All it takes for the white supremacist racist haters to climb out of their holes is an innocuous Cheerios ad featuring an interracial couple with a cute bi-racial kid. It's like any other Cheerios ad, save for the color of the actors' skin.
General Mills posted the ad on YouTube and finally had to disable comments because of all the vile comments people were leaving. They're still leaving them on all the various articles discussing the issue, and on the discussion page of Cheerios YouTube channel.
When are we going to get over this? People inter-marry, so what.
It's about time the advertising world reflects the U.S. as it is: racially diverse.

Video: The U.S. Wants Islamic Economy- Says Egyptian Cleric Mahmoud Shabaan
In a TV interview, Egyptian Cleric Mahmoud Shaaban claims that the Wall Street protests in 2011 were actually demanding an Islamic economy. He swears that Christians and Jews were raising banners with demands of: "We want the Islamic economy" and tells the host to check the Internet.
Well, I googled and came up with nothing.
He also states that:
So much for all those banners at Muslim protests with "Democracy go to hell."
Well, I googled and came up with nothing.
He also states that:
"Europe would not have made progress if not for Islam. Anything good that emerged from Europe can be traced back to Islam." The good aspects of European democracy were also taken from Islam."
So much for all those banners at Muslim protests with "Democracy go to hell."
LGBTQ Muslims Attend Retreat In Pennsylvania
I found this very odd. 27-year-old Bre Campbell was raised Baptist, she also happens to be transgender. And black. She was born a he, but last year converted to Islam because Baptists are anti-gay and anti-gay marriage, so she felt compelled to switch religions. And Muslims are pro-gay? Did she not get the memo that gays are not embraced in Islam either, in fact in places like Iran they get hanged? Apparently, she's not feeling much love in Islam either since she was at a Muslim LGBTQ retreat somewhere in Pennsylvania with 85 other gay, lesbian and transgender Muslims. They had come from three foreign countries and 19 different states to commune with like-minded individuals. Mind you, no-one was allowed to disclose where the event would take place, however, Washington Post reporters were invited to attend, and they interviewed some of the participants, including Bre:

Bre Campbell sat rail-straight in a red and gray flowing skirt, pushing her long red and brown dreadlocks off her neck. She’s 27, lives in Detroit and is a convert to Islam. She also identifies as transgender, male to female. Campbell talked about how it’s often hard to be transgender at a mosque, which segregates men and women.Crazy. Couldn't she have become a Buddhist? You certainly don't have to become Muslim to dress modestly. Talk about making her life even more difficult.
A few gossipy women at her place of worship have tried to figure her out. “Bre, you know, you shouldn’t pray at the mosque when you have your period, right?” she recalled some of them asking.
Yes, she would answer, she understands.
She didn’t want to tell them that she was transgender, partly because it was personal and partly because she realized they might ask to her to pray on the male side of the mosque.
“Not everybody is willing to have that conversation,” she said. “But I feel, God doesn’t make mistakes. I can be myself and keep my faith.”
She converted to Islam last year because she felt that the Baptist religion in which she was raised was anti-gay marriage and anti-gay in general.
“I would go to the church, looking for solace, and I would come back feeling even more hurt,” she said.
She realizes that some Muslims aren’t comfortable with gay and transgender people.
Sometimes, she said, she feels like she’s leading a double life. By day, she’s a well-known LGBTQ advocate, who counsels the African-American gay community about HIV testing at Wayne State University.
But at the mosque, she at times feels “forced back into the closet.”
Still, she liked that Islam focused more on God and that she could cover her hair and wear modest clothes and not be ogled for being different.
“I could just be a human being,” she said. “I could just be Bre.”

