Detroit Muslim Stabs People At Bus Stop For Being Non-Muslim

The FBI is trying to determine whether the stabbing attack on two people at a Detroit bus stop by a Muslim man- because the victims were not Muslim- was a domestic terrorism or a hate crime.

Police have arrested the suspect on attempted murder charges but say that religion was behind the attack of a 52-year-old Detroit man and his 51-year-old friend who tried to intervene.

Southfield Police Chief Eric Hawkins said 39-year-old Terrence Thomas thought it was unacceptable that the victims were not Muslims.

"The suspect began stabbing one of the victims," Hawkins said of Thomas, of Detroit, who ran from the scene down Greenfield.

Thomas had two knives when police arrested him. He was later charged with attempted murder.

Both victims were treated and released from a nearby hospital.

Federal investigators are getting involved because the attack is believed to be a hate crime.

"It could constitute a hate crime," said Andy Arena, former Detroit FBI chief. "We have to see what really motivated this guy. You call it home-grown radicals, jihadis, this is really the biggest threat throughout the world right now.

"They are on the Internet, social media, they are hearing this message - and they are becoming radicalized."
Yeah, Thomas was in the possession of drugs and considered mentally unstable, but all someone like that needs is a religion that is front and center in the news on a daily basis to justify his own personal jihad.

Of course, CAIR has weighed in on the attack.
"I don't think there should be a litmus test for crazy Muslims," said Dawud Walid, executive director of Council on American Islamic Relations. "Or as if all Muslims are motivated by religion."

Walid's organization CAIR which fights for Islamic rights, said if this incident is ethnic intimidation, Thomas should be charged accordingly. But he does not think Muslims are more vulnerable when it comes to radicalization.

"Anyone who has not health issues on the fringe can be radicalized, be it, either in a street gang or joining something like an international extremist organization," Walid said. "In this case we have to wait and see what the facts are."
More like religious intimidation, which some Muslims are very good at, including CAIR itself.

And imagine the outrage if this had been the reverse. An attack on Muslims.

U.S. Terror Suspect's Niqab-Clad Mom Tells ISIS To "Leave Our Children Alone!"

Remember the Chicago 19-year-old- Mohammed Hamzah Khan - who was caught at the airport last October trying to make his way to Syria to fight with the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, along with his 16-year-old bro and 17-year-old sister? Well, an inconsolable mama Khan is really upset at those ISIS dudes for brainwashing Muslim kids to join ISIS, especially after the "unspeakable acts of horror" in Paris last week. So upset, she felt the need to speak her mind- in the courthouse lobby, of course- right after her poor baby pleaded not guilty to attempting to aid and abet a foreign terrorist organization. The guy does face up to 15 years in prison, so a little anti-terrorist rhetoric is opportune.

Zarine Khan, standing next to her husband Shafi, had this to say:

"The venom spewed by these groups and the violence committed by them ... are completely at odds with our Islamic faith." "We condemn the brainwashing and recruiting of children through the use of social media and the Internet."
And this message for ISIS and its appointed Caliph Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi:

"We have a message for ISIS, Mr. Baghdadi and his fellow social media recruiters," she said, raising her voice. "Leave our children alone!"

But this woman needs to take a good, hard look at herself and her bearded husband for the reasons why her three kids, all of whom lived at home, chose to run away to join join an Islamic terrorist group. She wears a niqab in a Western country. Not even a hijab. A niqab! It covers everything but her eyes. No effort to assimilate and integrate for these Indian-born immigrants and their U.S.-born kids. As devout as the parents are it's not surprising the kids could become so easily radicalized, if they weren't somehow radicalized at home. They claim they had no idea

Mohammed's attorney, Thomas Durkin, says the guy was radicalized online. The letter he left his parents is proof enough, along with the ISIS flag doodles. And his sister posted on her Twitter account @DeathIsVNear a smiley face and a heart in response to an ISIS propaganda video full of   beheadings.  Mohammed still aspires to live in an Islamic Caliphate. Were his parent's that stupid that they had no clue what was going on in their kids' lives?

