German Imam Tells Flock Women Should Stay Home and Never Say No To Sex

One of MEMRI's latest videos.  A Muslim imam at the al-Nur Mosque in Berlin, Germany, tells his flock that a woman needs to be confined to the home to service her husband and children, she must have sex with her husband whenever he wants, even if she has her period, claiming that "there is nothing to prevent her husband from using her body for pleasure." This is in Germany, not Yemen or Saudi Arabia or Afghanistan, German!

German Journalist Who Spent Time With ISIS Paints Bleak Picture

74-year-old German journalist Jürgen Todenhöfer was allowed to spend 10 days with Islamic State of Iraq and Syria jihadis in ISIS governed areas of Syria and Iraq, and he doesn't paint a very pretty picture, especially regarding the outcome of the war against the Islamic State (IS), at least the way we're handling it now.

After months of negotiations with the militants on internet telephony provider Skype, German journalist Jürgen Todenhöfer, 74, began his journey to ISIS-held territory through Turkey to the Iraq's second largest city of Mosul, which ISIS conquered in June.

Todenhöfer - who is planning to publish a summary entitled “10 days in the Islamic State” on Monday - claimed that the group is “much stronger and much more dangerous” than the West realizes.

During his time spent in ISIS-held territory, Todenhofer described to German news website Der Tz an atmosphere of “almost ecstatic enthusiasm that I have never encountered in any other warzone,” with “hundreds of willing [foreign] fighters” arriving every day.

Todenhöfer believes airstrikes are pretty much useless in defeating a very strong, determined and dangerous enemy of the Western world.

From his Facebook Page - after his 10 day visit to Mosul, Iraq and Raqqa, Syria, he came away with 7 troubling impressions (google translated from German and liberally edited, with comments, by yours truly).

 1) the West has dramatically UNDERESTIMATED the risk and threat of ISIS. IS fighters are much smarter and far more dangerous than our leaders give them credit for. In the 'Islamic State', there is an almost noise-like enthusiasm and confidence in victory as I have yet to experience in war zones. The IS fighters are convinced they can move mountains with their totalitarian beliefs and demonstrative brutality. In Mosul, less than 400 IS fighters fought 25,000 highly equipped Iraqi soldiers and militia. The IS has conquered in a few months, a territory that is larger than Great Britain. In comparison Al- Qaeda is a dwarf.

2.) THE INFLUX OF NEW FIGHTERS TO ISIS IS GROWING EVERY DAY. I spent two days in an IS training camp close to the Turkish border. On both days, each time, about 50 fighters from all over the world arrived. Not just young men, who had failed in their home countries. Many successful, enthusiastic young people from the United States, England, Sweden, Russia, France, Germany, etc. One had just passed his State exam a few weeks before and had been admitted to practice law in court. But he would rather fight in the 'Islamic State'.

3.) THE 'ISLAMIC STATE' SEEMS - AS FAR AS I CAN TELL AFTER 10 DAYS ASSESSMENT- LIKE OTHER TOTALITARIAN STATE FUNCTIONING COUNTRIES OF THE REGION. This is especially true in the area of internal security and the  social welfare sector- even if it doesn't meet our Western standards, and certainly not mine. The Sunni population in the Iraqi part of the 'Islamic State' now seems unopposed to the new State. Because they prefer it to the previously prevailing discrimination and oppression by the Maliki regime in Baghdad. However, only the Sunnis living in Mosul after the escape of all Christians, Shiites and Yazidis, and countless executions.

4.) THE GOAL OF ISIS IS NOT ONLY THE CONQUEST OF THE MIDDLE EAST AND EVENTUALLY THE REST OF THE WORLD, BUT THE LARGEST 'RELIGIOUS CLEANSING' IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND. The IS wants- with the exception of the so-called religions of 'the book' (the "IS Islam", Judaism and Christianity) - to kill all non-believers and apostates and to enslave their women and children. All Shiites, Yazidi, Hindus, atheists and polytheists should die. Hundreds of millions of people are to be eliminated in the course of this religious 'cleaning'.
Also all moderate Muslims who believe in democracy, should be killed. Because they follow human laws over the laws of God from the standpoint of the IS. This also applies to - after a successful conquest - the democratically-minded Muslims in the Western world.

