In the old days when you talked about ethnicity in California, it was about black and white. Now it is about Armenians, Vietnamese, Hmong, Peruvians, Koreans, Mexicans and Mexicans and Mexicans...

I heard it on NPR.

REN: It's true.. I was there in August and it does seem like one is living in a foreign land.. however, having been raised all over the world, I appreciate other cultures.... my only problem is with lack of any attempt, on some of their parts, to not learn the language. Though I also have no problem with bi-lingualism. What I so admire about the Europeans and others is their embrace of multi-lingualism. I also have trouble with certain 'elements' expecting us to conform to their culture/ideology rather than the converse.

Adrian Villarreal and his troupe are very funny and awesome people. I have met them and must say they are extremely talented. We will be seeing a lot more of them soon. I guarantee it.

I also saw a great web site for artists called Latinoartistproject.blogspot.com that is trying to bring people together.
