Bill Clinton and George H.W. Bush Do Not Heart Jimmy Carter

Jimmy Carter Apparently one thing that former Democratic prez Bill Clinton and Republican papa Bush have in common (other than some of their aid work) is an intense dislike for former Democratic prez Jimmy Carter.

Their mutual contempt for Carter is addressed in a book entitled “The Presidents Club: Inside the World’s Most Exclusive Fraternity,”  written by Time Magazine writers Nancy Gibbs and Michael Duffy.

According to Duffy and Gibbs, Carter is the gift that just keeps on giving, referring to many of his post-presidency antics.

“Carter gives the club a great gift, something for all the others to complain about."

“When nothing seemed to unite the members, the club often bonded over what an annoying cuss Carter could be.”

“He just had this habit of going off script that could be very annoying to them,” Gibbs said yesterday on CNN’s “State of the Union."
Supposedly Barack Obama isn't too fond of him either, because of this propensity to "go off script." In fact, Duffy said in a CNN "State Of  The Union" interview that:
‘When President Obama sent Carter to North Korea in 2010 [to secure the release of American Aijalon Mahli Gomes] he was so concerned about Carter going off that script that he made him sign a 12-point contract before he left including one point which was to never talk to the press about the trip, which then he did talk to (the press) about.’
As we all know, Jimmy is notorious for not only going off script but shoving his foot into his mouth.
In the book former staffers are quoted as saying some of his actions could actually be considered “treason."

On the other hand, Gibbs said that George W. Bush has been much more helpful to Obama, even arranging for a 'welcoming ceremony' to initiate Barack into the President's Club, and has made a concerted effort to not cause him any grief.  Unlike Jimmy Carter.

Money The Root Of All Jihad: Khalil Dale Beheaded For Not Paying Ransom

For all their claims that their holy jihad is against foreign invaders, most Islamist extremists are nothing more than low down, barbaric, common criminals. Supposed holy warriors don't attack innocents, they don't attack people who are in their country to help, and they certainly don't kill someone because a ransom wasn't paid. But it happens alot.

Ironically, the kidnapped Scottish Red Cross nurse who was found decapitated, dumped by the side of a Quetta, Pakistan road covered in plastic with a note attached saying “This is the body of Khalil who we have slaughtered for not paying a ransom amount” was a Muslim convert. 60-year-old Khalil Rasjed Dale (fka Ken) converted to Islam 30 years ago.  I wonder if he ever envisioned having his head chopped off by fellow believers?

Dale had been working for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) when he was kidnapped on January 5th. He was driving with two others, a Pakistani doctor and a driver, but there was no interest in those two because obviously there was no monetary gain to be had. Foreign aid workers are often targets because they are potential cash cows.

In spite of  "tireless efforts" to gain Dale's release by the British government (working in tandem with the ICRC), the fact that no money exchanged hands effectively secured his death sentence. Both Britain's Foreign Secretary William Hague and the ICRC's Director General Yves Daccord condemned the act:

“The ICRC condemns in the strongest possible terms this barbaric act. All of us at the ICRC and at the British Red Cross share the grief and outrage of Khalil’s family and friends.”

“This was a senseless and cruel act, targeting someone whose role was to help the people of Pakistan, and causing immeasurable pain to those who knew Dale,” Hague said in the statement.

Dale had been shot and beheaded, but who knows if he was still alive when they sliced his head off.  According to Safdar Hussain, the doctor who examined his body, “A sharp knife was used to sever his head from the body.”  Not surprisingly, there's a video of his beheading that the butchers have threatened to release, but the ICRC has asked the Pakistani  media to not air it. Who knows if they will comply.

It's time aid organizations pull out of that whole region.

Islamic Militants in Kenya and Nigeria Kill Christian Worshippers

Christian worshippers were killed by Islamic militants in Nigeria and Kenya on Sunday.
Although no group has claimed responsibility, Boko Haram and Al Shabaab (respectively) were more than likely involved.

The persecution and violence against non-Muslims will never stop.

Moroccan Islamist PM Snubs Visiting Female Belgium Minister

Some more Muslim male chauvinism, this time out of  Morocco.
On a recent visit to Rabat, two Belgian ministers met with newly elected (11/11) Moroccan PM Abdelilah Benkirane. Benkirane happens to be the head of  the  Islamist 'Justice and Development Party' which swept into victory thanks to the Arab Spring. As we know, Islamists have little to no respect for women, so he made a concerted effort to snub Justice Minister Annemie Turtelboom by pretty much ignoring her throughout the whole meeting. God forbid he should have to deal with a woman. Of course he had no problems dealing with Minister of Foreign Affairs Didier Reynders, who he praised for his flawless French.

Turtelboom displayed tremendous self-control for biting her tongue and not dealing with Benkirane's incredible rudeness- apparently she did not want to cause a 'diplomatic row'. But some were outraged by the whole incident.

Moroccan-Belgian MPs say her reaction is unblievable, and that Belgium should respond.

Yamila Idrissi (sp.a) and Nadia Sminate (N-VA) say that Turtleboom should have walked out of the meeting. But Idrissi says it's not too late for a response. "Belgium shouldn't leave things like that and make a point of it," she told Het Laatste Nieuws. "This is outrageous and unacceptable."

Sminate agrees. "This is disappointing from a strong woman like Annemie Turtelboom. If this isn't worth a row, than what is? Turtleboom should have responded .. this is a bad message for Moroccan women in Belgium."

They're right, of course. She had every right to walk out, and should have. But it just shows the tremendous lack of respect that Islamists have for women, and their lack of class.

I wonder how Hillary Clinton would have handled the situation, had it been her?

Religious Talk Radio Host Tells Saudi Man To Divorce Wife and He Does- Live On Air

Chauvinism is rampant in the Muslim world, particularly in countries like Saudi Arabia where women aren't even allowed to drive. Like children and animals, women are expected to be obedient or there are consequences. Severe, at times. Women have been beaten and divorced for as little as putting cheese instead of meat into a samosa. They are even killed for 'disobedience."

And divorcing a woman is as simple as texting from a cell phone or loudspeaker at a mall. So it's not really surprising to hear that a Saudi man divorced his wife over the airwaves, after calling in to a radio talk show hosted by religious scholar, Sheikh Ghazi al-Shammari.   Apparently the man was fed up with his wife disobeying him by working and traveling alone, and this "offended his manhood."

The man phoned the program to complain to that his wife disobeyed him by travelling without his approval from the Saudi port city of Jeddah to the capital Riyadh for a business conference.

He told Shammari that before his marriage he had accepted his wife’s demands to work on condition that work would not interfere with their marital life.

Shammari advised the man to divorce his wife as a punitive measure for “committing such a mistake against her home and husband.”
The husband immediately heeded the advice and divorced her during the live program although Shammari advised him to remarry her if she repents.

Yes, it's that easy.
Shammari defended his advice telling Al Arabiya that
“The husband called me in my program this afternoon and told me that he was financially capable and did not want his wife to work and that he is having problems with her about this issue for more than 10 years and that he has been patient for long. But the issue has developed to the extent that she would travel without his approval,” Shammari said.

“He was surprised that she sent him a text message from the airport telling him that she was traveling alone... and this is why I advised him to divorce her because she was not obeying her husband, a matter that is very important in Islam.”

