KY Hospital Orders Diversity Training For Staff Over Barack Obama Halloween Costume

Someone decided to dress up as Barack Obama in a straitjacket for the Jennie Stuart Medical Center annual Halloween costume party in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. BO was part of a threesome- note the race of the two others dressed as guards.

After performing a short skit titled "VIP Special Delivery", they came third in the costume contest. However, some overly sensitive people took offense to the BO costume, so now everyone at the medical center (all 750 staff members) is being forced to take diversity training.  They are also being told not to wear anything offensive at future events: including "political, religious, ethnic and gender based costumes."

One man interviewed in the video link below talks about disrespecting the president, but had that been G.W. Bush, or any other Republican president (and they do have those masks) this would have been a non-event.

Should Kids Have Guns? 5-year-old Kills Sister With His Rifle

Giving a 5-year-old child a .22-caliber rifle as a gift is ludicrous. Leaving that child alone with his 2-year-old sister is criminal. As a result of two idiotic parents taking the 2nd amendment way too far, their daughter is dead.

2-year-old Caroline Starks was shot dead by her 5-year-old brother. Yes, it was an accident. Yes, everyone is devastated, including the townfolk, but that's irrelevant.

Apparently, the boy had been given the gun last year for his fourth birthday, and was playing with it in the house when mom stupidly walked out of the house for a moment, leaving her son alone with his gun, and boom. One child gone.

The weapon was a Crickett rifle made for children, and called "My First Rifle", and had been sitting in the corner of their house (not locked up as it should have been) with a shell in the barrel, that the mum claims she had no idea was still there.  So maybe the son wasn't playing with the gun when she went out to the porch, but the fact that the gun was lying around the house is unconscionable.

Local coroner Gary White said of the incident, it was "just one of those crazy accidents".  No, it's crazy to give a 5-year-old a real gun.

The lucky parents will not be charged with negligence, although they should be.

KY Woman Tries To Buy iPads With Food Stamps

In Obama's world people try to buy iPads with food stamps, but they're stupid enough to try it twice.

Apparently, Tracy Browning decided she needed two iPads so she took a little trip to her local Louisville, Kentucky Walmart to purchase them. When her EBT (food stamps) card was declined, she assaulted a clerk as she made a run for it, items in hand.  Then the Darwin Award contender made her way to another Walmart where she attempted to buy a few more. That's when she was arrested.

More Big Losses For Obama In Kentucky and Arkansas

I have to wonder what's going on inside Barack Obama's arrogant, narcissistic head since he lost 41 percent  of the West Virginia Democratic primary vote to Texas jailbird Keith Russell Judd, and now 40% of the vote in Arkansas to attorney John Wolfe, and 42 percent (and 67 out of 120 counties) in Kentucky to the "uncommitted" option, or in other words- no-one.  The same thing happened in Oklahoma, he only won 57 percent and  21 percent of North Carolina voters also voted for the "uncommitted" option.

Naturally, there are those who are chalking it up to racism, the only reason liberals believe people don't like Obama, but these are fellow Democrats, so I guess that would just prove that some Democrats are as racist as some Republicans.

These losses are just going to prompt Obama to dig for dirt, and this election is going to get very nasty.

Kentucky Church Bans Interracial Couples As Members

I thought this country had moved well beyond the Jim Crow- mentality days, but I'm sadly mistaken. There are still racists out there who fail to look beyond the color of someone's skin, and some of those racists are living in Pike County, Kentucky.

The Freewill Baptist Church in Gulnare, Kentucky, has made a decision

"... not to accept interracial couples as members or let them take part in some worship activities."

It all started with Dean Harville's smart 24-year-old daughter Stella, who is studying at an Indiana university for her master's degree.  Optical engineering.  Although Stella is not an actual member of the church, Dean has been for a very long time, after all, Stella was baptized in that church.  Dean also happens to be a clerk and the Church secretary. Stella is engaged to 29-year-old Ticha Chikuni, from Zimbabwe. But he's obviously not the right color for this particular Baptist church, because after Stella brought her  fiancĂ© to a service in June, and he sang "I Surrrender All" while she accompanied him on the piano, some very racist decisions were made.

Dean Harville said Melvin Thompson, who had been pastor for many years, told him in August that his daughter and her fiancé couldn't sing at the church again.

Thompson stepped down as pastor in August, citing health issues, but he refused Harville's requests to drop the issue, Harville said.

The new pastor, Stacy Stepp, said the couple could sing at the church if they wanted, Harville said.

In early November, Thompson proposed the church go on record saying that while all people were welcome to attend public worship services there, the church did not condone interracial marriage, according to a copy of the recommendation supplied by the Harvilles.

The proposal also said "parties of such marriages will not be received as members, nor will they be used in worship services" or other church functions, with the exception of funerals.

The recommendation "is not intended to judge the salvation of anyone, but is intended to promote greater unity among the church body and the community we serve," the copy supplied to the Herald-Leader read.

Funerals? How generous. And what's this about greater unity?  Barring certain people is the antithesis of unity.

Hardware store owner, Thompson, claims it was all taken out of contest but refused to elaborate further. And of a 40 or so membership, only 15 voted- 9 of those are obviously racist, 6 are not. Some cowards abstained.

Dean himself believes it's racism.
Harville said the resolution was motivated by racism and has given the church, the community, the county and even God a black eye.

"It sure ain't Christian. It ain't nothing but the old devil working," Harville said.
Thankfully, they seem to be in the minority, since many have voiced outrage at what is a blatantly racist decision.

Johnson, with the local ministerial association, said the reactions have included heartbreak and disbelief.

"Most of us thought that we'd moved well beyond that," he said.
Obviously not.

Not very Christian of them!

UPDATE 12/7/11:

Looks like there was such an outcry, the Kentucky Church decided to reverse its decision to ban interracial couples.  Whether their decision was based on the fact that it's against state and federal laws to discriminate or they found it was the Christian thing to do is debatable.   But Pastor Stacy Stepp said that this time around, the congregation voted to "accept all people regardless of race, creed, or color and to accept everyone into the fellowship of Christ."