The only chance for  'infidels', to escape the death, is voluntary repentance and voluntary conversion to 'True Islam'. Represented by IS only. And only as long as their countries are not captured.
Jews and Christians are tolerated, but must pay a fixed tax of protection [jizya] of several hundred dollars per year. Muslims have to pay the Zakatsteuer [no translation for that], which may be lower for poor Muslims.

I don't need to stress that there was any agreement between me and the IS in any of these points. And that I have made that very clear countless times. [Not sure what he means by that]

5.) FROM MY PERSPECTIVE, ISIS IS A 1 PERCENT MOVEMENT WITH THE EFFECT OF A NUCLEAR TSUNAMI. The Islam IS is preaching, 99 percent of our world's 1.6 billion Muslims reject. As a Christian who has read the Quran several times, it does not make sense to me, what ISIS is teaching about Islam. I got to know above all a merciful Islam while reading the Koran. 113 of 114 Suras begin with the words: "In the name of Allah, the most gracious and most merciful". I felt none of this mercy with the IS.

6) BOMBS AND MISSILES WILL NOT DEFEAT IS. The city of Mosul, for example, is dominated by IS with about 5,000 fighters. To succeed, you would have to bomb the whole of Mosul and reduce it to rubble, which would kill tens of thousands of civilians. Bombings were and always are terrorist breeding programs in the Middle East. See IS! Also IS is the child of George W. Bush's international illegal Iraq war. [Right, blame Bush]

Only the moderate SUNNI Arabs can stop IS, not the West. They have done it once before in 2007. At the time they destroyed the 'Islamic State in the Iraq (ISI), the predecessor organization of the IS. But the former ISI was much weaker than the current IS. [Good luck getting the Arabs to take control] 

The moderate Iraqi Sunnis would oppose the IS but only if they were fully reintegrated into Iraqi society, after they were expelled by the US and Shiite Iraqis in 2003 during the war in Iraq. After that, it does not look at the time. [not sure what that means] Nevertheless, this is the only feasible solution to stop the IS.

In Syria, there are solutions. However, the West would have to correct its totally unrealistic assessment of the situation. It has quite simply gone too far in Syria.

7.) IN THE WEST THERE IS SPECULATION ABOUT TERROR THREATS BY RETURNEE IS FIGHTERS. I can not and will never exclude this risk. Within the 'Islamic State', however, returnees are considered losers "who have not made life in the 'Islamic State'". Therefore, they're probably not the main threat, even though there was a plot by a returnee in Brussels. A greater danger could come from IS sympathizers who have not yet travelled.

No one should down play terrorist threats in Germany. But one should not exaggerate either. After all, in Germany there has never been a German who was killed by Islamists. [not sure if that's true or not] But many German Muslims have been killed by German right-wing extremists. [not sure about that either] Groups such as Pegida provide the facts. The IS,  is interested in an escalation between Muslims and non-Muslims in Germany. The IS has confirmed to me several times.

From my point of view this is the biggest threat to world peace since the cold war. [And here's more blam George Bush] We now pay the price for the attack on Iraq by George W. Bush on Iraq, folly barely to none. 

He's lucky he returned home safe and sound with his head intact.

Germany Could Have 7,000 Muslim Extremists By Year End

According to Hans-Georg Maassen- head of Germany's domestic intelligence agency (BfV)- Germany is home to some 6,300 Salafi radical Muslims. The ranks of Islamic extremists have jumped from 3,800 in 2011 to 4,500 in 2012. About 450 Germans are currently fighting for the Islamic State (aka ISIS) in Syria and Iraq. Authorities believe that by the end of 2014, the numbers could rise to 7,000 or so.

Speaking in late August in Berlin, Maassen said young Muslims are attracted to Islamic State (IS) because of its brutality. The militant group has become infamous for beheading captives amongst other things. The German domestic intelligence chief also says the group formally known as ISIS, seems to be “more authentic” than Al-Qaeda.

