FL Christian Puppeteer Jailed For Child Porn

There are sickos and hypocrites in every religion including Christianity. Take 58-year-old Ronald William Brown, a Christian ventriloquist/puppeteer based in Pinellas County, Florida, who was arrested last year and just convicted and sentenced to 20 years for possession of child porn, along with probation for life.

Ron is a pervert of particularly skeevy proportions. Homeland Security agents also found photos of bound and gagged and dead children, and he admitted to fantasies of cannibalism. Yes, Ronny confessed to discussing with Michael Arnett, another "alleged child cannibalism enthusiast,"  about "killing, dismembering and eating" a boy at the Gold Coast Church, and "..'snuffing' children as young as two," all the while purporting to be a good Christian man. He often fed kids pizza and drove them to his church. He even performed a puppet act on the Christian children's show "Joy Junction" (he looks young so it was probably quite some years ago) where puppet 'Marty' confesses that some evil kids tried to get him to look at "dirty pictures," but that he resisted because it was spiritually wrong, and even quotes from the Bible.

It seems Ron had a penchant for kiddies dating back to 1998 when some boy's underwear was found in his car after he was stopped for a traffic violation.

Twenty years doesn't seem much for someone who discussed killing and eating children, but he was not convicted on that charge.

They better keep an eye on this man when he's eventually released, if he survives, because who is to say he won't some day follow through on his fantasies.

Czech "Pastafarian" Photographed With Collander On Head For National ID

For a little levity, there's a Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster (CFSM), the followers are called Pastafarians, and adherents like to have their identity photos taken with colanders (strainers or sieves, if you prefer) perched on their heads. Some countries are actually accommodating the demands of these jokesters.

Lukas Novy, from Brno in the Czech Republic, is a Pastafarian who was allowed to get his official  ID card- with his colander headgear- because of religious equality laws in that country.

According to Pavel Zarna, City Hall spokesman:

 'The application complies with the laws of the Czech Republic where headgear for religious or medical reasons is permitted if it does not hide the face.'

Members claim to believe that an invisible alien made of spaghetti and meatballs created the universe after 'drinking heavily.'

In 2005, physics graduate Bobby Henderson, 24, from Oregon State wrote a letter about a 'Flying Spaghetti Monster' as a protest against the Kansas State Board of Education's decision to allow the teaching of intelligent fesign as an alternative to evolution in public schools.

The 'religion' arose as a response to pressure for American schools to teach the theory known as intelligent design, which some Christians favour as an alternative to natural selection and evolution. The theory argues life must have been helped to develop by an unseen power.

The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster wrote to the Kansas School Board asking for the Pastafarian version of intelligent design to be taught to schoolchildren as a way of criticising the intelligent design campaigners.

By professing belief in a supernatural entity composed of pasta and meatballs, Henderson called on 'Pastafarianism' to be given equal time in science classrooms alongside Christian theory.

CFSM claims to have thousands of Pastafarians around the world.

Iran's Khamenei Issues New Anti-Baha'i Edict

Iran's religious head honcho Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is making things even worse for followers of the banned Bahai faith, if that's at all possible. They're already severely persecuted for their religious beliefs- they are jailed for no reason, and earlier this year were banned from access to higher education.  Now Khameini is telling Iranians to "avoid all dealings" with the Baha'is.  Many fear this will lead to more arrests.

Khamenei was said to have called Baha'i adherents "deviant and misleading."  Ironic, since Sunnis consider Shiites (of which Khamenei is one) to be "deviant."

Bahrain Using Fake Twitter Accounts To Track Dissidents

Bahrain's latest way of tracking down dissidents and those critical of the monarchy: creating fake Twitter accounts of opposition leaders. It's essentially a form of entrapment. 

In Bahrain, all it takes is clicking on the wrong link to end up in jail. A new report prepared by Bahrain Watch, an activist organization critical of the ruling monarchy, details how the Bahraini government creates fake Twitter accounts to reveal the identity of anonymous anti-regime tweeps -- and then prosecutes them on the basis of "secret evidence."

Here's how it works. Dozens of shell accounts -- many designed to impersonate top figures within the Bahraini opposition -- have tweeted links to anonymous Twitter users who comment on Bahrain. The links include spyware that reveals the user's IP address, which the government can use to identify the name and street address of the person behind the account. From there, it's simple police work: The government can raid the house and build a case against those living there, usually on charges of "insulting the king." In total, Bahrain Watch found that more than 120 accounts were targeted by the government in this way.

You'd think that Anthony Weiner would have dropped out by now after revelations of more of his 'Carlos Danger' sexting were exposed, and the subsequent drop in popularity. But no, he's still hoping he'll become the next NY city mayor.  I still have no clue why people were even thinking of voting for him to begin with, considering his previous conduct. He's a total pig, but that doesn't seem to matter to some. And he doesn't seem to care that he's the latest fodder for late night. 

Even the web site Funny or Die has jumped on the Weiner-wagon creating  fake "interns wanted" posters that were plastered around Soho.

The poster pokes fun at Barbara Morgan, Weiner's communications director, who blasted former intern Olivia Nuzzi, who she called an "effing" slutbag.

Have some dignity and give up Weiner!

Moroccans Protest Pardon of Spanish Pedophile

A sixty-something Spanish pedophile, Daniel Galvin Vina, who raped 11 children (from 4 to 15) was pardoned and released by King Mohammed VI.  No wonder Moroccans are hitting the streets in protest.

The King claims ignorance, but is investigating how this could have happened. How can  you not know who you are pardoning and releasing back into the world. These countries will pardon serial pedophiles and keep bloggers who insult their leaders jailed.

Apparently, pedophiles seem to be gravitating to Morocco.

Muslim Miss Malaysia World Finalists Banned From Competition

Malaysia considers itself a moderate Muslim nation but it still adheres to a 1996 fatwa banning women from participating in beauty queen pageants. As a result, four Muslim women who were vying for a spot at the Miss World 2013 competition in Bali were not allowed to compete in the Miss Malaysia World pageant finals.

Pageant organiser Datuk Anna Lim said the Federal Territories Islamic Department (Jawi) informed her of its decision yesterday.

“Jawi director Datuk Che Mat Che Ali called me to confirm that the women cannot take part in the pageant,” Lim said.

“While the other finalists are geared for the contest, the Muslim women are left with shattered dreams. I took one look at Sara (Amelia Bernard) when she walked in today and I knew the poor girl was stressed by the controversy.

Apparently, it was a last minute decision that left the four girls devastated.

Sara, one of the contestants who was met by The Malay Mail yesterday, said she was upset with the entire fiasco.

After attending the pageant week programme at Corus Hotel, she was visibly disappointed by the outcome.

“I am sad I cannot join the others as I have always dreamt of being a beauty queen, but I have to accept the decision.”

The 20-year-old, who was the only contestant present as a guest during the training session which started yesterday, said she has yet to decide on her next course of action.

Sara had to deactivate her Facebook account because of the nasty comments she was receiving from Muslim hardliners. She believes it's because she was more vocal about her disappointment with the decision.

Sara, along with Wafa Johanna De Korte, Miera Sheikh, Kathrina Ridzuan and Sara Amelia Bernard were the four 'disqualified' Muslim finalists.

Not only were their dreams shattered at the last minute (since they somehow reached the finals without being banned), they are now also being investigated for 'insulting Islam', after criticizing the decision.

Even though there will be no bikini section during the competition, in order to not offend Indonesia- the host country- there is still a dearth of Muslim countries participating.