In December 2014, The Washington Post had an interesting and thorough write-up about the wannabee terrorist siblings,.

Mohammed wasn't the only one who left a letter. The other two did as well.

Mohammed wrote:
“An Islamic State has been established and it is thus obligatory upon every able-bodied male and female to migrate there." “Muslims have been crushed under foot for too long. . . . This nation is openly against Islam and Muslims. . . . I do not want my progeny to be raised in a filthy environment like this.”
Where does a 19-year-old learn to hate the West? From uber religious parents.

Sis wrote:

“Death is inevitable, and all of the times we enjoyed will not matter as we lay on our death beds. Death is an appointment, and we cannot delay or postpone, and what we did to prepare for our death is what will matter.”
The kids asked the parents to join them and to not tell the police.

When the FBI showed up at their door with a search warrant they were allegedly shocked and "stunned."  In an interview at Durkin's office one day, Zarine insisted:

“What they wrote in those letters is not from us." “Those are not our teachings. That’s not what we believe in. This didn’t even come from our family, friends, neighbors — nobody.”

You won't convince me that it didn't somehow start at home.
"We tried to be the best parents we could,” she said. “That’s all I can say — we tried our best. And they are good kids. This thing came out of the blue. We are still trying to figure it out.”
Tried their best? Obviously not. One child running off, I might believe it, but all three, there's something fundamentally wrong in the way they were raised. They even went to an Islamic school, who knows how they were indoctrinated there.

And then this:

Shafi Khan, who came to Chicago from India almost 30 years ago, and Zarine Khan, who followed her husband 20 years ago, said they consider themselves “average” Muslims, no more or less religious than any of their friends and neighbors in Bolingbrook, Ill., a suburb of about 73,000 people southwest of Chicago.
They try to pray five times a day but said they often don’t. Shafi Khan wears a bushy beard and a white knit skullcap, which he said is an attempt to follow the example of the prophet Muhammad. Zarine Khan covers her head and most of her face, which she considers a sign of modesty, not extreme piety.
Sorry Zarine, but the niqab is a sign of extreme piety and religious fundamentalism, not a sign of modesty.

The Washington Post article inadvertently, or maybe not, points out all the contradictions in how the kids were actually raised and how the parents claim they raised them. It's worth a read.

Younger bro and sis lucked out, they have not been charged, as of yet. They also have a three-year-old girl.

Did Parents Of Chicago Guy Headed To Join ISIS Influence Him?

Here's a picture of the parents of 19-year-old Mohammed Hamzah Khan, that Chicago guy who was arrested at O'Hare International Airport this past Saturday on his way to Syria to join the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.

Any wonder why he might have been inspired to go to Syria to fight with ISIS? Mother wears a niqab, not just a veil, but a niqab. And according to anti-political Islam Canadian Muslim Tarek Fatah, the fact the father has a beard but no mustache is a "dead give away." Fatah tweeted:
"Anytime u see a Muslim with long beard & moustache shaved off @Swiftie01 chances r fella is radical Anti-West, prime candidate for jihad."

He lived with his quite obviously religiously conservative Muslim parents Zarine Khan and Shafi Ullah Khan in Bolingbrook, a suburb of Chicago. Shared a room with a younger brother. Purchased a $4,000 ticket to Istanbul, Turkey. Not sure where a 19-year-old would get $4,000 plus cash for a hotel room and a bus ticket to Syrian/Turkish border towns. And none of the family knew what he was planning?

He allegedly left the following letter for his parents:

"FIRST and FOREMOST, PLEASE MAKE SURE TO NOT TELL THE AUTHORITIES For if this were to happen it will jeopardize not only the safety of us but our family as well."
He also asked his parents and siblings to "join me in the Islamic State."