"There is a link between the successes IS has had so far in Iraq and the activities here in Germany and the propaganda and canvassing activities aimed at young jihadists," said Maassen, which was reported by Reuters. "The Islamic State is, so to speak, the 'in' thing - much more attractive than the Nusra Front, the al Qaeda spin-off in Syria."

"What attracts people is the intense brutality, the radicalism and rigor. That suggests to them that it is a more authentic organization even than al Qaeda," he said. "Al Qaeda fades besides the Islamic State when it comes to brutality," the BfV chief added.

According to Massen, it's the disenfranchised youth that are flocking to extremist groups because they go  “from being underdogs to top dogs.”  That's obvious. The bulk are German, with around 30 percent hailing from countries like Bosnia, Turkey, Morocco. A quarter are converts.

But there are actually 43,000 Islamists living in Germany. That means at any point those 43,000 could further radicalize and become a major threat.

Germany Becoming a Haven For Radical Islam - France 24 video

Germany is becoming a haven for radical Muslim extremists- especially the Salafist-ridden city of Dusseldorf.  Many of them are converts, like Bernard Falk, who went from being a left-wing extremist to a Muslim extremist, after he converted to Islam in jail. One of his buddies is Sven Lau aka Abu Adam, ex-firefighter and former pothead. He too is a convert, and is responsible for the sharia patrols in the small town of Wuppertal. According to a Moroccan Muslim woman interviewed in a France 24 video, there are over 5,000 (and growing) radical Salafist Muslims in Germany, and she believes something must be done now to prevent the problem from becoming worse down the line.

There are estimated to be at least 400 of them fighting in Syria.

Sharia Police Roam Small City In Germany

"Sharia police" in Germany. More radicals roaming the streets of European cities. This time in Wuppertal- a small city in North Rhine-Westphalia.

A group of radical young Islamists has recently caused concern on the streets of a German city. The "Sharia police" have been observed trying to deter young Muslims from doing things like drinking or gambling.

Police in Wuppertal are seeking ways to stop the group of men who have been seen patrolling the area around the western city's main train station on several evenings recently. The bearded fundamentalists have declared the sleazy nightlife area of the city of 340,000 to be a "Sharia Controlled Zone."

The young men, who are followers of Salafism, a puritanical form of Islam, walked around the area in orange traffic safety vests with the words "Sharia police" written in English on the back.

They have also been observed distributing leaflets urging people to refrain from alcohol, drugs, gambling, attending concerts, watching pornography or visiting prostitutes.

But the government is striking back.  Apparently, the 33-year-old who is behind the patrols, though he claims they're not actually patrols, is Muslim convert, ex-firefighter Sven Lau aka Abu Adam.  More on that here.

Germany Expects Terror Threats In Near Future

With over 400 German Islamists who have made the trek to Syria and Iraq-20 of them ex-soldiers- Germany predicts returning jihadists will, at some point, commit acts of terrorism.

Unlike Britain, Germany hasn’t raised its national threat level for terrorism recently. But Hans-Georg Maassen, head of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, said in an interview broadcast Sunday that there was an “increased abstract threat” of attacks in Germany.

“We have to assume ... that there may well be people who return and commit attacks,” he said, adding that his agency is aware of at least 25 jihadists with combat experience who have already come back to Germany.

Maassen said that the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria group, which has swept into northern Iraq from Syria in recent months, has huge appeal among Muslim extremists.

“(They are) far more attractive than Jabhat al-Nursa, the al-Qaeda offshoot in Syria. What attracts people is their high brutality, their radicalism, their strictness,” Maassen said.

One wonders why those 25 jihadists haven't been arrested.

German Muslim Convert Preacher Plans A Celebration For Osama Bin Laden

Idiot of the day. Or rather idiots.  Pierre Vogel aka Abu Hamza is a German Muslim convert- a former prize boxer-turned-preacher. But he didn't just convert to Islam, he turned to Salafism, the most extreme forms of Islam.

Role of women in society?  Not his concern, after all his wife wears a niqab.

