This is my counter-protest against all those demonstrating against the republication, on Wednesday, of the Danish Motoons in Danish and Swedish papers. The decision to re-publish was made after a plot to murder 73-year-old Kurt Westergaard, the Danish cartoonist who created the above cartoon, was thwarted by Danish police. 2 Tunisians and a Danish citizen of Moroccan descent were arrested. Meanwhile, Westergaard and his wife have been in hiding, and under police protection for months.
An editorial in the Berlingske Tidende paper stated:
"Freedom of expression gives you the right to think, to speak and to draw what you like ... no matter how many terrorist plots there are."

It's pretty sad that people get so caught up in superstitious BS that they are more than willing to riot and kill over a cartoon of some stupid guy who lived and died over 1,000 years ago. I'm sick to death of hearing about "people of religion" (whether Muslim, Sikh, or Christian) trying to control what the rest of us read, write, draw, think, see, do or say, and I'm especially sick of them demanding special dispensation for their superstitious idiocy. These people must be stopped in their tracks with a good firm slap on the muzzle, and not acquiesed to or given exemptions to laws and rules.

Thanks for the welcome back Incog…life got in the way of blogging for awhile.
What I find unbelievable is that people in general, and much of the “intellectual elite” in particular not only find excuses for this type behavior, but attack those who speak out against it as racists. It has gotten so absurd that a gay male pron star took the “elites” at Stanford University to the intellectual woodshed over this issue. I found the article through InstaPundit and wrote about over at the Lamplighter.
Break a leg (I hope that is the correct saying)

well re-publishing this does take some guts here incog. i may have said let a dead horse lie. but that doesn't curtail the problem of not being able to speak out against islam!!!
Hi Y'all,
Nice site..
I don't think it's really about the MoToons. There are plenty of representations of Mohammed in art museums all over the world and even a number some in the Islamic world.
What I think this actually is Muslims rioting for the right not to be offended.
So far, I think they've pretty much gotten a pass on this kind of behavior. But I wouldn't be at all surprised if that were to change in the near future....in whichcase those Muslims who live inthe Westand have this attitude are going to have a bigger problem then a few inocuous `toons...
hiya Incog!..long time no see!..great read as always..My last post is in sync~!
Freedom Fighter - MoToons.
