Once again we're faced with choosing who our next leader will be. Like 2012, we don't have a terribly great choice in either party. You've got the two front runners from a very small group of presidential wannabees in the Democratic party- Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. And a slew of Republican contenders topped by the petulant outsider Donald Trump followed by Ben Carson, who was giving Trump a run for his money until he recently slipped way down in the polls. Now it's anybody's guess who might garner enough popularity to compete with Trump for the trip to the White House.
It's always a challenge to figure out who you are most aligned with politically, so I enjoy the quizzes that pop up during election years. The latest from I Side With has an in depth quiz that covers all the categories from Economy to Foreign Policy to Education and everything in between.
Those listed in this particular quiz, in no particular order. Other than three Democrats listed at the bottom, along with Indepedent Jim Webb, all the rest are Republicans.
Donald Trump
Ben Carson
Carly Fiorino
Marco Rubio
Mike Huckabee
Ted Cruz
Jeb Bush
Rick Santorum
Rand Paul
Chris Christie
Rick Kasich
Hillary Clinton
Bernie Sanders
Martin O'Malley
Jim Webb

I really like Ben Carson, but he has no chance of winning. And no offense to all the Trump lovers, but I was not in any way a fan- I thought he was a major joke (though I've been warming to him ever so slightly), so was very surprised to see him at the top of my list on this quiz.
Am still not sure who I will vote for during the primaries.

Who Should I Vote For In 2014 Midterm Elections?
Election USA is fast approaching. On Tuesday November 4th, either in person or via absentee ballot prior to the 4th, Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, Green Partiers (and whatever odd assortment of fringe party members are out there), will get to choose who their elected officials will be. Some people will vote party line, others will vote depending upon which candidate best represents the issues most important to them, others just won't vote at all.
For those who aren't quite sure who to vote for, and would rather vote the person rather than the party, there's a new one of those handy dandy quizzes that will help identify which candidates are worthy of your vote.
The non-partisan iSideWith.com has created a Voter Guide with an extensive series of questions including the following categories:
Social Issues
Environmental Issues
Economic Issues
Domestic Policy Issues
Healthcare Issues
Foreign Policy Issues
Education Issues
Immigration Issues
And last but not least, issues pertaining to your particular State.
Just click on your State which will take you to the list of questions.
According to their FAQ, to get a more accurate indication of the best candidate to vote for, make sure to answer all the questions (note the "show more questions" right after the last question per category), and click on the "Choose another stance" to give a more detailed response.
Good luck!
Take the quiz here. For the various State ballot measures, click here.
I will continue to post quizzes if and when they materialize.
By the way, they also have quizzes for Australia, India, Canada and the U.K. Check them out at the very bottom of the web page.

Are You More Or Less Liberal Than Obama- Quiz
The CS Monitor has a fun on-line multiple-choice quiz to determine whether you are more liberal (if that's possible) or less liberal than Barack Obama. There are 21 questions based on his actual policies, not his campaign promises, including:
and

I've been surprised by results of various quizzes including this one. I guess maybe I'm more conservative and not as moderate as I had thought, but am definitely not liberal.
Have fun.
1. Since 2005 America’s dependence on foreign oil has declined, from 60 percent to 49 percent. Most people agree we need to decrease our dependence on foreign oil even further. What’s the best plan to achieve this goal?
and
3. Since 2008, millions of Americans have lost their homes in the foreclosure crisis. What would you do to help those still struggling to pay their mortgages on time?

Who Should I Vote For President In 2012- Quiz Part Two
The main GOP contenders for president have been whittled down to the presumptive nominee Mitt Romney, and straggler Ron Paul who is hanging on like a hungry dog to a bone.
Barack Obama, naturally, has no major competitors, so it looks like it will be between Obama and Romney come November. However, there are others running on a hope and no prayer of ever getting elected.
It's often a challenge to know who to vote for when none of the candidates are appetizing. But there have been a few quizzes out there to help you decide which one you are most aligned with. Back in January, when there were more Republicans vying for top dog position, I posted about ABC's Match-o-Matic quiz, which listed the top 8 GOPers still running at the time, and Barack Obama. Now there's another 2012 Presidential Election Quiz from isidewith.com, that lists those who are still in the running from all major, independent and third parties.
Besides Romney, Paul and Obama, it also includes:
Gary Johnson- formerly a Republican now running as a Libertarian
Fred Karger- the first openly gay candidate running as an Independent Republican
Jimmy McMillan- a complicated background, of The Rent Is Too Damn High Party fame
Kent Mespley- Green Party
Buddy Roemer- formerly a Democrat, then a Republican, now running as an American Elect, Reform Party candidate, (yeah, I'd never heard of it either)
There are other candidates, not included in the quiz, listed here on Wikipedia, including Texas inmate Keith Judd who just won 41% of the West Virginia Democratic vote against Obama.
When taking the quiz, make sure to click on the additional questions that some of the sections have.

Who Should I Vote For President In 2012
So far, the race for GOP nomination is wide open. At this point in time it's too hard to predict who will get the nod with Santorum winning by a very slim margin the Iowa caucuses, Romney handily winning in New Hampshire and Gingrich's slam dunk in South Carolina. I'm still not sure who I will vote for, but it's a toss up between Gingrich and Romney.
For those who are still stumped as to who to vote for in the upcoming elections (the next is Florida on January 31st), I posted several quizzes to help you decide.
Now ABC News has created their own Match-O-Matic quiz that includes a list of candidate statements on everything from the economy to global warming to abortion. All the candidates including Barack Obama and some who have already dropped out are represented, although not all categories include every candidate's statement. From 10 categories you get to pick which statement best represents your views on the subject matter.
You just might be surprised. I know I was.
UPDATE: May 2012
Here's another quiz with all the current candidates, including some third party and independents.