“I did not make a mistake with my advice to the man, because what the wife did, travelling without his consent from Jeddah to Riyadh, is a serious matter and a cause for doubt,” He said.

“Such a wife is suspicious because she insisted to travel alone to Riyadh and without ample reason,” the scholar said. I did not rush with the advice because I saw that the issue was dangerous and we should not remain silent more about it.”

The woman is obviously better off without a husband that expects blind obedience, because Islam says that's what women should do. I think the Sheikh, as much of an idiot as he is, actually did her a favor. And more than likely, she feels the same way.

Neturei Karta Leader Meir Hirsch More Muslim Than Jewish

Rabbi Meir Hirsch, the leader of the bizarre anti-Zionist, Orthodox Jewish fringe extremist sect Neturei Karta, was happy as a clam that anti-Semite, anti-Zionist pro-Palestinian activist Sheikh Raed Salah won't be deported from England. I'm sure Salah is elated about it too, considering the UK is a great place for radicals to live for free.  He's got lots of extremist buddies over there, like Anjem Choudhary and Rich Dart, that live very nicely (courtesy of the Brit taxpayer) all the while preaching hate.  That was the reason Salah was banned from entering Britain to begin with, because it was believed he might "incite racial hatred.

But Hirsch and the Neturei Karta have no problem with inciting racial hatred, since they do it themselves.  They claim Israel and the Jews have no right to rule the Holy Land, and in his speech Hirsch actually sounds more like a Muslim extremist than a Jew when he says that he prays to "Allah to remove the Zionist regime from the entire land of Palestine."

He goes on to say:
"We declare: End the Zionist terrorism! End the cruel occupation! We believe that the final and just solutin that will put an end to the cycle of blood, and will achieve peace and stability for Muslism and Jews, is to restore the rule to a single Palestine on the entire land, for all its residents, with Al-Quds as its capital. Prior to the Zionist occupation, Jews and Arabs lived in peace and security under Muslim rule for centuries. We pray toAllah that the triumph of our beloved sheik Raed Sallah will finally bring an end to the cruel Zionist takeover of Palestine, and will restore peace, calm, fraternity, compassion, justice, and integrity among all human beings, so that they will worship Allah together, side by side. Allah Akbar, Allah Akbar.  Inshallah (Allah willing)
I guess he has no problem with paying the jizya (tax for non-Muslims).

Note his use of the words "infidels" "Allah" "Allah Akbar" and "Inshallah" in the video below.  .

Sudanese Writer Warns Egyptians About The Danger Of Islamism

Every once in a while someone in the Arab/African Muslim world gets it right.  In a spot on interview on CBC TV (Egypt) on April 2, 2012 Al-Hajj Warraq, a Sudanese writer, discusses the inherent dangers of the rise of Islamism in Egypt, and how democracy

"..is about more than just the ballot box. Democracy is a culture engraved upon the cerebral box before it is the ballot box. One cannot talk about freedom in the absence of free minds. The tragedy of the Arab Spring is that when the tyrannical regimes fell, the fruits were reaped by movements that preach closed-mindedness, rather than free thinking. The outcome will be regimes that are worse than those that were toppled. The so-called Arab Spring countries are heading towards a hash winter. "
Transcript of snippets of his interview on MEMRI here.

People in Tunisia and elsewhere should also take note.

Tehran To Crack Down On Dress Code Violations

There are actually Muslim women (and their liberal tools) who claim banning them from wearing the hijab (Islamic veil)  is a violation of their rights. I wonder if they would feel the same way if they were actually forced to wear one, like in Saudi Arabia and Iran.

Prior to the 1979 Islamic revolution in Iran, women were not forced to wear the veil. Once the mullahs took over all that changed. And though the dress code isn't as restrictive as Saudi Arabia or Afghanistan, Iran is ready for its annual crackdown on violations.

TEHRAN -- Tehran Police Chief Hossein Sajedinia says a new campaign to crack down on dress code violations has been launched in the Iranian capital.

Sajedinia was quoted by Iranian news agencies as saying that police will go after clothing manufacturers and companies that import dresses deemed inappropriate.

He said authorities also will pursue individuals who wear the clothing.

Thousands of Iranian citizens are detained and fined each year during the annual crackdown, usually launched in spring, which aims at enforcing an Islamic dress code.

Not that they don't fight back.

But this is what could happen to all the women in the Arab Spring countries that now have an Islamist majority leadership.

Muslim Prayer Rooms For All Australian Football Venues

At the behest of Bachar Houli, the AFL's one Muslim player, all Australian Football venues will eventually have prayer rooms.

Muslims are delighted they'll have somewhere to go for their mandatory 5 prayers per day while attending football games;  others, aren't so thrilled about pandering to a minority religious group.

Egyptian Women Outraged Over Possible Sex-After-Death & Early Marriage Laws

UPDATE:  Apparently not true. Interesting story about how this rumor turned into fact.

Women in Egypt are getting quite worried about the Islamists who swept into power (overwhelmingly) after the Arab Spring. Along with their fundamentalism come some very bizarre edicts and laws, and females over there are very concerned about having them implemented.

Egypt’s National Council for Women (NCW) has appealed to the Islamist-dominated parliament not to approve two controversial laws on the minimum age of marriage and allowing a husband to have sex with his dead wife within six hours of her death according to a report in an Egyptian newspaper.

The appeal came in a message sent by Dr. Mervat al-Talawi, head of the NCW, to the Egyptian People’s Assembly Speaker, Dr. Saad al-Katatni, addressing the woes of Egyptian women, especially after the popular uprising that toppled president Hosni Mubarak in February 2011.

She was referring to two laws: one that would legalize the marriage of girls starting from the age of 14 and the other that permits a husband to have sex with his dead wife within the six hours following her death.

It's not quite clear whether the issue of  'necrophilia' ('Farewell Intercourse' draft law) is actually up for vote in Egypt, or whether the women are just afraid that it might be. Apparently Zamzami Abdul Bari, some whacked out Moroccan cleric, in 2011 was the first to encourage husbands to have one last go with their newly dead wives, adding that it was okay for women to do the same thing.  This is the same guy who claimed women could drink alcohol while pregnant. So we can assume this is just some pervert's dream, since alcohol is forbidden in Islam, and I am going to assume so is necrophilia. Then again, there are some pretty bizarre things in the Quran.

Talawi is also concerned about other issues that could negatively impact women under an Islamist-led parliament including legislation that could rid them of their right to education and employment, among other things.

Many members of the newly-elected, and majority Islamist parliament, have been accused of launching attacks against women’s rights in the country.

They wish to cancel many, if not most, of the laws that promote women’s rights, most notably a law that allows a wife to obtain a divorce without obstructions from her partner. The implementation of the Islamic right to divorce law, also known as the Khula, ended years of hardship and legal battles women would have to endure when trying to obtain a divorce.

Egyptian law grants men the right to terminate a marriage, but grants women the opportunity to end an unhappy or abusive marriages without the obstruction of their partner. Prior to the implementation of the Khula over a decade ago, it could take 10 to 15 years for a woman to be granted a divorce by the courts.

Islamist members of Egyptian parliament, however, accuse these laws of “aiming to destroy families” and have said it was passed to please the former first lady of the fallen regime, Suzanne Mubarak, who devoted much of her attention to the issues of granting the women all her rights.