I think that would be a grand idea.

The Battle Against ISIS- Leon Panetta Predicts A 30 Year War

Like a metastasizing, aggressive cancer, the Islamic State (ISIS) is spreading. They've managed to take control of the eastern side of the Syrian border town of Kobani (aka Kobane), raising their black flag high atop a building and a hill for everyone to see. The same town where a young Kurdish fighter, Arin Mirkan, allegedly a commander in the Kurdish People's Protection Unit (YPG), blew herself up while fighting ISIS jihadists in the outskirts of Kobani. Trying to keep them from overtaking the mainly Kurdish town.

ISIS is gaining ground both in that region and globally, where more and more recruits are attempting to make their way to Syria and Iraq. Some are caught, we can only assume a bunch have already made their way there, or will, without being apprehended. Take Mohammed Hamzah Khan, 19, a Chicago kid who was planning on making the trek to Syria to join ISIS until he was caught at O'Hare International Airport this past Saturday. Maximum jail sentence would be 15 years. And remember this stupid Muslim convert, Military Explorer trained Shannon Maureen Conley, who was also trying to make the trek to Syria to join ISIS and her future Tunisian husband she met online, back in July of this year? Here is her uber-bizarre story.   Egypt just busted an ISIS recruiting cell over there. Indonesia is battling a problem with ISIS recruitment. And then you have France, Australia, England, in fact many European countries are represented in ISIS. They are everywhere, and it's going to be a huge problem.

And the West's air strikes against militants in Syria and Iraq don't seem to be of much help. In fact, Barack Obama's ex-Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta predicts a 30 year war with ISIS, blaming Obama for not arming the moderates during Syria's version of the Arab Spring, way back when foreign fighters were not involved, and it was just a bunch of people yearning for democracy. And he's absolutely right,  I have said as much in the past.

Panetta told USA Today:

“I think we’re looking at kind of a 30-year war” that could extend to threats in Libya, Nigeria, Somalia and Yemen, Panetta told the newspaper.

Panetta, a respected policymaker who served under Obama, blamed the challenges on decisions the president made over the past three years.

Among those decisions, he cited Obama’s failure to push the Iraqi government hard enough to allow a residual U.S. force to stay in the country after troops withdrew in 2011, saying that created a security “vacuum.”

The former defense secretary also pointed to Obama’s rejection of advice in 2012 from Panetta and then-secretary of state Hillary Clinton to begin arming Syrian rebels fighting against President Bashar al-Assad.

“I do think we would be in a better position to kind of know whether or not there is some moderate element in the rebel forces that are confronting Assad,” Panetta said.

We're in this for the long haul, at least one can hope, since the alternative is far too hideous to contemplate.

ISIS Propaganda Video - Flames of War

ISIS's slick 58 minute propaganda film "Flames of War- Fighting Has Just Begun." It's produced by Alhayat Media Center.

It's their attempt to intimidate the U.S. and the rest of the West into stopping our fight against them.

Note the American jihadist towards the end of the video, and the Canadian narrator.

Watch the Video published by Clarion Project on YouTube.

The full video has disappeared so here is a snippet.

ISIS Supporter In Houston Deli?

Islamic State of Iraq and Syria in Turkey, not surprising. This video, shot via cellphone by some Iraqis in Turkey, shows alleged ISIS fighters riding a tram in Istanbul. Then again, there are some who believe the Turks are aiding and abetting militants who are crossing from their borders into Syria, actually providing shelter and food, weapons and medical treatment.

But ISIS supporters eating at a Houston deli?

This was first published on Sept. 11, the 13th anniversary of the terror attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. According to Houston’s KTRK, a photo of a man wearing an Islamic robe with an ISIS logo has been making the rounds on various social media sites and has quite a few people wondering if indeed, ISIS is in America.
KTRK said they’ve been trying to get more information on this but hasn’t had much luck so far.

More on the story at Conservative Firing Line.

