Maybe North Korea Didn't Hack Sony?

So, I was eager to jump on the 'DPRK hacked Sony' bandwagon; after all, the North Korean's 'dear leader' is pompous and vain enough to not want any film poking fun and ultimately blowing him to pieces being shown to evil capitalist pig Westerners. And if it was an 'inside job', why not just release the info without bringing "The Interview" into the picture.  But there are plenty of people who are absolutely convinced that North Korea had nothing to do with the hack, and their theories are worth perusing.
But the weightiest rebuttal of the case against North Korea has come from renowned hacker, DEFCON organizer, and CloudFlare researcher Marc Rogers, who makes a compelling case of his own. Highlights below:

Why the Sony hack is unlikely to be the work of North Korea.
Everyone seems to be eager to pin the blame for the Sony hack on North Korea. However, I think…

The broken English looks deliberately bad and doesn't exhibit any of the classic comprehension mistakes you actually expect to see in "Konglish". i.e it reads to me like an English speaker pretending to be bad at writing English.

[...]

It's clear from the hard-coded paths and passwords in the malware that whoever wrote it had extensive knowledge of Sony's internal architecture and access to key passwords. While it's plausible that an attacker could have built up this knowledge over time and then used it to make the malware, Occam's razor suggests the simpler explanation of an insider. It also fits with the pure revenge tact that this started out as.
Furthermore, "The attackers only latched onto "The Interview" after the media did – the film was never mentioned by GOP right at the start of their campaign. It was only after a few people started speculating in the media that this and the communication from DPRK "might be linked" that suddenly it became linked."
More theories on why so many think the link between North Korea and the Sony hack is bogus, here.

Okay, so I'm not always right, but we still don't know for sure. The whole thing is pretty bizarre.

It will be interesting to find out the real scoop.

Sony Pictures Hackers Holding Sony Hostage- Remove All Traces Of "The Interview" From Internet

According to CNN'S Brian Stetler, the anonymous hackers emailed Sony Pictures congratulating them on caving, and are now basically holding them hostage. Since Sony pulled their film "The Interview", the hackers will no longer release more breached data. That is, as long as they behave and cooperate- which means removing any snippets of the film from the Internet. So we can assume Sony will begin sweeping YouTube and forcing people to remove anything related to the film. No more snippets. The leaked death scene will be gone soon.

Part of the email:

It is very wise that you have made a decision to cancel the release of the interview. It'll be very useful for you...

...We still have you sensitive and private data. We ensure the security of your data, unless you make additional trouble.

[snip]

Now we want you never let the movie released, distributed or leaked in any form of, for instance, DVD or piracy.

And we want everything related to the movie, including its trailers, as well as its full version down from any website hosting them immediately.

The beginning of the end.

Fools.

Leaked Death Scene From "The Interview"

Sony Pictures has set a terrible precedent by pulling its Kim Jong-un comedy "The Interview." What next? Are we going to cave every time we're threatened by a bunch of hackers/terrorists?  This kind of capitulation will ultimately lead to the demise of freedom of expression.

This was apparently a stupid movie, but in a free country I should have the right to waste my money on a silly film if I so choose, but in this case I won't.

Are we now going to censor ourselves with all creative endeavours because we're afraid we'll ruffle the feathers of  commies and Islamic radicals.  I can see it now- no more films about the Middle east, either.

We know North Korea was behind the Sony hack, they've been bitching about the release for a long time. They called it an "act of war" back in June. Who else would have a vested interest in preventing its release? And what hypocrisy. This was simply a Hollywood-made movie, North Korea has created state-sponsored propaganda films showing the bombing of the White House, and calling for nuking the Yankees.

And the caving has already started. Paramount Pictures just canceled the showing of "Team America- World Police." The film featured Kim Jong-un's equally evil dad Kim Jong-il.

At least three movie theaters that planned to show "Team America" say Paramount Pictures has canceled the 2004 comedy from public screening.