Check out the responses on the alarabiya link, it's quite clear many of the Muslims who commented were equally disgusted by the sex-after-death laws.

Who voted these Islamists in?!

The Dalai Lama Hearts George W. Bush

Just watched Piers Morgan's CNN interview with the Dalai Lama tonight and was taken by his gentleness and good humour (I've read some of his books, which I highly recommend). But the highlight of the interview was when Piers Morgan asked His Holiness which of the many people he had met had impressed him the most. He first mentions South Africa's Nelson Mandela as impressive, but then launched into (transcript via Newsbusters):

"Of course as individual, individual person, I love President Bush."

"Which one?" asked Morgan.

"The younger one," said the Dalai Lama

Morgan incredulously responded, “Really?”

“Really,” he clarified. "As a human being. Not as a president of America. Sometimes his policy may not be very, very successful. But as a person, as a human being, very nice person. I love him."

Still seemingly mystified by this, Morgan pressed, “But how did you feel that President Bush went to war so much and was responsible for so many deaths if you’re a man of peace?”

"After he sort of start the Iraq sort of crisis then my other occasion meeting with him,” the Dalai Lama replied, “then I expressed to him, ‘I love you, but your policies concerned, I have some reservations’ I told him."

Wow. He "loves" not Clinton or Obama, but George "Dubya" Bush. A man who has been vilified and criticized by so many worldwide, both as a President and a human being. Of course, that love might be a direct response to the manner in which he was treated by Bush-  with honor, dignity and respect. Obama, after all, sent him packing out the back door of the White House, with the garbage in full view.

Obama, I'm sure, is not crushed. But I'm happy for George. It's a great honor to be loved by the Dalai Lama.

Saudi Sports Commentator Would Rather Be Slaughtered By Allah Than See Saudi Women In Olympic Games

A Saudi sports commentator, Fahd Al-Raoughui, says he would rather be slaughtered by Allah than allow females to participate in the Olympic Games, for all the usual reasons, of course.

Maybe Allah can arrange for that to happen.

Jon Lovitz Skewers Obama

Former Saturday Night Live comedian and Democrat Jon Lovitz (who happened to vote for Obama) layed into Barack Obama on a podcast of his  ABC’s of SNL.

“This whole thing with Obama saying the rich don’t pay their taxes is fucking bullshit. And I voted for the guy and I’m a Democrat. What a fucking asshole.”
“The rich don’t pay their taxes? Let me tell you something, right, first they tell you–you’re dead broke–This is the United States of America, you can do anything you want, go for it. So then you go for it, and then you make it, and everyone’s like, Fuck you.”

Co-host Kevin Smith argued with Lovitz that he was unfairly ripping on the 99%, Lovitz fired back by saying the director was “masquerading as a 99%er.”

More and more are becoming disenchanted with Obama, but not enough to make much of  a dent, and probably not enough to stop them from voting for him again.  And there are still many who are as enamored of him as they were when they voted for him four years ago.

Listen to other parts of the podcast, below.

Saudi Grand Mufti Says Okay For 10-Year-Olds To Marry

If marrying a child is good enough for the Prophet Mohammad it's good enough for Muslims so says Sheikh Abdul-Aziz Al al-Sheikh (Saudi Arabia's Grand Mufti). Well, he didn't quite put it that way, but it was certainly implied when he stated (in response to some woman's question about forcing underage girls to marry) that according to Islam 10 and 12 year-olds are ready for marriage.  Mohammad married his prized child-bride Aisha at the tender age of 9. He probably thinks 10 is ancient, in comparison. And he definitely does not support those who are trying to make the legal age for marrying 25.

"Those who call for raising the age of marriage to 25 are absolutely mistaken," al-Sheikh said in a lecture he gave at the faculty housing mosque of Imam Mohamed bin Saud Islamic University in Riyadh.

"Our mothers and grandmothers got married when they were barely 12. Good upbringing makes a girl ready to perform all marital duties at that age."

Good upbringing? More like ignorance and lack of education.

Of course it matters not that Saudi Arabia is a party to the UN Child Rights Treaty which prohibits child marriages. Their religious laws and interpretations of those laws take precedence over anything else.

At least young girls have a reprieve of one year.

Pakistan Girls' School Blown Up By Al-Qaeda Linked Militants

Women haters in Pakistan blew up a girls' school in Khyber agency (a tribal region bordering Afghanistan) because  they obviously think the woman's role is in the home making their men samosas and popping out future suicide bombers. Thankfully there were no girls at school at the time, and no-one was injured. But I'm sure if they continue to try to educate themselves, the next thing will be acid.

JAMRUD: Militants planted explosives in the boundary wall of a government girls’ middle school, destroying the building in the Ghundai area of Jamrud, Khyber Agency on Saturday.

“The explosive material was planted in the boundary wall of the school, which destroyed the building,” said officials of sub-district Jamrud.

The owner of the school, Malik Haji Zewar Khan, told The Express Tribune that he heard a sound but took it as thunder due to heavy rain the previous night. But after few minutes, his son Khalid, who was a watchman of the school, informed him of what had happened.

Soon after the explosion, locals started rescue work by gathering the debris of the damaged building.

Assistant Political Agent (APA) Jamrud, Mohammad Jamil, employed sniffer dogs and successfully arrested a suspect, Sher Haider, who lived near the school, and arrested three other armed suspects.

APA Jamrud also issued orders for the arrest of the school watchmen.
While talking to media from an undisclosed location, Abdullah Azzam Brigade spokesperson Abu Zarar claimed responsibility for the attack.

Surprisingly, or maybe not, Khyber Agency is considered to be the most literate of all 8 tribal regions of Pakistan.

Pakistani Police Raid Marriage of 5-Year-Old Girl to 18-Year-Old

Chalk it up to supreme ignorance and a religion whose prophet married an underage girl and you have people pawning off their own pre-pubescent daughters, in some cases no older than a toddler.

In Peshawar, Pakistan police raided the wedding of 5-year-old Ajwa to 18-year-old Amir Khan.

“They were informed that marriage of underage girls is illegal and they were shocked,” a policeman, who was part of the raid, told The Express Tribune. “They said we’re illiterate and do not know about the law.” The girl’s parents have been arrested.   [snip]

While the police arrested only the girl’s parents and not the boy’s, DSP Riazul Islam said that an FIR will be registered against not just the girl’s but the boy himself and his parents as well for attempting to marry an underage girl.

The marriage of underage boys and girls is a crime under the Marriage Restrict Act of 1929 as well as against the UN Conventions on the Rights of the Child, said Imran Takkar, the operations manager at NGO the Society for the Protection of the Rights of the Child. Pakistan has ratified and signed the UN charter.

“Under the marriage act, no girl below the age of 16 can be married off. The UN convention says that any boy or girl below the age of 18 is a child,” Takkar explained.

5 years old? Whether they are just claiming ignorance of the law, or actually had no clue, is debatable. What isn't debatable is their stupidity.

Tunisian Group's Anti-Niqab Video Causes A Ruckus

Although there are some subservient fools who believe that the niqab (full Islamic face veil with just a slit for the eyes) makes them more pious, there are others who are rallying to make sure it doesn't become the norm in their country.  Some women with an organization called Egalité et Parité  (Equality and Parity) in Tunisia, a country that is battling to ensure Salafists don't impose their ultra conservative ways on what once was a secular nation, produced an anti-niqab video (see below) which is, naturally, causing a ruckus.

