Obama Speech Writer Jumps Ship-Voting McCain!

Wendy Button, Obama's speech writer (and Huffington Post blogger) has crossed over from the dark-side and is voting for John McCain! In a post on the Daily Beast entitled, "So long, Democrats", Button explains how she came to this decision. A speechwriter for Barry O (and Edwards, Clinton and Kerry in the past), the straw that broke the proverbial camel's back was what the Obama camp (via the liberal media) did to Joe The Plumber.

"The final straw came the other week when Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher (a.k.a Joe the Plumber) asked a question about higher taxes for small businesses. Instead of celebrating his aspirations, they were mocked. He wasn’t “a real plumber,” and “They’re fighting for Joe the Hedge-Fund manager,” and the patronizing, “I’ve got nothing but love for Joe the Plumber.” Having worked in politics, I know that absolutely none of this is on the level. This back and forth is posturing, a charade, and a political game. These lines are what I refer to as “hooker lines”—a sure thing to get applause and the press to scribble as if they’re reporting meaningful news."

Not only has this party belittled working people in this campaign from Joe the Plumber to the bitter comments, it has also been part of tearing down two female candidates. At first, certain Democrats and the press
called Senator Clinton “dishonest.” They went after her cleavage. They said her experience as First Lady consisted of having tea parties. There was no outrage over “Bros before Hoes” or “Iron My Shirt.” Did Senator Clinton make mistakes? Of course. She’s human. But here we are about a week out and it’s déjà vu all over again. Really, front-page news is how the Republican National Committee paid for Governor Sarah Palin’s wardrobe? Where’s the op-ed about how Obama tucks in his shirt when he plays basketball or how Senator Biden buttons the top button on his golf shirt?"

It's blatantly obvious that the mainstream media is in the tank for Obama. I have never, in my many years voting, observed such overtly biased reporting during an election. It's disgraceful. So, you can be sure there will be no mention of this anywhere other than blogs.

Hopefully she had her own transportation when she decided to vote for McCain...nothing like being banned from the Obama airplane. But this is what Obama's all about. If it's not his way, he'll take his bat and ball and go home.

I'm hoping a lot more people were affected by this poor treatment as well, finally seeing the true colors of Obama's campaign (media included).

Incog,

Great info on Button -- and glad to see defectors from the dark side come over to the Right.

I recall almost as bad media coverage back in 1964 when we worked trying to get Conservative Barry Goldwater elected. It was BAD!!

Everybody was against us.. no computers and no bloggers to even the playing field.

Keep up the good work.. we can win this thing if we faint not.!!

In Christ eternally,

PAMELA: He is like a spoiled child, among other things. And this is what over 50% of Americans want? sigh.

M.A. I hope so too, but problem is..with early voting, which Obama encouraged, those who have already voted for him are stuck.. even if they see the proverbial light. and link away. the more people know, the better.

EXPREACHERMAN: Yeah me too... but is it enough. so many aleady voted Obama and the rest are too blind or stupid to see the truth about O. I wasn't here in 1964, so I wouldn't know. Sad.

Incog,

Hmmm you are right. Not too many bloggers were here and active in 1964.

However the Left has a great strategy -- for one who is guilty. Vote early before the truth comes out!! No way ro rescind your vote. Part of the Alinsky/Cloward/Piven strategy.

Confusion to the max, a devious idea but effective for those who believe the means justify the ends.

Sad indeed.

Ingog,

Oooops Correction. The ends justify the means. Sorry 'bout that.

See... I was here in '64. An OLD mind is a terrible thing to waste. It is going fast.

EXPREACHERMAN: It was a great strategy to get people to vote early.... but people should have been able to see through that. Although, I still wonder.. as duped as they are would they even care if anything major about Obama was revealed. They probably would have voted for Hitler as long as it isn't what they perceive, in error, as another 4 years of McCain.

But you're not wasting your mind.. :-)

Was marching today for McCain and was very heartened. Will post about it tonight.
Blessings,

You may be right about early voting, but not a whole lot of new info has come out on O since it started, & I still believe a lot of early voters, like myself, just wanted to get our vote in before the mob came!

Still looking up! (Lk.21:28) I like your blog, by the way, COACR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks David. People are changing their minds, though.
A young kid out flag waving today said some of his friends with Obama bumper stickers changed their minds and are voting McCain.. there hasn't been anything major but I think more info has come out about him that makes one question him.

should be interesting.