Somali Women From Minneapolis Join ISIS

Young men from the Somali community in Minneapolis/St Paul have made the trek to Somalia to join the terrorist group al-Shabaab, and now women are running off to Syria to join the some 15-20 men fighting for the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

At least three Somali families in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area have female relatives who have gone missing in the past six weeks and may have tried to join ISIS, said community leader Abdirizak Bihi. He said that while the reasons for their disappearance were unclear, he had told the families to contact police.
In a separate case, a 19-year-old American Somali woman from St. Paul snuck away from her parents on Aug. 25 saying she was going to a bridal shower. Instead, she flew to Turkey and joined IS in Syria.
And according to the FBI, there could be more recruits.

Greg Boosalis, FBI division counsel in Minneapolis, said law enforcement was investigating the possible recruitment in the area by Islamist extremists of other females, as well as males, but refused to comment on specific cases.

“We are looking into the possibility of additional men and women travelers,” he said.

Somali leaders and sources close to police worry that the reports of female would-be jihadis from the region could mark a new trend.

The St. Paul woman is highly likely to have been recruited by ISIS through Islamist sympathizers in the United States, rather than joining the group on her own, they said. At least one other woman is suspected of helping her leave the United States.
And it's not just from the Twin Cities Somali community. They're being recruited from all over the U.S. John McAuthor McCain, who was killed a few months back in Syria, was a Muslim convert from San Diego. And then this young woman from Colorado.

Another U.S. teenager, nurse's aide Shannon Conley, 19, from Colorado, pleaded guilty this week to trying to travel to the Middle East to enroll in ISIS. She was arrested at Denver International Airport in April with a one-way ticket and had been recruited online by a male militant in Syria.
And that's just the ones we actually hear about. How many more have just slipped away without being detected.

If they're not killed over there, which one could only hope for, they better not be allowed back into this country.

Ex-US Soldier Sentenced To 7 Years For Trying To Join Al-Shabaab

The 26-year-old ex-US Army intelligence specialist Craig Benedict Baxam who was caught trying to join al-Shabaab in Somalia in 2011, was just sentenced to 7 years in prison for destroying his computer, plus 5 years of supervised release.  The idiot apparently converted to Islam shortly before he left the military and wanted to fight with one of the most extreme Islamic terrorist groups in existence. Baxam was arrested by Kenyan police as he tried to cross over into Somalia.

He was charged and sentenced for destroying his computer which had information that would aid in a terrorism investigation.

His defense said the lad just wanted to go practice his religion, even though FBI agents who interviewed him in Kenya said:

"... that he would fight against any country, including the United States and his former colleagues in the U.S. Army, if Al Shabaab controlled areas were invaded or if anyone tried to institute a democratic government there."

So what happens to him when his 12 years is up? He's left to plot his way to get to heaven and those 72 virgins??

More here, and here.

American Jihadist In Syria Who Promised To Spread Islam Throughout The World- Is Dead

Well there's one less foreign jihadist fighting in Syria. This one happened to be American. The video is of Abu Dujana al-Amriki- while still alive- with a message for the West about how he and his mujahideen buddies will defy and kill all the Kuffar (infidels) that get in the way of spreading Islam and Shariah in Syria and the rest of the world.

The Syrian Army sent him off to meet his 72 (virgins) in the village of al-Hamra, in northwestern Syria.

Adios.

Fort Hood Shooter Nidal Hasan Paid $278,000 While Jailed

Outrageous. Nidal Malik Hasan, the Muslim major who gunned down fellow soldiers in 2009, has been receiving his salary while awaiting trial.  To date, he's received over $278,000. 13 people were mercilessly killed, 32 injured, it was obviously Hasan who murdered them, and yet according to some ludicrous military code he gets to keep his salary until he is proven guilty.  And yet, those wounded soldiers have been left high and dry: no pay or medical benefits that they would have received had they been wounded in combat, or had the attack been designated a "terrorist attack."