In their campaign, Equality and Parity used niqab-shaped stickers and put them in bathroom stalls, restaurants, cafes, nightclubs, and dressing rooms in malls. They filmed the reaction of women to the niqab stickers on the mirror, and turned them into a short film that is making its rounds on the internet.

Equality and Parity hopes that through this sticker campaign they can educate women and Tunisians in general on the severity of being forced to wear a niqab.

Ousted dictator Zine el-Abidine Ben Ali banned the niqab when he was in power, and since his departure there have been protests, including one at Manouba University, advocating for the niqab.

Ben Ali treated those who were outwardly religious with extreme suspicion. During his time in power, it was not uncommon for police to stop women in the street and order them to unveil. The niqab has found itself at the epicenter in the Salafi-secularist debate.

Suspicious with good reason, considering the ultra religious want to establish Sharia law and force everyone to become as religious as they are.

Members of Equality and Parity stated in a press release that:

“We are fighting with and for all Tunisians from all regions, including those living abroad, who are also involved in our cause. We commit to define each of our goals based on a preliminary analysis of the current sociopolitical situation, which seems to exclude Tunisian women, especially in decision-making bodies, means of mass communication and the public space,”
They also stated that they will not hesitate to protest or plan sit-ins if women's rights are violated. Their mission statement on their Facebook Page says they will:

Fight to combat the weak representation of women in decision making bodies, be they political, social, economic or cultural.

Take action
to establish full citizenship (for women),
to eradicate all discrimination,
to ensure equality between men and women,
to make sure Tunisia joins all International Conventions favoring human rights, and in particular the lifting of reservations on the Convention on the Elimination of all forms of discrimination against women (CEDAW).

Not suprisingly, the usual suspects (both the religious Muslims and liberals) have been highly critical of the video.

Sri Lankan In Saudi Arabia Faces Beheading For "Casting Spell" On 13-Year-Old Shopper

In Saudi Arabia dabbling in witchcraft will get you beheaded. Trouble is, the definition of what constitutes 'witchcraft' is vague, at best.  One Saudi woman in her 60s, Amina bint Abdul Halim bin Salem Nasser,  was executed last December for  'witchcraft and sorcery".  There were no specific details regarding the case other than the fact that she allegedly took money ($800, so they say) from people claiming she could heal them. Did she give them herbal remedies, or just wave a magic wand or wiggle her nose and say they were cured?  And how many people actually accused her?  It only takes one person to finger an individual as a witch in Saudi Arabia and they can face execution.  That's what's happened to a poor woman after a Saudi man claimed she cast a spell on his daughter at a shopping mall.

A Sri Lankan woman could face the death penalty by beheading after she was arrested on suspicion of casting a spell on a 13-year-old girl during a family shopping trip, a police spokesman said on Wednesday. The daily Okaz reported that a Saudi man had complained his daughter had "suddenly started acting in an abnormal way, and that happened after she came close to the Sri Lankan woman" in a shopping mall in the port city of Jeddah.

"He reported her to the security forces, asking for her arrest and the specialised units dealt with the situation swiftly and succeeded in arresting her," Okaz reported.

What?  So, let me get this straight- a Sri Lankan woman is in a mall, minding her own business I assume, and this Saudi man's little girl starts acting up (as 13 year-olds are apt to do) as she walks by, and the woman could lose her head over this?

Ironically, although Saudi Arabia has no penal code (it's a monarchy, and a backwards one at that), according to Peter Luther of Amnesty International:

"The charges of 'witchcraft and sorcery' are not defined as crimes in Saudi Arabia and to use them to subject someone to the cruel and extreme penalty of execution is truly appalling."

Amnesty also states that  charges of witchcraft are often a means of  punishing people ".. after unfair trials, for exercising their right to freedom of speech or religion." And according to Human Rights Watch, it's foreigners who are usually the major targets "... because of their traditional practices or, occasionally, because Saudi men facing charges of sexual harassment by domestic workers want to discredit their accusers."

But it's all so very arbitrary, and anyone can get the short end of the stick.  A Sudanese man was also executed in 2011 for sorcery. Then there's Ali Sibat, the Lebanese fortune-telling TV personality, who almost lost his head, while on a pilgrimage to Mecca. And Mustafa Ibrahiman, an Egyptian pharmacist working in Saudi Arabia, executed in 2007  for trying "to separate a married couple, through sorcery."

God knows why anyone visits there.

Computers Infected With DNSChanger Trojan To Lose Internet July 9!

If your computer has been infected with the DNSChanger Trojan, you better fix it now or forget surfing the web because you won't be able to access the Internet after July 9. The original deadline was March, but a Federal judge determined that wasn't enough time.  Problem is: most people have no clue any of this is going down, let alone that their computers have been infected.

For those who might not know

Back in November, law enforcement authorities working with the Federal Bureau of Investigation arrested six of the seven individuals in Estonia responsible for infecting millions of Windows and Mac machines worldwide with the DNSChanger Trojan. As part of the "Operation Ghost Click" raid, FBI agents also seized over 100 servers at data centers throughout the United States masquerading as legitimate DNS servers.

The DNSChanger malware replaced the Domain Name System settings for the computers and routers it infected with addresses of malicious servers. When users tried to access certain websites, the rogue DNS servers redirected the Web traffic through other servers controlled by the criminals. Those criminals pocketed millions of dollars in affiliate and referral fees by diverting users through those sites, according to the FBI.

Users who found themselves landing on strange sites unexpectedly, or had home computers that had difficulty connecting to their work VPNs were likely to be infected.

Rather than allow hundreds of thousands of infected users to lose Internet access, the FBI created an alternate system:

We started to realize that we might have a little bit of a problem on our hands because ... if we just pulled the plug on their criminal infrastructure and threw everybody in jail, the victims of this were going to be without Internet service," said Tom Grasso, an FBI supervisory special agent. "The average user would open up Internet Explorer and get `page not found' and think the Internet is broken."

On the night of the arrests, the agency brought in Paul Vixie, chairman and founder of Internet Systems Consortium, to install two Internet servers to take the place of the truckload of impounded rogue servers that infected computers were using. Federal officials planned to keep their servers online until March, giving everyone opportunity to clean their computers. But it wasn't enough time. A federal judge in New York extended the deadline until July.

Now, said Grasso, "the full court press is on to get people to address this problem." And it's up to computer users to check their PCs.

Apparently, the hacker scumbags infected over 570,000 computers around the world, thanks to some Microsoft Windows vulnerabilities (important to keep those up-to-date, folks). There are now estimated to be about 360,000 computers still infected, 85,000 of those in the U.S.  England, Germany, Italy and India each have over 20,000, with fewer amounts in other countries including Canada, China, France, Mexico and Spain.  Most are probably home users.

The FBI recommends DCWG to check whether your computer has been compromised.
If you click here and the symbol is red, your computer is infected. If green, you are fine.
The clean-up, however, isn't so easy, and it's recommended that you get a computer whiz to help.

Thankfully, mine is fine.

Stacey Dooley's "My Hometown Fanatics"- the rise of extremist Muslims in Luton, England

In this BBC 3 documentary, Stacey Dooley goes to Luton (North London) to witness up close and personal the radical Muslims who have overtaken her home town, now known as the 'extremist capital of Britain'. In the end, she seems to think they can all somehow live together, shariah law be damned. But what can one expect from a liberal. With attitudes like hers, the end of England will come even sooner than expected.

