ISIS Militants Open Marriage Bureau For Widows and Single Women

Fancy a man with a beard, adventure, the rugged outdoors, you too can hook up with a jihadist. To facilitate the union, ISIS (the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria or whatever they're calling themselves these days), has established a "marriage bureau" for single women and widows who want to marry a militant fighting in Iraq or Syria.

The main office is based out of al-Bab in northern Syria, and according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, all the women need to do is submit their names and addresses  “and ISIS fighters will come knocking at their door and officially ask for marriage."

And it seems the "caliphate" is also now in the tourism biz.

Last week, ISIS also expanded into tourism, taking Jihadists on honeymoons and civilians to visit other parts of its “caliphate.”
Running twice-weekly tours from Syria’s Raqa to Iraq’s Anbar, ISIS buses fly the group’s black flag and play jihadist songs throughout the journey.
DailyMail UK has more on those honeymoon tours.

How about this one, gals?

Video: Syrian Kids Play 'Behead the Enemy'

Instead of playing Tag or soccer, these kiddies are having fun playing 'Behead the Enemy' in Ras al-Ayn, a desolate-looking town in northern Syria (a stronghold of the rebel factions).

No word on whether these are local kids just mimicking what they have seen and heard, or whether they are the kids of the jihadist elements fighting over there.  But check out what some of them are wearing. Someone must have given it to them.

Video- 100s of Qaeda Jihadists Headed For Syria

Hundreds of al-Qaeda jihadists entering Syria willing to fight for their 72 and slaughter other Muslims.

Apparently they're from al-Qaeda in Iraq and the Levant and are headed towards Shiite villages in Aleppo province in the north.  They don't like the Shiites so we know what their goal is.

Confessions Of A Disillusioned Syrian Rebel Fighter

Someone left a comment with a link to a video on the post I wrote about finding Syrian Islamist rebels with Sarin gas in Turkey.

It's a confession, of sorts, by a Lebanese friend of his who went to fight with the Free Syrian Army (FSA). However, he became disillusioned after witnessing atrocities perpetrated by the rebel jihadists who eventually took over his unit.

He says he got used to the jihadists arbitrarily killing Christians, Alawites or Kurds, or witnessing revenge rape of the women of men who had killed their buddies, although he, himself, did not condone the killing of "ordinary people", even those of other religions. He could also excuse his Islamist commanders using kids to spy on Assad's soldiers. But what prompted his swift return to Lebanon was when a jihadist tucked a bomb into the clothing of an unassuming child who was then blown to bits along with several of Assad's soldiers.

He also noticed that the liberated locals, although hating Assad, were not thrilled with their Islamist liberators either. He claims that many fighters who were idealistically drawn to Syria to fight for democracy and freedom- during the Arab Spring fervor- left soon after they realized the actual path the battle was taking. Many, however, have remained with the FSA, fearful of the Jihadists' revenge.

He wants a better life for Syrians and Lebanese, but he says that he doesn't want to change one dictatorship for another "where the interpreters of Shariah Law, and the Gulf monarchies which are stuck in the Middle Ages, will dictate to us their will."

This "friend" is a member of the Future Movement Party, a secular Lebanese political party headed by former Prime Minister Saad Hariri, son of the assassinated former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.

Of course, this video like so many coming out of Syria is unverifiable.  But the man seems totally disillusioned by both sides.

Watch the video (with subtitles) here.

The Battle Between Sunnis and Shiites- by Bret Stephens

The Wall Street Journal's Bret Stephens pens an interesting article about the Sunni Shiite civil war that is playing out all over the Muslim world, and the dangers of just sitting it out.

Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the prominent Sunni cleric, said Friday that Hezbollah and Iran are "more infidel than Jews and Christians." Coming from the guy who once lauded Hitler for exacting "divine punishment" on the Jews, that really is saying something.

That the war in Syria is sectarian was obvious almost from the start, despite the credulous belief that Bashar Assad ran a nonsectarian regime. That a sectarian ruling minority fighting for its life would not fold easily was obvious within months, despite happy guarantees that the regime's downfall would come within weeks. That a sectarian war in Syria would stir similar religious furies in Iraq and Lebanon was obvious more than a year ago, despite wishful administration thinking that staying out of Syria would contain the war to Syria alone.

What should be obvious today is that we are at the dawn of a much wider Shiite-Sunni war, the one that nearly materialized in Iraq in 2006 but didn't because the U.S. was there, militarily and diplomatically, to stop it. But now the U.S. isn't there. What's left to figure out is whether this megawar isn't, from a Western point of view, a very good thing.
Regarding Syria, and referring to Barack Obama:

Had he armed Syria's rebels early in the conflict, he could have empowered a moderate opposition, toppled the regime, sidelined Sunni jihadists, prevented the bloodbath we now have, stemmed the refugee crisis and dealt a sharp strategic setback to Iran—all without any U.S. military involvement.

He's absolutely right.  At the beginning, before the foreign Islamist extremists started pouring into Syria, it was just the ordinary seculars crying out for help. The West's help. Not the jihadists.  Remember the "We Miss Bush" banners in Kafrandel?  The world should have stepped in (and I don't mean physically) long before Syria turned into a battleground for the jihadists.

Video- Syrian UN Rep Talks About Rape of Women and Jordanian Cleric's Fatwa Encouraging It

The following video has two separate clips, the first is a speech by a Syrian envoy, Bashar al-Jaafri, at the United Nation  accusing the Islamist rebel forces in Syria of killing, raping, sexually assaulting and using these women and girls as sex slaves because of fatwas issued by Gulf state clerics. He also condemns the U.N. for standing by and doing nothing.

The second clip is of Jordanian Salafi cleric Yasir al-Ajlouni (who lived in Syria for 17 years) explaining one of those "sexual jihad" or "intercourse marriage" fatwas encouraging the Free Syrian Army rebels and Jihadist co-fighters to capture and enslave non-Sunni women in what he terms "Right Hand Property." He would like us to think that the goal of the "Right Hand Property" is to protect the honor of the woman who is forced into sexual slavery.  No matter how they sugarcoat it, it's still Islam-sanctioned rape.

He goes on to ask: "How do we deal with the woman that was made captive by the "Free Syrian Army" or by the Mujahideen?"  Islam has the answer with the "Right Hand Property" ruling that allows for sexual slavery during wars with the enemies of Islam. And the Syrian Alawites are considered just that- enemies.

How civilized. Capture and rape the women of your enemy, but their honor will remain intact because Islam says it's permitted through "Right Hand Property."
