Kim Jong-Un Cries During A Concert - Video joke of the day

Here's a little evening entertainment courtesy of North Korea. The DPRK's God/Leader Kim Jong-un gets all misty eyed with some fellow officials at an uber-emotional concert.

Looks like he's packed on a few pounds, while his people starve.

Asylum Seeker Matthew Miller Jailed In DPRK Wants To Go Home- DPRK Says He's A Spy

Remember Matthew Todd Miller, or Miller Matthew Todd as the DPRK state news agency called him? The 24-year-old dolt who upon arrival in North Korea tore up his tourist visa and then shouted he was there to seek asylum?  He was arrested, and has since been working 8 hours a day in a prison camp sentenced to 6 years hard labour, but now he wants to go home.

Here are snippets of an official DPRK video posted on YouTube by Russia Today, with videotape of letters he's sent to Michelle Obama, the "Secretary of State", and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton since Barack Obama has not responded to his pleas for intervention.

Now, no-one really knows what exactly Miller planned on doing there.  He claims asylum and the DPRK claims he's a spy.
According to the North’s report, which runs to about 1,200 words, Mr. Miller’s acts were done “not because of simple lack of understanding and psychopathology,” but because he was sent by the U.S. to expose North Korea’s human-rights record.

He had hoped to meet Kenneth Bae, a U.S. citizen who has been held by the North for nearly two years, in hopes of winning Mr. Bae’s release, and then joining forces with Mr. Bae to become human-rights activists after leaving prison, KCNA reported.
To do so, he claimed to have documents about U.S. military bases in South Korea stored on his iPad and iPod, the report said.
Of course, one can't trust anything coming out of the DPRK.

If he did indeed have intentions of exposing North Korea's human-rights records, the kid is an idiot for travelling there- we already know how abysmal they are. Did he really think he'd get away with it?  Or he could be a stupid leftist who truly was seeking asylum, and now he's got it, though perhaps not in the manner he had dreamed of, though he is wearing a spiffy hat in the video. And then you certainly don't ask your government for help after you travel, of your own volition, to a hell hole in the hopes of seeking shelter. We don't want you back, darlin.  Or he could be mentally ill, and then you have to feel sorry for him.  Trouble is, who knows wherein lies the truth.

No-one is going to be able to get him out, even if he deserved it.

For your amusement.

Upcoming Seth Rogen Comedy Is An "Act Of War" Claims Kim Jong-un

Poor old Kim Jong-un. North Korea's joke-of-a-president is being lampooned in the latest Seth Rogen James Franco comedy "The Interview" (opening in the fall), and he's madder than heck. In fact, the DPRK foreign ministry claims the movie is an act of war, and has vowed "merciless" retaliation if it's released.

Apparently the characters of Franco and Rogen, a talk show duo, are sent on a mission to North Korea to assassinate the dear leader.

Al Arabiya has posted links to other movies that have poked fun at the Kim dynasty.

N Korea Arrests 24-Year-Old American Who Wants Asylum

Who knows what the real story is, but North Korean officials claim they have arrested 24-year-old American Miller Matthew Todd (more likely Todd Matthew Miller or Matthew Todd Miller) for "a gross violation of its legal order." What did the lad do to land him in jail, you might ask? Ripped his tourist visa to shreds and shouted he had traveled to the DPRK seeking asylum "after choosing it as a shelter." That, to me, sounds like one of the myriad of fools who revere Kim Jong-un, and view North Korea as a shining example of a perfect utopia. And one would think that the North Korean government would be delighted that some western, American stooge would choose that hellhole of a country to call home.

State news agency KCNA stated:

"A relevant organ of the DPRK put in custody American Miller Matthew Todd, 24, on April 10 for his rash behavior in the course of going through formalities for entry into the DPRK to tour it."

Here's another official announcement regarding Miller's arrest.

According to NK News:

"Miller Matthew Todd’s action has hit the nerve of North Korean immigration officers because the DPRK considers entry visas its property and does not tolerate disrespectful attitude to it."

Of course, the news "broke" (well after he was actually detained) while Barack Obama was down in South Korea meeting with his counterpart Park Geun-hye. Kim Jong-un is probably just jealous that Obama has refused to be his buddy. And speaking of the visit, the DPRK has condemned Obama for traveling there while the South Korean's are still mourning the tragic ferry boat drownings.

I wonder how Miller feels about the DPRK now. Keep him, please.

Unhappy North Koreans At A Photo Exhibit

This is what passes for a national photo exhibit in North Korea. Mostly photos of Kim Jong-un. But look at the faces of the people attending. They look as if they're at a funeral or about to be executed.

Video: Kim Il-sung's 3 Hour Opera "The Sea of Blood"

If you want to waste almost 3 hours (I didn't), you can watch "Sea of Blood" - a revolutionary opera written by none other than Kim Il-sung, president-for-life of North Korea, that is until he croaked, and grandpappy of  Kim Jong-un.

From Wikipedia:

Sea of Blood (Korean: 피바다) is a revolutionary novel, film, and opera created in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) about the mass killings during the long period of the Japanese occupation of Korea.[2] The performance is considered as one of the "Five Great Revolutionary Operas" (Korean: 5대 혁명가극), a group of classical, revolution-themed opera repertoires well received within North Korea.

At Pyongyang's main theatre, the operatic version of The Sea of Blood is the only show in town and plays three to four times a week. Sea of Blood is also North Korea's longest-running production being staged 1,500 times.[3]

It is also a novel and a three-hour black-and-white film rumored to have been directed in part by Kim Jong Il, the son of Kim Il Sung, in the early 1970s, and produced by Korea Films.
Watch the whole thing on YouTube. I could only manage a few minutes, but it's more along the lines of a musical.

Kim Jong-un Wins 100% Of Election Votes!!

So Kim Jong-un won 100 percent of the vote in the DPRK, and North Korean propagandists are dang proud of that fact.

Of course, he was the only one of the ballot, and no doubt people were too afraid not to vote for him

But no surprise there.  What a joke

It still boggles the mind how there are people, many who are not even North Koreans, who think Jong-un is the best thing since wonder bread.

Boring propaganda video discussing his election win.

More info on the election.

Miracle Healing North Korea/Juche Style

This has to be watched to be believed.

Crippled North Korean woman gets 'healed' after gazing upon a portrait of Kim Il-sung and a young Kim Jong-il. Grand-pappy and pappy of pudge-boy Kim Jong-un.

Lower the volume because it's loud.

It's pretty darn wacky.