Jump Rope Versus Khomeini- What one woman thinks of Iran's Islamic Revolution

Maybe it's just my sense of humour, but I find this video (Jump Rope versus Khomeini) terribly funny; though what's going on in Iran isn't laughable at all.

Robin Leach On Obama's Socialist Tendencies

Robin Leach, known for the TV programme "Lifestyle of the Rich and Famous" has some interesting things to say about Obama's goal to increase taxes on the rich.

Regarding Obama:

And for as long as you have a president who is whipping up this racial war and this economic divide, which he is doing quietly, but some of us see through it, you begin to realize that level the playing field is truly socialism.

Yad Vashem. Holocaust Remembrance Day. 6 plus million dead.

Lest we forget.

The Saudi Art Scene: Pushing art's limits in the Kingdom

Who knew Saudi Arabia had an art scene. Pretty darn progressive, considering, although none of the art projects looked that controversial.

"Edge of Arabia" Exhibit, in Jeddah, is the first major contemporary art show held in the ultra conservative Kingdom.

Check out artist Ahmad Angawi's dreadlocks. Who would have thought.

Afghan Taliban Asks Muslim World To Donate To Their Jihad Fund

The Taliban in Afghanistan have gone hi-tech. Though they might be hiding out in caves on the Pakistan/Afghanistan border, they actually have their own dedicated website, Voice of Jihad, that primarily serves as a means of reporting and glorying in all the infidel casualties that they're responsible for.  VOJ also has a  forum where you can 'ask a Taliban' a question.  But that's not all, they also have two email addresses (gmail and yahoo), and two cell phone hotlines where you can donate money to the cause. Yes, apparently they are in "desperate" need of funds to continue their jihad against the "infidel invaders" and the masses of fellow Afghans who just so happen to be in the way.

According to their on-line appeal:

This Islamic land is in the tyrannical grip of the combative infidel enemy, posing the greatest threat to the entire Muslim world.

As a result, in the light of Islamic sharia, all Muslims everywhere are duty-bound to join the Jihad with money and soul.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan which stood up with Muslim Ummah’s physical and financial support, are still waging legitimate Jihad single-handedly with mere help from common sincere Islam-loving masses and is in dire need of financial assistance from the Muslim brothers worldwide for its military and non-military expenditures.

What may come as surprise, well worthy of mention, is the fact that the Jews and Christians in order to prolong and win the prevailing war on the ground, keep raising and collecting funds from their people in every corner of the world and calling on meetings and conferences for the very purpose.

Similarly, the Muslims, too, out of their true spirit of faith are not to forget their Muslim brothers defending and upholding the truth in Afghanistan and extend a helping hand in the form financial aid in the same way as they take part in Jihad physically.

Christians and Jews raising funds for the Western jihad against Muslims in Afghanistan?  Right.

Then comes the 'your damned to hell if you don't' guilt trip:

However, what if you were not prepared to fight in the way of Allah, either financially or in soul ? Prophet (sallallu alaihe wa salaam) says in Sahi Muslim "One who died but did not fight in the way of Allah nor did he express any desire or determination for Jihad died the death of a hypocrite."

Thus, save yourself from a greater hardship in the Hereafter and protect yourself against hellfire.

There is no life worth living except the life of the Hereafter and our hereafter depends on our present.

Let us save up for our Hereafter by doing our share of Jihad responding to the call of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and offer our monetary aid and donation to the financial officials of the Islamic Emirate so that it may be used to meet the requirements of the Jihad and Mujahideen fighting the invading forces on the ground in appropriate ways.

And here's the contact info:

In case of any contributions, please contact the financial commission of Afghanistan on the following Email address.

They get most of their funding from the booming opium trade, and more than likely some funds come from Pakistan (though the government denies it), but I guess they want more so they can keep killing those kafirs (non-Muslims).

And Afghan President Hamid Karzai and Barack Obama think we can negotiate a peace treaty with the Taliban?

Dog Wars- Obama's Dog Eating Days versus Romney's Dog On The Rooftop Road Trips

Mitt Romney and family have been receiving a lot of flak for strapping Seamus (the dog) in his carrier (equipped with a windshield ) to the roof of their Chevy Caprice station wagon back in the 1980s during vacation road trips.  One particular incident has garnered the most criticism:  in 1983, while driving twelve hours from Boston to Ontario, Canada, Seamus got 'the runs' and pooped all over himself and the car windows.   Apparently, Mitt stopped at a gas station hosed the doggy and car down, strapped him back up on the roof and continued down the road. Ann Romney has defended her husband claiming Seamus "loved" his rooftop road trips- which is open to debate, and since Seamus is dead and doggy's don't speak, we'll never know. But, because of his questionable dog transport method democrats have been attempting to paint Romney as callous and insensitive.

Back in January David Axelrod, Obama's advisor, tweeted “How loving owners transport their dogs,”  along with a picture of Barack and Bo, the Obama dog. That tweet along with continued criticism of Romney has sparked a virtual on-line 'dog war' thanks to the Daily Caller's post on Obama's Indonesian dog-eating days (excerpt from his book Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance).
:

“With Lolo, I learned how to eat small green chill peppers raw with dinner (plenty of rice), and, away from the dinner table, I was introduced to dog meat (tough), snake meat (tougher), and roasted grasshopper (crunchy). Like many Indonesians, Lolo followed a brand of Islam that could make room for the remnants of more ancient animist and Hindu faiths. He explained that a man took on the powers of whatever he ate: One day soon, he promised, he would bring home a piece of tiger meat for us to share.”

Yeah, I know, he was a young boy and kids don't always get to choose what they do or don't eat, but Westerners aren't into dog meat and it's probably something he should have kept to himself. And if you're going to shove it, expect to get shoved back, and that shoving has come from the conservative blogosphere.

Naturally many took to the twittersphere:

Here's more.

And they hit photoshop:

Transporting  your dog on the roof of your car is pretty stupid, but so is writing about eating dog meat, even if it was decades ago.

Bye Bye Egyptian Islamists- Salafi and Muslim Brotherhood Candidates Lose Presidential Election Appeal

The three stooges- al-Shater, Suleiman and Abu Ismail

Khairat al-Shater, the Muslim Brotherhood presidential wannabee, who claimed he would impose Shariah (Islamic) law on Egypt if elected, isn't going to have that opportunity.  Neither is Hazem Salah Abu Ismail, the Salafist preacher who said he would also force women to wear the hijab (Islamic veil) or change creed.  Those two, along with 8 other hopefuls, have been barred from running in the upcoming Egyptian presidential election this coming May. The 10, including Omar Suleiman (Mubarak's former spy chief), were given 48 hours to appeal, but lost.

Abu Ismail was ruled out because his mother held U.S. citizenship, the commission said, though he has fiercely denied this and has accused the authorities of conspiring against him. His blend of hardline Islam and revolutionary zeal has won him an enthusiastic following.

Suleiman, one of Hosni Mubarak's closest aides and his deputy in his last days in power, had been ruled out because he had too few of the voter endorsements candidates are required to present, according to the state news agency.

Shater had been disqualified because of a past criminal conviction. Like many other Brotherhood leaders, Shater had spent time behind bars for his association with a group that was officially outlawed under the Mubarak administration.