Cleveland's Capitol Theatre, Dallas-Fort Worth's Alamo Drafthouse and Atlanta's Plaza Atlanta wrote that Paramount pulled the movie on Thursday.

"This was a weird coincidence for us," Dave Huffman, director of Marketing at Cleveland Cinemas, which operates the Capitol Theatre, told the Huffington Post. "We had the film booked all the way back in October as part of our midnight cult series and it was scheduled to play June 20, 2015. We got an email shortly after 1 p.m saying the film was pulled from release."

Some theaters, like the Alamo Drafthouse, had planned to show "Team America" in the wake of Sony canceling "The Interview."
Since we won't be seeing "The Interview" any time soon, here's a link to the leaked death of Kim Jong-un on YouTube. Not sure how long it will remain, however.

It's a sad day for creative expression.

Kim Jong-Un Song- Parody by Rucka Rucka Ali- Parody Video of the day

Here's an extremely un-PC parody on Kim Jong-un: Rucka Rucka Ali poking fun of the dictator with a parody of FGL ft Nelly "Cruise."

Definitely not for the faint of heart or easily offended, it can get pretty offensive.

I posted his parody of Carly Rae Jepson's wildly popular "Call Me Maybe" where he pokes fun of Barack Obama during his 2012 campaign, along with a little information on this Detroit singer who lampoons just about everyone.

This was from 2013.

Chinese Poke Fun At Kim Jong-Un- Viral video joke of the day

This one is hilarious. I think there's a longer version, but it's a compilation of video clips with the dictator's head photoshopped onto various movie and cartoon characters. Vladimir Putin and Barack Obama have supporting roles. Funny stuff.

Apparently, Kim Jong-un was terribly offended and wanted it removed. The Young Turks have a little information about the video and the cry-baby's fury at the upcoming Seth Rogan/James Franco movie "The Interview" which is about an attempted assassination of the dictator, calling it an act of war.

Kim Jong-un Gangnam Style- Parody video of the day

Just watched a video from a North Korean Youtube propaganda channel that I subscribe to. Always entertaining, on so many levels- from the overwrought narrators to the pro-DPRK versus anti-DPRK comments- and I noticed a slew of Kim Jong-un parodies. So, for your entertainment, I will start posting some.

I'll start with this Gangnam Style parody. The original by a South Korean pop star, became a global hit after the video went viral, several years back.

Kim Jong-Un Cries During A Concert - Video joke of the day

Here's a little evening entertainment courtesy of North Korea. The DPRK's God/Leader Kim Jong-un gets all misty eyed with some fellow officials at an uber-emotional concert.

Looks like he's packed on a few pounds, while his people starve.

Upcoming Seth Rogen Comedy Is An "Act Of War" Claims Kim Jong-un

Poor old Kim Jong-un. North Korea's joke-of-a-president is being lampooned in the latest Seth Rogen James Franco comedy "The Interview" (opening in the fall), and he's madder than heck. In fact, the DPRK foreign ministry claims the movie is an act of war, and has vowed "merciless" retaliation if it's released.

Apparently the characters of Franco and Rogen, a talk show duo, are sent on a mission to North Korea to assassinate the dear leader.

Al Arabiya has posted links to other movies that have poked fun at the Kim dynasty.

N Korea Arrests 24-Year-Old American Who Wants Asylum

Who knows what the real story is, but North Korean officials claim they have arrested 24-year-old American Miller Matthew Todd (more likely Todd Matthew Miller or Matthew Todd Miller) for "a gross violation of its legal order." What did the lad do to land him in jail, you might ask? Ripped his tourist visa to shreds and shouted he had traveled to the DPRK seeking asylum "after choosing it as a shelter." That, to me, sounds like one of the myriad of fools who revere Kim Jong-un, and view North Korea as a shining example of a perfect utopia. And one would think that the North Korean government would be delighted that some western, American stooge would choose that hellhole of a country to call home.