Retired Army Spc. Logan Burnett, a reservist who, in 2009, was soon to be deployed to Iraq, was shot three times when a gunman opened fire inside the Army Deployment Center.

“I honestly thought I was going to die in that building,” said Burnett. “Just blood everywhere and then the thought of -- that's my blood everywhere.”

Burnett nearly died. He's had more than a dozen surgeries since the shooting, and says post-traumatic stress still keeps him up at night.

Burnett is now fighting a new battle; only this one is against the U.S. Army.

The Army has not classified the wounds of the Ft. Hood victims as “combat related” and declines to label the shooting a “terrorist attack”,

The “combat related” designation is an important one, for without it Burnett and other shooting victims are not given combat-related pay, they are not eligible for Purple Heart retirement or medical benefits given to other soldiers wounded either at war or during the Sept. 11, 2001 attack on the Pentagon.

As a result, Burnett, his wife Torey, and the families of other Fort Hood victims miss out on thousands of dollars of potential benefits and pay every year.
Even though it was obviously more than "workplace violence", this is what the Army has chosen to label it. Hasan lucks out, and the wounded troops suffer.

Fort Hood Massacre Still Considered 'Workplace violence" - Victims Sue

I don't ever recall being so jaded and skeptical when I was growing up. Something terrible would happen and the initial shock and outrage turned to sadness. I never assumed the worst. When a mother appealed on national television for the return of her children, I never thought she would eventually turn out to be the killer. But now, when a husband finds his wife dead, or parent's claim their child is missing, I automatically assume they're guilty. Right or wrong, it's only natural to jump to conclusions, especially in an ever increasing violent world.

So, when a U.S. Army psychiatrist went on a rampage in Fort Hood, Texas, in 2009 killing 13 people (including a pregnant woman), wounding 30 more, his name turned out to be Nidal Malik Hasan, and his battle cry was "Allahu Akbar", you bet I assumed the worst. At the time, we were cautioned not to jump to conclusions by President Obama and others in the media, but some of us new better. Even before his name was mentioned I jumped to conclusions. Why? For various reasons. First of all, there had been serious threats by homegrown jihadists to attack military installations and malls in the U.S. And then six radical Islamists were charged in 2007 with a plot to attack Fort Dix.

Then there was the 23-year-old Muslim convert, Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad (also known as Carlos Bledsoe), who killed several U.S. Army recruiters in West Little Rock, in June 2009, who was eventually sentenced to life in prison without parole.

So yes, I considered Hasan a jihadist even before information concerning his extremist activities started to surface. And yes, he should be considered a terrorist, regardless of his religious affiliation. With premeditation, he gunned down over 40 people in cold blood, including two females.

If the U.S. government was in denial, so was his family who believed their sweet Nidal was incapable of such violence:

"I've known my brother Nidal to be a peaceful, loving and compassionate person who has shown great interest in the medical field and in helping others," his brother, Eyad Hasan, of Sterling, Va., said in a statement Saturday. "He has never committed an act of violence and was always known to be a good, law-abiding citizen."

And yet he did what he did.

Colleagues, however, painted a different picture. According to them, Hasan had showed signs of extremist thought, but most were too afraid to say anything for fear of seeming Islamophobic.

[Hasan] once gave a lecture to other doctors in which he said non-believers should be beheaded and have boiling oil poured down their throats. He also told colleagues at America's top military hospital that non-Muslims were infidels condemned to hell who should be set on fire. The outburst came during an hour-long talk Hasan, an Army psychiatrist, gave on the Koran in front of dozens of other doctors at Walter Reed Army Medical Centre in Washington DC, where he worked for six years before arriving at Fort Hood in July.Colleagues had expected a discussion on a medical issue but were instead given an extremist interpretation of the Koran, which Hasan appeared to believe.