The committee also upheld its disqualification of Ayman Nour, a liberal who came a distant second to Mubarak in the 2005 presidential election.

Nobel Laureate and reform leader Mohamed ElBaradei pulled out in January, and the only female candidate, Bothaina Kamel, dropped out after failing to get enough signatures, though she has no regrets.

The Egyptians will have 23 candidates to choose from come May 23 and 24, and it's anticipated there will be a probable run-off in June. Let's hope they choose the right leader. At least the most problematic Islamist candidates have been eliminated, although I'm sure this isn't the end of them.

On July 1,  the Egyptian people will finally be under civilian rule.

Afghan Taliban Commander Demands $100 Reward Money For His "Own" Capture

Here's another Darwin Award contender, this time out of Afghanistan.  I realize the bulk of Taliban fighters are uneducated and ignorant, but this is priceless.

Mohammad Ashan was a wanted man in Paktika province.  He's a pea-brained Taliban commander who had his face plastered on posters with  a $100 finders fee on his head. He's only a mid-level commander, so maybe that's why the reward offer was so low. But one day last week, Ashan, poster in hand, walks up to the local police checkpoint in Sar Howza district demanding the reward money- for his capture. You see, Ashan was allegedly behind several recent attacks, so Afghan security forces posted the "Be on the Lookout" posters (emblazoned with his name and face) all over the district.

Some interesting comments from U.S. Officials regarding Ashan's actions :

“improbable stupidity,”
“This guy is the Taliban equivalent of the ‘Home Alone” burglars,”
“Clearly, the man is an imbecile.”

When U.S. troops went to confirm that Ashan had in fact come forward to claim the finder’s fee, they were initially incredulous.

“We asked him, ‘Is this you?’ Mohammad Ashan answered with an incredible amount of enthusiasm, ‘Yes, yes, that’s me! Can I get my award now?’” recalled SPC Matthew Baker.

A biometric scan confirmed that the man in Afghan custody was the insurgent they had been looking for.

He, of course, was arrested. Thank God for stupidity.

The Media's Whitewashing of Muslim Persecution of Christians by Raymond Ibrahim

A very interesting article by Raymond Ibrahim (Gatestone Institute) about the mainstream media's shameful whitewashing of Christian persecution by Muslims.

While the MSM may report the most frugal facts concerning Christian persecution, they utilize their entire arsenal of semantic games, catch phrases, and convenient omissions that uphold the traditional narrative—that Muslim violence is anything but a byproduct of the Islamic indoctrination of intolerance.

When it comes to Muslim persecution of Christians, the mainstream media (MSM) has a long paper trail of obfuscating. While they may eventually state the bare-bone facts—if they ever report on the story in the first place, which is rare—they do so after creating and sustaining an aura of moral relativism that minimizes the Muslim role.

In short, while the MSM may report the most frugal facts concerning Christian persecution, they utilize their entire arsenal of semantic games, catch phrases, and convenient omissions that uphold the traditional narrative—that Muslim violence is anything but a byproduct of the Islamic indoctrination of intolerance.

Tunisia's Islamist Government Wants Bikini-Clad Tourists

Tunisia needs tourism for its economy to thrive. 7 million people visited the world famous pristine beaches, desert and  historical/cultural sites in 2010, but only 5 million in 2011 after the Islamists overwhelmingly won control of the parliament. That's a loss of over one third of tourist dinars, and the Islamists are worried. So Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali (of the Ennahda Party) wants to reassure potential tourists that nothing will change under an Islamist leadership, and that they can bring their bikinis and suntanable bodies to his country with no problems.

“We will respect the traditions of our visitors in their food, and clothing and lifestyle,” Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali said at a conference to promote tourism held on the island of Djerba, known for its white sandy beaches and luxury spas. "Unfortunately, some want to paint Tunisia as a jungle and sow fear of the Ennahda government but this does not reflect reality and the proof is that these critics speak freely."

He even allowed alcohol at the opening ceremony, just to prove he was sincere. But Ennahda has an obvious public relations problem considering most Islamists are not moderate (if there's such a thing), and most of us, when we think of Islamists, think of Sharia and all its ugly trappings. But Jebali wants the world (and his own people) to know that they have no intention of establishing Sharia law in Tunisia.

“We want to reassure everyone and even our own people that there is nothing to fear from freedom and democracy."
Of course, there are still hard-core Islamists who are fighting to impose Sharia, and will probably continue to do so until they get their way. But here's hoping those tourist dollars are important enough to stave off the total Islamization of Tunisia.

Pakistan- Man Honor Kills Divorced Cousin For Having 'Suspicious Character'

Watch out if you have a 'suspicious' character in Pakistan. And you're female.

21 year-old Mehwish was divorced by her husband Imran because of her 'suspicious character".  Then her cousin Karamat murdered her after an altercation where he told her that her alleged 'suspicious character" had brought shame to his family.

Yes, that's all it takes to get yourself killed in a region where 'honor' is worth more than a human life.

An FIR was registered at Police Station Housing Colony on the complaint of Kausar Bibi, mother of the deceased, against Karamat on the charge of section 302 of Pakistan Penal Code, said Station House Officer (SHO) Inspector Zahid Khan.

Cousin Karamat has yet to be arrested, though police claim they are doing what they can to apprehend him.

Four Pakistanis Including A Child Burned In Acid Attack

Some people in Pakistan don't sue to get back at folks they've had problems with. Nope, no Judge Judy for them,  they just use the weapon of choice in that region- acid. Because acid will make the lives of their adversaries a living hell.

And they certainly don't care if the victims are women or children, as evidenced in the latest case near Lahore:

Four people, including two women and a child, were burnt in an acid attack over an enmity near Taunsa bypass on Sunday, say Sadar policeTwo assailants threw the deadly liquid on Nawaz, Hajra Bibi, Nusrat Bibi and Wasim who were going on a motorcycle.

The police said Aslam and his accomplice threw acid on them and fled the scene.

An onlooker called Rescue 1122 officials who shifted the acid attack victims to Dera District Headquarters Hospital.

Sadar Station House Officer Javed said the incident was the result of an old enmity.

Just easier to maim them for the rest of their lives.

Rick Santelli Bashes The Buffet Rule

CNBC on-air editor Rick Santelli lashes out against the Buffett Rule

Most of my "99%"er cohorts agree with Obama's assessment that the top money makers need to be paying more taxes. But what they don't realize is that if all those wealthy patrons of the arts are taxed more, the first thing they will do away with is funding the arts. The economy has already hit the performing arts industry very hard, with losses of many theatres (some major) nationwide. I predict there will be many more going belly up, if the Buffett Rule goes into effect. Most of us are already scrambling to find work to keep up with our insurance, fewer theatres will make it even more difficult to qualify.

Why doesn't Buffett  just donate a bunch of his cash to the government to help lower the deficit? But just like all those other 'patriotic millionaires' who called for higher taxes but refused to donate to the treasury department, Buffett would never think of parting with his millions.

Oxford Muslim Sex Trafficking Gang Child Victims More Than Double

Victims of the Muslim sex trafficking gang in Oxford, England have more than doubled. There are now 50 girls from the ages of 11 to 16 who allegedly were drugged and then sold into prostitution.

An Oxford police sting, Operation Bullfinch, netted 13 men- 6 of whom were Asian. In several cases it was a family affair: two sets of brothers. Sickeningly, several of the men are fathers themselves.

