The Real Romney The MSM Won't Share, By Couple Who Bought Their UT Home
This is something you will not see in the mainstream media: a bi-partisan couple who purchased Mitt and Ann Romney's Park City, Utah, home lock, stock and barrel in 2009 sharing their insights into a man that the liberals love to vilify, calling him out of touch with the common man.
Corinne and Hal Prewitt (Hal's a race car driver) have voted both Republican and Democratic in the past, depending on the candidate, and were neither pro-Romney nor anti-Obama, but felt compelled to share their story with the public.
We need to get this information out there.
Corinne and Hal Prewitt (Hal's a race car driver) have voted both Republican and Democratic in the past, depending on the candidate, and were neither pro-Romney nor anti-Obama, but felt compelled to share their story with the public.
"The Mitt Romney we know - Insight into the man". Corinne and I have released a story to the public & press. It has gone viral. When you read it the reason will become clear. We bought Mitt Romney's home and have an insight into the man & his family few others have. Private details, how he acted out of public view and when not running for office. Mitt Romney is very different from the man that many Americans have been led to believe. Not all, but many people will be surprised and amazed. Here is a snippet from their story. It shows Romney to be an honorable, devoted family man who does not impose his beliefs on others, and who has lived a very non-ostentatious life- in spite of his millions- if his Park City Utah home and its furnishings (which the Prewitts received along with the purchase of the home) is any indication.
No one can say with absolute certainty what kinds of decisions a president will make while still a candidate for that office. To predict, we only have access to their words, history and if available the most useful facts of all, how they acted out of public view and when they are not running for office. This is why our story is so important, valuable and must be told. No doubt some will want to dismiss our story or argue that it is not newsworthy nor relevant. However, we hope our voters are given the opportunity to hear the truth, especially when the facts directly contradict what many people think to be true.
Our story was written and became public after Democratic, Republican and Independent voters recommended and found it valuable. We are messengers, delivering facts. We were not Mitt Romney supporters nor anti-Obama. The facts do change who we support. Regardless of who any of us are supporting in the presidential election, we all are better served by knowing the truth. This story was not approved by Mitt Romney or his campaign as these are Corinne & Hal Prewitt's words and the efforts to publish are their own.
The Mitt Romney we know - Insight into the man & his family 8/26/2012
Ours is a factual story that provides a rare glimpse and insight into the real Mitt Romney. Does he really relate to the average American? As President, would he impose his beliefs onothers? Is he really Christian?
Growing up in Florida and Pennsylvania, we knew little to nothing of Utah, Mitt Romney, his family or values, beliefs, religion and his capabilities. We were amazed by what we learned. We are messengers, delivering facts and initially were not Mitt Romney supporters nor antiObama. The facts do change who we support. We are not part of any campaign, not Mormon nor religious activists. We have voted for Democrats and Republicans and believe voters should elect the best person regardless of political party.
When you buy a home and its contents from someone you really learn a lot about their true character, values and beliefs. And rarely does anyone have the opportunity to learn how a politician acts out of the public's view and when they are not running for office. Well, this actually happened. When? Only a few years ago, in spring of 2009 when we bought Mitt Romney's Park City, Utah home. His family lived in this home for about ten years. Because our purchase included most of the contents, we gained a unique and unusual perspective of him and his family of which most Americans are completely unaware. What we experienced was not what we expected. Not the stereotypical actions of a millionaire and more importantly not the image most Americans have of Mitt Romney. Here is a link to their full story on pdf.

Catholic Bishop Says Voting For Obama Could Place Their Eternal Salvation In Jeopardy
Illinois Bishop Thomas John Paprocki tells Catholics that voting for Barack Obama and certain other politicians could place their "eternal salvation.. in jeopardy." He also takes umbrage with certain aspects of the Democratic platform that "explicitly endorse intrinsic evils." He doesn't have the same problem with the Republican Party.
He did, however, make it clear he wasn't telling Catholics who to vote for, although it's pretty obvious.
Ouch.

