and wounded more than 138. Touted as one of the bloodiest days this year, three bombings in different regions of Afghanistan claimed the lives of innocent men, women and children. Several bazaars and a government gas station were just some of the targets, and to show just how evil these people are, another bomb targeted the wounded who had been transported to a hospital, causing even more casualties.

Gen. John R. Allen, NATO commander, asked Taliban leader Mullah Omar to:

"..rein in his murderers." "What we saw today were further acts of intentional mass murder. By targeting innocent civilians in populated areas, the insurgents have again shown they will kill non-combatants without hesitation to advance their backward looking plans for Afghanistan."

And they really think peace with the Taliban is possible.

Then there was all that action in Iraq. 14 were killed  during the past week. In fact, July (Ramadan started July 20) was the deadliest month since August 2010.

Al-Qaeda affiliated militants singled out eight 16 to 20-year-old Shia Muslim men, executing them after allowing the rest of the group of 25 to leave unharmed. The others happened to be Sunnis. As they are apt to do, they too left a roadside bomb under one of the dead bodies as a present for the first responders, for maximum body count, you know- 4 policemen were wounded.

Then there's the six young Arabs who were swimming in Amerli, Iraq when they were shot dead by men on motorcycles. And the Sunni police that were attacked and killed, and the two Sunni government employees who were murdered (just so you know it's not just Shi'ites who are targets.) And all the others the past 30 days. 325 killed in July alone, and there have been attacks every day in August in Iraq.

And lets' not forget the bloodbath that's taking place in Syria during Ramadan. 

Pakistani Olympic Team Visa Scam Discovered By The Sun

I don't enjoy watching sports except every 4 years when I sit down to enjoy the best athletes in the world competing. I love that, for the most part, certain countries can set aside their animosity and hatred for each other and just participate in healthy competition, even if it's only for a few weeks.

I pray nothing horrific happens, like it did in 1972 in Munich, but one can never tell. The level of violence since the 1970s has spiraled out of control, and nowhere in the West are we safe. Although British police denied any clear ties to the Olympics, 6 Muslim extremists were arrested in a series of raids early July, including Brit convert Richard Dart aka Salahuddin Al Britani.  He's the freeloader who has been enjoying a carefree life living in a rent-free luxury apartment and receiving £1,250 per month in benefits, courtesy of the U.K. taxpayer, and who threatened the wedding of Prince William and Kate.

Yes, security is heightened, but does the Olympic Committee really have that much control over the hordes of workers it has hired? What about the security?  Easily infiltrated. And what about the delegates that travel with the athletes?  Granted it's a tabloid, but the UK Sun uncovered a massive Pakistani Olympic Team visa scam. They're not claiming there were any terrorists given visas, but the potential is/was certainly there:



It's so sad the world has come to this- that one has to worry about the potential of terrorist strikes at any venue that attracts large crowds, but it is what it is. If only the spirit of camaraderie and global brotherhood that events like the Olympics create, could carry over into the real world. I doubt that will happen in my lifetime.  But you never know.

25 Illegals Attend Flight School Owned By Illegal- Thanks To TSA

I have seen old ladies in wheelchairs being patted down at airport security check points, and yet the TSA (Transportation Security Administration) allowed 25 illegal aliens to learn how to fly at a Boston flight training school several years ago? And the owner of that flight school? Also illegal? According to a report by the Government Accountability Office (GAO),

The illegal-alien flight-school attendees included eight who had entered the country illegally and 17 who had overstayed their allowed period of admission into the United States, according to an audit by the GAO.

Six of the illegal aliens were actually able to get pilot’s licenses.

Discovery of the trouble at the flight school began when local police--not federal authorities--pulled over the owner of the school on a traffic violation and were able to determine that he was an illegal alien.

Rep. Mike Rogers (R.-Ala.), chairman of the House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Transportation Security, said he found the GAO's findings "amazing."

"We have cancer patients, Iraq War veterans and Nobel Prize winners all forced to undergo rigorous security checks before getting on an airplane," said Rogers, "and at the same time, ten years after 9/11, there are foreign nationals in the United States trained to fly just like Mohammed Atta and the other 9/11 hijackers did, and not all of them are necessarily getting a security background check."

Stephen Lord, who is the GAO's director of Homeland Security and Justice Issues, testified about the matter Wednesday in Rogers' subcommittee. Rogers asked him: "Isn't it true that, based on your report, the Transportation Security Administration cannot assure the American people that foreign terrorists are not in this country learning how to fly airplanes, yes or no?"

Lord responded: "At this time, no."

Although the illegal alien who owned the Massachusetts flight school had not undergone a required TSA security threat assessment and had not been approved for flight training by the agency, he nonetheless held two Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) pilot licenses, also known as FAA certificates.

Well, isn't that reassuring. And how many more are out there learning how to fly planes into buildings?

Although the article states that a GAO official told CNS News that all the illegals had Latin names and did not appear "to be from Muslim countries", how do we know they're not Muslim? Just because they don't have an Arabic or Muslim sounding name does not mean they might not be Islamic terrorists. Richard Reid, does that sound Muslim? And yet Reid, aka The Shoe Bomber, half white and half Jamaican, attempted to blow up an airplane in December,2001. And Jose' Padilla?  That's a nice Latino name.  But Padilla was a would-be Muslim terrorist. Sorry, but the fact the 25 men (I assume) had Latin names and not Muslim-sounding ones, does not in any way put me at ease.

Absolutely outrageous. The TSA, Homeland Security and our government need to get their priorities straight.

Iranian Ex-CIA- Sleeper Cells In The U.S.

According to "Reza Khalili", Iranian ex-spy for the CIA, there are sleeper cells living in the U.S., ready for jihad and dying to kill him and his family.

Did anyone really doubt that possibility?

