We Will Suffer For "Hurting The Dignity" Of Supreme Leader- DPRK Military Video

Another North Korean propaganda film with DPRK military officers declaring that "the U.S. imperialist wolves and the rat-like Myung Bak clan of traitors can never be pardoned for having committed such hideous crime as hurting the dignity of the DPRK supreme leadership." They intend to "squash" every last one of us for apparently insulting pudge boy, Kim Jong-un.

These videos are always good for a bit of a laugh. Looks like a B-rated war movie with a bunch of bad actors.

And for a little humor- from the satire site The Wadiyan - we have the latest Indonesian fatwa banning female flatulence. Not that this would be in any way far-fetched.

An Islamic city council in the Indonesian province of Aceh, which follows Sharia, has banned female citizens from passing gas.

Sayyid Yahia, mayor of the city, told media that a ban was needed, as farting does not go well with the Islamic values of modesty. “Muslim women are not allowed to fart with sound, it’s against Islamic teachings,” he said. Meanwhile, the Indonesian Feminists Association told local media they will attempt to block the smelly law as they deem it discriminatory.

Talking to The Wadiyan, mayor Sayyid Yahia said the law aims to save people’s morals and behaviors. “When you see woman fart loud, she appears like a man. But if she sit sideways and pass it quietly, she looks like a woman,” Sayyid said.

Although the proposed law does not ban “quiet fart,” passing gas with sound is actually not uncommon in Southeast Asia, particularly for women consuming potatoes and peas. Obviously, women maintain that they feel healthier, farting loud. Fathima Khan, a medical doctor at the Al Banni Islamic Hospital in Aceh’s capital is critical of the proposed law: “There is no need to question this practice, let alone regulate it, because people do it for their health and safety,” she said.

The mayor declined to give The Wadiyan details of what the punishment would be for violators. While another member at the City council, who wished not to be named, said if convicted by the sharia court, the offender could receive 20 lashes for small farts and up to 3 months prison time for larger ones.

On another note, the local Islamic scholars were mostly divided over the law. Well-known Muslim activists like Bshar Abdulla voiced his objection, “How to pass gas is not regulated in Sharia. There is no mention of it in the Koran,” he said on his Twitter account. However, “the Islamic tradition and the values of modesty does not support women farting loud,” said Mehmood Hussain, a scholar and stenchy supporter of the law.

Under the new regulation, the mayor says that only women in the public space are going to be monitored. “It will be the responsibility of the husband to make sure that his wife upholds Islamic values at home”. He also argued that there is no scientific evidence supporting health benefits of passing gas, in Koran.

The City council will be evaluating the regulation in a week, after which it could turn into a by-law.

But with the slew of bizarre fatwas that have been issued in the past, this one - if true - wouldn't have been so hard to believe. After all, women have been banned from eating bananas- or any other phallic shaped fruit or veggie, and Indonesia has come up with some of the most notable ones.. Thankfully, it's just something the folks at The Wadiyan made up.

Stupid Communists In Chile and NYC Protest In Support Of North Korea

There are still some incredibly stupid people in this world who believe in Communism, in spite of the fact that the system doesn't work. They're usually fools who live in Democratic, Capitalist nations where they're free to do things they would probably be jailed or killed for in a Communist country. Like protesting.  The Chinese government doesn't take kindly to demonstrations, the Tiananmen Square massacre in 1989 is a testament to that.

These dolts can stand in front of a Whole Foods in New York City in support of the lunatic leadership of North Korea (DPRK), rallying against what they call the recent war threats against the DPRK, without any repercussions. And yes, they seem to think that it's the poor, pudgy man-child Kim Jong-un and his people who are being threatened. I guess they haven't bothered to watch the news coming out of that country. Thank God the NY Red Youth are only a rag tag few.



And then you have these idiots in Chile, protesting in front of the South Korean Embassy, calling the U.S. "Yankee, Fascist Imperialists." A few more than in NYC, but still not many.



First of all, no-one is interested in North Korea other than the fact that the Pillsbury Dough Boy has launched several missiles- unprovoked, is promising more, has his hands on some nuclear weapons, and is threatening the world with them.

As for Yankee imperialism, it was North Korea that invaded South Korea in 1950.  China invaded Tibet and Nepal. The former Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan, and in fact, how was the Soviet Union even created to begin with?

How these fools can support a regime that clearly has a few screws missing, has created a cult of personality in the Kim Jong family dynasty, has the fourth largest army in the world- some 1.2 million strong- has concentration labor camps where whole families are carted off to for life, where the people in the rural areas starve, and where people are executed for insignificant reasons. Take Chong, a worker at an armaments factory who, in 2010, was executed by firing squad for speaking on his cell phone with a friend who had defected to South Korea many years before. Chong made the mistake of telling his buddy what the current living conditions were like, at the time, including the cost of rice. For that he was executed. He also happened to be using an "illegal" Chinese cellphone, and cellphone usage in North Korea, for obvious reasons, is very restricted.

If all these pro-North Koreans are so enamored of the DPRK, I would invite them to move there. Let's see how long they'd last.

