We all know that most men's brains and their privates are inextricably linked, and perhaps that's why they have an such an impressive lack of self control (and a serious lack of clarity) when it comes to sexual matters. To risk one's family and career for an illicit sexual dalliance just proves my point. And it happens time and again.
One would think that after recent allegations of sexual misconduct from some of our illustrious members of congress, those in other visible, high profile positions would somehow control those extra-curricular activities. But nope, we now have N.Y. Governor Eliot Spitzer, DEMOCRAT, (thank you very much) caught with his proverbial pants down. And you know what? No-one seems to care that much. Why? Because he's a Democrat, after all. Had this been a Republican, the Democratic Party would be foaming at the mouth, demanding his immediate resignation. For now, he's merely contemplating it, and the rest of the party is remaining noticeably, but not surprisingly, mum. I don't expect them to condemn his behaviour, considering no-one seemed to give a dang about Bill Clinton's infamous actions with that "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" woman. We have the ex-CEO of this country having a sexual liaison with a young intern (while in office!), blatantly lying about it, and suffering no consequences. Why would they then bother censuring Spitzer? In fact, with all the scandal surrounding the Clintons, the Mrs. has actually been rewarded with the potential of becoming the next president of the U.S.A. This would never happen if the Clintons happened to be Republicans.
So this whole sordid Spitzer affair will eventually fade from public view, with perhaps a slap of a hand, and life will go on, as per usual. As it always does for the liberal left.

Hey Incog! Actually Clinton's was not just while he was in office - it was while he was "IN THE OFFICE"!!
Sad but true - although the Republican party is apparently now calling for Spitzer's resignation or he will face impeachment hearings. Again - shades of Bill Clinton?!
hey Incog..how come u dont come around any more?..:)
What a devasting story for his wife and three daughters. On some level he must have been courting this disaster. With his legal background and holier than thou reputation he certainly knew better than to leave such a trail.
I became impressed with Larry Craig's aggressive defense of himself.
hey Incog..ty for the visit girl!..thank God the creep resigned..good riddance to bad rubbish!!
MUD: Sorry to have offended... I should have stated that "in general". there are those who don't but most, and admittedly so, do.
STRAWB: Yeah.. I know.. he had a slew of women he slept around with. Def. shades of old slick willy.
KAREN: I think they're either terribly stupid, or think they are above the law. either way... stupid.
REN: really? :-)
WOMAN: Amen.
incog now all us guys ain't neanderthals when it comes to liaisons. but i can understand how women feel betrayed when any man does it. it does happen to us to though..... and when you are governed by no principle, as democrats are not, then you have shoulders shrugged at such actions.....
Spitzers family fortune is on th eorder of 500M? Hmm the wife will stick around to get her share.
PATJ: I know y'all aren't. Just generalizing..but I still hold to the fact that men think far more with their "privates" than women, even if they don't act out on it. :-) Those with moral and spiritual fortitude are more able to control those extra-curricular urges. then again, look at all those fallen preachers.
BCF: Yeah...money talks. Look at Hillary.. she stuck around for the presidency!
ahhh this debate is going to be good incog.... are you saying that men are more likely to want a roll in the hay than the poor innocent woman? now i DO NOT speak from experience because i have a face only a lady stone drunk could love... he he... but it does take 2 to tango!!!
PATJ: :-) Sure it takes 2 to tango, but I don't think women are as obsessed about it 24/7 as *most* (not all), men are.. :-) it's been proven..
proven? what, do we have a man on the street survey incog?... he he... now perception does wield itself to believe men want "it" more than woman. but we know the same hormonal ( i bet i butchered that word) desires are prevelant in the ladies as they are men. they, woman, may be better in controling them at times, but they still can be driven.... maybe we need to end this debate here. i am turning red faced as i write this.... he he!!!
PATJ: psychological studies, darlin'... and not saying women aren't sexual beings, but I will stand firm, they think less with their privates then men do. nuff said. ;-)