Blame The Beheading Of Lee Rigby On Madness Not Muslims- Says Russell Brand
In response to the beheading of Lee Rigby in Woolwich, England, actor Russell Brand (who himself looks a bit loony) posted on his Twitter feed:
He claims he's read Catcher in the Rye and some of the Quran and nothing in either compelled him "to do violence." That's because he says he's not nuts, but it's also because he's not Muslim. I understand his appeal for calm to prevent retaliatory attacks, even Rigby's family said as much, but denying it has anything to do with religion is very dangerous. The hundreds of thousands of militant, radical extremists around the world (some of whom live in England) who incite violence, or kill in the name of Allah can't all be mad.
So maybe we shouldn't blame it on Muslims, but we sure as heck can blame it on Islam.
Read his whole commentary here.
“That bloke is a nut. A nut who happens to be Muslim. Blaming Muslims for this is like blaming Hitler’s moustache for the Holocaust.”As a result of some Twitter flak for his comment, he wrote a piece for The Sun, explaining why he feels we need to blame the barbaric act on "madness not Muslims." Acknowledging his "Hitler's moustache" analogy was "glib" and "imperfect", he goes on to justify why we shouldn't blame this on religion.
There is something about the arbitrary brutality, humdrum High Street setting and the cool rhetoric of the blood-stained murderer that evokes a powerful and inherently irrational response.
When I heard the word “beheading” I felt the atavistic grumble that we all feel.
This is inhumane, taboo, not a result of passion but of malice — ritualistic. “If this is happening to guiltless men on our streets it could happen to me,” I thought. Then I watched the mobile phone clip.
In spite of his dispassionate intoning the subject is not rational.
Of course he’s not rational, he’s just murdered a stranger in the street, he says, because of a book.
In my view that man’s severely mentally ill and has found a convenient conduit for his insanity — in this case the Koran.
In the case of another mentally ill and desperate man — Mark Chapman — it was The Catcher In The Rye. This was the nominated text for his rationalisation of the murder of John Lennon in 1980.
So maybe we shouldn't blame it on Muslims, but we sure as heck can blame it on Islam.

Save Your Soul, Boycott Israel- Alice Walker Tells Alicia Keys Not To Perform In Tel Aviv
Singer Alicia Keys has been traveling with her Girl On Fire tour, and is set to perform July 4 at the Nokia Arena in Tel Aviv, but according to "The Color Purple" author Alice Walker if she does she's headed straight for hell. At least that's what she's insinuating when she wrote Keys a letter that was posted on one of those boycott Israel websites, which I refuse to link to.
Walker wrote on the U.S. Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel:
Brian Eno,
Roger Waters
Jean-Luc Godard
Elvis Costello
Carlos Santana
Emma Thompson
Jane Fonda
Julie Christie
Mike Leigh
Danny Glover
And most recently Stephen Hawking, to name a few.
Although people have claimed that Bruce Willis and Meg Ryan boycotted, they in fact did not.
I don't care what anyone says, if they're anti-Israel they are most definitely anti-Semitic, or supremely ignorant for failing to comprehend the true meaning of apartheid. Israel is most definitely not an apartheid state.
Walker actually believes that "American apartheid" was "less lethal than Israel's against the Palestinian people." Right, the Israelis are out there lynching Arabs.
Don't cave Alicia!

Walker wrote on the U.S. Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel:
“Dear Alicia Keys,
“I have learned today that you are due to perform in Israel very soon. We have never met, though I believe we are mutually respectful of each other’s path and work. It would grieve me to know you are putting yourself in danger (soul danger) by performing in an apartheid country that is being boycotted by many global conscious artists.
“A cultural boycott of Israel and Israeli institutions (not individuals) is the only option left to artists who cannot bear the unconscionable harm Israel inflicts every day on the people of Palestine, whose major ‘crime’ is that they exist in their own land, land that Israel wants to control as its own.”Walker isn't the only anti-Semite who is pushing the boycott Israel agenda. She joins many other celebrities including:
Brian Eno,
Roger Waters
Jean-Luc Godard
Elvis Costello
Carlos Santana
Emma Thompson
Jane Fonda
Julie Christie
Mike Leigh
Danny Glover
And most recently Stephen Hawking, to name a few.

The Internet And Muslim Radicalization versus Acceptance Of Western Culture
It seems that the Internet is both a great way to either radicalize Muslims, at least the young, lone-wolf types:
Or, according to a Pew Research, get them to not hate Western culture so much. That is, I would assume, if they have access to the Internet, and Western sites are not censored.

