It's Independence Day!
Happy Birthday America. 231 years since we gained our independence. No offense, my Brit friends.
In spite of its many faults, we are truly blessed to live in a democracy where anyone can be whatever they choose to be. Where we can go from rags to riches, if we put our minds to it. Where we can sit at our computers and blog about the inadequacies of our government and politicians without being thrown in jail. Where women can drive, be lawyers and doctors or just plain housewives. Where we can wear what we want to, without fearing reprisal from religious police. Where we can build Churches, Temples and yes, even Mosques, and are free to worship any way we choose, including not worshipping at all. I could go, on, but I think I've made my point. I have lived in and travelled to many different countries, and though I enjoyed them all, I still love the good 'ol U.S.A.
Happy 4th, my friends! Enjoy the fireworks and your burgers and hotdogs. I have several tofu dogs with my name written on them.

Happy Independence Day!! I had to smile when I saw that you posted the video of Lee Greenwood's song, God Bless the USA. I just got done posting the exact same video. Great minds think alike ;-)!!
Hey, just visiting for the first time. I will have to come back now and then because you are so right to focus on the evil of Islam in the world--so many people don't get it.
Love the video. That song always chokes me up.
Happy 4th of July to you, too, my friend.

Happy Fourth of July my friend Enjoy this beautiful country of ours! :)..pass the tofu pie!
When our troops came home from Kuwait I attended five welcome home ceremonies and they played that song at each one. I still get a little teary eyed a bit. But as another person that loves the USA, I salute you. May the day find you happy and well. Are you sure that you couldn't eat one grilled hamburger today?
MUD
God Bless America indeed.
Happy 4th of July to you and Yours.

Happy Fourth,Incog
I want to try tofu someday.I always assume its like Indian cottage cheese that can be cut into chunks and fried like chicken or added to veggies.
Happy 4th. I love that song also. I've stayed away from the computer today, just enjoying the day. One thing I really enjoy is watching the troops on Fox say hello to their families. That's such a great thing. Each one smiling, hoping family will see them. They are so proud of what they are doing, fighting to preserve those freedoms you mention in your post. Thank God for each of them.
Have a great evening.
Hope you all had a Happy 4th!
HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!
Happy 4th (a little late) Inocognito

FRASY: Tofu is great. You can do anything with it, from making pies and sauces to burgers. It takes on the taste of anything you add to it. It's a great filler.. and yes, you could probably fry it.
BCF, PAULA BXX and BOB!
Thank you my friends... :-)