In the Spiegel video below we see that 1,100 or so mostly male Islamists have followed him to Hamburg where his goal is to convert infidels, and he manages to do quite well at it. We get to see some fool of a woman convert, and the reporters talk with a newly converted young male. When asked if he finds the teachings of vogel to be compatible with democracy, someone in the background tells him not to answer, and the kid walks away. As the reporter asks if he's not allowed to respond, two aggressive Islamists pipe in with "he is allowed, but doesn't have to."

Reporter: "You have just sent him away."
Islamist: "We don't force him."

It's quite obvious they had.

When asked what will happen to those who change their mind about converting.

"The punishment, if one dies as a non-Muslim, is: one goes to hell."

Even though Vogel publicly rejects violence and terror, claiming to be a 'peace activist', the dude is planning a remembrance celebration for Osama Bin Laden.

German Muslims Protest Butcher Shops With Decorative Pigs

Found the following info and link to the original German language article on Facebook. Apparently butcher shops in Cologne, Germany are being targeted by Muslims, mostly angry youth, who found the decorative cardboard pigs displayed in the shop windows offensive. The displays are used to advertise weekly deals.  The shop owners have been subjected to taunts, curses, threats, and their shops have been vandalized.  They have apparently removed the offending piggies.

Murat Kayman, board member of the DTIB (an organization representing over 800 German mosques) has criticized the young Muslim men, claiming they do not fully understand Islam. That even though Muslims are forbidden to eat pork, pigs are still God's creatures.

Christian Statues Are Being Vandalized In Germany

Christian statutes and religious symbols are being vandalized in the Muensterland region of Germany. Authorities have no clue who is responsible or whether it's simply vandalism or religiously motivated. But when it comes to the destruction of religious property, one can usually assume it's the latter.  And I doubt it's atheists, or Jews of Hindus or Buddhists.

Air Freshener Withdrawn From Ukraine After Complaints About Brand Colors

It doesn't take much these days for people to take offense to one thing or another. This time it's Ukrainians and a toilet freshener. What would offend them you might ask? The branding colors of the BrefDuo Stripes freshner. They're blue and yellow. The same color of their flag. And Sweden's. Though I don't see Swede's complaining.

Now you might think they would be royally pissed off had it been, say, a Russian company that manufactures the toilet freshner, but it's actually a German company, and enough Urkainians have complained that Henkel pulled it from Ukrainian shelves, and issued an apology on its Facebook Page:

First of all, we wish to stress again that we are sorry if people feel offended by the design of our new Bref Duo Stripes. The color blue, intended to stand for water and hygiene, and the yellow color for lemon scent are common for this type of products. However, we have carefully listened to the comments of our consumers in Ukraine as we listen to our consumers in all countries in which we operate and take their concerns very seriously. We respect our consumers' feelings and have therefore taken the appropriate steps to immediately discontinue the distribution of the product in its current color design. We have also cancelled the respective TV ad. We apologize for any irritation our product may have caused.

Now I thought this might be a joke (am not going to fall for anything bogus, again!), but there is a TV ad, and enough complaints on the Henkel FB page to warrant taking this seriously. There are even calls for boycott.

Germany Still "Obsessed With Jews" - Tuvia Tenenbom

Writer Tuvia Tenenbom, a Jewish American writer, columnist, and artistic director of The Jewish Theatre of New York, talks about his book "I Sleep in Hitler's Room: an american jew visits germany" and how the majority of Germans are still obsessed with the jews. He also discusses the challenges he had in actually getting the book published, in spite of being invited by a publisher to write about the German people.

Three years ago I was contacted by an editor of Rowohlt, one of the biggest book publishers in Germany. She said she loved my articles in the Zeit, the prestigious German newspaper I’ve been writing for, and would like me to come to Germany for a few months, interview people and write about them “in the same style you write for the Zeit.”

It didn’t take long to convince me and soon enough I showed up in Germany.

Unbelievable landscapes, delicious food, shiny museums, celebrated intellectuals, tireless farmers, sleepless artists, blasphemous zealots, faithful atheists and a highly modern society welcomed me. All I had to do was to befriend everybody.