Older Muslims are at a loss as to how the Internet, more than the mosque, is influencing the radicalization of their youth, according to Peter Neumann, the founding director of the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation at King’s College London.
Neumann, at a New America Foundation panel this week, argued that Muslim extremists considered to be “lone wolves” are “people who are extremely active and extremely social” online.
Socially isolated, lone actors — who are typically thought of as “lone wolves” — are “only a very small minority,” he said.
[snip]
“But that’s what these people do. They’re hanging out in online extremist forums for 10-12 hours a day, and if you asked them, Who are your best friends,’ they would give you five names of people they’ve never met and whose real names they actually don’t know,” said Neumann.
Or, according to a Pew Research, get them to not hate Western culture so much. That is, I would assume, if they have access to the Internet, and Western sites are not censored.
Muslims outside the United States who use the Internet are more likely to have a favorable opinion of Western popular culture than those who don’t go online, the Pew Research Center said Friday.Who would have thought the Internet had such power to influence in both a positive and negative manner.
[snip]
Focusing on 25 countries with enough Muslims using the Internet to allow a detailed analysis, Pew found that Muslims who go online are more inclined to like Western movies, music and television.
“They are (also) somewhat less inclined to say that Western entertainment is harming morality in their country,” said Pew, which posted its analysis on its www.pewforum.org website.

Top Twenty Obama Administration Scandals Compiled by Keith Koffler
Journalist Keith Koffler over at White House Dossier has compiled a comprehensive list of the Top Twenty "most egregious" Obama Administration scandals.
The top three are the IRS, Benghazi and the AP:
Imagine if all of these had occurred during a Republican presidency.
The top three are the IRS, Benghazi and the AP:
1. IRS targets Obama’s enemies: The IRS targeted conservative and pro-Israel groups prior to the 2012 election. Questions are being raised about why this occurred, who ordered it, whether there was any White House involvement and whether there was an initial effort to hide who knew about the targeting and when.
2. Benghazi: This is actually three scandals in one:
The failure of administration to protect the Benghazi mission.
The changes made to the talking points in order to suggest the attack was motivated by an anti-Muslim video.
The refusal of the White House to say what President Obama did the night of the attack
3. Watching the AP: The Justice Department performed a massive cull of Associated Press reporters’ phone records as part of a leak investigation. Here are the rest.
Imagine if all of these had occurred during a Republican presidency.
Nicole Mansfield- The U.S. Muslim Woman Killed In Syria
Three westerners were allegedly killed by Syrian forces during an ambush, and it is thought that one of them was a female Muslim American convert who was fighting alongside Al Qaeda-linked rebels. Probably Jabhat al-Nusra. The black banner found in their car would probably be a good indication that they were.
The woman (though not yet confirmed) is thought to be 33-year-old Nicole Lynn Mansfield. Raised Baptist, the Flint, Michigan woman converted to Islam and began donning the hijab after marrying an Arab immigrant about five years ago. He dumped her after he got his green card, three years later. She has a daughter (now 18), the product of a teen pregnancy. She was apparently a lost soul searching for her purpose in life, which makes her conversion to Islam understandable. Carole Mansfield, her grandmother, said that Nicole told people:
Apparently local Syrian-Americans had never heard of Nicole.
According to her aunt, Monica Mansfield Speelman, about two or three years ago she made a trip to Dubai but was convinced to return home. Both aunt and granny said that Nicole did not keep in touch much, and they had no clue what her ex-hubby's name was or that she had even traveled to Syria. It seems this lack of communication happened after her marriage and conversion to Islam.
The FBI paid a visit to grandma Mansfield for more information, but are still reluctant to confirm her death. The Syrian government has her passport, though.
We make choices in life- she obviously made some bad ones.

“..that the best way of life was to be a Muslim. And that women should wear scarves ... women should always cover their head. ” She had a heart of gold, but she was weak-minded. I think she could have been brainwashed.”
Apparently local Syrian-Americans had never heard of Nicole.
Muna Jondy, a Syrian-American activist who is president of the Flint-based United for a Free Syria and who opposes the Syrian government, told the Detroit Free Press that she hadn’t heard of Mansfield. She also warned about accepting the Syrian television report because the station is linked to the Bashar al-Assad government, which is battling opposition forces and may be reporting propaganda.
