Gratitude Palestinian style

For 6 months, this young Palestinian woman was treated by an Israeli doctor for some severe burns from an accident. She had been given special permission. Doctor and patient seemed to have bonded until one day, on her way to another treatment, at the clinic, she was discovered at the Gaza border with a 20 pound bomb in her underpants. Had she accomplished her mission, there would have been approximately 100 people maimed or killed at the hospital outpatient clinic, where she was being treated. She would also have killed the doctor who had been kindly helping her to heal. When caught, she tried to detonate the bomb anyway- twice! But there seems to have been a malfunction. In the video you see her cries of anguish when it fails to detonate. Apparently, her fiancee left her and she was depressed, so the typical Palestinian reaction was to martyr herself.

This is what happens when you pump into your children's impressionable minds that they are worth more dead than alive. And this is why Israelis have every right to be wary of their Palestinian neighbours.

This shows what I have said before. If you justify the murder of innocent people for one reason that might be palatable to some, others will eventually begin to do it for other reasons. The acceptance (or blind eye) of the world body to such terrorist acts because they are sympathetic to their cause will result in terrorism coming to everyone's doorstep eventually.

This is a mindset that we will never understand. Not only do they want to kill themselves to avenge perceived wrongs to themselves and their families, they also want to take out as many innocents as possible with them. It is barbarian and cannot be justified in the civilized world. Not even by Jimma Carter or other Israel bashers. As long as nursery schools are beginning the indoctrination of such violently hateful behavior, there is no hope of a better situation in the region.

Youth now-days. What's the world coming to?

This poor girl is "messed up." It is common in youth throughout the world. The suicide rate among teenagers in the U.S. is appalling. Forgive me Incognito, but their mind is twisted by the artists and actors (Hollywood) of this world who portray such a skewed view of right and wrong, beauty and ugliness, and who exhibit totally degraded moral values. Add to this, the religious and political environment that this girl is immersed in and her actions are understandable and even predictable.

AICS: It's already happening. And it's only going to get worse.

KAREN: And that's the problem. They start to pump their kids full of hate from such a young age, that it's all they know. Apparently, I just read, that other Arabs are getting fed up with them. We'll see if that does any good.

PAT: Agreed. I just wish they could see the error of their thinking, but Houswife4Palestine proves it's an impossibility.

DANNY: It's very tragic. Our youth are totally lost.

PAN: It is sad how messed up the kids are today, and the suicide rate is huge, but the difference is non-Islamic parents don't instill in their children the glory of Jihad and how wonderful it would be to kill themselves and as many Jews/Chirstians they can. We have some sicko kids who comy by that on their own, and who knows if they aren't somehow influenced by what is happening over in the middle east.
And I totally agree with you about the terrible influence of Hollywood, but I think Hollywood doesn't influence Arab kids, because I doubt they are subjected to much Western entertainment. I think it is wholly the product of the entertainment programs there that fill them with hatred and the joys of martyrdom. I'll post a video on that soon. Understandable, considering this type of indoctrination, yes, justifiable never. Not that you said it was.

Ah yes, Palestinians have so much for which to be grateful. Forty years of murderous Israeli oppression and occupation. Theft of land and water, targeted assasinations etc. What was that crazy woman thinking? I think you are even more bigoted than the last time I stopped by incog. A tall order.

Thank you LMC. Absolutely, post whatever you want. Obviously. :-)

Hello, LWB. Haven't seen you around for a while, but figured you'd find your way to a Palestinian post. Actions speak louder than words lad. Oh yes, and killing each other (Hamas vs Fatah) is terribly civilized. NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING justifies the hatred and violence that they perpetrate on innocents. You need a reality check dear, if you think it's okay to go to a hospital where you have been treated for months, strapped with a bomb, with the sole intention of killing the doctor (who has HELPED you) and other patients. That is truly SICK thinking. I'm not a bigot, I just hate people who enjoy killing innocent people in the name of religion. It just continues to prove what an anti-semite you are.
I've seen your blog.

How dare you express your own opinion on your blog, Incog! What do you think you have in this country, free speech?

Now, stop thinking for yourself and cover your head. Or, it'll be lopped off.

I watched a discussion at the Brookings Institution on C-SPAN last night. Two speakers, one a former PLO cabinet officer under Aarafat, the other Zaki Chehab, the london Bureau chief of Al-Hayat and of LBC TV. His new book is "Inside Hamas", subtitle, Untold Story of the Islamic Resistance Movement. Very interesting discussion of the history of Hamas. Neither men had concrete answers on middle eastern peace. Neither blamed the US, either. And, both made the point this latest outbreak of horrific violence was soley Muslim on Muslim, Israel had nothing to do with it.

Refreshing.

Damn, one failed electrical connection and she could have made the Darwin Awards. I am pretty sure that this makes sense somewhere but right smack dab in the middle of the US this seems about as stupid as it gets. Perhaps Jimmy Carter would want to go there and talk her out of it. MUD

The interesting element here is that the keystone event here is not hatred for Isreal but getting dumped. The report doesn't really piece it together but did she want to kill the doctor because she thought that he could have done more to repair the burn scars? Does she blame the doctor for being ugly? This would provide a more complete and plausible picture than the drive by media picture of sad girl, feeling she has no options in life due to the oppressive Israeli government, must go blow someone up... Neither mindset is acceptable but one accentuates the "limited option of living under the thumb of the evil Israeli regime" while the other tells the story of a depressed girl who, due to the indoctrination of her religeous leaders, decides she needs to kill the doctor who couldn't make her beautiful...
It is obvious which one the media chose to highlight, the evil Israeli's, not the indoctrination!

KAREN: So sad that so many people have been duped into believing that all that violence and hatred is justified. I don't. Good to see some are not blaming the US for it, because most blame Israel and the US for the infighting b/w Hamas and Fatah. What a joke.

MUD: Jimmy would probably encourage her to, considering he too believes they are justified.

FRASY: It is biting the hand. And I agree very scary.

PAT: Thanks m'dear.. will check it out.

KODIAK: Thanks for your comment. Yes, getting dumped prompted her decision to become a suicide bomber. But without that indoctrination she might have made a different choice. Like suicide (without taking innocent others with her). Yes we have our Columbines, but those are anomalies. Suicide bombings are commonplace and encouraged and glorified.