Fellow doctors told of how Hasan would say he was a "Muslim first and American second." They also claim he became very disturbed because he was about to be deployed to Iraq. Some people claim PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) triggered the attack, and yet he had never had to fight! There have been thousands of soldiers who have returned from military action in Iraq and Afghanistan with PTSD. Too many, sadly, have committed suicide, some have had violent episodes, but none have ever gone on a shooting spree, as a result of their PTSD.

Also in denial about his motives, the media  made it seem as if this was some random act of workplace violence- that this poor man simply snapped under pressure from being harassed about being a Muslim, and not wanting to fight in Iraq. But weeks prior to the massacre, Hasan gave away some of his possessions, and:

One of Hasan's neighbours described how on the day of the massacre, about 9am, he gave her a Koran and told her: "I'm going to do good work for God" before leaving for the base.
Witnesses have also described him as being cold and calm during the attack, not quite the demeanour one would expect from someone who had spontaneously gone off the deep end.

He had also been linked to the Dar al-Hijrah mosque in Virginia, which he attended in 2001. The same mosque where radical preacher Anwar al-Awlaki, was "spiritual advisor" to several of the 9/11 terrorists. Fellow Muslim soldiers also talked about his radical points of view, including religious justification for suicide bombings.

Why was nothing done when so many people witnessed Hasan's anti-American and Islamic extremist rhetoric? Since 2005, both the Army and FBI had quite a bit of information regarding email correspondence between Hasan and al-Awlaki. Being in denial about the potential of terrorist acts by religious fanatics in this country isn't going to make the problem go away. And cries of Islamophobia don't help the matter. Muslims need to realize that as long as they continue to apologize for the violence rather than condemn it, we will continue to jump to conclusions. There are some that do, but there has to be a greater voice of condemnation.

The video below has testimony and eye witness accounts of what happened that day during the Fort Hood massacre, by some of the wounded victims. In the video they ask that the attack be officially designated as what it rightfully should be called: a terrorist attack. And this past November 148 victims and their families filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the government, Hasan, and the estate of al-Awlaki.

American Rapping Jihadist Gets Chastised By Somalia's Al-Shabaab

Oh-oh, looks like Alabama born Abu Mansoor al-Amriki (fka Omar Hammami), the jihadist-cum-rapper living in Somalia, has formally become persona-non-grata with his fellow jihadists al-Shabaab.  28-year-old al-Amriki- born in Daphne, Alabama to a Southern Baptist mom of Irish descent and a Syrian Muslim dad- moved to Somalia in 2006 to join the fight to kill Kuffars (infidels) and Islamize the country. He left behind in Egypt a Somali-born/Canadian woman he had met and married while living in Canada, and their child.

Rapping (badly) to recruit American jihadis to the cause, he started to have problems with al-Shabaab this year, or so he claims. Back in May he let it be known that he feared for his life, and Hammami's mommy Debra told ABC news that she still loved him in spite of his terrorist ways, and wanted him home.  It seems al-Shabaab finally made it official and have "publicly chastised", something they claim they did not want to do.

“Abu Mansoor Al-Amriki does not, in any way, shape or form, represent the views of the mujahedeen in Somalia,” a statement posted via a link on the Shebab’s Twitter site read.
The “superficial allegations” made in the videos and statements are “the results of personal grievances that stem purely from a narcissistic pursuit of fame,” the statement added.

Yes, even terrorists have Twitter and Facebook accounts it seems.

Here's the whole statement, in case you are interested.

Apparently, al-Amriki wanted more fame than al-Shabaab was willing to bestow upon him.

“The jihadi theatre nevertheless accommodates people of all sorts. Some, above others, occasionally rise to prominence often with little merit save for their uniqueness,” the statement read.
“Contrary to portraits of the grand strategist, recruiter and fundraiser portrayed by the Western media, Abu Mansur Al-Amriki does not hold any position of authority.”

Maybe mommy will get her wish, he'll move back and have a nice career as a prison rapper.
