Video- Al Qaeda Winning The Hearts of Syrian People With Food During Eid

This is how the Islamists and al-Qaeda minions win the hearts and souls of the people, especially the children-  through their starving stomachs.

In Syria, the Islamic State of Iraq and Al Sham's propaganda video shows militants riding into areas of Idlib province for Eid Al Adha with their black flag flapping in the wind, sporting hunks of freshly slaughtered lamb (who knows whose animals they butchered) like knights in shining armor.  They seem to be focusing on the kids, because it's easy to indoctrinate them with hate, and the inherent violence in al-Qaeda groups is already having an impact. Remember these kids playing behead the enemy?

But it's not just Syria, the Muslim Brotherhood and the Salafists in Egypt were buying votes with meat during the initial parliamentary elections in November 2011, during Eid Al Adha. and we know what happened shortly thereafter.

North Korea's Luxury Water Park Opens, Still Waiting For The Ski Resort

North Korea (DPRK) is piss poor. Outside of the capital Pyonyang the people are starving. They have a zillion people holed up in labor/prison camps all over the country, and Kim Jong-un is building luxury ski resorts and water parks, for tourists and the privileged class.

The ski resort, meant to show the world that the DPRK is "civilized" was slated to open on October 10th, it did not, which means some comrades have probably landed themselves- along with their entire family- in one of those labor camps.  Apparently when the current 'dear leader' was a young lad studying in Switzerland (under an alias), he became enamored of skiing, so now he wants one for himself. Located about a 4 hour ride from Pyonyang, in the Masik Pass, resort plans include two hotels, chalets, ski runs and lifts and some fun sleigh rides.

What did just manage to open is the humongous, luxurious Munsu Water Park, and they're all mighty proud of it. There are even a few foreign diplomats in attendance. Check out the perfectly orchestrated opening ceremony video here, including matching swim suits. Most look like they're having so much fun. It's got everything you could want including a gym, so all those uber-skinny, hungry people can bulk up a bit.

What a creepy place. One of the last places I would visit as long as the Kim-god dynasty is in control.

Court Bans Non-Muslims From Using "Allah" In Malaysia- Again

Non-Muslims in Malaysia for some odd reason have been using the Arabic (note, not Muslim) word for God- Allah- for a very long time. According to islamreligion.com, even Arabic speaking Jews and Christians use it.  It simply means 'God'. In fact, it predates Islam - Arabic Christians were using it long before Islam was an inkling in Mohammed's mind, so Muslims have absolutely no exclusive rights to it, but Malaysian Muslims feel they do.

Why non-Muslims over there, who I assume don't speak Arabic, have chosen to use the word is unclear; but they have, and the Muslim majority don't like it. So much so, the government banned it, then the ban was overturned, then it was banned again, and when Christians appealed the decision, the courts just upheld that ban.

It's been an ongoing battle for quite some years.

The first time the High Court overturned the ban in 2010 was after a Roman Catholic newspaper- The Herald- petitioned to be allowed to use Allah in its Malay language editions. In what has become a common overreaction by Muslim hardliners to minor things they find offensive, 9 churches were firebombed.  The attacks were a blow to the government's "1Malaysia" credo, with its major focus on ethnic and religious harmony. Though it's obviously not such a great concern.

Christians believe it violates their religious rights not to be allowed to use 'Allah' since the word has somehow made its way into the Malay language, but Muslims are usually only concerned when they believe their rights have been violated, so they don't really care about anyone else's.  The typically paranoid reasoning behind the controversy is the fear of proselytizing.  Yes, apparently the Malaysian government is afraid that if everyone uses the word, Muslims might become confused and might unwittingly be converted to another faith. It's some nefarious plot by Christians to gain converts, which of course it's not.

According to Judge Mohamed Apandi Ali:

... the use of ''Allah'' was ''not an integral part of the faith and practice of Christianity.'' ''It is our judgment that there is no infringement of any constitutional rights'' in the ban, he said. ''We could find no reason why the (Catholic newspaper) is so adamant to use the word 'Allah' in their weekly. Such usage if allowed will inevitably cause confusion within the community.''

Since Arabic Christians used the word Allah to refer to God way before Muslims did, perhaps they should take the word back, and ban all Muslims from referring to God as Allah.

Words are words and they don't belong to anyone.

In "Ideal Islamic Society" Gays Would Be Executed- Claims UK Muslim Leader

According to Abdul Qadeer Baksh of the Islamic Center in Luton, England, all moderate Muslims believe that in an "ideal Islamic society" gays would be executed. Though he does acknowledge that this would not apply in a secular society, I have no doubt he would love England to become an Islamic state.

CAIR-MD Demands Eid Holidays Become Official School Holidays In Public Schools

Even though Muslim students are excused and tests are not given on Eid al-Fitr (end of Ramadan) and Eid al Adha (Hajj), CAIR-MD is trying to make those two Islamic holy days official school holidays for Montgomery, Maryland public schools. And, no doubt, other chapters of the Council on Islamic-American Relations will push for it to happen nationwide. They don't think it's fair that Christians and Jews get Christmas, Easter, Rosh Hashannah and Yom Kippur off from school, even though this country is based on Judeo-Christian principles. Nope, they want theirs officially recognized as well.  

Zainab Chaudry, VP of CAIR-MD and chair of the Eid Equality Coalition claims this is not about a community demanding special privileges, but about "equal rights.".  So what about Buddhists and Hindus, and Baha'is and the myriad of other religious faiths, do they get their holidays off as well, in the name of equal rights?  This is all about special privileges.

I wonder if Christian and Jewish school kids get their holidays celebrated in Muslim-majority countries? Oh right, they're not even allowed to worship in many of those countries, if there are even any left there after being killed or forced to flee.

Yemeni Nobel Peace Prize Recipient Admits She Supports The Muslim Brotherhood

Yemeni journalist, activist and politician, Tawakkol Abdel-Salam Karman, is a co-recipient of the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize. The 'face' of the Yemen Arab Spring uprisings, she also happens to support the violence-prone Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood. Probably because she belongs to the Al-Islah party, an Islamic political party whose members are mostly Muslim Brotherhood and Salafists.

In an interview (courtesy of MEMRI), a reporter questions her support of the Muslim Brotherhood, and why she's so bothered about what's happening in Egypt.

As we all know, not everyone deserves those Peace Prizes.

She has come a long way, though.  She used to wear the niqab (veil that covers all but the eyes), now she wears colorful hijabs.

Yemeni Jihadists Are Slaughtering Alawites In Aleppo, Syria

Yemeni jihadists fighting in Syria are beheading what they consider to be apostate Alawites, all in the name of Allah, "the most beneficent and the most merciful..." 

In this video, allegedly filmed in Aleppo, they are proud of their accomplishments.

Syrian Rebels Responsible For War Crimes In Latakia- Human Rights Watch- Video

Human Rights Watch (HRW) shows evidence of a massacre and hostage taking (of mostly women and children) in the Alawite region of Latakia by opposition rebel forces, including the Islamic State of Iraq and Sham and Jaish al-Muhajireen wal-Ansar  and Jabhat-al-Nusra. More than 190 civilians were killed, mostly adult men, including the paralyzed son (and wife) of an older gentlemen who had fled in the early hours of August 4th. At least 200 are being held hostage.

Could some of those children be the ones that Syrian Christian Nun, Mother Agnes Mariam, believes were killed in the Ghouta chemical attack blamed on Assad's forces?
