3 Missing Denver Girls Headed To Turkey Detained In Germany

Three teens from Denver, Colorado, two of Somali descent, the third from Sudan who disappeared from home were found and deported from Frankfurt, Germany.

Relatives and other sources told VOA’s Somali Service the girls left Denver and flew to Frankfurt via Chicago. Family members alerted Denver authorities who contacted their German counterparts.

Two of the girls are sisters of ethnic Somali origin and are 15 and 16 years old. The third girl is from Sudan - her age is not yet known. It is not yet clear where they ultimately were heading, but one of the young girls reportedly told German authorities, “We are going to Turkey to study.”

The girls have since spoken to their relatives and are due to arrive back home later Sunday.

The girls, of Somali Muslim descent, just disappear one day without their parents' consent, headed for Turkey, and no-one thinks they might just be headed to join the Islamic State as jihadi brides.  Right.

I'm sure the girls will receive a slap on the hands and that's it.

Kissing 'Girlfriend's' Hand Gets 6-Year-Old Colorado Boy Suspension and 'Sexual Harassment Label

This is for the good grief file.

6 year-old Hunter Yelton is a cute young kid from Colorado who has a little girlfriend. As young lads are wont to do, he gave his little girlfriend an innocent kiss on her hand at school one day. It seems some fellow young 'uns tattled to the music teacher at a Cañon City school and Hunter landed a two day suspension for 'sexual harrassment'. That's right, sexual harassment!  The school planned on keeping that label on his school record- forever- but have since dropped the sexual harassment angle to 'misconduct', but still.  The little girl likes Hunter, so why would this qualify as sexual harassment? And a kiss on the hand?  Yes, he kissed her on the cheek on another occasion, but so what.

Hunter explains what happened:

"It was during class, yeah. We were doing reading group and I leaned over and kissed her on the hand. That's what happened."

Now the boy thinks he's done something wrong, and that a kiss on the hand is something terrible:

"They sent me to the office, fair and square. I did something wrong and I feel sorry."

Where are they, Saudi Arabia?

Hunter's mama, Jennifer Saunders, was furious that her son was labeled a sexual harasser, and that he's now questioning her about sex when those kinds of things should be far from his mind at that age.

"This is taking it to an extreme that doesn't need to be met with a 6-year-old. Now my son is asking questions -- 'what is sex, Mommy?' That should not ever be said, sex. Not in a sentence with a 6-year-old."

If he groped her in inappropriate places, or if she told him to stop and he didn't, sure, go ahead and punish the kid, but that wasn't the case.

What is happening to this country?!

According to this psychologist kissing is normal behaviour for kids that age, and that the suspension could have a negative impact on the child.

Colorado "Islamic Jihadist" Threatens Mormons and Catholics

An "Islamist jihadist" has threatened Mormons and Catholics in Fort Collins, Colorado, but he's not being considered a terrorist.

“(His behavior is) way out of line for what we consider terrorism,” said Sgt. Paul Wood, who oversees property crimes and is the agency’s terrorism liaison to the Colorado Information Analysis Center. Known as CIAC, the center was established post-9/11 to coordinate efforts to prevent statewide crimes and acts of terrorism.

Fort Collins Police Services isn’t actively searching for the white man who reportedly called himself the Archangel Michael and threatened the demise of Catholics and Mormons in the coming two weeks.

“Right now, we don’t feel there’s any danger to the public,” Wood said Monday morning. But he encouraged people — and religious organizations, especially — to report suspicious behavior to authorities.

The man, who was spotted by police in Steamboat Springs last week wearing a T-shirt wrapped around his head hasn’t been seen in Fort Collins, Wood said, nor did he know the man’s current whereabouts.

Given the information he’s collected, Wood doesn’t believe the man has a criminal background or is wanted for any crimes, which is why police haven’t released his name. And while the man hasn’t made any specific threats — other than to say everyone will soon know who he is — police aren’t ready to write him off.

Humorless Obama Voters Afraid Colorado Landlord Will Raise Rent

Colorado apartment manager John Obringer sent out a missive to his tenants at the Casa Adobe Apartments in Colorado Springs, asking to be notified who voted Democrat so he could raise their rents first "to help pay for what you asked for."

Now this is quite obviously a joke, at least how I see it, since no-one would actually volunteer that information unless they were stupid- which, of course, if they voted for Obama they are- or, they had Obama 2012 stickers plastered all over their cars. But since, for the most part, Democrats woefully lack senses of humor and the ability to detect sarcasm or satire in written or spoken word, many are up in arms about Obringer's letter.

If you read the whole thing, you can tell he has a "quirky" sense of humor, as one of his tenants remarked.

Others were appalled, as many commenting on the KRDO.com website were, calling Obringer a slumlord among, other things.

Maybe he wasn't joking, and oftentimes there is truth in jest, but either way I think this is hilarious.