State news agency KCNA stated:

"A relevant organ of the DPRK put in custody American Miller Matthew Todd, 24, on April 10 for his rash behavior in the course of going through formalities for entry into the DPRK to tour it."

Here's another official announcement regarding Miller's arrest.

According to NK News:

"Miller Matthew Todd’s action has hit the nerve of North Korean immigration officers because the DPRK considers entry visas its property and does not tolerate disrespectful attitude to it."

Of course, the news "broke" (well after he was actually detained) while Barack Obama was down in South Korea meeting with his counterpart Park Geun-hye. Kim Jong-un is probably just jealous that Obama has refused to be his buddy. And speaking of the visit, the DPRK has condemned Obama for traveling there while the South Korean's are still mourning the tragic ferry boat drownings.

I wonder how Miller feels about the DPRK now. Keep him, please.

Unhappy North Koreans At A Photo Exhibit

This is what passes for a national photo exhibit in North Korea. Mostly photos of Kim Jong-un. But look at the faces of the people attending. They look as if they're at a funeral or about to be executed.

Kim Jong-un Wins 100% Of Election Votes!!

So Kim Jong-un won 100 percent of the vote in the DPRK, and North Korean propagandists are dang proud of that fact.

Of course, he was the only one of the ballot, and no doubt people were too afraid not to vote for him

But no surprise there.  What a joke

It still boggles the mind how there are people, many who are not even North Koreans, who think Jong-un is the best thing since wonder bread.

Boring propaganda video discussing his election win.

More info on the election.

Dennis Rodman Channels Marilyn Monroe In His Birthday Song To Kim Jong-un

Here's Dennis Rodman doing his best imitation of Marilyn Monroe (an octave or two lower) in his "Happy Birthday" ditty to Kim Jong-un.

Can't quite tell what he calls him, maybe 'master'?

Kim Jong-Un Fed Uncle and 5 Aides To 120 Starving Dogs

Apparently North Korea has a means of executing state enemies called "quan jue"- that's where the victim is stripped naked and then fed to hunting hounds in a cage. According to Wen Wei Po, a pro-China newspaper based in Hong Kong, that was the fate of Kim Jong-un's uncle Jang Song-thaek and five of his aides. 120 dogs finished them off in an hour and witnessed by the 31-year-old Jong-un, and 300 or so DPRK officials including Kim Jong-chol, his older brother.

Al-Arabiya says of the leak:

The leak of the brutal execution by a newspaper known as the mouthpiece of the Chinese government has raised speculation about China’s growing frustration with North Korea especially after the purge of senior leaderships with close ties to China.

The Global Times, linked to the Chinese Communist Party organ, followed up on Wen Wei Po’s report with strongly worded editorial calling upon China to no longer coddle North Korea, according to the Straight Times.

If there is any truth to this, what a sick little man.

North Korea Executes Kim Jong-un's Uncle Jang Song-thaek

It's really no surprise that the Pillsbury Dough Boy's evil twin would eventually execute his very own uncle Jang Song-thaek after the initial purge. I mean, it's not the first time he's had someone close to him killed. Back in August he publicly executed an ex-girlfriend, popular singer Hyun Song-wol, and 11 other prominent North Korean musicians, on charges of pornography. I doubt there was any truth to those charges, but what the hey. He's the DPRK's God and he can do whatever he wants.

The official reason for Jang Song-thaek's removal and execution was for a panoply of criminal acts he purportedly committed and blamed on his "capitalist way of living," including:

In his personal life, Jang was “dissolute and depraved,” as well as corrupt.
“By abusing his power, he was engrossed in irregularities and corruption, had improper relations with several women, and was wined and dined at back parlors of deluxe restaurants,” the North said. “Ideologically sick and extremely idle and easygoing, he used drugs and squandered foreign currency at casinos while he was receiving medical treatment in a foreign country under the care of the party.”