Nonetheless it's an interesting story.

His disguise consists of a blue surgeon's mask, sunglasses and a baseball cap that reads "Free Iran." A small modulator distorts his voice. He uses a pseudonym, Reza Kahlili.

He lives in fear, he says, because his years as a paid spy for the CIA inside Iran have made him an assassination target of Iran's government. He worries about his wife and children, who live with him in California.

At the same time, implausibly, he has become one of the most influential and outspoken voices in the U.S. advocating the overthrow of the Iranian government.

For the last two years, Kahlili has gone semipublic with a memoir, a blog, op-ed pieces and invitation-only speeches at think tanks. He warns that Iran operates terrorist sleeper cells inside the United States and is determined to build nuclear weapons to destroy Israel. The U.S. should respond, he argues, by supporting the opposition inside Iran.

Kahlili says Iranian terrorist cells inside the U.S. have weapons, explosives, money and safe houses; they use contacts with Mexican and Latin American drug cartels to smuggle explosives and weapons into the U.S.

"They have very detailed information about sensitive sites such as bridges, railroads, airports, military bases, power plants, nuclear sites, water plants, railway stations," he says.

If the U.S. or Israel attacked Iran, he says, sleeper cells inside the U.S. would launch suicide bombings and sabotage. Iran would attack Israel, and U.S. bases in Afghanistan and the Persian Gulf, he warns.

Kahlili says Iran has intelligence agents inside American universities, Islamic cultural centers and charitable institutions, posing as academics, policy experts and officers of nonprofits. They try to influence policymakers to encourage negotiations in order to give Iran time to develop nuclear weapons.

Kahlili says the Iranian leadership is motivated by Mahdism, the messianic belief that the 12th imam of Shiism, the Mahdi, will one day reappear to establish universal Islam. The trigger is the destruction of Israel.

Sanctions against Iran won't work, Kahlili argues. "It's not about the economy. It's about ideology," he says.

Taliban Behead 17 Pakistani Soldiers

Here's the latest brutality from the Taliban using one of the favorite methods of execution  the Muslim world.

Taliban militants have released a video that they say shows the heads of 17 Pakistani soldiers captured in a cross-border raid from Afghanistan and beheaded.

The beheading reportedly took place on June 24. The video displayed 17 heads placed on a bloody white sheet, while several masked men stood behind holding weapons they said were captured from the soldiers.

The Pakistani military said previously that 13 troops were killed on the cross-border overnight raid on June 24 into the country's northwest Upper Dir region, and seven of them were beheaded.

Four others were reported missing at the time.

They also managed to kill Fahimur Rehman, one of the major anti-Taliban militia leaders, and 3 others in the restive Northwestern region of Pakistan.

Anyone who thinks the Taliban are willing to live in peace is deluded.

What Happens To Christian Converts In Tunisia-

I don't recommend watching this video. It is horrifying at best.  I'm not actually sure why I am posting it, other than in hopes that someone stumbling upon my blog who is still in denial about the true nature of radical Islam might finally be convinced that it's an abomination.

This is what happens to  ex-Muslim, Christian converts in Tunisia.  This aired on Egyptian TV.

[NOTE: a reader below has informed me that the man was not a Christian convert, but a Shia Muslim and that this did not take place in Tunisia but in Syria. However no-one seems to know definitively who the victim was, where it took place, and who the animals who beheaded him were. Bottom line, Shias, Ahmadis and Ishmailis are also considered infidels and, regardless of what religion the person was, the fact that anyone could do this to another human being in the name of religion, is sickening.]

It is one of the most horrific things I have ever seen in my life.  It aired on  liberal talk show host Tawfiq Okasha's "Egypt Today".  He too seems disgusted by the whole thing.

"Obama We Are All Osama" Chant 1000s of Tunisian Salafists At Rally

Thousands of Salafi Muslims gathered in Tunisia in a bizarre 'show' of force, at an Ansar Al-Sharia event on May 20. It seems they wanted to send a message to the world that jihad is great and they're coming- for us, I presume.

And they definitely don't like Barack Obama. At the beginning of the video we hear them chanting "Obama, Obama, we are all Osama". Like that isn't quite obvious enough.  Ironic, since other than giving the go-ahead to kill Osama Bin Laden - a terrorist - Obama has been a champion of Muslim causes. Then again, these ordinary Tunisians (some bearded, some not) obviously have terrorist sympathies, which just makes them terrorists, too.

Then Tunisian cleric Mokhtar Jbeli starts preaching:

"Some Tunisians and some Muslims are afraid of the jihadist. We must ask: how come? Because the enemies have distorted the image of the jihadists, presenting them as the enemies of the Muslims. We say: no! Every Muslim is a jihadist. The enemies of Islam want us to be like sheep, to act like women. They want to deprive us of our will. They plundered Palestine, and other lands and holy places. They want jihadists behind bars. Why? So that the holy places will not be liberated. We are all jihadists, supporting Jerusalem and elevating the word of Allah. Let us all cry "Allah Akbar" together, so that Obama the ape can hear us. All together now! Say "Allah Akbar.! Allah Akbar!" Let America hear us. "Allah Akbar!'

That goes on for a while, and then shouts of "We are coming! We are coming!"

More Allah Akbars, and "Hear us Obama! Say Allah Akbar! Allah Akbar!"

The video switches to a wussy, ninja fight demonstration, and to the obligatory threats to Jews. "Khaybar, Khaybar, oh Jews, the army of Mohammed is returning."

At the end some other speaker says: "We wan to convey a clear message, one that will reach the heavens. Say Allah Akbar!"

We don't want you to act like sheep or women, Mokhtar, we just want you to act civilized. And yes, we want jihadists behind bars, so you can't go around blowing people up.

And they wonder why some in the West have a problem with Islam?