Germany, I sadly found out, was obsessed with Jews. Even those who claimed to like Jews had very strange thoughts about them. I interviewed people from all walks of life.

Islamist Threats Force Egyptian Writer Hamed Abdel-Samad To Disapper

Egyptian writer and political scientist Hamed Abdel-Samad- who is now a citizen of Germany and lives there- has so angered Islamists they want him dead. As a result, he has had to go into hiding.

According to publishers Droemer Knaur, based in Munich, the threats came from Islamist websites:

“He takes these calls seriously,” Knaur said in a statement on Tuesday.

Knaur said Salafi and Muslim Brotherhood sites had earlier posted a picture of the author with a caption reading “Wanted Dead.”

Leading Jama’a al-Islamiya member Assem Abdel Maged and Salafi preacher Mahmoud Shaaban had called Abdel-Samad an “infidel” during an Al-Hafez programme, after the writer delivered a lecture in Cairo last week criticizing radical Islamism in Egypt.

Apparently Abdel-Samad moved to Germany in the 1990s, and his dad was an Imam.

Indian Man in Germany Has Tongue Slashed By Muslims For Refusing To Convert

A young Indian student alleges that while he was walking home in Bonn, Germany on Christmas eve he was confronted by what appeared to be two Salafist Muslims. When he refused to convert they slashed his tongue, because there is no compulsion in Islam, or at least that's what they'd like us to believe.

Police in Bonn are investigating a possible attack on a 24-year-old Indian man who claims to have been the victim of an assault by two Islamists on Christmas Eve. The man, a university student had to be treated at a local hospital for a lacerated tongue following the attack.

According to the victim, he was approached by two men who asked him what his religion was before demanding that he convert to Islam. Otherwise, the men said, he was an infidel and his tongue would have to be cut out. Then, as the man tried to walk away, the two assailants attacked him from behind, the victim told police. A passerby happened across the bleeding victim and called an ambulance. He was treated at the hospital and then released.

Police investigators believe the man's story to be credible and also believe that the incident could indeed have been the work of Islamists. He described the perpetrators as having long beards but no moustaches, a style often preferred by Salafists. There were, however, no witnesses to the attack and police are currently searching for suspects.

It seems the Salafists are growing in numbers in Germany.

Germany Cracks Down On Salafist Muslims

Salafists might be doing well in the Middle-East and Africa where they've recently risen to power, but Germany is actively scavenging for these Muslim supremacists in addition to banning one group, with two others being investigated.

In an effort to purge the country of extremists, a massive police raid was launched across Germany in the following seven states:

Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia, Bavaria, Lower Saxony, Berlin, Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein.

One of the raids was at Salafist preacher Ibrahim Abu Nagie's house in Cologne.

Germany is apparently a haven for Muslim extremists with a penchant for violence. In fact, some of the 9/11 terrorists were members of a mosque in Hamburg. As a result, the German government has banned the Islamist group Millatu Ibrahim, which is located in Solingen, in the belief that its members are actively pursuing the creation of an Islamic caliphate. It is also believe that they are attempting to recruit followers, including giving away free Qurans.

There are around 4 million Muslims living in Germany with at least 4,000 of those Salafists. Almost 50% of German Muslims are citizens (mostly from Turkey), but of those who aren't, 48% reject integration. In fact:

Nearly every fourth non-German Muslim rejects integration, questions western values and tends to accept violence, according to a study commissioned by the German Interior Ministry and released late Thursday morning.

The survey conducted by the interior ministry has them very worried:

“The Daily Life of Young Muslims in Germany” surveyed Muslims between 14 and 32 who had not become German citizens. It also interviewed several generations of Muslims living in Germany and evaluated television programmes.

The survey also showed that among the 14 to 32-year-olds there exists a "subgroup" of religious extremists who hold anti-western views and are reportedly prepared to use violence.

This group amounts to about 15 percent of Muslims with German citizenship and about 24 percent for Muslims who are not German.

The rapidly increasing trend of Muslims towards religious conservatism is definitely alarming, and I'd be worried too.