Egypt's Satirist Bassem Youssef Now Charged With "Insulting Pakistan"

It didn't take long for Bassem Youssef (Egypt's 'Jon Stewart') to make headline news again. Last week, the courts threw out a lawsuit filed against him for skewering President Mohammed Morsi and Islam, this week some new complaints have surfaced- this time for "insulting Pakistan", "spreading atheism", and another charge for "insulting Islam."

In his weekly show al-Bernameg, the satirist wore a hat similar to, but much bigger than, that worn by Mursi while receiving an honorary doctorate from a university in Islamabad last month.

Another lawsuit claimed Youssef was attempting to “spread atheism” after he allegedly made fun of the prayer ritual, which constitutes “questioning one of the five pillars of Islam,” Egypt’s Tahrir newspaper reported.

The third lawsuit accused him of disrespecting a lawyer at the public prosecutor’s office, and police officers outside the court, when he was summoned in March.

Youssef posted satirical comments on Twitter such as: “Officers and the lawyer at public prosecution’s office want to take a picture with me.” The complaint considered the Tweet “insulting,” Tahrir reported.

The charges against Youssef have raised international concerns.

Mursi’s presidential office has insisted that citizens’ complaints, not the office itself, are behind the probe.

Youssef’s high-profile case has prompted the United States to express “real concerns” about the direction being taken by the Egyptian government.

Although the court threw out the lawsuit demanding Youssef's show be banned, the charges of insulting Islam and Morsi are still pending, and he's out on bail pending further investigation.

The Moroccan Actor Behind The Obama/Satan Controversy

The similarity between the Satan character in the wildly popular "The Bible" mini-series- which aired on The History Channel- and Barack Obama had some heads spinning. The producers- husband and wife team of  Roma Downey and Mark Burnett- denied there was anything intentional about the similarity, but that didn't stop the speculation. Downey even made a statement declaring that she and hubby Mark:

“....have nothing but respect and love our president, who is a fellow Christian,” adding that “false statements such as these are just designed as a foolish distraction to try and discredit the beauty of the story of the Bible.”

So who is this Obama look-a-like?  He's a Moroccan actor- Mohamen Mehdi Ouazzani, with quite a few international film credits to his name.

Ouazzani was actually quite surprised when he found out his "Satan" was being compared to Barack Obama.

“One morning somebody called me and said ‘you have to look at your email’ and I was so surprised,” Ouazzani told The Associated Press in Casablanca before jetting off to the remote desert town of Erfoud, where he's playing a police inspector in a German crime drama.

“For someone like me, a simple unknown actor, to find himself in a controversy like this - even though it’s nonsense - it makes me known around the world, so it’s something positive,” he said with a chuckle.

It all started with Glenn Beck's Tweet: “Does Satan look EXACTLY like Obama? Yes!” However, all this talk doesn't bother him at all.  Ouazanni is now hoping that all this notoriety will turn into more work for him in Hollywood, and who knows, maybe a meeting with Obama himself.

“Some good has come out of this,” he said, adding with a twinkle in his eye: “Before, I knew who Obama was, and now he knows me, and if he has time I’d like to invite him and his family for couscous in Morocco.”

This video shows several Coptic Christian women being assaulted in Egypt. In spite of the fact that it appears they were wearing hijab and modest clothing, they were still attacked by a mob of men shouting Allahu Akbar- in broad daylight. But it's not just Christian women who are sexually harassed, all females are targets in Egypt, because Egyptian men have no respect for women.

Egyptian Rights Activist: Things Better Under Mubarak

Egyptian rights activist Dalia Ziada talks about why things were better for women under Hosni Mubarak's regime.

Women are 'an integral part of Egyptian society' though they are suffering the most from the economic crisis which is getting worse every day in Egypt, said in an interview with ANSAmed Dalia Ziada, a human rights activist, blogger and the director of the Ibn Khaldum Center for Democratic Studies. Ziada is in Marseille to attend the Forum promoted by the Anna Lindh Foundation.

'Over 30% of women are 'caring women' like widows or divorcees who are working to support their families', said the activist. 'They work at a time when men are having a hard time finding a proper job'.

In the past, said Ziada, poor women benefited from measures supporting their businesses, which were sponsored by Suzanne Mubarak, wife of the president who was toppled in the January 25 revolution. Now 'they have no one sponsoring them', she said.

The activist, who was awarded a prize in 2010 by the Anna Lindh Foundation, told ANSAmed that 'it is sad to say that the situation for women was much better during the Mubarak era'. 'It was not the best possible but it was still better than today because there was a state which supported women's rights', she noted. 'Suzanne Mubarak was a women's rights activist before being the president's wife and a staunch supporter of new laws in favour of women', continued the activist. 'Now we have a regime which is very hostile to women, an extremist regime of the Muslim Brotherhood which doesn't like women, least of all in public life and the economy'. The regime is so hostile, the activist noted, that it accuses women of 'causing men's unemployment' based on the conviction that if they stayed home their jobs would go to men. 'However it's a problem of qualifications', noted Ziada, which has nothing to do with being women or men.

The Egyptians had a clean slate after they ousted Mubarak. There were plenty of non-Muslim Brotherhood presidential candidates running for office, but they overwhelmingly voted for Mohammed Morsi. They had a choice. They are now suffering the consequences.