Father of two Kamar Jamil, aged 26 years, of Summertown, Oxford, who is charged with four counts of rape, two counts of arranging the prostitution of a child, one count of making a threat to kill and one count of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, has since been granted conditional bail by the court.

Zeshan Ahmed, 26, is charged with ten counts of engaging in sexual activity with a child.

Anjum Dogar, 30, is charged with one count of conspiring to rape a child, one count of arranging prostitution of a child and one count of trafficking.

His brother, Akhtar, 31, is charged with three counts of rape, one count of conspiring to rape a child, three counts of arranging the prostitution of a child, one count of making a threat to kill and one count of trafficking.

Mohammed Karrar, 37, has been charged with two counts of conspiracy to rape a child and one count of supplying a Class A controlled drug to a child.

His brother Bassan, a 32-year-old father of two, is charged with one count of raping a child in 2006.

Several others have been arrested, a man (39) and woman (40) who were thought to have been involved in 'grooming' the young girls, but they were both released-the woman, without being charged. The man was released on bail and expected to return in May.

This isn't just about trafficking, this is also pedophilia.

So much for Muslim piety.  Hypocrites.

Welcome To Belgistan: Shariah4Belgium Demands Shariah Law

Those promoting global shariah are still at it. Anjem Choudhary's Shariah4UK and Shariah4america websites might no longer be up and running, banned in their respective countries, but they're still advocating for shariah law. India's Shariah4hind was also banned, but they still have their  twitter account.  However,  Shariah4belgium and Shariah4holland are still going strong. [Update:4/18/13- Shariah4belgium is no longer up and running.]

Those who want to establish Islamic law around the world might be a small group, but they are vocal and intimidating and they will do anything to replace your laws with theirs.

This is what Shariah4hindu posted in a press statement, when it was still active:

It includes paying Jizya (as compensation to Muslims who will protect them), not building any temples as Islam prohibits 'bad things', ban on celebrating Diwali, Christmas etc., ban on holding public meetings, wearing different clothes, not raising houses above muslim houses etc.

Europe is pretty much doomed. We need to make sure the same thing doesn't happen in the U.S.

Kuwait Parliament Approves Death Penalty For 'Cursing God'

Jail time for insulting Islam isn't enough for the Kuwaiti government, they now want your head, so the parliament just passed a provisional amendment that mandates the death penalty for blasphemy. Now if you curse God, Mohammad or his wives you'll pay with your life.

Forty-six MPs, including cabinet ministers, voted for the key amendments that will come into effect only after another round of voting and government approval. The second and final vote will take place in two weeks.

Four Shiite MPs voted against the law, a pro-Shiite Sunni lawmaker abstained, while two MPs refused to vote.

Shiite MPs have demanded that the new amendments also enforce the death penalty for anyone who curses their sect’s 12 revered Imams, but the Sunni- dominated parliament rejected their requests.

Apparently, they want to take major steps backwards by joining their Saudi and Pakistani brothers in instituting the death penalty.  The move was prompted by the arrest of a Shiite man, Hamad al-Naqi, who allegedly cursed Mohammad (and others) on his twitter account, although he denies it. Al-Naqi has yet to go to trial, but I'm sure those MPs would be pretty darn happy to get this law in place before he gets his day in court.

Moroccan Teen Forced To Marry Rapist Did Not Commit Suicide, Was Forced To Drink Poison

Last month Moroccan rights activists were outraged after it was discovered that 16-year-old Amina al-Filali (aka Aminah al Fillaly) committed suicide by drinking rat poison as a result of being forced to marry her rapist.  In Morocco (and other Islamic countries), rapists can choose to marry their victims to avoid prosecution and jail time. This is what the rapist chose to do, and the family was forced to comply.

But now the mother has come forward claiming it wasn't a suicide but murder.

Emirates 24/7 reports the teen's mother said “My daughter told me just before her death that someone made her drink the rat poison." She did not name the person who forced the poison on her daughter, but went on to say “My daughter suffered greatly during her marriage with that man….he had not lived with her as a husband nor had he carried out his duty for her…..her husband had always mistreated her."

Hassan Al Fillaly, Aminah's father, said he objected to his daughter’s marriage to the man who raped her at knife-point, but that he bowed to tribal pressure which puts pressure on a family's honor to be preserved. Under Moroccan law the rapist was granted immunity from prosecution by marrying his victim.
Following Aminah's death there were calls for a change in the law. According to al-Akhbar, Morocco's Democratic League for Women's Rights organized a demonstration calling for a reform of the criminal code. Additionally Bassima Hakkaoui, Minister for Women and Families in Morocco's Islamic parliament, called for a debate to reform the law which protected the rapist at the expense of the raped child.

Whether the young girl committed suicide or was actually murdered by being forced to drink rat poison, she was the victim of a draconian religious law that re-victimizes women and allows men to get off  scot-free.

Will those laws change?  Probably not, at least until Islam somehow evolves and modernizes, which is doubtful.

Jesus Was a Black Muslim, says Leader of Nation of Islam Louis Farrakhan

The Nation of Islam's Louis Farrakhan has just rewritten religious history at an Alabama A & M University appearance:  Jesus was a Black Muslim.  I've heard the whole 'Jesus Christ was a black man' theory and, frankly I could care less what color his skin was, but Muslim?  So, how did he come to that conclusion?

“Because Jesus said ‘Not My will, but Thy will.’ You know what we call that in Arabic? Islam. He was a Muslim.”

Right!  The fact that Jesus and Christianity predate Mohammad and Islam, by centuries, somehow eludes his  racist, anti-Semitic, delusional, ignorant mind. Hey Farrakhan, maybe Mohammad was actually a Christian?!

Shaima Alawadi- Hate Crime, Honor Killing Or Just Plain Murder?

Shaima Alawadi is the 32-year-old Iraqi immigrant mother of five who was found beaten to a pulp in her home in El Cajon, along with a note that said  ‘Go back to your country, you terrorist.’ She died a few days later, and most everyone immediately jumped to the conclusion that it was a hate crime- that she was targeted because she was a hijab-wearing Muslim. Outraged people even created a Facebook page 'One Million Hijabs For Shaima Alawadi.

Well, it's now looking more like it was an honor killing or just plain murder, with several possible scenarios. Was it the 17-year-old daughter Fatima who was the one who found her bleeding, dying mother and called 911; the daughter who was caught 'possibly' having sex in a car with a 21-year-old male, and was very upset about a pending forced marriage to her cousin? Or was it Shaima's husband,  Kassim Alhimidi, who she was apparently planning to divorce and then getting the heck out of dodge by moving to Texas?

Then there's the fact the note was a copy, not the original, and a witness who claims they saw

a skinny dark-skinned male running west from the area of Alawadi’s house. He was described as being in his late teens to early 20s, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 150 pounds, wearing a dark blue or black hooded sweatshirt and carrying a brown doughnut-shaped cardboard box.

And Fatima's story doesn't quite add up:

Fatima and her mother were the only ones at their El Cajon home on Skyview Street when the attack occurred about 11 a.m. on March 21.

Alawadi’s husband, Kassim Alhimidi, had reportedly left to take the couple’s other younger children to school, although police state in the March 27 affidavit that his whereabouts had not yet been confirmed.

