This is why I'm a huge fan of the movie Swordfish, (and it's not because of Miss Berry's boobies). The premise of us taking out 30 to every one of our "ones" makes perfect sense to me.
There will always be innocent casualties involved when there is war, because that is what war is like. We just need to make sure those casualties are on their side and on their land(s), -not ours.
As long as we keep pounding and eschewing the message that "you will all die" (the same thing that they chant about us), maybe the message will get through far enough to create pressure from the "Good Muslims" toward the bad ones.
I agree with that Muslim fundamentalists are using our Freedom's against us and they know exactly what they are doing. And they are bloody winning too. We are limiting our liberties (US and Europe) and they sitting in their caves just laughing us. Their terror is working.
I didn't like the woman, the Senior Fellow something, she didn't add anything except dramatic statements.
I don't believe to bombing the shit of them is the answer to peace co-existence. In fact, the Muslim fundamentalists are gaining more from it then what we do. It makes no sense bombing their lands to piece and then have to fund the rebuilding of the country. We should focus on making sure that the average person has netter access to news, information and education rather then to rely on an Iman to tell them how & what to think.
If their oil revenues were shared more evenly among the people so there is less discrepancy between rich and poor, that would lead to less resentment. I work on the assumption that for most (not all!) humans if you are content with your life, you are less likely to go to war.
Fundamentalist will always exist no matter what religion. I also would like to point out the fact that Muslims, Christian and Jews are praying to the same God.
Thanks Angel.. I just hope that maybe the one's who just are ignorant or don't know might be persuaded. Ya never know.
Not sure what the right solution is...I think if we showed we refuse to bow down, they might take us more seriously.
It would be great, Lizze, if they would share the oil revenue, because I agree, it might help the situation, but unfortunately I don't think that will ever happen. I think the 'leaders' and rulers of those countries keep their people ignorant and poor for a reason. And that's the sad fact, Lizze, they are all praying to the same God and yet they have very different ways of viewing Him.

No one wants to lose EVERYTHING.

You know, war is inevitable. may as well get it over with.

And, sadly, I think you are right, BCF.
