Stupid Voters and Lack of Transparency Helped Pass Obamacare Claims Architect of Obamacare- On Video

Remember how Barack Obama promised to create the most transparent and open government ever:

"My Administration is committed to creating an unprecedented level of openness in Government. We will work together to ensure the public trust and establish a system of transparency, public participation, and collaboration. Openness will strengthen our democracy and promote efficiency and effectiveness in Government." - 

It turns out that Jonathan Gruber, an economist who helped cobble together Obamacare, claims that "lack of transparency" was what enabled Obama and his Democratic congressional minions to pass the Affordable Care Act.  Lack of transparency, and the stupidity of the low information voter.

“Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage." “And basically, call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever, but basically that was really, really critical for the thing to pass.”

Obamacare Could Prompt 10,000 Las Vegas Union Workers To Strike

Unions were instrumental in getting Barack Obama elected, but now many members are squawking about his prized Obamacare because it isn't turning out to be quite what they expected.

One of those unions (that was probably pushing hard for its membership to vote for Obama - both times)  represents Las Vegas workers, and about 10,000 of those unhappy campers are poised to strike because they want to keep the benefits they have, including no-cost health coverage, and that 'aint gonna happen under Obamacare.

The Culinary Union Local 226 - representing a slew of Las Vegas workers including maids, porters, cooks etc. -  has curtailed negotiations with management and ended a contract extension because they don't want to pay a penny for their health insurance, and don't want any changes to their pension and guaranteed 40 work hours per week.  Obamacare would change all that.

According to BuzzFeed, union honcho Donald "D" Taylor said:

“The biggest hurdle to reaching settlements in Vegas is the new costs imposed on our health plan by Obamacare," “Even though the president and Congress promised we could keep our health plan, the reality is, unless the law is fixed, that won’t be true.”

Oops.  Fools for believing the oh-so obvious lies.

BuzzFeed explains the reason unions are balking:

Union leaders have long voiced concern over the health care law’s effect on their Taft-Hartley plans, which are collectively bargained plans maintained by multiple employers and a labor union. Under the Affordable Care Act, Taft-Hartley plan recipients (like the members of CU 226) are not eligible for tax subsidies. That makes some union employees more expensive for employers who provide health care, making employers less agreeable when it comes time to foot the bill.

Taylor is so pissed about the situation he actually approached a Republican: Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

The Washington Post quoted Taylor as saying:

“You can’t just order people to do stuff." “If their health plan gets wrecked, why would they then go campaign for the folks responsible for wrecking their health care?”

The CU Local 226 has made some leeway with MGM Resorts, Caesars and Tropicana, all of which have said members will continue to receive free health insurance. But others are still pending.

Granted, there are some happy campers who have benefited from the ACA, but many more people haven't, and this straight from the lips of  Democrat friends who voted for Obama.

UPDATE: 11/8/13:  Apparently, "Morgan Jones" lied about actually being at the compound and seeing Amb. Stevens' dead body at the hospital, so now CBS and Lara Logan are apologizing for the story. What I'd like to know is- was he actually lying to CBS about having witnessed the attack, or did he lie to his bosses in Libya because he was not meant to be there.  I guess we will never know.  Story here, on The Blaze.

CBS' 60 Minutes spent a year investigating the Benghazi terror attack that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and other Americans in Libya. It's a major indictment against the Obama administration for clearly ignoring the obvious warning signs of an impending, co-ordinated, planned terror attack by Al Qaeda, including 'Black Flags' flying over government buildings, and then lying about the fact that it was much more than a video that sparked the violence.

Lara Logan interviews several people including Morgan Jones (pseudonym), a British security guy hired to protect American diplomats, who talks about the inadequate security at the U.S. compound that he spent way too much time complaining about. to no avail.

Lt. Col. Andy Wood, a Green Beret Commander in Tripoli who was in contact with Amb. Stevens every day, talks about how the attack should have been expected since Al Qaeda had threatened to attack The Red Cross, the British Ambassador and then Americans, and they'd accomplished the first two. Again, nothing was done.

And for at least a week after the attack, the Obama Administration kept blaming an anti-Islam film for what happened in Benghazi.

Obama Has Lied About The Sequester

Greta Van Susteren, Fox News, plays a series of statements regarding the sequester clearly implicating the White House.  In other words, Barack Obama's denials that he had anything to do with it is a blatant lie.

Should we be surprised? No.

Obama and CNN's Crowley Lie About The Benghazi Terrorist Attack During Debate

Obama did not win, as many liberals would like to believe- he was smug, aggressive, mean spirited, and more importantly he flat out lied about Libya and the Benghazi terrorist attack, with the backing of CNN moderator Candy Crowley. Crowley, who showed very obvious favoritism by allowing Obama to interrupt Romney on numerous occasions, and to have more time- 4 minutes, to be exact- told the audience that Obama did indeed call it a terrorist attack in his Rose Garden speech.  Lies!!

See for yourself.  The "Benghazi" Rose Garden statement is on the White House website, but I wonder how long it will remain.

Statement by the President on the Attack in Benghazi

I strongly condemn the outrageous attack on our diplomatic facility in Benghazi, which took the lives of four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens. Right now, the American people have the families of those we lost in our thoughts and prayers. They exemplified America's commitment to freedom, justice, and partnership with nations and people around the globe, and stand in stark contrast to those who callously took their lives.

I have directed my Administration to provide all necessary resources to support the security of our personnel in Libya, and to increase security at our diplomatic posts around the globe. While the United States rejects efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others, we must all unequivocally oppose the kind of senseless violence that took the lives of these public servants.

On a personal note, Chris was a courageous and exemplary representative of the United States. Throughout the Libyan revolution, he selflessly served our country and the Libyan people at our mission in Benghazi. As Ambassador in Tripoli, he has supported Libya's transition to democracy. His legacy will endure wherever human beings reach for liberty and justice. I am profoundly grateful for his service to my Administration, and deeply saddened by this loss.

The brave Americans we lost represent the extraordinary service and sacrifices that our civilians make every day around the globe. As we stand united with their families, let us now redouble our own efforts to carry their work forward.

Where is there mention of it being a "terrorist" attack? I see the word "attack" but not "terrorist", and in the second paragraph Obama tells us that  the U.S. "rejects efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others", an obvious reference to the anti-Islam film "Innocence of Muslims."  At that point in time they were trying to make us believe that it was a spontaneous response to the movie.  It took them a very long time before they even acknowledged that it was a terrorist attack.

Lies. Lies. Lies.  Wake up America.

In the video, while talking about 9/11 he does mention "no acts of terror", but it he was definitely not referring to the four killed in Libya.
