Who Should You Vote For in 2008?

Came across this fun, interesting little test on vajoe.com, that shows which of our myriad of candidates (for the 2008 presidential bid) might be your best choice.

To find out which candidate best represents your beliefs etc. click here.

I was rather surprised at which candidate came up as my top match, not that I have yet to decide who I will pick, but, what I found extremely scary was the most top-matched candidate (on the site) was loony Mike Gravel, of all people, with 15.65%! Followed by Dennis Kucinich with 11.67%.

H/T: Bob

UPDATE:

Here's another link to another candidate finder. Interesting stuff!

I answered I planned to vote for Romney.
It said my candidate was Romney at 84%. He probably won't be ON the ballot but IF he were...

I answered Romney (although McCain interests me). Amyway, it said my candidate was Sam Brownback. Interesting..

Hey incog (off topic), I found this funny, see:

I planned to vote for Fred Thompson, but survey said my candidate should be Romney. I could vote for Romney, or Rudy, or a few others. Interesting. I wish we could sent the poll to our politicians and let them see where our real interests are.

(p.s. Puddin the dog was ours. We had to put her to sleep last Thursday. It was AWFUL.)

PAUL: I got Romney too, which was interesting because I haven't really considered him, though I haven't really considered any, as of yet. Still ruminating. I just know who I WON'T vote for... and that's Ron Paul. He could be on the ballot. We shall see.

AI: Brownback? Heh. Don't know anything about him. McCain is too volatile, in my mind.
Thanks for heads up.. wwill check it out.

PATJ: :-) Not sure about accurate, but.. sis got Giuliani and that's who she got.

DEBBIE: SO sorry about Puddin. That is so devastating. She was a beautiful doggie. Such soulful eyes!

AS for the candidates.. I agree... I could vote for any of the one's you mentioned. Just have to make sure they are winnable.

What the heck, incognito!!! What kind of cockamamie test is this???? To my chagrin I think only Romney can win the general election. I ended-up with Duncan Hunter...Duncan Hunter?!?!!???!!

I will take a pill, wake up tomorrow, and retake the test. Duncan Hunter? Who the heck is Duncan Hunter? '08 will certainly be intersting kids. chip.

Debbie andI were the opposite. I thought Mitt Romney and matched Thompson more. Cute poll. MUD

CHIP: Ha... thank you for making me laugh...I know..... who IS Duncan Hunter? He must have similar beliefs, though.. And it certainly will.

MUD: Interesting... not sure how accurate this poll is, but it is fun.

HA since I am a legal alien I wont be allowed to vote ... and before I get to 'my candidate' I think a little wordy disclaimer might be in order :)

I am a issue-by-issue kind of girl, some conservative and some liberal and since I am European after all my scale is not as far right as the scale here in the US.

I have never heard about 'my guy':
Dennis Kucinich (D) 74.19% match

Obama would probably get my vote, if I was allowed, mainly because I think he is a great communicator and this country needs that.

So I am breaking the mold of the mainstream of the readers of this blog :)

HA again ... so Obama was the second with same percentage:

Illinois Senator Barack Obama (D) - 74.19%
Former Alaska Senator Mike Gravel (D) - 67.74%
New York Senator Hillary Clinton (D) - 61.29%

I have to confess I knew next to nothing about Mike Gravel (great name) so I went to his website, and found it tells you nothing about him at all, unless you want to either slowly download a pdf or go and visit some lightweight web 2.0 site like Facebook. How politically unastute is that?

I took the quiz and it matched me with Duncan Hunter! He's a great guy but he's not top tier. Our loss, too.

I still hope for Giuilani in the end. He's the only one who'll beat Hillary. That's what is most important.

Incog,
As you and your readers know, I am a Romney guy, but when I took the poll, my answers matched me up with. . .Congressman Duncan Hunter!
While I think that Mr. Hunter will make a great defense secretary in a Republican presidency, In this election, he is an also-ran. And that is too bad because he is a smart and astute guy. I think I have to take this over again. Maybe it will actually match my answers with Romney!

WOMAN: I know, it's a difficult one.. but I think it will become more clear.

LIZZE: Heh... then I'm glad you can't vote...;-) just kidding.. I consider myself a moderate and frankly, many of the social issues I think are unimportant in the grand scheme of things.. Obama might be a great communicator but is he a great leader?! for me the top issue is the fight for our freedoms which are slowly being eroded by a religious group that wants no such freedom. Obama and none of the dems are willing to put up a fight.
Dennis Kucinich?.. heh.. phew. ;-)
and Gravel... yikes..

BOB: So there ya go... he's way out in left field,, and I don't mean politically speaking. I saw him in the first dem debate and I was amazed he was even elected.

KAREN: Ha.. Duncan Hunter... I was starting to think it was rigged for Mitt, but.. wow. Yeah.. I think Giuliani is the only one who could, as well. we shall see.

RIGHTY64: Another Duncan Hunter.. hmm. Let me know if you do it again, who you get. :-)

Righty64 said...

I did it again, thought very througly about my answers and I did have a 95.6% with Mitt Romney. I have to say that one should not rush through this poll. But, I am glad that I matched more the first time with Mr. Hunter than Ron Paul!

Incognito said...

Indeed, Ron Paul would have been devastating Righty... at least to me.

kodiak73 said...

94.92% Mitt Mitt Mitt - Now that's what I'm talking about! Quite heartening that my polar opposite dead last candidate was Mr. Gravel...

Incognito said...

Heh, Kodiak.. you mean not 100% ;-)
I think I mentioned also, that I did the polar opposite, as well, and got loony Gravel. Yikes.

Apparently - I've turned into my Father (who passed away 7 years ago) It told me to vote for Ron Paul (95%)... Looks like I'm getting really OLD (the big 37 creeping up) Maybe, I'm sick of people not supporting our troops or our boarders /and boarder guards and carrying water for these republicans. I wouldn't take my vote back from Bush b/c we got Alito and Roberts but it's really hard to support a guy that spends more then Dems ... - Mitt will be more of the same - he Gave my neighbors to the South "REQUIRED" Health Care for every person in MA. HE BRAGS about that ... He's not a conservative. Hilary will get in b/c conservatives won't hold their noise in this election - Mitt/Rudy/Hilary they ARE all taking us on a slow/fast boat to Socialism IMO... Kind of sad that the MEDIA is going to "select" our candidate in the Primary.
