Obama Makes Dalai Lama Leave By Garbage Strewn Back Door

First of all no leader of any country has the right to dictate who another government leader can or can not visit with, but China seems to feel it's entitled to do so. Chinese leaders have often made threats against anyone planning to visit with Tibet's exiled Dalai Lama, and Barack Obama has been no different. He was already denied a visit to the Oval Office last year, because of China's oversensitivity, but the threats continued when Obama decided to meet with the Dalai Lama after all. Up until the meeting today, China, like a spoiled and jealous child, relentlessly protested with threats that if Obama met with the spiritual leader ties between our two countries would be seriously jeopardized. People have had a tendency to pander to China's unfair demands about certain things including the Tibet situation, and the U.S. has been guilty of that on many occasions. I suppose it doesn't help that we owe so much of our debt to China, and we need their cooperation on many issues like North Korea and sanctions against renegade countries like Iran, but Obama finally had the balls to visit with the Dalai Lama today. Of course, it wasn't in the oval office and he was led out the back door, where the garbage is kept, like some two-bit hooker.

The least the White House could have done was to remove or cover the garbage bags before he left. Then again, perhaps that was a way to appease the Chinese- see, we won't even respect him enough to let him out the front door, or remove our trash. Such disrespect.

Thankfully, the Dalai Lama has the humbleness and grace to accept things as they are, unlike Obama's arrogance and conceit, and understood the need to keep the meeting low key. So the two Nobel Peace Prize winners, although one was undeserving of the award, met for the first time today in the map room. No reporters were allowed at the meeting, but the Dalai Lama later mentioned he had told Obama how much he admired this country's championing of "democracy, freedom, human values." Which of course, is a far cry from China's tight-fisted, oppressive, communist policies.

China, of course, considers the Dalai Lama a threat:
Although admired by millions around the world as a man of peace, the Dalai Lama is accused by Beijing of being a dangerous separatist who foments unrest in Tibet.

Ironic considering imperialist, communist China invaded Tibet in 1950, so it's not a question of separatism. Maybe some day China will grow up and stop acting like that spoiled child.

Wacky Ron Paul Wins CPAC Straw Poll?

Granted, less than a quarter of the 10,000 attending the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington, D.C. voted in the straw poll, but of those 2,400 voters a whopping 31 percent actually voted for- gasp- Texan Ron Paul, giving him the lead over Mitt Romney (former Governor of Massachusetts) who received only 22 percent. Wacky Ron Paul, who is more Libertarian than Republican, is loved by conservative youth and considering that approximately 54 percent of the attendees were between 18 and 25, one can see how Paul might have won. Apparently, he's also popular with the members of the Tea Party Movement, who are fed up with Washington, but who certainly have better choices then Ron Paul.

Sarah Palin came in third with 7 percent, Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota with 6 and Indiana's Mike Pence with a measly 5 percent.

They were followed by former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who tied at 4 percent. Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels, former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, South Dakota Sen. John Thune and Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour rounded out the results.

Five percent of participants voted for "Other" and 6 percent was undecided.
We have 3 more years until 2012, and anything can happen between now and then, but I know for sure, I will not be voting for Ron Paul if he happens to receive the Republican nomination.

So Much For Free Speech: Israel Ambassador Michael Oren Heckled By Muslim Students At UC Irvine

Free speech and civilized debate is not alive and well and living in these United States of America, if what happened at UC Irvine several weeks ago is any indication.

Israel's Ambassador to the United States, American born author, scholar and historian Michael B. Oren, was invited to speak at U.C. Irvine regarding U.S./Israel relations, from a historical perspective. Naturally it was opposed by the Muslim Students Union, and there was anticipation that there might be some disruptions, but what university officials had hoped would be a respectful albeit spirited discussion, turned into major disruptive, one-sided protest. Oren was incessantly heckled by the Muslim students as he addressed an audience of community members, students and faculty on February 8. He was barely able to get through his speech without being rudely interrupted. Every few minutes a student would stand up and shout some predetermined, anti-Israeli invective including "Michael Oren, propagating murder is not an expression of free speech!" and other, often unintelligible, words of protest. These verbal attacks were immediately followed by a loud cacophony of shrieks, hollers and clapping. Each outburst was followed by admonitions from both Oren and faculty members for civility and respect, which obviously was not part of their agenda.

The police escorted the first heckler out, but thereafter the punks proudly made their way to the police to be escorted out. Eventually the rest of the large, ragtag group of young males and females, both with and without hijab, left en masse to continue their disruptions outdoors. 11 or 12 of the students were arrested although they were later released. Neither the threat of being arrested nor being suspended or thrown out of school deterred them from their class-less actions. Oren, on the other hand, was a class act throughout the whole ordeal. The students had been told they would have the opportunity to ask questions and debate the issues once the speech was over, but they obviously had no intention of doing that.

What one woman was quoted as saying pretty much sums up the whole situation: “Every time there’s an event they’re opposed to, they disrupt it,” said Pam Chozen, a Laguna Beach resident who said she felt concerned for her personal safety. “No one from the other side would think of disrupting an MSU event.”

And so it is. We afford them their right to free speech, but it's not reciprocated. That has to change!

The True Face Of Islam- Brit MP talks Of Muslims Taking Over Parliament

The following video is of British MP Shahid Malik, Justice Minister, talking about the importance of the increasing amount of Muslim MPs in the U.K. government, and how in time the whole Parliament will be Muslim. He's also confident that in 30 years or so, there will be a Muslim Prime Minister.

Now imagine if a Christian, Jew, Hindu or Buddhist had said the exact same thing.

This is what is called stealth jihad.

Religion has no place in politics. What a man/woman's religion is should have no bearing on whether they should be voted into office or not.

Ahmadinejad's Website Hacked

Who knows who hacked Ahmadinejad's website, with the following, but whoever did has a wonderful sense of humour. This is a tad old, dating back to January, but thought it was worth a post.

"Dear God,

In 2009 you took my favourite singer - Michael Jackson, my favourite actress - Farrah Fawcett, my favourite actor - Patrick Swayze, my favourite voice - Neda.

"Please, please, don't forget my favourite politician - Ahmadinejad and my favourite dictator - Khamenei in the year 2010.

Thank you."

I don't normally condone praying for someone's death, as so many on the left are wont to do, but I don't think the world would miss a lunatic, religious fanatic with nuclear capabilities who is intent on creating the third world war so his precious 12th Imam can return to the world stage.

It was apparently up and viewable early Tuesday a.m., but seems to no longer be available. In fact, I just tried clicking on www.ahmadinejad.ir and wasn't able to access the page. It was cached on google, but is no longer there.

The person has major cojones.

Enough With The Snow: Minnesotans For Global Warming Sing "Frozen Wasteland"

Amidst all the recent scandals that have emerged, and as both red and blue states turn white under record breaking amounts of snow- our thoughts turn to Global Warming.

Anyone know where Al Gore is? Maybe we should send out an amber alert.

The following is a brilliant video by Minnesotans For Global Warming, entitled "Frozen Wasteland", sung to the tune of The Who's "Teenage Wasteland".