“I am not telling you which party or which candidates to vote for or against. What I am saying is that you need to think and pray very carefully about your vote." “Because a vote for a candidate who promotes actions or behaviors that are intrinsically evil and gravely sinful makes you morally complicit and places the eternal salvation of your own soul in serious jeopardy.”
Ouch.

The Legal Project Wants "Zombie Mohammed" Judge Removed For Use of Sharia
Remember the 'zombie Mohammed' case, whereby Pennsylvania Judge Mark Martin dismissed the harassment charges that atheist Ernest Perce levied against Muslim Talaag Elbayomy? Elbayomy had become incensed after seeing Perce dressed as a zombie Mohammed in a Halloween parade and attacked him. Martin, who called himself Muslim in the audiotaped proceedings but then later denied it, dismissed the case on the basis of Sharia law. Now a legal organization (the Legal Project) wants an investigation into the illegal, unconstitutional use of Sharia law in a U.S. court.
A legal firm dedicated to ensuring the right to freely discuss Islam is asking the Pennsylvania Judicial Conduct Board to investigate the actions of a magistrate judge who it says failed to protect the First Amendment rights of a man mocking Mohammad.
[snip]
Sam Nunberg of The Legal Project, an activity of the Middle East Forum, which is representing Perce. He has a problem with Judge Martin's recognition of sharia law.
"This ruling throws out our United States Constitution, throws out our First Amendment, puts Islamic anti-blasphemy defamation of religion laws over our First Amendment, gives it binding in the court system, and lets the defendant off of a crime, rationalizing that what he did would not be wrong in Islamic countries," Nunberg summarizes.
When a complaint was filed about Martin, the Pennsylvania Judicial Conduct Board only "privately rebuked" him for his ruling.
"The Judicial Conduct Board should revisit their decision and should lead an enquiry, which should possibly lead to dismissal," the attorney suggests. "His term extends into 2018. A private rebuke is certainly not something that was fitting of conduct in the courtroom from the bench."
Nunberg believes it is imperative that a judge who makes unconstitutional rulings be removed.
Who knows what will come of it, but Sharia has no place in a U.S. courtroom.

IKEA Saudi Arabia Ads Photoshop Women Out Of Photo
Notice anything different between the two IKEA ads above? One is missing the mother, and no, it wasn't intentional in as much as this wasn't some modern day notion of single parenthood: dad joyfully helping his two kids get ready for bed. But intentional, yes, because this particular ad was destined for Saudi Arabia where women are non-entities, and if they aren't covered from head to toe then they don't deserve to be seen. I guess it was easier to edit mummy out of the photo than photoshop the woman wearing a niqab.
Apparently, IKEA is not too happy with the situation-at least that's what they say- but accepts full responsibility for what happened.
"IKEA Saudi Arabia is run by a franchisee outside the IKEA Group,” the company said in their statement, but the catalogs themselves are produced by the IKEA Group for all their IKEA markets.
The Swedish company has since apologized, saying:
"We should have reacted and realized that excluding women from the Saudi Arabian version of the catalog is in conflict with the Ikea Group values."
“As a producer of the catalog, we regret the current situation,” IKEA added.
Additionally, IKEA removed the image of a female designer, featured in their other catalogs, who assisted in designing a line of their home furnishings.
“It’s impossible to retouch women out of reality,” Swedish Minister of Trade Ewa Björling told Metro newspaper. ”These images are yet another regrettable example that shows we have a long road ahead when it comes to gender equality in Saudi Arabia.”
But somebody thought it was a good idea.
Who knew the Saudis had an IKEA!
Egyptian Cleric Who Burned Bible In Front Of U.S. Embassy Faces Blasphemy Charges
At least Egypt isn't just targeting non-Muslims for blaspheming against Islam, they nabbed an uber-conservative cleric Ahmed Mohammed Mahmoud Abdallah, aka Sheikh Abu Islam, in Cairo for ripping up some New Testament bibles and then burning them in front of the U.S. Embassy. Little does he realize, fool that he is, that although some might find his actions offensive, unlike them, we aren't going to take to the streets in violent rage and tear down and burn Egyptian flags at Egyptian embassies and consulates around the world. That's the difference between them and us: we don't fly off the handle at religious slights, and what we consider as 'freedom of expression', right or wrong, offensive or not, they consider blasphemy. Unlike the Egyptian government calling for the arrest of Florida Pastor Terry Jones and several Coptic Christians who either were involved with or promoted (like Jones) the anti-Islam film "Innocence of Muslims", we're not about to issue an arrest warrant for Abu Islam.
Abu Islam- who co-owns Al Uma, a private Islamic TV station along with his ultra-conservative son- could face blasphemy charges against Christianity, something that rarely happens in that country. The case goes to trial on September 30.
I'm sure Morsi couldn't care less that a bible was ripped up and burned, this isn't the first time it's happened, he's just trying to show the West that arresting blasphemers is the way to go, which is probably what he wants us to do with all those involved in the "Innocence of Muslims" film. But that isn't going to happen.