Ironic since Kim Jong-un's daddy, Kim Jong-il, was just as dissolute and depraved:

"..he starved, tortured and kept his people in poverty, all the while living a lavish lifestyle. He is said to have deposited 4 billion dollars in banks in Luxembourg, just in case. A hedonist, he regularly chomped on lobster (with silver chopsticks), airlifted big macs from China, had 10,000 bottles of alcohol in his cellar, and had his personal chefs (many of whom were kidnapped and eventually fled) fetch caviar and other delicacies from around the world. And yet his people starved."

And no doubt the current "Dear Leader" is following in daddy's footsteps.

The Washington Post has published the full Pyonyang statement of  his other terrible crimes, one of which was not clapping heartily enough. No joke.

We all know this was just a great way of ridding himself of the second most powerful man in the DPRK, consolidating power, and keeping all his politburo underlings in line, not to mention the ordinary citizens of North Korea.

I would be very surprised if there isn't more purging of the old guard.

North Korea's Luxury Water Park Opens, Still Waiting For The Ski Resort

North Korea (DPRK) is piss poor. Outside of the capital Pyonyang the people are starving. They have a zillion people holed up in labor/prison camps all over the country, and Kim Jong-un is building luxury ski resorts and water parks, for tourists and the privileged class.

The ski resort, meant to show the world that the DPRK is "civilized" was slated to open on October 10th, it did not, which means some comrades have probably landed themselves- along with their entire family- in one of those labor camps.  Apparently when the current 'dear leader' was a young lad studying in Switzerland (under an alias), he became enamored of skiing, so now he wants one for himself. Located about a 4 hour ride from Pyonyang, in the Masik Pass, resort plans include two hotels, chalets, ski runs and lifts and some fun sleigh rides.

What did just manage to open is the humongous, luxurious Munsu Water Park, and they're all mighty proud of it. There are even a few foreign diplomats in attendance. Check out the perfectly orchestrated opening ceremony video here, including matching swim suits. Most look like they're having so much fun. It's got everything you could want including a gym, so all those uber-skinny, hungry people can bulk up a bit.

What a creepy place. One of the last places I would visit as long as the Kim-god dynasty is in control.

Kim Jong-un Blows Up Dennis Rodman In Bizarre Pistachio Commercial

This is probably one of the most bizarre commercials I have seen in a while. Dennis Rodman and a slightly more svelte Kim Jong-un look-alike pitching pistachios.

Yeah, this would inspire me to go buy a bag.

Kim Jong-un Executes Ex-Girlfriend And 11 Other Musicians

Kim Jong-un, who is going to eventually rot in hell with his daddy and granddaddy, added another check mark on his karmic slate.  He just had his ex-girlfriend, singer Hyun Song-wol, publicly executed along with 11 other prominent North Korean musicians.  By firing squad. According to Chinese sources, the crime:  pornography. Some members of the Unhasu Orchestra, including the head Mun Kyong-jin, and dancers, singers and musicians from the Wangjaesan Light Music Band along with Hyun and members of her band were purported to have had a little x-rated side-business selling videos of themselves 'doing it'.  Some were also allegedly found with bibles. Another executable offense, I guess.

Now here's where it gets interesting, and is probably more likely the reason for Hyun's death sentence.
Kim met Hyon about a decade ago, before either of them was married. But he was later ordered to break off the relationship by his father Kim Jong-il and she married a soldier. Since then there have been rumors that the two were having an affair.
Kim's wife Ri Sol-ju was also a member of the Unhasu Orchestra before she married him.
Both bands have been disbanded, and according to a source:

"They were executed with machine guns while the key members of the Unhasu Orchestra, Wangjaesan Light Band and Moranbong Band as well as the families of the victims looked on."

And just for pudge-boy's pleasure, the witnesses and the families of all of those executed have been shipped off to prison camps where they will probably spend the rest of their lives.

Hyon was a popular singer with the Pochonbo Electronic Ensemble (video of her singing here) which focused on patriotic and revolutionary propaganda songs, not that there's much else allowed in the DPRK.

