Conspiracy Nutters Claim Malaysian Air M17 False Flag Operation

It didn't take long for the conspiracy theory wackos to crawl out of the woodwork regarding the tragic shooting down of Malaysian Airlines Flight M17 over the Ukraine. No-one knows for sure what exactly happened, and everyone is pointing fingers- the Ukrainian government, the pro-Russian Ukrainian separatists, the separatists with the help of Russia, Russia. Much of the evidence points to the separatists, and that perhaps it was an accident- they goofed up thinking they were targeting a Ukrainian military plane. But bottom line, 298 innocent souls were blown out of the sky by a Russian surface-to-air missile. However, separatist rebel commander Igor Girkin aka Strelkov thinks otherwise. He believes those 298 bodies were already dead, placed there by the Ukrainians. Girkin claims witnesses told him "a significant number of the bodies weren’t fresh" and some had no blood. I'm not sure how they could determine that burned and disintegrated bodies were not fresh, but they have. He also questioned the blood serum and medications found at the site, obviously unaware that there were a slew of HIV-AIDS doctors and researchers on that flight. Raw Story says the "theory" is similar to an episode of a popular British TV series

If the rebel leader’s assertion sounds like a plot twist from a particularly far-fetched spy film, that’s because it was. In an episode of the U.K. TV series “Sherlock,” an airplane loaded with corpses was brought down from the sky in order to convince a group of saboteurs that their encryption codes had not been cracked by the government.
That's the first of our conspiracy theories.

Then there's the obligatory 'the Zionists' did it narrative, and other crap.

The Central Bankers did it to start WWIII.

US/NATO/Israel did it.

To be honest, I had no stomach to plow through most of the above b.s. I skimmed through much of it.

Sadly, many of these wackos are conservative, usually racist, bigots. Not all of them are uneducated, which is what is most frightening. And they are totally predictable.  You can rest assured that anything that happens in this world will be blamed on a false flag operation.

UPDATE: Jews Must "Register" In Pro-Russian East Ukraine Or Face Deportation

If things aren't bad enough in the Ukraine, Jews are now being told by pro-Russian militants who have taken control of the government in Donetsk to "register" or get out.

Jews emerging from a synagogue say they were handed leaflets that ordered the city's Jews to provide a list of property they own and pay a registration fee "or else have their citizenship revoked, face deportation and see their assets confiscated," reported Ynet News, Israel's largest news website.

[snip]

The leaflets bore the name of Denis Pushilin, who identified himself as chairman of "Donetsk's temporary government," and were distributed near the Donetsk synagogue and other areas, according to the report.
Pushilin acknowledged that flyers were distributed under his organization's name in Donetsk, but denied any connection to them, Ynet reported in Hebrew.

Every Jew over the age of 16 will be required to register with the Commissioner for Nationalities.

They claim the reason for demanding Jews register is because of their support for Stepan Bandera, who led the fight for Ukrainian independence after WW II, and their current opposition to the pro-Russian militants in East Urkaine.

What about all the others who oppose a pro-Russian annexation? Why single out the Jews?

The Jews need to pay a $50.00 registration fee and  provide:

"ID and passport are required to register your Jewish religion, religious documents of family members, as well as documents establishing the rights to all real estate property that belongs to you, including vehicles."

No-one seems clear as to the origins of the leaflet- whether it originated from the pro-Russian camp or a "splinter group."

Any of this sound familiar? What next, yellow star patches?

More on the story here.

UPDATE 4/17- 5:18 pm:

There are some who believe this might be fake.  Of course, those happen to be people like Denis Pushilin, aka the “people’s governor" of Donetsk, whose signature was on the pamphlet, but who swears he was not involved, and blames it on provocateurs. Time will reveal who is really behind it. Point is it happened.  Doesn't matter who.

Video- The Ever Changing European Borders From 1000 AD to 2012

Not quite sure how accurate it is, but here's an interesting video showing how drastically the borders have changed in Europe over the centuries, from 1000 AD to 2012.

Those borders are about to change as Russia invades Crimea, yes, lets call it what it is. And the world calls us imperialists.

Air Freshener Withdrawn From Ukraine After Complaints About Brand Colors

It doesn't take much these days for people to take offense to one thing or another. This time it's Ukrainians and a toilet freshener. What would offend them you might ask? The branding colors of the BrefDuo Stripes freshner. They're blue and yellow. The same color of their flag. And Sweden's. Though I don't see Swede's complaining.

Now you might think they would be royally pissed off had it been, say, a Russian company that manufactures the toilet freshner, but it's actually a German company, and enough Urkainians have complained that Henkel pulled it from Ukrainian shelves, and issued an apology on its Facebook Page:

First of all, we wish to stress again that we are sorry if people feel offended by the design of our new Bref Duo Stripes. The color blue, intended to stand for water and hygiene, and the yellow color for lemon scent are common for this type of products. However, we have carefully listened to the comments of our consumers in Ukraine as we listen to our consumers in all countries in which we operate and take their concerns very seriously. We respect our consumers' feelings and have therefore taken the appropriate steps to immediately discontinue the distribution of the product in its current color design. We have also cancelled the respective TV ad. We apologize for any irritation our product may have caused.
Now I thought this might be a joke (am not going to fall for anything bogus, again!), but there is a TV ad, and enough complaints on the Henkel FB page to warrant taking this seriously. There are even calls for boycott.

Sigh,

Ukraine Commies Pay People To Attend Rally

The Communist Party is so popular in the Ukraine it had to pay people to attend a rally celebrating the 95th anniversary of the Bolshevik Revolution on November 7 in Kyiv (Kiev). Some were being paid a paltry $3 to $5.00.

RFE/RL correspondent Bohdan Krasavtsev took the offer, but returned the money afterward. (Produced by Bohdan Krasavtsev, Dmytro Barkar, and Oksana Andruschak)