Health Insurance Premiums Have Skyrocketed Under Obama
Remember how Barack Obama promised to lower health insurance premiums and assured everyone that they would not lose their preferred doctors? Well, some of those who bought into his hype are suddenly realizing they were merely pipe dreams after their premiums have jumped, in some cases, up 15% or more. This happened to someone I know, although I'm sure it won't deter her from voting for Obama again. Supposedly her company is also being assessed an additional tax in January 2013, this after they had to drop the group policy because they couldn't afford the premiums. And you can rest assured this is happening to many small companies nationwide. My own COBRA premiums increased a few quarters ago, but I never believed his lies, so it wasn't a surprise.
Investors Business Daily claims that insurance premiums have steadily increased under Obama's leadership:
Obama made lowering insurance costs a major issue during his 2008 campaign:
And ObamaCare has only made the problem worse.
And it's not going to get any better.
Investors Business Daily claims that insurance premiums have steadily increased under Obama's leadership:
During his first run for president, Barack Obama made one very specific promise to voters: He would cut health insurance premiums for families by $2,500, and do so in his first term.
But it turns out that family premiums have increased by more than $3,000 since Obama's vow, according to the latest annual Kaiser Family Foundation employee health benefits survey.
Premiums for employer-provided family coverage rose $3,065 — 24% — from 2008 to 2012, the Kaiser survey found. Even if you start counting in 2009, premiums have climbed $2,370.
What's more, premiums climbed faster in Obama's four years than they did in the previous four under President Bush, the survey data show.
Obama made lowering insurance costs a major issue during his 2008 campaign:
In a debate with Sen. John McCain, for example, Obama said "the only thing we're going to try to do is lower costs so that those cost savings are passed onto you. And we estimate we can cut the average family's premium by about $2,500 per year."
At a campaign stop in Columbus, Ohio, in February 2008, Obama promised that "We are going to work with you to lower your premiums by $2,500. We will not wait 20 years from now to do it, or 10 years from now to do it. We will do it by the end of my first term as president."
To back that up, Obama pointed to a memo drafted by Harvard professors (and unpaid campaign advisers), which claimed that investing in health care IT, cutting administrative bloat, and improving management of chronic diseases would cut health costs by $140 billion a year. That would translate into $2,500 in premium savings for families.
But those projections were wildly optimistic, overestimating potential savings from IT, making big assumptions about disease management, and ignoring the fact that past government interventions have always increased health care administrative costs.
And ObamaCare has only made the problem worse.
In 2011, premiums spiked 9.5%, and many in the industry blame ObamaCare for at least part of it. Premiums climbed another 4.5% in 2012, Kaiser found.
And it's not going to get any better.