Obviously, there are those who do not buy into the official reason for execution and blame it on either political reasons or possibly on Kim Jong-un's pretty new wife.

"If these people had only made pornographic videos, then it is simply not believable that their punishment was execution," Toshimitsu Shigemura, a professor at Tokyo's Waseda University and an authority on North Korean affairs, told The Daily Telegraph.

"They could have been made to disappear into the prison system there instead.

"There is a political reason behind this," he said, suggesting that the groups may have been leaning towards a rival faction in Pyongyang's shadowy political world.

"Or, as Kim's wife once belonged to the same group, it is possible that these executions are more about Kim's wife," Professor Shigemura added.

Makes much more sense.

And there are actually people who admire the Kim dynasty. Unbelievable.

Dennis Rodman Really Wants The Nobel Peace Prize

Wacky NBA player and would-be-diplomat Dennis Rodman thinks he should be considered for, get this, the Nobel Peace Prize. Of course it wouldn't be any more ridiculous, or more undeserving, than, say, Barack Obama or Al Gore being nominated- and winning- the prize.

Dennis Rodman told Sports Illustrated that he has a new mission in life: "to break the ice between hostile countries." Actually that's quite a noble ambition , if not delusional, for Rodman to think he is capable of thawing the ice between certain nations, and he would definitely deserve the Nobel if he was able to accomplish that. But he tried with North Korea's Kim jong-Un. And failed, in  spite of their mutual passion for basketball.   Since Rodman believes that Obama "can't do sh*t" , he took a trip to the DPRK in May to secure the release of Korean-American tour guide Kenneth Bae, who is serving a 15 year sentence of hard labor for some trumped up charge of trying to overthrow the government. But, turns out Rodman couldn't "do sh*t" either.

But he certainly has a grandiose sense of self.
"Why it's been left to me to smooth things over, I don't know. Dennis Rodman, of all people. "But I'll tell you this: If I don't finish in the top three for the next Nobel Peace Prize, something's seriously wrong."
How about trying your hand at a Palestinian/Israeli solution, Dennis? Maybe then, you'll deserve that Peace Prize.

Bizarre DPRK Entertainment- Moranbong all-girl Band Formed By Kim Jong-Un

More bizarre entertainment from North Korea.

Footage of a missile firing on a huge screen behind a mini-skirted, all-girl band.

And take a look at the staged audience. And all those suited men.

The Moranbong Band, is one of Kim Jong-un's pet projects. Like father like son.

It's all so very creepy.

Dennis Rodman Diplomacy- Obama "Can't Do Sh*t" So He's Heading To N Korea To Free Kenneth Bae

Since former NBA basketball star Dennis Rodman thinks Barack Obama "can't do sh*t", he's heading back to visit North Korea's Pillsbury dough boy to try to secure the release of US citizen Kenneth Bae. Bae, who was born in South Korea, was just sentenced to 15 years hard labor in some DPRK prison camp for allegedly trying to overthrow the government as part of some nefarious Christian plot called Operation Jericho.  Bae runs a tour guide company and was caught with "propaganda materials" including the National Geographic documentary by Diego Bunuel "Don't Tell My Mother- That I'm In North Korea."

I'm not quite sure why Rodman is waiting 2 months to go, but he plans on flying to North Korea on August 1st to plead with his best buddy Kim Jong-un.  The would-be diplomat says:

"I'm gonna try and get the guy out." "It's gonna be difficult."
Rodman and King bonded when he tagged along with the Harlem Globetrotters for a basketball match in Pyongyang a few months ago.  Kim told Rodman that he wanted Obama to call him. He didn't. And now Rodman is pissed off that Obama didn't make the effort to call.

"We got a black president [who] can't even go talk to [Jong-un] ... Obama can't do s**t, I don't know why he won't go talk to him."

 As for Obama:

"Obama? F**k him!"
Tell us how you really feel Dennis.

Will his efforts work?  Hard to say. As bizarre as they both are, it might.  Then again, Kim could be using Bae as a bargaining chip.