Fatima told El Cajon police that she heard her mother squeal, and 10 seconds later heard the sound of glass breaking, the affidavit said. She told police she thought her mother had dropped a plate. Ten minutes later, the daughter discovered her mother lying unconscious on the ground, near a computer, and called 911.

She didn't hear her mother's screams? According to the autopsy, the attack was "extremely violent”. Alawadi had four fractures to the skull, and she was hit in the head at least six times.  If I had my head bashed in with a tire iron, or whatever weapon was used, they'd hear me down the street.

Then there's that odd text message:

A search of Fatima’s cellphone records shows that while she was being interviewed by investigators hours after the attack, While she was being interviewed by police hours after the attack, a text was sent on Fatima's cellphone, “The detective will find out tell them (can’t) talk,” the affidavit states.

If it was indeed an honor killing, planting that note was a clever way to hide the fact by diverting attention from honor to hate crime.

Too bad they don't create a Facebook page One Million Hijabs For Honor Killings.

90-Year-Old Pakistani Woman Burns Her Daughter-In-Law Alive

People often talk about troubles with their mother-in-laws. It's hard enough dealing with some in-laws, but when you have to live with them (like many young couples do in places like Pakistan) it can be even more challenging.

25-year-old Sobia Bibi (mother of one child) got along well with her husband, but she often argued with his family.  It probably didn't help matters that he was off working in Karachi while she lived with the family in a small village near Lahore.  So on March 27, after some disagreement, Bibi's 90-year-old mother-in-law and several members of Bibi's husband's family burned her alive, as she was watching television.  Al-Arabiya doesn't mention if the house burned down, as well.

According to Sub-Inspector Muhammad Hussain, ' a case had been registered against four people', including the mother-in-law who was suspected of being inolved.

Unfortunately, this kind of thing is not an isolated incident.  Daughter-in-laws, and women in general, are as disposable as diapers in that region.

Kuwaiti Writer Gets 7 Years Jail For Insulting Shi'ite Minority

Mohammad al-Mulaifi, a Sunni Muslim Kuwaiti writer, will spend seven years of his life in jail for allegedly insulting the Shi'ite minority via Twitter. He has also been fined around $18,000.

The court said Kuwaiti Mohammad al-Mulaifi posted falsehoods about sectarian divisions in the Gulf Arab country and insulted the Shi’ite faith and its scholars with comments that damaged Kuwait’s image.

He was arrested in February and his comments triggered protests by Shi’ites, according to Kuwaiti media. His lawyer was not immediately available for comment.

But Shi'ites are also targets.  Last month a man was arrested for blasphemy, though he denies it, for insulting Mohammad, Aisha et al, also via Twitter. He claims his account was hacked, and that he would
"....never attack the Holy Prophet."

Blasphemy is punishable in Islam, but being critical of fellow Muslims?  Where is that in the Quran? And seven years for that?  I realize there is no freedom of speech in Muslim-majority countries, but come on.

This just makes it even more imperative that the push for global anti-blasphemy laws NEVER gets any traction.

15 Years For "Stealing" Teddy Bear In Dubai

Only somewhere like Dubai would an individual be sentenced to 15 years for stealing a teddy bear. I suppose the kid, a 20 year-old student from the Comoros Islands (off the coast of Africa), is lucky he won't actually lose one of his appendages, since under Shariah law thieves can lose both hands. But 15 years?  And since he claimed he was innocent, the courts could have showed some mercy since they had the option of sentencing him from 3 to 15,  but 15 years it is.

Apparently he stole the bear from a booth in a shopping mall, and then attacked a Pakistani worker who attempted to detain him. But according to the young man's lawyer, he was simply walking to his car when he saw a teddy bear on the ground and grabbed it.

Whether he did indeed willfully steal the teddy bear is irrelevant. What's notable is the severity of the sentence for a relatively harmless action.  And what if he is innocent?  Fine the kid, deport him (which is also a possibility), but 15 years is overkill.

On April 24, the student will find out his fate when the judge passes his verdict.
His lawyer argued that it made no sense for a person to steal an object worth 25 dirhams when he is able to afford a car.

Growing A Beard "Cures" ED- So Says Islam

According to the fellows below, growing a beard increases testosterone levels, so men with problems in bed are being told to grow one (and leave it there).

Uh, that would be the opposite, but Islam often seems to get things backwards.

Nasrallah's Zionist Gay Cat: Joke of the day

Hezbollah's Hassan Nasrallah crying over his Zionist gay cat. Ha!

The video comes from Blame It On The Zionists

And the original: Nasrallah crying for Imam Hussein ibn ali (the Shia's 3rd Imam)  during Ashura Commemoration a few years back.

Ahmadinejad Tells Ex-PM Of Japan: No "Atomic Bombs" For Iran,

Against the advice of both Prime Minister Yoshihiko Nodahe and Foreign Minister Koichiro Genba, Yukio Hatoyama, the Japanese ex-premier, paid a little visit to Iran's Ahmadinejad where Mahmoud told him that

“The Islamic Republic of Iran is fundamentally opposed to the atomic bomb and weapons of mass destruction.”

“Iran and Japan can exert a common effort to create a world without atomic weapons ... Difficult but humanitarian efforts will win in the end.”
This, from a man who claims there are no homosexuals or oppression of women in Iran, and that the Holocaust is a myth.

But the world is going to try to reason with the madman again.  The dates and location for the upcoming U.N. Security Council 5+1 talks, where Iran and the 5 permanent Security Council members ( China, France, UK , US, Russia) plus Germany will discuss Iran's nuclear agenda, have yet to be finalized, but expected to take place some time mid-April.

Meanwhile, Hatoyama told Mahmoud:

“International trust-building and respecting regulations are important part of the world community which should be seriously pursued.”

Trust-building with liars is not possible, and it's foolish to think it is. And respect?  It doesn't exist with the current leadership.

Ahmadinejad, as he has many times before, said the country was “ready for negotiations”, and that he had  “practical suggestions for the upcoming meeting.”  Can't wait to hear what those are.

Bottom line, you can't believe anything that comes out of Mahmoud's duplicitous mouth.

The "Love Hotel" - Evading The Morality Police In Banda Aceh

There's no stopping people in love from 'getting together', even in ultra-conservative Banda Aceh, Indonesia. Apparently there's a military-owned motel, called the 'love hotel', which is off-limits to the morality police, so it's doing a booming business amongst the not-so-overly-religious types (although there is a prayer mat in a cupboard for those who might feel a little guilty).

According to a soon-to-be divorced 45-year-old man named "Fauzi", who's a regular there with his 25-year-old girlfriend until they can get married,

"Everyone comes here. Married, not married, military, police, civilians."

Although the hotel looks like one of those flea-bag, rent-by-the-hour cheapo hotels, Fauzi doesn't seem to care.

"All I need is a bed, air conditioning and a toilet."

Unfortunately for the majority of people in Aceh, Sharia Law was instituted in 2001 as a concession from the central government to quell a rebellion in that region of Indonesia. Fauzi claims only about 10 percent of the people there want Sharia,

"and they would all be over 50."
Unmarried people caught by the Sharia police being in "close proximity" (drinking, or gambling) face public caning, fines and in some cases prison time, but a law to implement death by stoning for adultery was shot down by the governor Irwandi Yusuf.

But that won't stop young people in love.

As they say, where there's a will, there's a way.
